In my view, regulation will be good for Crypto industry. As we can now see that many Govt are looking for ways to regulate the industry.
Regulation will be a good thing in the long run. It will build trust for the industry among the masses thereby resulting in mass adoption. With regulation, people will feel more comfortable and have a sense of security to invest in crypto.
I don't believe that regulation means we have to declare our portfolio. Just as nobody cares to know exactly how much you own in the bank.
Regulation will also help in curbing the possibility of using crypto to launder money and place a check and balance in ICO which will make it very difficult for scam ICOs to operate.
I say regulation will in the end be a good thing for crypto..
What's your view about it?
Yes regulation is always a welcome idea.. unfortunately sec isn't doing well enough to protect investors from fraudulent icos... we need more regulation in the crypto space

What i know, KYC means Know Your Customer ! Bounty hunters are there to Support ICO Project to spread the word about the project .. BUT as soon as the Project manager mention KYC then many Hunter run away ! Why? Is it because people don't want review their identity for security reason or people are joining campaign with bot software ..
Most are of course joining campaigns with bot account... and also the reward given are sometimes not worth giving my personal details for

Can you help me choose projects? Last year I met 15 scam projects. very depressed.
Are you referring to already listed altcoins or projects still in the stage of crowd funding... could you be more specific on this??

These are all good alternative coins but Right now considering the bear market ... ripple is the most reasonable to invest in

I'm here today to drop my own point about how KYC should be use - KYC requirement for bounties and airdrops is so unreasonable ,KYC implementation is no doubt a good idea but it should be forced only on big investors that wants to buy large amount of a token either From Exchanges - there should be limit for KYC requirements e.g like if an investor wants to buy 10,000$ worths of tokens upward then he or she must go through KYC ,just saying
No kyc for airdrop and bounties is very much reasonable.. it help protects investors and it helps limit the numbers of cheaters... trying to get more than they should

I want to dedicate my life to cryptocurrency from now till five years time and see what I can learn and make from it in all way ,is it a good path to follow? Is it wise to leave my crap job behind and be fully into cryptocurrency? Anyone on here that already did the same? How is the experience??
Dedicating your life to crypto is like saying you'll be leaving your job to be a casino gambler... you may regret this decison... crypto isn't yet acceptable and stable enough for you to take such rash decison... think again

I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents. Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.
Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.
It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.
If as a community we do not say no to this, then it would become the norm.
Then simply don't do the airdrop.. there's no reason to cry about it.. who gives away his or her personal details for pennies anyway?

Lol... the purpose of bitcointalk thread is bitcoin specifically and other alternative coins... not for bounty hunting or any form of promotion... you hunt at your own risk

Down for 48 hours.
Poof!
Why don't they sell the exchange to interested buyers instead of packing up. I never really used cryptopia that much but I knew it was a resting place for most shit tokens

You're not cursed it's normal... sometimes your call to hold or sell is just wrong timing that's all that happens to everyone in the crypto space... that's the reason you have to look at the buy wall if its going to dump or pump

Look, you are currently promoting some ICO and you are fighting against ICOs? This doesn't make any sense!
The topic here is fighting against ico scam.. not fighting against ico's...

Ingot Coin is the first ICO that came to my mind. They announced that they were able to reach the soft cap and then announced at a later date that they never did. It was all for PR to attract investors. I believe they ran a more than 20 week bounty campaign.
Yes ingotcoin was a disaster for me as well... what a rip off

There are some better cryptocurrenxy than Bitcoin. Thenbehy bitcoin is still on the top. Even ETH is better than btc. ETH brought the first smart contract and it's still mostly being used in ICO investment as like people still using bitcoin more than any other coin. But hey, it will definitely change by the span of time.
Yeah I think you're correct here... time will tell... it seems stellar is still young compared to ethereum... even though I know not the date stellar was created

90% of all altcoin have just an idea... and I wouldn't waste my time reading their whitepaper no talk of buying the shit with my hard earned cash... to me the only real coins out there are the top 30 on cmc

2018 WAS A TERRIBLE YEAR BOTH FOR HUNTERS AND INVESTORS TOO MANY SCAMS AND FRAUDULENT TACTICS USED BY CHILDREN CLAIMING TO HAVE SOME IDEA WHICH THEY NEED A FUND RAISER FOR...
As a bounty hunter.. the worse thing that can ever happen to you in the crypto space.. is promoting a scam ico unknowing to you it's a fraudulent company
I AM CREATING THIS THREAD TO HELP SPREED THE AWARENESS OF FRAUDULENT PROJECTS WASTING OUR PRECIOUS TIME AND STEALING THE HARD EARNED MONEY OF INVESTORS..
PLS KINDLY PUT DOWN THE NAME OF ANY COMPANY YOU THINK ITS SCAM AND NOT WORTH INVESTING ON AND GIVE REASON WHY IT SHOULDN'T BE TRUSTED ..
THIS WILL HELP BRING BACK THE TRUST WE ONCE HAD IN THE CRYPTO SPACE AND MAY ALSO GIVE LEGIT ICOS THE CHANCE TO RAISE ENOUGH MONEY AND KICK START THEIR PRODUCT

Why are ico's not adopting the stellar blockchain
What's so great about ethereum.. that one can't find on stellar??
