>I take it you bought at 10-20K?
Price doesn’t really matter, I’m buying very often, once I have excess cash I would buy more, stack the sats, I can loss 50% buying at 10k and the price dump to 5k next week, 20k and dump to 10k next, I would always buy at peak and get dump, this is what market always doing, you have 1000 traders who are outsmarting you a single trader, you want to be the smartest of all traders, good luck on being so very smart in a pump and dump, in the end I get dump now I get pump, it’s the lesson.

True. Are you buying now that price has dipped? I'm thinking about dipping back in at 20K or 30K myself but then the markets probably will pump back to the mid-50Ks back to 60K then 70K from this dump back to the lower 40K and above before that is even a choice Cheesy. This bull market is nuts definitely bigger than 2017 due to the new players in it. My advise to the forum post author is now is the time to buy as the market will eventually recover to their ATHs and right now everything has dipped. However, if this is the end of the bull market then prices may dip more.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LBRY] Open, User-Controlled, and Decentralized Content Marketplace/YouTube on: April 24, 2021, 11:30:46 AM

Anyone knows why Bittrexglobal disabled withdrawals/deposits for LBRY ? They don't seem to answer my ticket.
They only delist LBC on the Bittrex US market tho. The Bittrex global will not delist LBRY.

https://twitter.com/BittrexGlobal/status/1380211037094432771?s=20

It was so stupid because I had a buy order in ETH Market but they left it in the market even though I did not know the market would not be available to me. So the buy order goes through now I had to withdraw it to another exchange. Bittrex is getting ridiculous.
403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading an occupation? on: April 11, 2021, 06:30:43 PM
Actually trading could be an occupation to some because it does pay some bills. I do know a lot of people who have been trading for years and had quit their job to do full time trading instead, and they mostly say it pay their bills and mortgages. And I think that's one of the main reason why people work because it pays their needs.

I could see that if the person's job is in sales or commission based as those job don't give you a guaranteed income or they are working some menial job that doesn't pay but crypto does and doing it full time for them would be a better source of income. I still would rate trading as a sales/commission job sometimes you win big and other times you lose.

>>When did you buy?
Your reply tell me one thing, you are very loss aversion, that’s not your fault who love to watch their net worth goes down in value? I’d tell you when I first bought it, it goes down 50% instantly yeah fomo hurt badly, but it didn’t kill, you buy a phone knowing the next day your new bought phone would be worth 50% less on used market but why you didn’t feel bad with that? I don’t care I just buy without doubt, worrying about too late and I wouldn’t even buying any.

Yeah I am pretty loss aversive but I usually hodl out until I dig up enough news on something or something abrupt happens that makes me change course with my crypto assets. Anymore I'm bullish on the top 10 assets. The others I might jump in on again but they really fluctuate so as this thread author is asking it is hard to know when to get in. I take it you bought at 10-20K? No worries as BTC will go to 1 Million in the next few years according to Plan B.

Keep telling yourselves you are late, when bitcoin was $1, when it was $10, when it’s was $100, when it was $1000 when it was $10000, I bought bitcoin and thinking it was late too, yeah it collapse after I bought it then what? If I shy away from being too late I would never buy any.

When did you buy?

4. you are too late joining in the crypto market.

I almost want to agree with what you are saying here as for the rest if this guy buys into an ICO he better sell it at a profit if it pumps because a lot of the time these can end badly. You could say it is too late to get into the real estate market or hell even the stock market at these prices. The bottom line is USD is going to continue to be worth less so if he does get in then possibly lose due to market crash then may as well go with the Top 10 coins as they usually rebound within a year or two. At the same time with the logic that USD is worth less then why not go with Crypto an asset that protects against the inflation of FED policies? Another way to put your last statement is hodl USDC or BUSD at a DeFi exchange that offers interest. If the market crashes like it usually does then capitalize on the fallen crypto markets with that saved USDC or BUSD.
407  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading an occupation? on: April 11, 2021, 12:32:59 AM
Some previous comments point out that trading is an occupation... I can agree with that, as I can disagree! Crypto trading is a 24/7 open market, with so many options and features! So it can be an occupation, as it can be a hobby! You decide how much time and money you will sacrifice on trading... and in the end, you can make some profit, or not!

