401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the future of digital currencies? on: January 09, 2023, 05:31:22 PM
Cryptocurrency technology hasn't even reached 10% of its potential in the global community, and you're already thinking about something new and breakthrough. It's like buying a new phone and dreaming the next day about an even newer phone before you've even tried it. The only breakthrough, in quotes, is CBDC, which wants to completely centralize digital payments and kill cryptocurrencies with their complete substitution. Is that the kind of breakthrough technology you're waiting for? Wink
That's certainly true, mate. Crypto/Blockchain tech is just getting started, so it's going to take quite some time before something new and revolutionary replaces it completely. I still think Quantum Computers will improve the performance and cost-efficiency of existing blockchain networks. But it would be just an improvement to an existing tech. Nothing completely new from scratch that will blow your mind.

The world is struggling to recover from the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russo-Ukraine war, so we can't expect any advancements in technology until the tide is over. Who knows what the future holds for crypto/Blockchain tech? Just my opinion Smiley
I think it will take time but it will happen, and that's the scary thing about crypto, in fact the only thing that I worry about. Bitcoin and crypto could be new, but when the time comes, maybe in 10 years, maybe in 50 years, but when the time comes something will replace it.

If we trust all of our investments into crypto then when that happens and something better comes out, then we are going to end up with a limited amount of chance to survive in the crypto market. Many people will leave this market and go to that new market and that will crash the prices which would be hard. So all in all, it's better to follow the market movements and where people move to.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: January 09, 2023, 03:41:02 PM
DEXs are too complex for an average person to get ahold of, so don't expect CEXs to go anywhere soon. People will just be more careful when depositing their coins in a centralized exchange. I'd expect CEXs to be required to disclose their reserves by law (Proof of Reserves) to gain investors' and traders' confidence. It seems to me that CEXs will be treated more like financial institutions (banks) after what happened with FTX lately. This means tighter regulations that will make both the exchange company and the customer's life impossible. There's nothing we can do about it, especially when we let Wall Street take over the industry for quite some time. Crypto/Blockchain tech will be driven away from its core principles of decentralization because of this.

DEXs will still exist in the future, but the number of people using them will be very small compared to CEXs. They will have a future as long as developers continue to improve them. Long-term speaking, DEXs will be able to live alongside CEXs allowing people to choose which platform to trade based on their needs. No one can predict the future, so we can only hope for the best. Just my thoughts Grin
That type of proof would be very awesome. If they were forced to show it to just auditors that would be enough, they shouldn't be forced to show it to the whole world, but the government people should be given a right to go in and check and tell the world how much they have.

For example, if a company says there are 100 million dollars worth of crypto in them, like users funds, but then have 80 million, then government should know about this and warn them first but then also let the people know as well. Otherwise, CEX's will keep doing what they want to do, it's like a big ponzi scheme in there and they are surviving by people trading and depositing more money.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 08, 2023, 09:40:05 PM
This rumor has also been confirmed by Transfermarkt and it is true that Manchester United want to bring Wout Weghorst to Old Trafford but this is only on loan from Burnley and if the deal goes well Wout Weghorst will wear the Red Devils uniform until the end of the season. This may only be a temporary option for Erik ten Hag due to the lack of a pure striker in his line-up.
Weghorts would be decent enough signing but nothing huge. They already have Rashford who I believe is better than Weghorst, and if they think that they could make a big improvement with him, then United is fooling themselves. I believe that the best thing to do right now would be just keep grinding with the same team until the end of the season, unless they get some big injuries, they should be doing fine.

After the season is over, and they know that the manager is good already, then they should be probably looking to sign players for their weak positions. That should give them a better chance than a loan at the half of the season which doesn't make sense.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help "I had Free Bitcoin 2011 with registration" on: January 08, 2023, 08:52:51 PM
I had 2+ bitcoins that is now gone as well, it's common if you have been here for a long time. I couldn't get back in, no matter what I did, no matter what I tried, I forgot the mail that I used as well so it was like near impossible. In any case, it's fine and I do not care anymore it's really not that important.

