Those cryptobullionpools cash-outs sure take their sweet time. How long does it usually take?

Seems to happen once per day at 18:00 UTC...so an hour from now.

Also the devs are working on making this happen more often/faster.

How can we calculate solidly what coins we should be making - from total # points?  How can we go back and account for each coin to make sure this is being done correctly?

Also already answered.

So the pool should be update the stats within a hr or so?

I'm folding since over 24 hrs with half a mil PPD and yet to receive anything at the pool.

Mine's still showin stats from yesterday. Not sure what time it updates but I think it was 15:00 UTC? So another 3 hours from now maybe?

Keep in mind it doesn't matter when you started folding, what matters is when the first work unit was completed, submitted, and verified.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 14, 2014, 11:38:36 AM
Yes the amds(2x r9 270) are working fine at 65k ppd and 70k ppd. I have paused and started the folding on gtx770 and now the gpu usage seems to be ok at start(only jumping from 91-99%) but after a few minutes it starts to fluctuate from 51-99% again. The Estimated PPD is also miserably low at 5327 :S.

abaout stats: I am listed at F@H Team and Extreme Overclockers Folding stats. I have 5 total WUs ...is that ok for 2x r9 270 folding for 20hours?

Thanks for help.

Well number of WUs does not mean much since each WU can vary greatly in how many points it is worth. The number we are interested in here is points earned.

For the card, again, I guess I can't help you, but keep in mind the estimated PPD takes about 30 minutes or so to calculate the proper number after you start your work unit. It probably won't end up being that low, but even still, whatever it is, if you're only getting an average of 75% usage on your card, then it could definitely be higher.

How can we get some accounting / visibility into how these payouts are calculated.  Why does everyone have such different results?

Well you can always check manually, but it's a bit of a process atm. I'm pretty sure the devs are working on making everything more real-time but you'll have to ask them about that. Right now you would have to keep a record of your total points earned according to the F@H site, then find the difference of your total points 24 hours later, that will give you your points earned on any given day. Problem is I'm not sure what time of day the cryptobullionpools scrapes this info from the F@H site. Anywhoo, once you've done that, you can look at the daily stats on cryptobullionpools and find the total points for the day (69910158 as of last update). Then it's just a matter of doing the calculation (My Points) / (Total Team Points) * 7488 = (Amount of Coins I Will Receive)

In my case on the 12th I had 120k points and the total team points were 37880030 so I should have earned 120k / 37880k * 7488 = ~24 coins....which I did actually receive.
Yesterday I had 105k points and total team points were 69910k so I should have earned 105k / 69910k * 7488 = ~11 coins. I did actually receive that amount, so I know everything is on the up and up in my case.

Interesting, i might upgrade my CAT drivers to 14.4 tonight. Has anyone else noticed an increase with 14.4?

Yes mafia I went from 70k and 60k ppd on each card to 90k and 80k after going from 13.12 to 14.4.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 14, 2014, 11:17:16 AM
what can i do to keep gpu usage for gtx770 at 100%(or close). The usage is jumping from 55%-90%?
And...how do i know i have everything configured right and that i am actualy earning curecoins? The pool(https://www.cryptobullionpools.com/userStatsAuth) is still not showing anything. Nothing at user stats hash rates, 0 points, 0 balance.

For GPU usage I can't really help you. I have an AMD card and haven't had that problem. Are you folding on your CPU? Your CPU might be bottlenecking you so try pausing folding on it if you are and see if it changes.

For the stats, first you must have completed work units and have them verified by stanford. Check the curecoin's team stats or your user stats on the F@H page, or use the extreme overclockers page to make sure that you have earned points. As long as your username at cryptobullionpools matches your username in the curecoin F@H team you will be credited, but it may take 24 - 48 hours after you have been credited at F@H to be credited at cryptobullionpools. Also the hash rate on cryptobullionpools will always read 0 because it's an artifact of some copied web page code. Vorsholk mentioned that in a previous post.

For anyone wondering about the payout delays and such, I'll tell you how mine worked for an example.

I started folding on May 10th and my work units usually take about 15 hours so probably completed some time May 11th (I was not home for the weekend so wasn't monitoring and don't remember exact time I started folding or ETA).

Yesterday, May 12th, during the afternoon (~19:00 UTC), on cryptobullionpools, I was seeing my PPD (120k) and expected payout (~24.7 CURE), and had an account balance of 0.000...CUR.

