401  Local / India / Re: Apple removes Binance, OKX and Kucoin from App Store in India. on: January 10, 2024, 03:29:46 PM
I am still able to access my Binance app on my mobile phone and can see it on Google Store. I read the article and they are saying they have not been able to get an answer as to why these apps were removed. Let's wait and watch and not come to any conclusion as money control does have a bad reputation when it comes to crypto.

I haven't done my research about it yet but I can possibly give an answer based on the previous instances happened.

If the apps removed from the app store then it's probably because Indian government asked the Apple and told them to take down the apps for whatever reason it can be and remember when India banned Chinese apps few years back?

The app will still work and probably for even months, so we don't have to worry about moving funds if there is any in Binance because the exchange will send notice if there is an actual ban and users will be requested to withdraw the balance followed by deadline.

Maybe in a day or two it won't be available on PlayStore too.

@Parvati_j your post looks very agreeable unless it in not generated usin an AI. I also felt that you should use more paragraphs or seperation to reduce wall of words. The next thing you should focus on adding a few relevant images to support your writing.

Yes, I don't really see people care to read when the posts are too long, especially like wall of text like what we see in OP. Posts should be brief and it should be in better format to keep the people engage and also easier for us to read too.

Here is a guide for that [GUIDE] A good post/reply and formatting which might give an idea about better formatting the long posts.

If you are using and hover over on hyperlinked text then you will see the redirecting link's URL on bottom left corner of the Browser window.

I knew about this, but I forgot, so thanks for reminding it.

India VS Afghanistan 3 match T20 series will start from the 11th of this month. There is a lot of speculation on who will be captaining the team. Rohit Sharma's name is on the top and it is because SKY is injured and Hardik is also not fit. If Rohit Sharma becomes the captain then he will want Virat to be part of the team. Whereas selectors are not happy with the way Virat plays in T20 cricket as he is slow. He is suited for ODI and test cricket as per my understanding. What do you guys think will happen? Will Virat Kohli be part of the T20 team that is captained by Rohit Sharma?
Here is the 16 men squad for 3 T20I.

Virat Kohli is someone who can't be ignored and if you remove him from the squad there won't be any solid player to trust. Even though he is not much of a six hitter, he becomes part of the top 5 run scorers in every IPL season and don't forget he got the Man of the series in WC which shows his current form too so definitely he will be part of t20 WC and I feel Rohit is going to be the captain for team India one last time in this WC.

Not sure about Rahane but i believe Pujara's services are much needed in Australia. He's kryptonite to Aussies on their home turf.

Yeah, he is. But so far how Pujara reacted for not selecting in SA series it clearly means something is going on behind the scenes and they will just blame his last two-year poor performance as a reason to not select him. It's not particularly about Pujara alone but forming a whole set of batting unit for the test matches and India is capable of doing that than any other team but still they want to go with IPL stars with all kind of format in the international arena.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 07, 2024, 03:11:24 PM

In English conditions our chances against any SENA country in a one-off test (finals) are slim. So yeah,  another choke might be on the cards. Not because we are weak but teams need some match practice to get used to the conditions. For SENA it's familiar conditions so it suits them more. The situation would be exactly the opposite if WTC finals are scheduled in the Subcontinent.

With the current Indian team, I doubt they could even secure a spot in the final but if the matches are played in home then its known that India can walk over the opponents and the opponents too blame that pitch is under prepared, for other tours the players are still very new and only very few played more than 10 matches in the current squad. If Indian team management don't want the Pujara and Rahane any more, then I doubt Indian batting lineup have experience to withstand seaming and bouncing conditions.
407  Local / India / Re: ₹ Erupee transactions hit 1 million per day on: January 07, 2024, 01:58:37 PM

The SBI app getting downloaded by 500+ users is very suspicious to me. They have one of the worst UI in apps, have you tried using the YONO app? Nothing works on that app as they claim.

YONO is pretty bad and I used them too because SBI as my first bank account like most of the Indian residents and 6/10 times the payments will be failed due to server error and for a government bank with such large userbase not given proper resource like HDFC or ICICI do.

But for the record it is the official erupee wallet app from SBI. Cheesy

T20 is great and we see more people are watching it but look at what it is doing, to the traditional cricket form which is test cricket and we witnessed the shortest test match recently between IND vs SA and the last record was in 19th century.
I don't know why so many are bummed about that particular test being the shortest test ever since I enjoyed it a lot. Tests as the name implies are tests for both teams in all areas which is why they can end in 1 day or not end even after 5 days.

