I haven't looked into nice hash yet only mining rig rentals I'll have to check them out and see what the price is to rent there. I know when I checked out MRR a few days ago there was only one miner selling power for NIST5 algo.

Yeah I agree it's a solid project and community donations would definitely help it along. I certainly don't mind contributing a little here and there to watch my investment grow but I would suggest going for a bittrex add if we are going to pull for adding to an exchange. |

The fact that Waves will have a "non-Turing complete" script is important for its security.
Right now, Ethereum shows that Solidity (Turing complete) is far too complex for handling such amount of value.
If even Gavin Wood can't create solid code...
Yeah I'm in agreement here a project of this caliber needs to have some speed bumps built in to prevent this sorta thing from happening at least for a few more years until all the bugs can be worked out. I wouldn't be surprised if those White Hats run with the money and projects flock to Waves. I'm still not sure how I would feel about that scenario tbh. |

I would advise against masternodes, at least while the coin is still mineable. Most hybrid coins do not have many security problems. This coin has no real need of masternodes at this point but to only alienate future investors. I know the dev of another coin who originally was going to make his coin PoS only but decided against since hybrid coins' chains are very secure. 'Nodes could help once the coin is only PoS. Would you mind elaborating further why you think they would alienate further investors. I have to admit I'm not extremely versed in some of the technical aspects of blockchain. I was thinking they might be a good marketing tool to attract more investors. I'm interested in learning as much as I can. This has more to do with the whole cryptosphere than anything. Like I basically said, tech-wise there is no current need for masternodes, Dash came up with masternodes to help secure the network like PPC came up with hybrid PoS/PoW to secure the network. When any coinsin general gains popularity, i.e. get in the top 50 on CMC, sock puppets tend to start showing up to put coins down. Bringing in masternodes would only give fuel to fire this early. Since we actually would be instituting them in to be trendy and gain some popularity since there is no other reason to do so. The fudders would actually have an genuine argument against early holders controlling the coins since we mined it, staked, and then brought in masternodes (if we do so at this point) to increase our supply. (Yes, all early miners/buyers get the best deal anyway but it does not stop fud). Don't get me wrong, I'm not against masternodes wholesale. (I have a stake in PIVX, DASH, CHC and CRW). I just think it would be bad reasoning to bring them in while there is no technological reason to do so. I think it would be great to say at then end of PoW masternodes will be a part of the roadmap (especially if you say the amount is not decided, it would give even more incentive to hold). I understand exactly where you're coming from, I only suggested masternodes as a way to attract interest in the coin and a low barrier of entry for the coin requirement could be a easy way to combat the fudders and would be a true advertising point for decentralization but you are right as far as extra security thats not necessary(if there is such a thing). I think with this kind of coin its important to have direction to a yearly end goal with tentative deadlines to show people its a serious project like a mission or vision statement lol. |

Well this is an unfortunate set of circumstances too bad I was just about to invest in it to now I won't touch it with a ten foot pole. ETH by itself just seems to be coded together with tape and glue, first the DAO now this whats next another HF to recover lost funds because people can't be smarter with their funds. I mean come on there should be better planning across the project instead of this bs. Developers should always plan on their project being a target to malicious parties and re-enforce security at every turn but no its become a game of lets dump a bunch of money into a pot and see who gets lucky. ICO after ICO, token after token funded with an insane amount of money and still subpar coding from the devs what a joke.

Hi there, first of all, I think this is a very promising project. I'm currently mining Solaris and also bought some on Cryptopia. I have a few questions, though.
When I first downloaded the Windows wallet, it didn't start synchronizing automatically and said there were "0 active connections". I solved it by creating the .conf file, but why is it happening in the first place? It makes the coin look a bit unprofessional and could be a turnoff for more casual users.
I'd also like to recommend creating a subreddit and perhaps get on some other social media, a sense of community around the coin will increase it's worth in the eyes of a potential investor researching the coin.
Other than that I'd like to thank the developer for staying very active and I hope he'll continue to do the great job he's doing.

Yeah I agree a subreddit and wallet polishing would probably bring in more members to the community but usage wouldn't hurt either like maybe being added to coinpayments.net. The algorithm is so rare that there's only one miner on mining rig rentals for it that's both a good and bad thing imo. I plan to do a write up on Steemit about it eventually once I get a sense of direction of where the coin is headed. A roadmap info graphic speak volumes too so maybe if we could band together and hire someone to create one if it's not already in the works. What do you guys think? |

Glad to see the project is alive and well! I'll admit I got a little nervous when the thread was first started and I was reading about token distribution problems. But I'm glad I chalked it up to investors just not reading the whitepaper or following the instructions correctly. Project is in high demand and should take off once other exchanges are added. Try liqui and tidex they are small and up-an-comers that are probably looking to diversify their offerings besides ERC20 and Waves tokens.

I bought into the ICO and received my tokens just fine trading them on liqui as we speak to hopefully build a stronger bag but more importantly I do agree the website does need an update if it's still redirecting to tokeninvestor. Not sure I would trust slack for updates as the slackbot has been compromised or any other avenue or just the main website?

I think it's rather costly to move the whole infrastructure (BoO and SoG itself) to all-new blockchains. Afaik XCP developers are busy with making some sort of micropayments system, so why bother to go elsewhere? I could propose a temporary measure - cooperate with ViaBTC or BTC.com (or any other mining pool ready for that) to add counterparty txs to the blocks for the smallest possible fees Maybe co-promotion would be enough to satisfy the mining party of agreement  That's not a bad idea actually and boost people's confidence in both the game and XCP again. The only problem I see with that is there would have to be some incentive to take XCP's fees as a priority and I'm just not sure XCP DEX has the transaction volume to satisfy a mining pools requirment when it comes to prioritizing transactions. If SegwitX2 activates how will that affect XCP's DEX as far as fees go? It should lower then if I'm not mistaken or am I way off there? |

MN are to expensiv with 150k No its not, if you buy now.Its about 1.3 btc Shit 1.3 BTC is about $3000 give or take which is literally 1% of current marketcap guess that's not expensive to you but that is way past the barrier of entry on a coin that's under a million on the marketcap and less then a year old; most people aren't willing to pay and in the end that will hurt SCORE in the long run because the masternodes will be so centralized. Well think about thit this way. The number of mn owners will be far less, therefore more profit for the people owning a mn I guess that's one way to look at it lol  . But have the masternodes even been implemented yet or is it still on the list of things to do? I would consider it if there was a masternode calculator somewhere I could average an ROI and if the price would come down less then a BTC. |

Wave well holds a blow to a weak cue ball
let's hope this is the bottom. But truthfully it may not be until after August. This is a great project and it's not worth worrying about its price today. Buying waves is always a good opportunity if you trust in the leading team that supports the project and you want to be a long term holder. I agree with this statement with 230 million on a marketcap that is a very low risk high reward scenario considering when you look at other projects out there that are still in concept phase with even higher marketcaps then waves it stands to reason it's only a matter of time before Waves has its time to shine! |
