2,4 BTC to 4000 Not including 832 BTC worth of XCR 4000 is massive what if doubles before the end? That would be a good thing, having a larger budget Lisk could attract more developers, PR, etc. Yep. With 5000 BTC we're easily looking at x20 in a few months but with 10000 BTC it could be x200 I don't see your calculation. The more hype we produce now, the less hype, we can produce later, because everybody is in already. If everyone bought on IPO, who should buy later? "Everyone" is two and a half forum members. There are hundred times more investors out there who didn't hear about Lisk yet. Ripple - Over 30M USD from VC's - 708,875 BTC market cap Ethereum - 31,531 BTC from presale - 2,631,335 BTC market cap MaidSafe - around 12,200 in BTC from presale - 109,525 BTC market cap Stellar - 3M USD from Stripe - 30,538 BTC market cap Bitshares - 500,000 USD from investors + 5625 BTC in donations (via BTS AGS) - 49,051 BTC market cap Lisk - around 5000 BTC from presale. 7 days to go!Factom - 2287 BTC from presale - 52,625 BTC IOTA - 1337 from crowdsale - 30,000 BTC marketcap

Interesting announcement! How do you specify "big holders"? I mean what is the minimal amount of IOTATokens to be considered as big holder? Potential opportunityI am in the preliminary stages of negotiating a potentially big opportunity for IOTA. Now before crazy speculators start trying to exploit this for their own gain: this is still VERY MUCH in the realm of the hypothetics and absolutely NOT going to happen unless the big holders of IOTA actively engage in this to make it happen. So no one should see this as exciting until this happens. For now it's just a potential opportunityI encourage the big holders of IOTA to contact me either via contact@iotatoken.com, Ryver or PM over at http://forum.iotatoken.com to discuss further. The reason I won't leak any further info is simple: I don't want speculators to abuse this (currently) non-info to boost IOTA. If I see any retweets about this it will be the last time I ever make a public call. At this moment I set the cap at 1 million IOTA, because we'll need these people to be open to this for it to ever happen. If it goes forward we might call in more community members to help this happen, for now it's still very much preliminary stages. I just wanna to clarify the obvious calculations: Suppose you're holding 100 iotas which cost 1 USD each, then 100 USD. Then if you donate 5 iotas, you have 95 iotas. But, if price rice 50% to 1.5 USD, you have 95 x 1.5 = 142.5 USD. This means 5 $ investment brings 42,5 USD profit, thus ROI = (Gains – Cost)/Cost (42,5 - 5)/5 = 750% ROI
750% ROIThink about it.

I have no idea why people are selling at all, let alone a such small prices
I was dreaming for years to be in situation like early bitcoin adopters who still hold bitcoins bought at 0.10 $. And I guess someone want to be in situation like those early adopters who sold 10 000 BTC when it hit 1 $. Well, 10 000 backs is cool in 2011. But today it is 4 000 000 USD. I guess it will be funny to re-read this thread in few years. Mark my words.

Ok, but isnt IOTA copyable like every other opensource-project?
Yes, IOTA is open source. It can be cloned same as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Not so obvious here. Remember about special hardware support.

Hi, I represent a group of people who would to buy iotas at the rate of 15 btc for 1M iotas, up to 75 btc=5M iotas. We would like to use escrow where the seller deposits the amount he is asking for. For exaple if we buy 2M iotas for 30 btc, we and the seller will deposit 30 btc each - if the iotas are transfered as agreed, seller gets the 60 btc, if not, we get all the btc as a compensation for canceling the trade + seller risks his reputation. Please PM or post here your offers.
_mr_e sells at 0.00002500, which is 25 BTC per 1 mil. Rando offer 0.00001500, which is 15 BTC per 1 mil. I doubt Mr. Rando will find such a crazy dumper, but who really knows May be someone will sell his iotas cause he believe that Ethereum will make another 5x or 10x run, thus, rice to 5 or 10 billion marketcap

Please discuss my proposal I'm going into an observer mode since I'm very busy with my own full time job for a few days, even works on weekend.

Does not change my point however this exactly is the reason you should release something that allows sending coins even if it is just a command line wallet like decred.
There was something that allows to transfer iotas. I saw it on Ryver, probably. In this case yassin54 will need to post instructions in sale thread at some point. The scammers will find excuses to delay the transfer 1 day more to see the prices on exchanges. Well, yes, there always would be scammers. I'm just looking for the ways to reduce the amount of temptation.

Yeap. But buyers will be pissed off.
Anyway the current deals are profitable to sellers only. They are in the position of a gambler who can cancel the bet if he loses. That's why I proposed a little time gap between wallet release and adding IOTA to exchanges. Sellers will send coins to OTC buyers, only then to put IOTA on exchange. But thats only my proposals, I see a possible problem and offering a possible solution. Community to decide.

We will need a little time, may be 1 week after beta and before putting iota on exchange so everyone who bought iotas on OTC will receive it into their wallets and we will not end up in situation in which iota will hit 100 mil marketcap and sellers will reject to send coins to buyers in order to sell it at much higher price at exchange.
Nothing prevents those who arranged a deal to refuse to sell if price on exchanges will be higher. Escrow agents will just return BTC. Yeap. But buyers will be pissed off.

Is there an ETA for the launch?
Launch of what? 1.0.0 version? The version with which people can send and receive iotas without fear of rallback.

Few altcoins will overpass Bitcoin in the long term. No intelligent person in the world believes that there will be no more interesting SOFTWARE in the future.

It's getting pretty hard for anyone to make the case that Ethereum isn't a giant bubble. What makes this coin worth a billion dollars?
I hope nobody here believes that cause the bitcoin was first it will be always the first New tech and new markets are coming