Exactly, all these leagues are more money than the actual sport which uses the fanactics drive their business and try to reach new heights.
All of that doesn't really matter as long as we are getting entertained at the end of the day which is the whole point of these sports events.

I would love to be the game as it is supposed to be as much as I am getting entertained, and not just this particular test and everyone who is fan of cricket will agree that white ball cricket especially T20 is destroying the OG formats and if it goes like this on and on for a while then we may see 5 year over leagues too because we already have T10.
409  Local / India / Re: ₹ Erupee transactions hit 1 million per day on: January 06, 2024, 02:44:40 PM

No, it's actually the count of transactions that have hit 1 million per day as per the article I have posted in OP.

Quote
Indian banks disbursed some employee benefits through digital rupee in December, helping the Reserve Bank of India meet its target of one million daily transactions by end-2023, three sources directly familiar with the development said.
If that is what they are saying then I don't believe in it, because it is impossible that they reached 1 million transactions mark per day when there is very few vendors that accept it as payment for the entire district so probably as I said they are doing all the transactions for themselves to increase the count but can they make such high numbers even if they do send back and forth for themselves.
410  Local / India / Re: ₹ Erupee transactions hit 1 million per day on: January 06, 2024, 12:22:27 PM
As per latest data there are around 1 million transactions happening on the CBDC ledger.

Let me correct you, its not 1 million transactions per day, it's 1 million in volume per day which means 10 lakh rupees for a day and that won't even be a considerable amount to be honest and even those 1 million is achieved simply because banks tried moving funds back and forth which created volume and so they can claim there is spike in the volume.

So fascinating to see how much Indian board is dominating but it doesn't look good for the future of cricket right?
Wrong. The Indian board is dominating because their country has the highest population in the world and many of them watch cricket on a regular basis which is why they deserve the high percentile share.
Maybe I can answer this better because I am from India, where cricket is considered as religion, and it has always been the case and the high population too, but I remember the 1983 world cup winning team doesn't even have money for their allowances and the things were changed due to the introduction of T20 which later applied well by BCCI in 2008.

T20 is great and we see more people are watching it but look at what it is doing, to the traditional cricket form which is test cricket and we witnessed the shortest test match recently between IND vs SA and the last record was in 19th century.

Franchise sports are more of a business than sport so if it starts to take over the international games then we may not see the cricket to be seen as a real sport.
Wrong again. Firstly, which major sport isn't a business? Secondly, franchise leagues helped cricket as a sport immensely recently. Leagues like the IPL rank among top NBA, NFL, FIFA leagues these days.

Exactly, all these leagues are more money than the actual sport which uses the fanactics drive their business and try to reach new heights.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2024, 07:09:00 PM
For a small country like South Africa, giving so much priority for the local T20 league will prove to be counter-productive. Cricket is not even the most popular sport there and therefore obviously they are banking on Indian audience for a majority of the revenue. One good news for South Africa is that their share from the ICC in annual fund allocation is going up. Last year (2023) they received $16 million from the ICC, and this year it is going to jump to $26.24 million. So they are no longer short on funds.

This is expected to be the earnings of respective cricket boards in the 2024-27 cycle.

So fascinating to see how much Indian board is dominating but it doesn't look good for the future of cricket right? Franchise sports are more of a business than sport so if it starts to take over the international games then we may not see the cricket to be seen as a real sport.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2024, 05:27:01 PM

Ideally SA vs IND series should be 4 match series, we might even cross the finishing line if it happens but tough to sustain because of financial reasons. Don't get me wrong SA did earn a big amount from this one month tour, close to $55-$60 Million but the majority of it came from the white ball series. Tests finishing in 2 days are also not helping the long series narrative, it took only 5 days to wrap up 2 test matches, and broadcasters or spectators (if any) paid for 10 days of test cricket.

That's why SA's board downgraded 3 matches into 2 match series and added extra white ball cricket.

SA cricket board isn't rick rich as BCCI so they have to keep on eye on their revenue too if they want to keep their cricket board alive. Cheesy

Recently the team for NZ tour of SA announced which doesn't have any big names in it, and they clearly expressed that players are interested more in playing the SA20 league over the NZ tour which is a sign that test cricket is at the verge or extinct.

Doesn't binance handle the disputes in case there is any ? What happened in this case ? Did binance do anything ?
I always wanted to know what binance does in such cases of disputes.

