401  Economy / Speculation / Re: What occurs BTC falling down again? on: November 14, 2018, 06:45:40 PM
The drop in bitcoin price is expected as it has stayed above 6000$ for a long while. Hopefully we should expect some little upward trend after this.
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there difference between bank and cryptocurrency exchange on: November 14, 2018, 06:18:06 AM
Aside the fact that bank is physical while exchanges is digital, I will tender the following:

1. Bank transaction charges are high compared to exchanges
2. Bank got lots of bureaucracy while exchanges don't.
3. Transaction of large she needs approval via the bank while exchanges is automated

404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: does bitcoin look scary / deadly for the future ...? on: November 11, 2018, 01:46:28 PM
The future of Bitcoin is very great. I see nothing scary or dead about Bitcoin. Aside those spreading negative comments and news about Bitcoin, there's nothing else holding Bitcoin down. Awareness is massive now and more people are very interested in it. Thus the future is bright for Bitcoin.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need bitcoin control? on: November 11, 2018, 12:37:12 PM
In the foreseeable future, each developed country will create its own crypto currency, provided by the national currency.

How much can this contradict the very idea of Bitcoin as a free, decentralized system?

Need cryptocurrency state control?

This will only lead to another centalised system controlled by a few individuals. I don't see it happening anyways for as long as there are Decentralised systems in place, which many will prefer than the later.
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when bitcoin becomes stable? on: November 11, 2018, 12:11:21 PM
The price of bitcoin has not shown any significant rise or drop for almost two months now. What do you think could be the cause. Or do you think at long last bitcoin is going to be stable.

The volatility of Bitcoin is what give investors good inclination to buy as well as trade with Bitcoin. Over couple of months, Bitcoin price has relatively been stable. But when/if it attains perfect stability, I fear most investors will move from Bitcoin to altcoins.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the currency of our future? on: November 11, 2018, 11:50:35 AM
Hey,

I have been investing in some btc recently and i have seen that in my country i can pay for example in a pizza restaurant (when i order online) with online coins.
Do you think that btc will become the future currency of our world?

If in relation to the digital world as means of making payment online then I may agree with you but with regard to daily expenses, it's a big NO. No matter what maybe, fiat will always remain the number one currency globally.

I am not so surprised about this though. Afterall Celebrities are humans too and they can get on board with the trending business like every other person. My joy is that more people get beleiving in Bitcoin and what it has to offer the world.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges not helping Bitcoin! on: November 07, 2018, 06:47:03 PM
With all of these new exchanges popping up here there and everywhere, i am seeing a very common theme and it's one i don't like AT ALL and i feel it gives bitcoin/crypto a bad reputation in general.

What am i talking about? Trading competitions! Where you can win XXX amount of whatever crypto for being the most active or hitting a certain limit. Don't get me wrong, i'm sure there are a few people out there who will do alright from these deals, but i imagine the vast majority end up losing in the short term or the long run.

For me, its targeting the wrong audience. It does absolutely nothing toward our hallowed "mass adoption" hopes, and its encouraging gambling all so that the said exchange can make a profit in fees!

Yet we wonder why the SEC are so reluctant to give crypto its blessing!  Roll Eyes

Whats your thoughts?

Each and every new business need some form of advertisement to show case the business to the world, thus it's exactly what the owners of new exchanges are into. They offer such contests and free give aways in order to drive traffic to their exchanges.

As good as it sounds, the sustainability of the investment or project is very keen and need to be properly understood before getting on board.

Aside, it confirms that the global world is watching and getting more confident in Bitcoin and the blockchain technology.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you hear about Bitcoin (From Ponzi to Cryptocurrency) on: November 07, 2018, 03:59:04 PM
How I heard about bitcoin started early 2015 when I was searching for means in which I will use to earn some money to help support my schooling because I'm an undergraduate. So I was introdue into an online business by a friend called MMM (As of then I never knew it was ponzi) the way it was presented (mouth watery bonuses) made me to engage in it fully and started marketing it. I became successful at it made some cool cash too.

When it became famous in my country I decided to explore all its benefits then I saw an advert of BItcoin I picked interest because it was offering 50% ROI monthly while my local currency was 30%ROI. So then my journey began in the Cryptocurrency world.  I became fully a Cryptopreneur January 2016 after my wanna be cryptocoin called TBC (thebillioncoin) failed me. I have made some few mistakes afterwards but I can proudly say, me picking interest in Bitcoin (cryptocurrency) from a Ponzi biz,  is one of the most smartest move I have ever made in my life.

How did you hear about bitcoin?

I heard about Bitcoin in 2015 but none of the terms or explaination made sense to me at all even after personal studies. Not until 2017 when I joined a matrix programme that paid in Bitcoin, through it I was unable to get the basics then self studies was more understandable.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will usage of bitcoin reduce the value of native currencies? on: November 07, 2018, 03:09:01 PM
Will the value of native currency fall down if the usage of bitcoin increases?do people feel that they don't need fiat anymore for the transactions to happen? Is that why people are trying to let down bitcoin ? Many questions are just wandering in my mind at the moment. Can anyone answer atleast few of them?