It was something that I had once in a while and now gone, that's it. If you want to make money, do not look for the past but look at the future, that would be a better way. Maybe you won't have that much bitcoins, but it's better to have something small than hopes of something with reality of nothing. That would at least give you some solutions this way.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 08, 2023, 08:21:32 PM
This season is quite interesting in terms of the positions except the lead. Lens are fighting with PSG for the league title as the gap has become only four points after PSG's loss against Lens recently. PSG would still dominate the season at some point of course. But for now I'm just enjoying the "title race". Lens have done a good job so far.

I wonder how long Lens can maintain their performance. I don't doubt their ambition but it feels like they can't maintain this until the end of the season. Lille are a good example but Lens might not manage to do a similar work.
It's not really a fight for the top spot if you ask me, it's a temporary closeness and that's it. Lens is not that much better than everyone else, whereas PSG is miles better, they are seriously not even in the same category. Which means that eventually we are going to end up seeing a lot bigger point differences, it's not going to be even close.

All in all it's a reality that PSG is just too good, yeah they had a few weeks when they were tired or they didn't had everyone, but they are now ready and they are going to beat everyone and get that point difference to a higher level. That's just how it is, we have to end up accepting the situation if we want to be fair.
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a National Security, Not a Threat on: January 07, 2023, 09:24:09 PM
Having a lot of bitcoin on the treasury means that you would be protecting your currency and that is not a bad thing, but that is only possible if we are talking about smaller nations. USA is too big, which means they have like 30 trillion dollars in debt or something, and constantly increase the debt ceiling.

I have zero idea how other nations are fine with their debt, like they can't force America to pay the debt back, so USA just makes more and more debt, and don't care if they can't pay it back. But that doesn't mean that they could protect their money via crypto, there is just not enough money there, USA is bigger than crypto a few times over. It must be smaller nations like Argentina who are in financial trouble that should do it.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 07, 2023, 08:49:43 PM
Hornets game was a bit weird. I mean you would expect Bucks to play better, but at the same time I really didn't expected Hornets to play this well neither. They played one of the best defences I have seen in a while, the fast breaks after the turnovers caused so much scoring for them, it was really an insane period.

I would expect Bucks to have some bad days, that's normal and nothing weird with that, but to have Hornets play this well? That's very rare and not going to see that again for a while. So, when you have one of the best teams in the league, playing against one of the worst, and the worse one dominates? That becomes something seriously good.

Having the wof rewards pile up is literally what we talked here for months, and some people like it because if you get like 100+ of them all together then it makes sense to spin them all at the same time and see what you could win, at least it would combine to a great total like that, instead of doing it daily and getting a small amount, you get like weeks and weeks of wheels in a single day, and takes no more than an hour that way neither.

Hence, that should be proof enough that you could actually do something like that, not a bad idea at all and can be done. And yes the daily you are given for free is 48 hours, but after a certain while when you collect so much, you start to ignore that 48 hour expiring one.
I see what you're saying. It's kind of like saving up your allowance to buy that really cool toy you've had your eye on, instead of spending it on smaller things as you get it. That way, you can potentially get a bigger reward all at once.  Cheesy
It's definitely a different approach to enjoying the WOF rewards, and there's no right or wrong way to do it. Everyone has their own preference!
Yeah, I didn't mean that I do it this way and only I do it, I just wanted to explain what people do, and how they approach things and all. I think there are a lot of people who save them up, and combine them to get a bigger return, well the return is actually the same there is no change but they like to see it in one big sitting instead of smaller items.

