Dev said he is waiting after the block halving of bitcoin which makes a lot of sense. The block halving would completely rule out any pump caused by releases of new stuff  I nearly got 100 mill of my 200 mil target now. |

So I'd like to know how to handle a new idea. You see I have an idea of a coin that will not aim to take any market cap away from bitcoin only to serve the people investing in bitcoin. I dint want to end up telling my idea to someone to steel it. So how to avoid that? Also when you strike a deal with a dev or person how do you keep the confidence your not going to shit on reach other?

Given that WAVES was part of their marketing campaign, it doesn't seem like they did much (if any) research before asking for people's money for crowdfunding. Perhaps Mycelium will distant it's business from WAVES but this still goes to show that there was no clear plan for what was going to be done with funds from the crowdfunding and it more or less served as a cash injection/donation. In this case, they used WAVES just to gather up hype around their project. we should wait till End of July 2016. because they have a roadmap till that month. if things don't shape up or show anything more than today, it will be as you say. Doesn't the fact that WAVES has been blatantly lying to people up to this point already put both them and Mycelium in a bad spot? It's been quite some time since WAVES' ICO took place and there's still no half decent code in their repository, most of the stuff there is either for web-design or other renamed open source projects. i wouldn't be too quick to jump the gun. it hasn't even been a month after the ICO (nearly though. lol!). if all it takes is just a few weeks to say "this project is a total goner"...lol. but whatever it is, we do what floats our boat best. oh and Tai Zen and Leon Fu are still in the WAVES game. so i ain't gonna call the shots first just yet. waves turned out to be a scam sure. I have to say guys, so far I am not really impressed with current operations:
1. The way the team setup to acquire a new logo feels amateurish
2. There are no updates whatsoever, not even weekly updates
3. Devs do not partake in the community discussion, do they actually care what we are saying here?
Am I just complaining, because to be honest I expected more from a "professional" team.

I agree somewhat with your statement. I would like to see more updates on the project. Even if nothing is going on, have the community manager stop in, answer some questions, start up a Slack channel, etc. I realize we are MANY months from going live, but the interaction is important. The logo contest doesn't actually state that the winning logo will be used as the new logo. Maybe they will use that to contact some of the designers to work out a final Peerplays logo. As for devs, most would rather sit in front of a computer coding than interacting with their community, because frankly many aren't good at communicating. It makes sense and thats why they are devs (creative minds). Same here really. Afterall they used the proffessional team working from a nuclear bunker a major selling point. No news could be good news but even still we want news. There are other ICO's now which are similar like let it ride and BRK etc etc which will land before peerplays. so updates for the community is vital. Unless they now hae the money and we are now less important now as we already gave our money lol |

Please dont accept the current crap based on the low votes. This thread is not the right place to be advertising a design competition the services bitcointalk thread is. also if you pay 1k usd for the current crap you are setting a really bad image for peerplays.