With the rise of such scammers, it's only becoming more difficult to exchange crytpo to fiat.

Binance couldn't be of any help actually. I had reported that guy but he seems to be fully functional with no effect.

I don't understand why Binance did not help you with this scam. When you contacted their support what did they say about this issue of yours? It is better to avoid Binance P2P for now there are other exchange that are much safer than Binance. Bank account freeze has been going up whenever someone deals with them.
These disputes will be handled and I am sure Binance will freeze the user account with all the balance left if OP contacted them with necessary proofs. But generally if money went on hold won't be shown in our bank statement which we can only get via banking side which may even require police or cyber crime complaint copy.

First test had glimpse of test cricket from SA side but second one was played like odi. If selectors would hire test batter then we would see test cricket. India has lot of players, many aspiring to play for the county, they can hire different ones for each format. Not like BCCI has lose pockets either.

Iyer, Jaiswal should definitely stay away from test cricket.

It seems team management try to get rid of Pujara who is the only test player for the international team and trying to replace him with Iyer and Gill? IPL stars can perform in subcontinent pitches but they need players like Pujara to wear and tear the opposition bowlers in SENA countries then the match will go for the day 4 and 5 or else the test matches will end like these.
416  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: January 05, 2024, 09:22:15 AM
What a game of test cricket we have noticed today, the game got ended in just two days. I felt this was a big mistake by the South African management to create a pitch that is not friendly for batters. I was expecting the match to continue for 5 days, which did not happen. Good comeback by the Indian team they lost quite badly in the first test match, and they won quite convincingly in the second game. Why was Shiraj not given the due amount of overs today? He could have wrapped up the game before tea. Bhumrah got his own 6 wickets and as usual, this guy was consistent. Mukesh Kumar is a good bowler he needs to be selected more for international games by the selectors.

Pitch played a part, but it's not the entire reason why 23 wickets fell in just one day, its happened because of the disciplined bowling attack and which length to bowl for a test match.

And if you watched it closely, then you can observe that batting approach was not up to the mark for test match they're just concentrating on playing the ball, but the beauty is in leaving and defending the ball right?

Siraj might be prone to get injured after the extended spell he bowled on the day 1, so the team don't really want to take the risk when Bumrah was doing the same in the second innings with really good support by Mukesh.

recently I seen quora post which is ranking for a few days now where the poster give link of a telegram channels and many people are joining that channel.
social media platforms doesn't know that this is a scam or what so government needs to take action against this.

I know what kind of scam this is, the scammer will give simple task to individual like rate few restaurants and get 50 rupees for one feedbac and they will actually pay the amount too, like 500 or 1000. After the task will elevate further and they will ask for deposit and they will say the rewards will be released upon completion of all the tasks only and squeeze every penny you have before you realized that you are being robbed. Sad
418  Local / India / Re: How does Indian crypto exchange survive? on: January 04, 2024, 03:59:27 PM
I have often seen that trading volume has been reduced by more than 90% in Indian exchanges after the draconian tax implemented for trading and users have switched to international crypto exchanges but how does Indian exchange still make money or survive? Are they still managing with the profits they earned all these year?

Their revenue might be decreased but still they will be making enough to cover the expenses to run the company and in India it is relatively much cheaper to run a company in US so it can compensate to some level as well.

Exchanges also raising their voices against the tax rate but we all know it is not going to bring anything useful if on the bad side it can backfire for them so they try to act neutral as much as they can. And if you noticed the Indian government is in the process of restricting crypto users from accessing international exchanges including Binance and you can see the thread below this to find out.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 04, 2024, 02:14:07 PM

I don't know why India's captain is not using Mohammed Siraj properly in the second innings. Bumrah has bowled 11 overs and Mukesh kumar has bowled 10 overs, on the other hand Siraj who bowled brilliantly in the first innings has bowled only 6 overs so far in the second innings.

That is called workload management, if a captain wants their player free from injuries then it is his responsibility to give necessary breaks and generally 4 over spells is what a pacer would prefer but yesterday Siraj bowled 10 overs straight which itself made him injury prone so over stressing will end in a severe injury.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 04, 2024, 07:55:01 AM

23 wickets in a single day. This proves what a trash pitch this is. We need to praise Rohit, Subhman and Virat here.

This becomes a topic of debate in the social media since yesterday, but I still think this is a typical test pitch but batsmen who is involved in the whiteball a lot forgot how to play the test innings, the approach should be defending and leaving the ball not try to play every ball and that is why we saw something like that yesterday.
