401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Network Hashrate Table? Better than LiteShack? on: July 17, 2014, 05:01:10 AM
Good idea!
Whats the formula to engineer net hashrate from reward?
Here you go: https://github.com/KBomba/cuda-profit-calc/blob/master/ProfitCalc/Coin.cs#L204
And yes, I'm calling it the magic number. If someone knows how its actually called, please tell Tongue

I'd guess you'd be best off using something like CoinWarz, CoinTweak, WhatToMine, ..., taking the diff and converting it to net hashrate. (or just straight from wallet JSON)
I'm doing something alike in my mining profit calc. I guess that's what LiteShack is doing too as there is no way to see the real net hashrate.

You can actually keep all the coins as they are with CoinKing Wink Do you get to choose the CoinKings account? If so, then you can at least watch it transparently there.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: cryp.today Mining revenue stats Scrypt Scrypt-N X11 X13 pools / hashrate rentals on: July 15, 2014, 11:04:36 PM
Thing of multipool.us (and coinking for that matter) is that they require you to do the trading if you want maximum profit.
Multipool.us solves this by integrating cryptsy's APIs, and if you setup a good auto-sell at cryptsy, you can get a decent return. If not, well, then you might end up with coins that have been pumped for a few minutes but are less profitable when you're back behind the screen.
You can do the same (without API integration) for Coinking, or you could wait 6h (on top of the confirm time) for their auto-exchanger to pass by. After 6h, it's the same effect: profitability dropped a lot. You're stuck again with coins you mined at a peak of price and difficulty, and yet they aren't exchanged at the spot.

So its a matter of taste. You like trading yourself? Go for such kind of pools. If you want to lay back and mine, ignore these.

Also, the results taken by poolpicker are taken from the pool's API. Most of the pools like multipool.us and coinking use more of an estimate on how much you'd get if you would've sold it at the spot.

if your mining with nvidia then you should ALWAYS be using ccminer or cudaminer

Again a notice to the following people

  • Amph
  • Bombadil
  • Cbuchner1
  • tsiv
  • zelante

Message me for your login details to cudamining.cc
So far cayars has his and has been using it, i like the new description for your release by the way Wink
djm34 has his logins but has yet to submit anything
sorry I didn't have time to far...

you lazy.... only joking. Dont worry i'm not expecting you to. And it isn't a rant for anyone wondering, just wanted to get everyone's attention save messaging them directly and forcing the details on you  Roll Eyes

i had to put something in the message to explain why you weren't in the list Smiley
zelante has his details for the profitCalc and ive added the option for the program on the site so he can add that.

Basically anything that can help with mining that is from this community or very helpful will be added now

*cough* bombadil has his... *cough* Cheesy I'm very busy adding new features, and once my code is cleaned up again, I'll do another release-round, probably this weekend.

Seems like Ultracoin became Scrypt-Jane Nf(14). Anyone knows the optimal settings for N14 & 750ti?
Autotune gives me t64x1 @ 1kh, but I seriously think it can do more Cheesy

I get 2.2kh/s for every each 750ti
What's your launch config? Tongue

My gtx 750 tis are  on road how can i configurate them and which coin do u mine
Use Ccminer or Cudaminer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0
And read the README's Tongue

Also, what coin to mine is up to you Wink Mining the most profitable coin isn't an exact science, but you could use my mining calculator (or any other) if you have absolutely no idea. Link: https://github.com/KBomba/cuda-profit-calc/releases
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: July 12, 2014, 10:58:36 AM
Hi guys,

i got some problems:

My GPU is: GTX 770 4GB RAM.
WIN 8.1 64 BIT (GB RAM )
I use the last version of CudaMiner...
If install Cuda Driver 5.5

When i will mine BC i will get every time this failure:

//Config is: cudaminer -H 1 -i 1 -l K16x16 -C 1 -o stratum+tcp://eu-stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -O USER:123

Pause
//

When i will start this config for LC:
//Config is: cudaminer -H 1 -i 1 -l K16x16 -C 1 -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334 -O USER:1234

Pause
//

I have also try to use another BC sender page as example: bitminter.com
I get here the same failure as btcguild.com.

Do you have any Idiar to fix my problems?

Thank youu!

Oh, god, extreme newbie alert Cheesy (j/k)
Look, BTC uses an algorithm called SHA256 for mining. LTC uses an algorithm called Scrypt. Only Scrypt is supported by Cudaminer, so you won't be able to mine SHA256 (BTC) with your cudacard.
SHA256 AND Scrypt has already been overtaken by specialized devices which will do a lot better than your Graphics Card will ever do.

There are already new algorithms, for which its presumed there are no specialized devices yet. Keccak, NIST5, X11/X13/X14/X15, Cryptonight, etc... These are supported by cudaminer or ccminer (both made for nvidia).
Go look it up, educate yourself first. Mining is a lot of fun because of the knowledge and geek-factor involved with it, but don't expect any profit if you don't know what you're doing.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero? on: July 11, 2014, 11:22:12 AM
My laptop is also mining XMR at 40H/s and I'm keeping him there Smiley XMR is a coin with a nice future, and since I have free electricity and the laptop is almost obsolete, I don't care Wink
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WHICH Gtx 750ti,Evga or Gigabyte on: July 11, 2014, 11:20:00 AM
Gigabytes are a bit stronger for the same price. The extra PCIe power connection allows for more headroom for overclocking (if you're into BIOS flashing etc). I have one of both in my small rig, and I must say, I'd buy another Gigabyte if I would invest again Wink

But yes, the EVGA has more resell value since you need no PCIe power connections, so you could sell it to your neighbor who has a crappy onboard VGA and can't stream his full HD movies anymore Tongue

So, they look on par. Just go with the GPU you think is the most beautiful Cheesy Aesthetics are important too.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: July 11, 2014, 11:13:58 AM
Haha, Nvidia foundation ^^" I'm still hoping one day there will be a popular coin called Cudacoin with an algo with a huge Nvidia advantage Cheesy

And yeah, no more 750's for me. I'm saving up to replace my 760 by an 880(ti), for gaming and mining Cheesy I do not care to invest in more than one 880, mining isn't that profitable if you're not continously catching up to the latest coin, but it's a lot of fun!
Similar fun to gridcomputing a la BOINC, but you get paid at least Tongue

Probably no miner at launch for Nvidia ^^" You should ask in the cudaminer thread, there are some new devs there who like bounties Tongue

EDIT: Oh, no premine Tongue That's new *cough* So no bounties he Tongue

This coin has given me 252$ profit so far... I like it !

Day trading?
Wouldn't be from mining this =D
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 750 ti OR GTX 750 on: July 09, 2014, 03:06:32 PM
you can't go wrong with 750ti if you are investing in GPUs but they are not great for gaming so u might have difficulty in reselling them later.
I already have 2 reserved 750ti's once the 880 gets released, one for a HTPC and one for a casual gamer who just plays Age of Empires and Skyrim, 750ti can handle that =D
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 750 ti OR GTX 750 on: July 09, 2014, 11:31:07 AM
which one guys gtx 750 is cheap then 750 ti but performance, hashrate Huh?
I'm unsure if this is true, but IIRC, 750tis are cherrypicked 750s. So you'll get a better GPU overall.
But I think they're on par concerning hashrate/price & electricity usage, but with a 750ti you can stuff more hashrate in one rig Wink

I'd go for the 750ti, more people have experience with it in the cudacommunity.