You could get 50 satoshi per day for 100 days, and it would be 50 satoshi each time you see it, but you could get 5000 satoshi in a single day suddenly and it would feel a lot better, and not get anything for another 99 days, same results, but one makes you feel better if you think about it, that's why people prefer it.
409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price guess, 2023 on: January 06, 2023, 06:18:30 PM
A more realistic viewpoint is around $20k since there's nothing on line for this year's market pump unlike with 2024 wherein the next Bitcoin halving is anticipated. Right now, the market is still stagnant but I'm quite glad that there are tokens being released gaining high rate of increase despite of the bearish trend, such as $Bonk which is for me a good market indicator. But I hope there will be a new trend this year which could save this industry such as with what happened last year with NFTs and P2Es which triggered a huge demand inspite of not having a halving since last time. If ever there will be, things might still change or even positive news could uplift the direction of market prices which we should look forward with, for this year.
I do agree that 20k is not going to be that hard, I think even 30k is possible if you ask me. It's time for us to see some increases and 30k would be fine in the end. I believe that we shouldn't be anything low at all in 2023 and it should be going up, it has been over a year and there are still people who are not entirely sure about the problem here.

I need to explain to the whole world that bitcoin already had a good period a year before, and then had a bad year and now we need to go back to a good year again. 30K is a good start for 2023, and then in 2024 I am expecting it to reach to a very high place, like 60k or 70k once again, and then I am expecting a huge price like a brand new ATH before a cliff in 2025.
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 06, 2023, 01:21:51 PM
I think we need to consider something here because so many comments about how Chelsea played better than Manchester City and how Manchester City did not find it easy in the first half of the game have become more important than the 3 points of Manchester City. The match was played in front of Chelsea fans the motivation alone made them stronger in the first half before the Man City boss Pep Guardiola did his mathematics to change the game in the second half which brought in the goal that was assisted and scored by the two players that were introduced to the game in 60 minutes (Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez) the match winners.

In overall Manchester City were better then Chelsea in ball possession, 47:53, in shots on target 2:3, Chelsea only took control of the game for a few minutes in the first half but could not utilize the little opportunity they had to score goals because City defenders were at alert to stop the poor striking force of Chelsea strikers. Most fans only wanted Chelsea to come out victorious so that the Gunners can have more gap against City which you also talked about but I think City deserved the win so that the title race will still be on for the two teams.
City definitely had hard time, but they still got the three points one way or another. The team we should focus on is not city but Chelsea for that game. They are 10th right now and they are doing amazingly horrible, like levels unheard of before.

I have never seen a team nor ever heard about it before where a team spends 200+ million during a summer, and the same season they are at 10th. Unless they have some changes and finally go on a huge winning streak and finish in at least top 6, which is bare minimum and only acceptable at this point because they already sucked, normally at least a top 4 would be fine, then they should consider this the worst season they ever had in their career. Abramovic wouldn't let this happen.

412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Bear Market Mistakes to Avoid on: January 05, 2023, 09:22:09 PM
There could be so many reason why they sold that early, maybe it was part of their investment plans to sell at that price so we shouldn't be thinking they're at a loss. Maybe if they held a little longer they would had profited more but don't forget that it isn't always a straight ride to that further peaks you talked about, some times they market dip and not many could hold through.

Provided you're in profit it's better you get hold of those than anticipating for future gains that aren't guaranteed. The end goals of the game is to be in profit so don't be greedy in hoping for speculated gains and secure what you have first at hand, you can always rebuy later as the market will dump in the future just as we're experiencing now.
I am in profit right now even at this price for example, and I still do not understand people who sell it when it's low. Like for example today, there are so many people who are selling bitcoin today, if it's for trading I may understand but if it was ONLY for trading then the price wouldn't be low, there would be buyers who would take it higher.

It means even at this price there are some people who are willing to sell, which makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. I hope that people grow out of this selling phase and start buying it again, because this doesn't help anyone, why stick with the market that hurts all people, when we could just go up.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2022/23 Season on: January 05, 2023, 08:58:21 PM
Galatasaray from what I see, will not leave the top of the table and have a better chance of becoming champions, is in a dilemma between selling Sacha Boey and earning € 16 million or keeping € 16 million with the aim of winning the Turkish league and being in the European champions league

Quote
The report claims the Premier League outfit are willing to spend €16m on the French right-back.

