I've managed to get back on top of things, after doing some freelance work for a while.
Everyone is quite keen for an update on things, so here we go:

Mooncoin 0.13 release is very stable.

Total resident memory usage under 75mb (whilst syncing chain).
Time from launching Mooncoin to being ready to use, in the case of a sync'd chain, has been halved (minimum).

Standard sync time from scratch to current blockheight is 34 minutes.
Due partially to 'headers first' functionality seen in late model codebases, but mainly optimized PoW validation during synchronization.

Extensive testing with the new Dual KGW3 difficulty retargetting algorithm. Probably the best i've worked with so far, especially the BitSend timeout feature (this will gradually drop the difficulty over time if a block has not been found in x minutes).

After a lot of testing; i'm not quite happy with the new custom PoW algorithm and it will be tweaked over the next few days, to ensure that: a GPU miner is not possible, botnets do not become an issue and also to guarantee protection against double-spend attacks. Recently HTML5 suffered a 'catastrophic' doublespend at Bleutrade, and I do not wish to ever see this occur with Mooncoin.

I've also decided that Moonlite will be a plug-in module, rather than in-wallet; meaning that the 0.13 release can be done earlier, and that development can be done on each independently, rather than one holding the other up.

I'd like to see the fork to the new algo/codebase before block 1,200,000; but this is up to the community to discuss.

It's a shame that MOON is not listed on other exchanges like BITTREX, or CRYPOTPIA ..

That would bring more volume.

And we are back @ 1 satoshi..I don't know does anyone care anymore or is it relevant to even ask, but Ill ask: did we have that logo contest already? If yes, had it how many logos and this M-logo apparently won?

The question is what will be easier:
for BTC to go from almost $3000 to $15000 (x5),
or for MOON to go from 2 Satoshi to 10 Satoshi (x5).
Maybe the word "hedge" is not completely correct, it's all about the risk/reward ratio.
It's just a diversification. MOON is not more unstable than other known coins.
No one can predict the madness of the market though.
BTC was a good hedge at $500-$1000, but now at almost $3000 with an upcoming blockchain changes (August, 1), the possible split into a classic BTC and BTC unlimited (BTU), it's not a hedge (at least not now) in my opinion.
Are you sure that Bitcoin has a guaranteed rise in value from these levels?

The crypto is a quite unpredictable thing though, it always surprises.

Also, don't forget that a week from now, the moon is starring in the forbes magazine.

d) Mooncoin is just a revived coin - no, it never was dead, even after sudden disappearing of an original dev who reported health issues and that he was in hospital before his disappearing, who knew what happened to him, but some people are ready to judge and blame him...

also it was an Altcoin crisis in 2014-2015, many coins went down significantly, many people had no faith in Altcoins at all in those dark times, MOON was no exception

e) cry no adoption, no real use - and what real use, say, DOGE has now? It's the matter of time, even Bitcoin's adoption and real use is still at the beginning.
I can say that old Mooncoin members use Mooncoin to tip each other, and some people, designers etc. accept Mooncoin,
Coinomi suggested to implement Mooncoin for 350 mil MOON, they asked for MOON, not for BTC, do you see?
you can use cointopay.com to start selling and buying things with Mooncoin,
that depends on you, you can organize a payment gateway, accept MOON, auto exchange it to BTC, and then auto exchange BTC to Gift cards and let people buy with MOON at marketplaces with Giftcards,
technically it's possible, but it's too early maybe, no big demand will be,
because common people don't know about MOON and DOGE yet, it's exotic to pay with these currencies (and even with BTC now),

however if it becomes not exotic in the future, the price and the market cap will be not like now (!) remember it.