Crypto is about freedom, so use that freedom and simply adjust your trading strategies with your free time! Of course, you can trade 24/7, but for what? Where is your life in that case?

I think that strategy is important... you need to find the best strategy for your free time and for your capital! If you wish to survive and make money in the long run! Everything fast is very risky, but long-run strategies can work if you combine all the factors in the right way!

Good advise and I see your point on life balance but it depends on the person and where they came from. If they already almost 24-7 or are on call for their job then crypto is for them as the market is 24-7 which is what makes it so much better than traditional markets. As you said it depends on your strategy and you could just passively invest your crypto into a DeFi platform like Nexo or BlockFi.
408  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading an occupation? on: April 11, 2021, 12:26:46 AM
I have recently come a trading type of career in our local employment related website. It is a national website and companies put their job adverts there and people apply to start working there. I could say that I was shocked to see crypto related jobs all had something like "business analyst" who was basically just a trader who didn't trade. All the analytics all the chart readings all basically related stuff was there. I don't know if that is going to be a long term thing but I think it was basically just a big career that employed thousands of people.

I mean sure they are not trading so you may not consider them traders but they were doing everything a trader does every day and they just do not click the buy/sell buttons. I do not know why they are hired and what good they do to people, but I think higher ups hires these people to keep constant finger on things.

They sound like a glorified salesperson or "financial advisor" from what you are inferring. Unless the postings had some IT/Dev background where they code to a certain blockchain or protocol.
409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading an occupation? on: April 11, 2021, 12:05:46 AM
Ok if you are thinking salary is what makes you poor then if you lack funds get better skills or better yet look for another job. As for crypto, if you are light on funds then I recommend putting in what you can afford to lose. Put in 100, 1000, (If you can put in 10K) whatever it is use that amount to invest in yourself. Just like your 401Lame or the stonk market you can make tidier returns than a saving account. Just for perspective, my first 401Lame which I can't transfer to my current job for some reason has doubled in value in just less than 10 years with Crypto I made 10X 100X damn near 1000x for select coins I had (never really invested in Stonks but have always thought about it but the game is rigged just like with the 401Lames what goes up must come down, zero sum game as someone used to tell me.) Regardless if you are young the main asset you have is time and I would say out of  all of the assets out there Crypto is the best. Stonk market has set hours while Crypto is 24-7 and no one ever mentions this or hypes this fact up which is what makes the markets in my opinion more valuable than the stonk market (wake up world markets... Crypto is eating your lunch).

Anyway a general strategy is to look at the charts look for lows is the coin you are about to buy at a good low for the time you are looking at it? Can you buy at that low again? Put in a low order and wait on it eventually it might get filled. Or if you see good overall volume and the price seems good you can grab it but be careful it might bottom out and then you become a bagholder. If that is the case, can you stake the coin? Does it have value elsewhere is what you should also be asking. When you go to sell try sell a small amount at minimum point you could get out or alert you. You can also put a larger sell at a high point in case it pumps but you may want to consider hodling the coin if you like the project and feel it is undervalued. The best advise I can give you is don't quit your day job even if you jackpot to 10K or 100K or 1M (yes 1 Million dollars isn't worth that much but is a good nest egg to fall back on unless you are old today then quit your job). The reason why is because even though you get tired of what you do it generates a guaranteed income (unless you work on commission then I would say if you get to this point work less focus more on crypto if you feel you have the market down). Also even if you make a ton of money you can also lose a lot of money. What if the coin you choose no longer has a developer or it turns out to be scam or investors feel like they are getting value out of the project anymore then you can lose it all. Another thing to be concerned about is bad exchanges and just bad actors in crypto. I've lost and I've won but overall I've done quite good. If you really don't know what to invest in then you might want to get a savings account from BlockFi or Nexo. Only quit your job if you feel that you can make adequate returns in crypto or use a strategy of building your funds to 8-20+ Million and then sell half put that into monthly/quarterly dividend stocks and keep the other half in crypto.

Where can i find any news on the Supernet UNITY token/fund ? It used to have an extra site but now it just forwards me to komodoplatform.

Better question for yourself is where have you been? If you still have the NXT asset and not the Komodo asset then you might want to join the discord and hope that you aren't too late to make the switch over. They swapped assets over almost 2 years ago. If you mean news for the SuperNET Komodo asset then please go to the Discord anyway for more information. I believe it is setup as a sort of dividend system where if the wallet reaches a certain threshold then divs are paid out to holders. It is based off of the fees from the DEX if I am not mistaken.

