401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitland - ICO - Decentralized Land Registry on: June 15, 2016, 04:04:07 PM

So its been about 2 weeks since I first asked about the twitter giveaway tokens, I get you want the market to "stabilize", but yeah this is market manipulation even if you are not trying to... you need to release those tokens sir.

So, when can I expect to see my tokens? I am not planning on selling them, but you have to understand IOU's in crypto land mean jackshit... I would rather put my hopes and prayers behind a "token" of some sort....

Please Respond and provide a firm date when I will see my giveaway tokens , Thanks  Grin Grin Grin

Yes it was absolutely an attempt at preventing NEGATIVE market manipulation.  All actions on the market qualify as "manipulation".  All "manipulation" is not equal or negative.  Whatever you choose to do with your tokens will be manipulation.  Also, you won those tokens for nothing.  It's not an "IOU", it was a gift.

You purchased tokens, and this increased your holdings by 25% Smiley

Now, other people might have received them for free and just dumped them because they put nothing into the ICO.  Now your "prize" is worth $118 based on last market trade.  So again, all manipulation is not equal.

Oh...check your account Smiley

Cheers!

Chris

Received!!! Thank you much Chris!

Best of luck Bitland!! Holding strong!

When can I expect my cadastrals from winning the twitter contest to come through?

I am holding out on sending out PoA tokens until market stabilizes to prevent people from dumping the token.

The unfortunate side effect of the "giveaways" that people want is that it incentivizes dumping the token.  So in the first week of the market release, I am holding the "free" tokens to be released once there is enough by support to not let the token be dumped to oblivion.

Does this make sense?

Chris

Makes sense. Yeah no worries. Just doing some accounting.

The amount of coins used in PoA is very small comparing to the total amount of coins. Therefor those can hardly dumb the coin to oblivion.

At least you should tell when you are planning to send them.

For the non-techies not willing to help troubleshoot zero day issues with software, you might want to just leave your ICO waves alone for now until someone puts together a true and tested tutorial.

** There was a warning released with this lite client, stating that you CAN lose all of your waves if you are fucking this process up**  -- I consider myself savvy enough to test software but im not going to risk losing waves just for the chance to dump early... I plan on holding for a while anyway
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 10, 2016, 05:48:59 PM
installed wallet. , My ICO page only shows 25 waves for the newsletter bounty. no other bounties or the over 8k from the ICO itself.
It shows "connect" for Facebook and Twitter. I have tried connecting them without success.

Please advise. Wink

Had the same issue, it was a popup blocker / adblocker that prevented me from connecting twitter and facebook at first. Disable it and reload, then try again.  Worked like a charm for me

Now that things calmed down here some, lets talk about important stuff.

In the next weeks there are going to be an onslaughter of voting requests.
Delegates and hopeful delegates will come here and ask for your vote.

Here it goes

TL;DR: Vote because it's important. Vote vega for delegate, because he is a great guy.

Why should you vote?
Because doing so helps securing the network and within it your own coins. The more people vote the harder it is for a few big whales can seize control of the active delegates. It is in your best interest to help avoid this eventuality. The more diverse the group running the delegates is the best for everyone.

You should take some time and look at the potential delegate so you can make an informed decision who do you want to secure the network for you.

If you don't want to spend time reading hundreds of delegate statements, and research possible candidates, but want to contribute, take a look at my Windows voting tool (See below) here is the lisk.io thread  for it. It's not only makes voting easier and faster, it can recommend you delegates to vote for.
I'm going to keep an up to date list of delegates that I researched, before recommending them. They all been active in the community or contributed someting to the Lisk experience. You can also find me on this list.

