I think we can still see Cryptocurrency in 10 years or more. Cryptocurrency cannot be killed because everyone in the world usually accesses it. You don't need to be afraid and always think positively that Crypto will always develop and have a good future.
everyday several coins or tokens are being created, so if this will continue we will have hundreds more of various cryptocurrencies by the end of this year. it means, there's no stopping anytime soon with this new currencies. but most of them will die after a couple of months or so. and imo, these cryptocurrencies will live another 10 years or more, as long as people find out that blockchain can really change the way we live. but only the best ones will survive. pump and dump coins will be gone soon. When the old crypto died and there will be a new one will be born in the future, this is about the technology and you can't even predict how long it will stay with us. Crypto still doesn't get mass adoption. We will see that in the future and i just try to see the future of cryptocurrency. |

As just another ordinary guy involved with the world of cryptocurrency, I could not really fathomed why there is such a war or if there is really a necessity for such a chaotic exchange which affected many coin holders. Roger Ver must be a man of war and we know that he also waged the same war last year with the original Bitcoin claiming that BitcoinCash was actually the real Bitcoin and now he is facing his own war in his own very arena. Guy, what do you think BAT will be ever 10$ or possibly in next 2-3 years  ?  BAT's ATH was $0.8. It looks so difficult to happen. As far as i know, the big bubble will be happening in 3 or 4 years later. I just try to take the old chart of bitcoin as the best technical analyzation. Even if that will be listed on coinbase and that will not give a huge impact to the price of BAT. It's around 30% increase in a day. |

The best valuable lesson I learned from the bear market happened in 2018 is always save money earned and don't waste it because I don't know the variable of cryptocurrency market. You are right, you need to have a plan for how to act in this or that situation, and also have a supply of fiat money, because the crypto-currency market is very unstable and unpredictable. I had to look for work, although before that the only source of income was a crypto-currency, now I will only combine work and crypto. I have a similar situation. I was not ready that the market would fall all year. This is my first such experience and I now regret that I did not sell all my altcoins in time. I will keep my altcoins that I have left and I hope that sometime they will give me a good profit. ICOs that wanted to dump, would have done that before this time. Therefore, none of them will think it wise to dump when the price is this low. These icos will not dump the ethereum at the bottom price and they will get less. they are not so stupid as newsbtc said. It's a crap news site. I thought that maybe some icos will try to liquidate their ethereum for money and then we can buy em all on the cheap price but i waiting for bitcoin. |

When I started this thread, suggesting to sell SV, it was trading at 170$. Now you can get it on Kraken and Poloniex and Bittrex for 40$ or less.

If you did what I suggested, you would have sold your SV at 145 to buy ABC at 250 (pretty much current price), getting about 0.6 ABC for each SV sold.
Now for the same 0.6 ABC you can get back 3.5 SV instead of the initial one.
Sold all of my SV to buy ABC but i have a question, i can't find ABC listed on CMC and do you know about that? Do I miss something? I have heard that ABC has already merged with BCH and is that true? just curious about this dude. I'm ABC supporter. I hope faketoshi will be gone. |

Ethereum is 100% pegged to the bitcoin. A lot of ethereum holders are moving toward another platform. I still have some ether and i have sold em all. I have tried to draw a comparison between fiat money and cryptocurrencies, and have reached the conclusion that we can have up to 1.7 billion different cryptocurrencies since everyone can just wake up and issue a currency without a hitch! The problem now is if cryptocurrency can solve the problems it was created to solve since everyone can use it to create a problem instead! These include PnD schemes that have been ran by ICOs, who after raising funds off of you, the dump on you at exchanges and the project dies afterwards. Anyone can list a shitcoin on an exchange and the rake in hundreds of thousands of sales in $BTC and ETH. With all of these, do you still trust cryptocurrency investment??!
Yes i do. But it must be supported by a big advisor to create FOMO. I have known a project which has supported by Co-founder of ripple and he was officially investing around 4 million dollars into it and does it make sense to not trust that ico? I still try to believe it as long as it has a lot of advisors and backed by big people behind it. |

I don't get it. Why should Walmart issue their own cryptocurrency instead of adopting bitcoin? What's the advantage of Walmart creating their own "WAM" coin and how will it help them get more customers like you're saying? I'm pretty sure they're doing fine with just accepting fiat currency. Creating their own coin/token is simply just pointless.
Imagine if you are wanna creating a fast transaction and then that needs more than 10 minutes to get a single confirmation and most of the merchants are putting more than two confirmation to avoid the double spend. That makes sense to create its own crypto with a better scalability to make it even faster. |

So I’ve invested a bit of money into altcoins about a year ago, and did a bit of trading but then slowly lost the track of it... Until today, where I found my ledger in my closet and decided to give it another look.

I have lost more than 70% from my initial investment. But i never try to look at my portfolios. Just try to put more and more into my wallet. if you sold em all and you have no chance to recover your money. I will do long term. I will open my wallet again in a few years later and see what will be happening with it. If that will worth when there was a big bubble last year and i will be so happy with it. |

You wouldn't find cryptocurrency without any flaws. That's clear thing that in some extent every cryptocurrency has some limitations. But it doesn't mean that such cryptocurrencies can not be effective. They have been working on their own ways.I guess any project will have its own advantages and disadvantages. but if the team can maintain its project properly and any flaws can be prevented. Some are trying to create such a perfect crypto. Remember it will be so difficult thing consider a new idea will appear anytime. |