The Lions signed the 21-year-old for just €1.15m from Ligue 1 outfit Rennes last summer.

https://turkish-football.com/crystal-palace-prepared-to-offer-e16m-for-galatatasaray-star/

without a doubt that Galatatasaray would make a lot of profit with the sale of this player but the team will have to think if this sale or winning the league which is the most important, because there are also no guarantees that they will win the league, if they just don't sell this player and not win the league? they went out hanging 2 times
If they could make 16 million out of him, then I am guessing that it's not going to be that terrible for the right back situation neither. They have Dubois for that position and he could easily cover the difference for sure and he wouldn't be too bad. They would have both the money and the title at the same time.

I do agree that Boey is a great player and he would definitely be of help to them to win the title but having this much money is a lot more important, you wouldn't get this much money usually for him and when you could, they should take advantage of it. If they believe he could be a team star like Muslera has been and play here another 10 years and be great, then keep him but if not then sell him and get the money.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 05, 2023, 08:08:31 PM
for now the quality of the squad for Barcelona and Real Madrid is very different. In my opinion the Los Blancos squad is superior to the Blaugrana. At the moment they do have the same points, but I'm sure that on the way later Madrid will again be able to take the top spot and at the same time will widen the gap with its nemesis, moreover Karim Benzema and friends will still have a chance during the El Clasico match later. But it is possible that there will be a quicker change at the top of the standings, because at the weekend Real Madrid and Barcelona will face teams that are quite balanced for them.
People are overreacting to Real Madrids success last year, and I understand why that's happening. Last year they had nearly no opposition in La Liga and dominated it, and they played some very good games on UCL and won, specially their comebacks and last minute goals were superb, but they didn't dominated any of their opponents at all.

This year, people are expecting the same thing, it's nearly the same team and they have a good roster. But the difference is that their team is one year older, benzema and modric and kroos are all a bit older, and Barcelona built a whole new team basically, most players being younger. So, it's not as easy this year as it was last year.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 04, 2023, 09:10:42 PM
His comeback meant nothing for sure. Dortmund will be losing more players. Jude bellingham and moukoko will not continue its career in the dortmund. I thought that the position of dortmund will always be the same. Dortmund is much more focusing to selling the players rather than try to win the trophy. I think that dortmund didn't care so much about that as long as it can still develop the new players and dortmund will not be trying so hard to win the trophy.
That's why bayern was always dominating the league since a long time ago. Bayern have so many competitors that have business oriented
Jude Bellingham is €110.00m so it is a massive sum for Dortmund but it is a loss of a great player for them, I haven't seen Karim Adeyemi on the list of rumors that Dortmund would want to sell probably he is still valuable for them to make him stay, but Jude Bellingham has a lot of offer an option for a club that he wants, and rumored clubs that want Jude Bellingham are Liverpool FC, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Real Madrid, this surely up to Bellingham and sometimes if the offer is right then Dortmund might gladly oblige,
I think no matter which player it is, if Dortmund could sell a player for a good price they will, that's their entire existence. Jude would be amazing if they could sell him for 110 million, that would be unrealistic amount for them and could buy so many more young players.

Only problem they have is that they already sold so many good young stars, what will happen after Jude leaves? Like would they still have a few young stars coming up, that would be playing amazingly at Dortmund ne be sold for 70+ million in the future? If they do not have some more coming up from youth setup, then they are going to just be a team that sold some players for a lot of money once, and never had any other success after that.
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 04, 2023, 07:09:52 PM
Xavi and Zidane are both smart but a chance to see a young coach gets great success at early career like Zidane is very low, maybe less than 1%. He won 3 Champions League with Real Madrid and I am sure the achievement is made up of many person and Zidane is only one of them.

Real Madrid had many star players who worked with Ancelotti, Mourinho before Zidane took over a coach position in Bernabeu. They are super star, star players who had good experience in their career already. In contrast, Xavi got many young players in Barcelona and many of them have yet experienced of lifting any trophy.
I believe the only bad result that Xavi got so far is that Frankfurt loss last year, aside from that he has been managing the team greatly.