At 23:00 UTC last night (May 12th) my account was credited with the exact amount expected (24.67...), and I performed a cash out.

I just received my cash-out to my wallet at 18:00 UTC today (May 13th). Also, cryptobullionpools is showing 100k PPD for the day and an expected payout of ~11 coins. Account balance is 0.

So it seems accounts are credited at 23:00 UTC for work completed >24 hours earlier, and cashouts are handled at 18:00 UTC.

This is disheartening. I've been folding since May 10th at about 5PM PST at 300k PPD and only have 18 coins.

The cryptobullions pool is only showing my PPD as 72k, why is this?

I love this idea and it's clear that it's worthwhile given that the CureCoin team is the #1 folding team in only three days. There needs to be more information provided for the payouts though.

You have to understand, though, that the PPD metric is an average. I am actually folding at 180k PPD, yet I only had 120k points one day, and 100k points the next day. Why? Probably because I only turned in one work unit per card each of those days. Each work unit is worth about 60k, and completes in ~18 hours on my rig. That means, eventually, and every few days, I'm going to turn in two work units per card in a single day. That day I will get 240k points. Then I will go back to getting 120k points for a couple days, etc.

Your payout is not based on your calculated PPD, it is based on actual work submitted and verified.

Yup so once again at 23:00 UTC my account was credited. I have automatic payouts on this time so I'll see how that works.

I can't find the thread someone posted a while ago with the mining tweaking guide. I want to post it on some other forum. Anyone have a link handy?

Not sure which guide exactly you are looking for but here's one for scrypt mining:

411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 13, 2014, 09:12:46 PM
So my cards are doing around 45k each. R9 270 and gtx 770. Is that ok? The gtx770s gpu usage jumps from 50-99%. Cpu is 2500k. The radeon is fixed at 99% usage.

One of my 270s is getting 92k PPD, clocked at 1270 core and 1250 mem. The other one is getting 83k PPD clocked at 1150 core, 1250 mem. I am using catalyst 14.4. I was only getting ~70k and 60k respectively with the 13.12 drivers. Also I am using the passkey.

I put on folding some of my rigs (~20 Mh in scrypt) and receive 24 CUR after 1.5 days of folding (speed ~2.5 mil PPD).
I'll wait for tomorrow payment, but for now folding is NOT PROFITABLE Sad

Yes...wait till tomorrow. You will def get way more than 24 CURE. 24 CURE is what I got for 1 day of folding at 120k PPD (~1Mh or 2 x R9 270s). I would expect you to get at least 10 times that tomorrow.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 13, 2014, 07:38:08 PM
Anyone have a Points per day to payout calculator made up yet? Just want a rough idea of what I may be looking at. Currently at 463k points per day. Still some more tweaking to do.
I can say 1 thing: with such a big difficulty and such a low price Curecoin is NOT PROFITABLE (I mean folding). You receive less than mining DOGE.

I disagree. I was mining DOGE before this and was getting between 2500 to 5000 DOGE / day. That's max $2.50 per day at $0.0005 per.

My first day of folding I received 24 CURE. Ppl have already sold CURE on C-Cex for 0.002 BTC. That's ~$1.00 per CURE assuming $500 per BTC. That means I earned $24 in one day. A ten-fold increase.

That said, the returns are rapidly decreasing as more ppl point their rigs to folding and the total pool PPD goes up, and we don't know when it will level off yet. Also I think it's too early to assign a dollar value to CURE as the volume of trading is still very low.

463k / 69910k * 7488 = ~50

Key word there is rough...the 69910k figure is probably from yesterday, and you probably won't complete your WUs and get your PPD until tomorrow, so if the total folding pool points for tomorrow were to be double, you would get half that or ~25. If it quadruples, you will only get 12.5, etc...