As far as wallets go, I see the adama wallet is in beta.  Any issues I should know about before using that wallet.  I would read through the thread but 800+ pages lol.  If anyone can give me the pros/cons on the adama wallet I'd appreciate it.  Thanks

Actually, its pronounced Agama not Adama. I would say that Agama isn't really in Beta any longer as the wallet is completely usable. Now if you asked me 2+ years ago I would would have said yes it is in Beta as I can't get my balances to show or transfer (If you have this issue today then simply clear the Komodo/Agama folders in Appdata or change the connection server, though this hasn't happened to me lately). Flash forward to today and it is quite a wallet with multi-coin support and if you download it BarterDEX, a decentralized desktop app. To a degree, I would say that this wallet is in constant Beta as new developments unfold at least there is a dedicated team that seeks improvement unlike so many coins in the Crypto-world.

Thanks yeah for some reason I was thinking d not g lol.  Can you export private keys, and import them in case its needed?

I mainly use my passphrase as a backup but I believe you can obtain the private keys from the settings area in the upper-right by pressing the 3 lines menu button as it will then show the Settings link. In settings area, you can choose to export your private key via your seed code into the Export keys field upon expanding it in it will be the WIF(Wallet Import Format Key). I think if you had the old swing wallet which I have never used then you can import/export the Wallet.dat file from your Appdata folder or copy it there from where ever you saved it by going to the Export Keys area. I think they release a new QT style wallet called Komodo Ocean QT.

At least your trolling me and not the coin Tongue. That defines a good community.
I'm doing neither, pointing at your mistake in pointing at someone else's mistake isn't "trolling". Or are you saying that you were trolling and your comment was pointless?

The latter my comment was pointless.

Actually, its pronounced Agama not Adama...
Actually, its typed/spelled/written 'Agama', not "pronounced Agama". The written form of how it's pronounced would be əˈɡāmə or ˈaɡəmə.  Grin

I think ComputerGenie was off by a zero. I think he meant 7.5K sats. KMD all-time low is 3K sats with an all-time high of 93K sats, according to CoinMarketCap.com.
Stop trying to think; you're apparently not good at it:

My mistake I thought you were off but as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. However, you shouldn't act like this guy:

I don't think so. For instance, March 14th 2017 shows that KMD was around 30k sats. Not the 750 sats that you stated (I don't think KMD was ever close to being this low). Also, what makes you say that June 21st 2017 was during an irrational market?  Is the market not irrational today? Are the dates that you specifically picked not irrational?  Just wondering.

Am I the only one here having "unable to establish RPC connection" error after upgrading to 0.2.33?
Stands for hours without syncing. VPN on, off - all the same.

If you go into the Agama Wallet there is a settings tab on the right. Scroll down to SPV servers and select it. There should be a dropdown box and choose the secondary server in the list. It should connected if it doesn't then toggle back to the prior server and you should see your balance.

I'm sort of new to this coin myself. However, I might be able to help you out with your POS dilemma. I've noticed the POS algorithm is set to stake once then I'm not sure but after the first stake it doesn't stake or show an ETA of a stake thereafter. So what I did was move my coins to an exchange then back to my wallet and now I have general stake ETA. Other than that make sure you are fully synced to the Blockchain as there should be a check at the bottom showing that you are. Also you need to unlock your wallet for staking by going to the appropriate menu.

To the BitPopulous team:

I am sorry for my brash words in a previous post. I did not take anything files from the Development channel in Slack nor did I take any screenshots of your work. I didn't do this for fear of retribution and that there may be patients on the said products. Hopefully, I was the only outsider on this channel.

Again sorry for my poor choice of words.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] POPULOUS - Invoice trading platform | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: December 26, 2017, 05:14:21 PM
Update: I was trying to help someone from Telegram access to the populous-eth-comm slack channel and it looks like Nico kicked me off of it after I asked the question about the beta. There was a lot of pasted code and a few zip files (I should have downloaded those). One thing I will say was fishy was that the github links lead to nowhere and could not be found so I don't know if they will link those or once again that might be restricted to the dev team. I think this channel is restricted to the dev team but I wonder if they wanted to give us all a view that they were working on it?
