I don't think that the paper money is facing any competition from cryptocurrency as conventional money can be used offline but crypto can't be used offline. Moreover, crypto are not that popular and its acceptance is also very low so i don't think it will be able to replace paper money anytime soon.

I don't think cryptocurrencies can replace regular currencies simply because crypto don't work offline whereas regular currency does.