Why should you vote for me?
Because I'm a nice guy! But seriously, you should vote for me, and people like me to secure a truly decentralized network. I'm dedicated to this task, I've been running a delegate on the testnet since day one, been always one of the first to update when a new version come out. I also invested great amount of additional time (and money) into the Lisk community, by creating various Windows based tools to help the delegates and Lisk users.
I created a voting tool to help checking the delegates information and casting votes. You can find it here: Windows voting tool lisk.io thread
It's open source and easy to use. I urge anyone and everyone to look at the code. It's written in Autohotkey, that is a purposefully simple syntax language, you can read it easily enough even if you don't know the language (at least well enough to find any shady stuff). There is a compiled version of it on Github for trusted souls, but it's very easy to run AHK script without compiling.

It looks like this:

My other tools are more aimed for delegates to use. A delegate monitor, that shows up to date statistics for the delegate, and alert to changes.
Delegate Monitor

I'm also working on a more serious Lisk node log monitoring tool, that will help delegates avoid potential problems with their nodes and therefore helps to make the Lisk network more stable and dependable.

You can always find me in Lisk Chat if you have a question or comment.

For more Details please see my delegate statement thread.

Vega for Active Delegate

Vega, Awesome tool! Really looking forward to taking this for a spin.

Already voted for ya 8 )

it takes longer than freaking btc... some innovations you got going on here...

HAHHAAHAA

Transactions from bittrex off to wallet are actually reallly quick. On and off of polo seem to have a large lag time probably because of volume they are experiencing.

I literally had a test withdrawal take 8+ hours yesterday. I was ready to write it off but it showed up....but lesson learned, ALWAYS DO TEST TRANSACTIONS FIRST. I didnt cry over 5 lisk stuck in the interwebz... but if it was my whole stack, that would have been a different story.

Vote for Useastboardwalk for delegate!

Again, from my perspective, the network has been running great aside from one small hiccup this morning that Isabella already fixed. We have seen huge volume on the network and it's still running and pumping out blocks. The ONLY problem people have run into is the main wallets being down or not properly synced. The issue here is that once they are out of sync, it can take a while on a reload to sync back up and if you are seeing huge connection requests, it's just slowing those nodes down.

Multiple solutions and community run nodes have been posted here and as long as you are using an HTTPS node, that means the connection is using SSL and the connection is encrypted prior to sending your nodes information. Does it mean you are 100% safe, probably not, but it is considered by the industry to be standard encryption practices and generally safe.

You can use the network monitor here: http://explorer.lisknode.io/networkMonitor to see active nodes on the network (even if they aren't in the 101 it's OK). You can try accessing port 8000 on those nodes and see if they have SSL enabled, and if they do, they should be safe to login to for limited use while you wait for the official nodes to be repaired and get through whatever is happening.

We also have several trusted community members who have offered up their servers for access, here is a current list of some available wallets copy/pasted from Lisk Chat:

Keep in mind some of these are not at the correct block height or are stalled, so check the blockchain within the wallet to see if it is moving and if it is at the current block height. You can get the current block height from the top section of http://lisknode.io/ . If a node isn't synced up to the current block or is forked, your transactions either won't show, won't go through, will never get to the exchange, etc. The node has to be synced to the correct block height in order to have the transactions work smoothly.

The best explorer to use right now is here: http://lisknode.io/

You can also see additional delegate focused tools here: https://lisktools.io/

Are you a member of the team, how do we know you are genuine and not a scammer? Please can someone confirm

Attesting.. Grexx is a delegate - mainnet confirmed I believe? And the top lisk logins are hosted by the dev team.

Can i send coins via the web wallet?

I just did a test transaction but nothing happens !

Yeah there is a public list of web wallets that the community manager posted, these are hosted by trusted Lisk team members. Just be sure the site is using SSL.

PM me if you have more questions, I might be able to help you out.

First, I am not affiliated with the Lisk team at all. I am just an onlooker that wants to help out anyway I can here.

If anyone is in need of some hand holding to set up a virtual machine on a hosting site so you can withdrawal your Lisks to an exchange, shoot me a PM here and I will attempt to make time for the walk through today.
( You will need to use a linux cmd line, but I promise its not difficult)

That being said, I am only promising success with clean ubuntu machines.

Just a fellow ICO investor that cares about people getting their money freed up.