Ok, I will give this a shot. The rig with the tri-core has 2 280x's on it and my 6-core has the other 4. My i7 rig has the gtx 590. I'll try pausing the cpu's and see what happens for a few hours. Thanks everyone

You should be good then, and could probably fold using a core or two on your 6-core and i7 rigs. Basically you want to keep 1 core(thread?) free for each GPU, +1 extra free core. So keep all cores freed up on the tri-core, 5 cores free on the 6-core (or maybe just 5 threads free if it's intel with hyperthreading....not sure how it works for intel), and 3 cores(threads?) free on the i7 since the 590 counts as 2 GPUs.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 13, 2014, 06:24:05 PM
Hardware question - I switched off of the united pool since that was an asic pool apparently. I followed the guide here http://www.curecoin.us/index.php?topic=9.0 and everything is working but my GPU's all show 0% usage in afterburner. The slowest CPU I have (old AMD Tri-core) is killing all of my GPU's @ folding so something is wrong on my side. I did verify the cards are all using Core_17.  1 Nvidia GTX 590 and 6 R9 280x's should not be beat by a tri-core cpu!

Any ideas guys? Or have another link to get GPU's folding? I would really appreciate it. And for the "It's not worth it people", just stay quiet. I'm not in it for making a ton of money. My family is riddled with genetic diseases so helping in this way gives me a chubby.

It takes about 3 minutes from the time you click fold until it actually starts doing anything, and then another 30 mins or so after that for your ETA and PPD to update. The tri core will probably bottleneck you, but you should have some usage, not 0%. Make sure you are not folding with your CPU as you will need all of it's resources to feed your GPUs.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 13, 2014, 05:25:38 PM
What kind of bullshit red herring is this?  Who said anything about "stealing"?  He paid himself a huge portion of the coins.  When the time is right he will dump it and crash the coin, and walk off with the cash.  No "stealing" is necessary.

Well if that's what you believe, then don't fold for it if you don't want to, no one is forcing you to. You were pointed to the relevant post explaining who the dev is and what the dev coins are for, etc. and completely dismiss it, yet you're trolling and spreading FUD about the dev's future actions as if it is fact with nothing to back up what you're saying. Do you know the dev? Is he a pathological liar? Repeat offender of criminal theft? What is the basis for your conclusion? Just your perception of human nature?
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 13, 2014, 05:17:20 PM
i choosed as anonymous on the first run, how can i change that now?
Im not sure why you would? no chance to get paid then i would imagine... Dit you follow the guide? good illustration and how to's on cryptobullionpools..
https://www.cryptobullionpools.com/about

in F@H -> configure -> identity -> click on link to request passkey ->register -> check email /spam for key -> enter information
-> register @cryptbullionpools with exact same username so your daily ppd can be gotten from standofds folding information and be linked to your points/payouts

ok all good now, it say 1679 points per day with 280x, seems low, or maybe i'm missing something?(the bar is on full)

See below

With a 270x I'm getting very poor performance.  gpu:0:Hawaii [Radeon R9 200 series].  In the work queue the ETA on the gpu is 10 days while my cpu is about 2 and a half hours.  Any suggestions?  Is my card just not powerful enough for this type of work?
turn off one core on your cpu. Your gpu will need it ...Advanced settings. under SLOT click on the cpu and change -1 to a number less than your cpu cores...

Before you try to fix something that's probably not even broken, I refer you to my previous reply:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=603757.msg6707438#msg6707438

That said, you do get optimal performance by keeping 1 core/thread free for each GPU, plus one extra thread/core. I have 2 GPUs and get optimal perfomance using only 3 of my 6 CPU cores.

Why are 800k+ coins for dev?
Isn't that a bit much compared to the low supply of ~10k coins per day?!

Yes.

At current exchange rates (I'm seeing .01BTC on bittrex right now) that's 8000BTC, or roughly $3.6m if he could get someone to buy all of them.  I'd like to see someone fork this project with zero premine and have the blocks pay out 80% to fold, 20% to miner, in much the same way devcoin does it.  And also, there is no good reason not to merge mine this.

The thing is, nobody had any idea what each curecoin would be worth until people started trading them. Their value is only just beginning to be determined and we only have a few low volume trades to go by at this point which may end up being meaningless in the long term. It could turn out that 800k cure do end up being worth millions or billions, and if so, I'm sure the devs have a plan for what they will do with all the extra at some point. No one has said that they are going to necessarily dump them for cash and keep it all for themselves.

They can and will.  Mark my words, the dev will dump and kill this coin.  I have 4x R9 290s, 1 280x, and 2x 270s churning on this full time and I got 5 coins in 36 hours.  This is why premine doesn't work -- it fundamentally fucks the value of the coin so that it's not longer tied to the amount of energy required to create it.