Another issue Barcelona has as a whole is the financial ignorance, they had such a huge trouble and yet instead of trying to be second and be in UCL every year for 3-4 more years and both get rid of bad salaries and get better salary players for cheaper, and basically fix their issue, they ended up selling their future profits to make a good team this year, which will hurt them even more in the long run. That's not acceptable and it is not going to help them be good at all, they will suck for even longer now because of this.

I've been getting a bit interested lately in observing Brentford. To be honest, so far I have not been interested in the Brentford club. even when Brentford beat Manchester City in November it didn't interest me to watch Brentford either. However, after seeing Brentford's performance in the last match and Brentford have managed to beat Liverpool. I became interested and like this club. so I think Brentford really continues to show positive improvement. and I think Brentford has a chance to move on to a higher rank.
I think having beaten just good teams doesn't mean that they are suddenly showing improvement or they are good. They are 9th now but probably 10th to be fair and that means they are at the midtable type of team situation and that is not really that hard to reach in the premier league if you have a wonderful season as a bottom team.

Most bottom teams try to be great for a year after a few years of being bad, like they gather all the resources and use it on a single year, and hope to make a lot of money and hopefully go to continental cups, being midtable is the bottom of that pile, because it means they will go back to being back benchers again. Wait until next season, they will battle not going down for sure.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 03, 2023, 06:42:03 PM
If you like the defeat suffered by PSG, that is the right for every other team fan or spectator who may place bets for other teams. But I don't think it was a very embarrassing defeat because PSG was beaten at home to Lens with several key players absent from the game. So this is not embarrassing enough for PSG and is still in a very reasonable category because PSG themselves know where the mistake lies.
Yes, this defeat can hardly be called "important" - nothing has changed in the tournament sense and PSG still have a comfortable advantage over all other clubs. But given the fact that this is a defeat from Lance, which is in second place, this is undoubtedly a blow to the pride of PSG, which already believes in its invulnerability. By the way, it is curious that Lance also has only one defeat and fewer goals conceded than PSG. It would be nice if Lance continued to play successfully and keep a semblance of intrigue for as long as possible.
PSG won't even care about this at all. People are making a big deal out of this and they think that they are doing something much bigger than they used to and so fort but I have to say that this is not the best thing right now about PSG, they don't care and no other team in the league could ever fight against them.

Sure it is a bad loss, but they won't care because they can get 90%+ win rate if they really wanted to and focus, they don't care about it enough and they will probably be winners with enough points difference even when not caring about the league and focusing on UCL, so why would they feel upset or humiliated about something they don't care right now.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: January 03, 2023, 11:19:04 AM
As a new trader I would like to know from our experts, the altcoins with good potentials in this 2023.
One simple trick, you must need to consider is, look at the coins/tokens which are backed by some real work usage. Elon is pumping dogecoins by hyping it with news of accepting dogecoins for his ventures. So, it is backed some real world usage.

Another example is, exchange tokens are backed by discount offers by same exchanges. We can trade them with the confident of continuous demand. So, instead of depending on only technical analysis, if you go along with fundamental things as well then your chances for enjoying consistent profits will be better than technical only based traders. Plan up and enjoy!
420  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 Bitcoin can take a position discussion. on: January 02, 2023, 08:26:22 PM
Whenever Bitcoin give a price discount just like what the price is at the moment it gives opportunities not only to small investors as you mentioned but also to big bag holders who also take advantage of such opportunity to fill their bags.
Recent events have forced Bitcoin price to remain at a declining state for a while but the break-out stage may come as the year progresses and investors and traders start having a positive reaction to the market because what effected Bitcoin price was external factors arising from bad news and events in other cryptocurrency projects.
That "discount" is something people fear because they see themselves as the product owner whose product is not discounted, not as the buyer whose item they want to buy got discounted. If you switch the side then you would be happy about it, but they somehow can't switch the sides.

I also own bitcoin and I do not consider the price drop as something bad for me, even though my portfolio has been down a lot recently, I still see this as a good thing and yet they do not, which is not terrible and I understand that, but that doesn't mean that we should be focusing on anything terrible neither, I am fine with it and I do not see it as a problem at all.