Increase or decrease in bitcoin value got nothing to do with what happened to fiat. Fiat is printed by the government of the country and managed by the Central Bank thus explaining the centralisation of it.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news on: November 07, 2018, 12:39:09 PM
we are really too often inspired by the fake news about Bitcoin, and we mean to readily believe in all this nonsense. I agreed with the author that we should be able to analyze information rationally

Quite unfortunate that's what most people want to read. Rather than seeking facts they rely on rumours and that often led to.wrong decision making during trading.
414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Bitcoin ETF Decision - Yea or Nay? on: November 05, 2018, 10:12:24 PM
This was supposed to be the #1 catalyst of upward trajectory in an otherwise poopy year for the price of BTC. As we all know (or may not know), all 9 Bitcoin ETF applications were rejected by the SEC thus far, and after a delayed re-evaluation on the matter they pushed back their final decision announcement until today, November 5th.

https://www.coindesk.com/vaneck-and-solidx-unfazed-by-the-secs-latest-bitcoin-etf-delay/

https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/sec-bitcoin-etf-approval-decision-for-9-different-exchange-trade-funds-to-happen-next-few-days/

So let's do some speculating on the outcome before hand as there are only but a few hours to go.

I've decided not to be perturbed with the whole SEC and ETF situation because it's still gonna be dragged for bit while. It's high time investors understand that this situation will keep dragging for a long time to come.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency ATM installed in Zimbabwe on: November 04, 2018, 09:29:39 PM
https://www.iol.co.za/business-report/international/cryptocurrency-atm-installed-in-zimbabwe-14459889
INTERNATIONAL - Cryptocurrency exchange platform Golix has decided to  install a Bitcoin and Litecoin ATM in Harare.

Zimbabwe has a growing interest for cryptocurrencies as well as other countries in the region.

Zimbabwe is a country that was not able to deal with its own currency. The inflation rates reached 79.6 billion percent in 2009, the highest in the world. The 2-way ATM was activated in the first week of April in order to attend the growing demand for these virtual currencies.

Different countries in Africa have decided to deploy crypto-ATMs in their states.

At the moment, only Zimbabwe and Djibouti have functioning crypto cash machines. Zimbabwe had to switch to US dollars due to the fact that its currency suffered from severe inflationary problems. Bitcoin and Litecoin could help Zimbabwe to face the current problems the economy has by providing a trustful means of exchange to the population. The situation is not better years after the inflationary peak.

Gradually the global world is embracing the technology now though they were skeptical about it few years ago. Slow and steady, Bitcoin is changing the world and reaching every heart.
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think only the rich can make profit from Bitcoin? on: November 04, 2018, 02:53:44 PM
A few people thought that Bitcoin investment is intended for just the rich to make the additional reach. That isn't true. Bitcoin can be utilized by either the rich or poor to make benefit. It requires smartness, patience, and less greediness both make a good profit from Bitcoin.

I belong to that school of thought as well. Bitcoin is over 6000$ and for me to make something good investing in Bitcoin definitely good capital in place else investment of 100-400$ is just mere waste of time.
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: between terrorists, banks and crypto on: November 04, 2018, 10:17:57 AM
We heard that crypto is often used for terrorist funding, but according to IOCTA in 2018, such an assumption is wrong.

Today, the popularity of Bitcoin is getting better, but the relationship with terrorist funding, they prefer the classic method of transferring through banks.

so, terrorist groups that use bitcoin are only low level transactions.

Your assertion is very correct as terrorist prefer hard earn cash than digital currencies. The rumour was just develop bad use in the minds of investors about Bitcoin but we know better now.

Blockchain or Banks: Which has a Better Security for Financial Transactions?

By now, it’s highly likely that most of us understand how Blockchain technology has dramatically changed and how the world operates considerably. The Blockchain system is an openly distributed digital ledger technology behind the cryptocurrency industry. According to Alex Tapscott, the co-author of the Blockchain Revolution, the Blockchain technology is changing the concept of banking […]The post Blockchain or Banks: Which has a Better Security for Financial Transactions?

It all depends on the angle you are looking at it from. Irespective I will always choose Bitcoin over banks because:

1. It's highly secured
2. It's efficient
3. The charges are extremely low
4. The transaction is instantaneous
5. User's have 100% control if their assets
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 0x is holding up in the crushing bear market compared to other tokens on: November 03, 2018, 11:37:30 PM
It is very interesting that it has managed to hold the value while other ERC20 tokens have plummeted in value. I bought the first time soon after the ICO and at the beginning I was worried because it had fallen a lot. But after that, it never dropped below 100 million in marketcap. In addition, good news always comes.

It's a risky project, though. It is difficult to understand the utility of the token, although the idea is very revolutionary.

I believe with time, it shall surely prove itself since it could still stand firm even in this bearish season. I must commend the team behind the project though, nice work they must be doing somewhere.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin save the music industry? on: November 03, 2018, 03:26:43 PM
I was wondering if it would be possible to store music on the blockchain the same way the ledger is stored? Then you could sell private keys that give a program access to the data so that the music can be streamed directly from the blockchain? Is this kind of thing possible with bitcoin or another alt-coin in the future? Because this would have positive impact on the music industry as well as any other industry that are having issues with piracy. I'm just trying to stay informed about the potential impact of this technology.

Yes I feel it can be applied in the music industry. Licensing, Contracts and Deals can be store on the blockchain as we as Smart Contracts to be released when some certain criteria are met (based on terrms and conditions).
