Fucking Ethereum, stop killing the bitcoin.
that is funny. bitcoin i think will die...PoW is an old idea. better solutions are available and people will obviously pick them over something as archaic as PoW. it's no longer logical...but most people are neophobes. they will hang onto their old ideologies until the day they die, clutching in their hands a USD drive containing worthless bitcoins bitcoin has done its job...time to go home and let crypto 2.0 take the stand maybe i'm wrong though and BTC will stick around; allowing exchange between 2.0 coins. oh but i guess that's what the AEs are for someone sell me on bitcoin when ethereum/nxt are available? the only advantage is the strength of BTC network

Make sure you folks run off and tell mum that I did here.

I'll visit the grave site when this POS dies
It is a PoS coin.. Exactly - a very flawed concept Maybe you folks should read up on that very flawed - lol why is it flawed?

So confused to anyone dumping into a massive buy wall. This person is no idiot buying at this price and will drive the BTCD from your weak hands. You're being played and getting out now is just filling someone else's rocket to the moon. You've got everything laid out for you by Our dev and you'd dump at this price? CRAZY! Someone willing to buy XX BTC worth of BTCD at this price obviously has a shit ton more to spend on keeping you out once you sell. Boy would I feel bummed had I sold at .001 and the same goes for now. You're in early if you're in now. This coin has value and real world useage before the end of fall in northern hemi.

thanks for sending the dark paper. I read it and am about to re-read it. i can't comment on the technical details; i don't know what is possible and what isn't, if anything. looking forward to the tech though...if the paper comes to life as written then this will have an impact that i can't grasp yet. privacy is something most of us (especially us US citizens) are very unfamiliar with. it is very hard to understand how this affects your thinking, actions, and consciousness. a fish does not know it swims in water

Just seeing if we can teleport the little white rabbit to make sure it survives.
you can do it, furry friend!

Anonymity, as with security, is a matter of perspective and relativity. With current computing technology we can employ modern cryptography techniques and have a high degree of certainty that the information we are securing is in fact secure. But a significant enhancement in computing or cryptography techniques could mean that what we believe is secure today, becomes an open book. The same is true for anonymity in respect to crypto currency transactions / messaging. We can implement layers of anonymizing and masking techniques to make it significantly difficult to trace transactions so that we can regard it as anonymous. But again that is relative to today's technology. So to consider something "more anonymous" simply means adding more layers or degrees of difficulty required to de-anonymize.
I often rebuke people for using aristotelian logic and here I am, thinking like an on/off switch! I understand now My original plan to utilize cryptonote tech was deprecated when I got the Teleport concept.
Teleport is not needing to use Boolberry or any other cryptonote, in fact there is no reason it cant Teleport BBR or XMR, just need to add support for it after BTC and NXT. So Teleport will enhance whatever privacy the thing you are teleporting has. Even if it is none, you still get privacy.
There is no need for quantum entanglement! We are only talking about electronic bits. Using privacyServer network it is possible to send the required bits directly peer to peer. This creates the "teleportation" effect as far as the blockchain is concerned
The rest is just a lot of detailed coding work to handle all the cases.
When the darkpaper comes out, it will all be clear. I will PM it to you.
James
P.S. I am putting the finishing touches on the receive side today and hope to be able to start debugging all the new code tonight/tomorrow.
that would be great, this sounds very cool If you haven't before, take a look at the Casimir Effect. Might help you to solve your conundrum i'll have to look into this

Will this coin be "truly anonymous?"
And is there a "truly anonymous" coin out right now? I haven't been following alts much as of late. Not sure of DRK's status
Have a look at Monero. Currently there is no coin more anonymous. I believe that BitcoinDark will achieve anonymity via routing transactions through Boolberry, Monero's competitor. Becareful though, Boolberries creator is currently making very questionable modifications to the CryptoNote code. (CryptoNote powers both Monero and Boolberry) These modifications are debatable and mostly a marketing effort against Monero. Step with care. But what does "more anonymous" mean? It seems to me that something is either anonymous or not. I have a hard time wrapping my head around anonymity. From my non-technical background, anonymity seems to be the equivalent of teleportation in the physical world. You're making bits disappear and then appear at a non-random location in cyberspace. This is some sort of alchemy of the cyber space-time continuum.....Maybe I'm looking too much into this but there seems to be a major philosophical conundrum here. If you can do this in cyberspace, then that means you can do it in the physical world. What does that mean to make something appear and disappear? Is there an unseen realm its transporting to? It must be going somewhere! Or can I look at this much in the same way a physicist looks at quantum entanglement? jeeze, I think my brain just exploded. pardon the abstractness of this post....it just happens to be how I'm putting this picture together. This is a VERY far out tech if it can be pulled off...from my understanding

I'm on the sidelines for this one. Coins like NXT seem to be a much safer bet right now...they've been live since december/january
|
|
|
Not a match in price, but NXT could match marketcap. It's an entirely new platform behaving as more than just a coin.
|
|
|
NXT 1) Coin must be really innovative Built from scratch. The asset exchange is a really cool feature, among many others (check out the wallet, very slick) 2) Coin has an excellent and competent development team with evidence that they are competent and excellent Browse the nxt forums https://nxtforum.org/index.phpdevs are very active and are putting out impressive work..see for yourself 3) Coin has a good chance of getting on Bittrex and Mintpal I don't know why it isn't. 80-100 BTC daily volume on BTer is on the low end, the coin definitely gets action 4) Coin has an excellent and large community and a community which is growing by the day Again, check out the forums. Join, post, feel it out for yourself. 5) Coin is relatively new? Not too new, but I'd pick an established coin with history over a new coin with uncertainty looming Right now is a good buy-in price....well, anything below 10 cents is a good buy in price, imo become active in the forums, I think you'll have a hard time not buying NXT...it's already a top 3 coin, well established. Much less of a gamble than new coins http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-07-18/bitcoin-dominance-challenged-as-danish-bourse-offers-nxt-trading.htmlhttp://www.nxt.org/news-detail/bitcoin-dominance-challenged-by-nxt/http://www.nxt.org/news-detail/first-ever-crypto-asset-listing-on-poloniex/
