I tried to add DNS servers from other provider that have TCP port open, but messed it up (and our domain ad.a-ads.com was partially unavailable during 25th of May). So I reverted the settings back. Perhaps we'll need to set up our own name servers to solve the issue.

No, we don't. But some Microsoft users are somehow affected. Perhaps their internet provider uses Microsoft software.

The health of your ad unit 23562 is dropping because there is no ad unit code on your site. Health doesn't directly affect your income, but it can affect indirectly: ad units with low health are treated as anonymous traffic sources, advertisers can disallow such ad units for their campaigns.

Our bot doesn't check captchas or inner pages. It just checks that the ad is available right away on the URL you specified for your ad unit.

Thanks for your question. Health is an estimated probability of Ad Unit code to be present on the specified URL. Our bot visits the URL time to time, checks whether the code is there and updates the value. If you remove ad unit from your site (or if it is not available for some other reasons) the health will gradually drop to 0.

Thanks for your message. Yes, we use round-robin technique, and it seems to be working just fine. But recently we received a letter from Microsoft (!?) that some users might be affected by DNS issue due to the blocked TCP port on our DNS servers. We'll need to find a solution for that.



There are no fixed rates since we are not pay-per-impression network. CPM is just an average indicator, not a fixed rate. It depends on advertisers' behavior and differs a lot from ad unit to ad unit, from category to category too.


You can't, sorry. Categories are assigned manually by us, it may take a while, especially for sites with low PageRank. Trash sites may remain in the Unknown category forever.

If you have a quality site, please let me know your ad unit id to make it quicker. Low quality sites can be moved back to the Unknown category anytime if they generate fake traffic or are banned by many advertisers.

Not sure I fully understand what you mean. We categorize sites by quality, not by traffic. We do so in order to enable advertisers to select sites of particular category.


Since we classify ad units manually, it may take quite a bit of time. Sites with higher pagerank have a priority. Also if you have a decent site and send me a message, we'll do it faster as well.

If we feel that most traffic from the site is not real we may put it back to the "Unknown" category. Same may happen if the site is of poor quality or advertisers ban it too often.

You can use search (see the search box on the top-right corner of the site) to find your ad unit by ID or by URL. Also each ad unit's stats are available at url of the form https://a-ads.com/ad_units/<ad unit id>/stats (just replace <ad unit id> with the ID of your ad unit).

When you buy traffic, you can't say anything about its quality. That is why we don't pay for traffic. Advertisers pay any amount to publishers they like and get a share of their traffic (not the absolute amount of clicks/impressions; absolute numbers don't matter).

In Anonymous Ads unique impression is a globally unique one, i.e. it is unique in the scope of the whole advertising network. Google Analytics counts unique impressions in the scope of your ad unit probably.

If most of your traffic comes from the site that has a-ads banner on it, it won't be counted as unique. Also if you have several ad units on the same page, only one of them will receive a unique impression when user opens you page.

It shouldn't be a problem since all publishers are in equal position and we are not pay-per-click or pay-per-impression network.

I think the market should balance it. So either there is a temporary market inefficiency, or advertisers just don't want to pay more for the traffic they receive (perhaps due to its poor quality).

Initially we hoped that advertisers would track goals and reward efficient publishers thus increasing quality of traffic they receive. We hoped it would inspire publishers to accurately specify categories for their ad units.

But for some reason it didn't work this way. Most advertisers didn't use our goal tracking mechanism to reward publishers for sales. Hence publishers didn't have enough incentive to maximize sales by accurately specifying the categories. Instead some of them intentionally selected unrelated categories with maximum CPM and generated lots of fake traffic. This caused poor traffic quality, low CPM, unusable catalog and lower income for legit traffic sources.

We have already took some measures to overcome this situation and are continuing to work on it.

We don't allow publishers to specify categories anymore. We classify ad units ourselves gradually reorganizing the catalog. Also we enabled advertisers add or ban ad units and specify the reason of doing so. We plan to use this information to better classify ad units.

By default ad units appear in the "Unknown" category that has CPM orders of magnitude lower than in other categories. That could be the reason why some publishers might be unsatisfied with their earnings. If you have a legit site with quality traffic that is classified as "Unknown" - please let me know and I will fix it.

I agree that your ad unit deserves to earn more since it attracted a paying advertiser and I believe it will earn more when it attracts new advertisers or gets more globally unique visitors. I do not agree however that this ad unit should be added to Digital world > Advertising category since your site is not focused on advertising, it is focused on earning bitcoins, that fits Bitcoin > Faucets category.

Moreover if I add your ad unit to Digital world > Advertising category you are not likely to earn much more since nobody is advertising exclusively in that category. Most advertisers pay either to all categories, or to Bitcoin category. Average CPM for Digital world > Advertising category is 0.00095499 Ƀ whereas average CPM for Bitcoin > Faucets is 0.00287195 Ƀ. So you are already in one of the the most demanded categories.

If you look at your charts carefully, you may notice, that your site generated from 53K to 367K impressions daily during last month, but only 67 to 190 of them were from globally unique IPs. You may also notice that the main source of your income was the advertiser attracted by your ad unit. Fees collected from campaigns #2193, #2169 and #2096 gave you more income than all you traffic. If that advertiser continues his/her advertising campaigns or if your ad unit attracts more paying advertisers, you may see a sudden increase in your income again. Your income is not limited by your traffic and it doesn't depend on amount of times your visitors click "refresh" in their browser because we are not pay-per-impression or pay-per-click advertising network.

Oh, wow, one of your visitors became a paying advertiser of Anonymous Ads. That is why you earned 0.017 BTC daily (see your rewards here and red line on the earnings graph here). Unfortunately that advertiser is not active anymore. Hopefully s/he will come back and if s/he uses same ad (or same browser with our cookie) then you will earn more since we share half of our fees with publishers that attract advertisers.

Please note that your increased past earnings are not related to categories of your ad unit. Our site-wide CPM is quite low, but efficient publishers should earn more (as well as publishers from the demanded categories).

Btw, I feel that categories for your ad units are selected more-or-less correctly. It is debatable if they should belong to the advertising category. But they shouldn't be in bitcoin/other since we have bitcoin/faucets category dedicated to this particular kind of sites.

Bitcoin/faucets seems to be undervalued in comparison with bitcoin/other because it is a new category. We are working to enable advertisers to change targeting of their existing campaigns, it should diminish the difference between new and old categories.
