They do know that the house has a higher winning percentage than them gamblers but their mind are looking forward to the lower percentage they have on winning since that will be a high risk, high reward situation. Though we all know the results of this, almost all of them lose and some of them win. It is addictive since it is the most easiest way to earn money, you sit there, you bet your money and hope to win but it dont happen.

I've spent a year in excel simulating trying to find a good strat, and found nothing. Or at least not a golden goose, stuff goes down, goes up, and super long term trends are all down due to edge. A good strat should explode on good results, and than luck pays more. In simulation there is no human touch, its kind of like a formula, and a formula cannot beat gambling, or at least not a simple one. And it's really hard to simulate explosive results, because profits need to be captured. Based on simulation a human touch added to good progressive system might capture some profits, but it might end up being $14 an hour with a bank over 50k, betting 100 bucks per unit. These type of low profits, and such a high entry point is not attractive, and no guarantee of any profits.
Well then you have just failed on probabilistics calculations and how to gamble properly. I have tons of strategies made by myself on excel and they work always when my rolls are ready to use them. By ready i mean when i see my rolls history and predict them, that's how im in a positive side  Also you need to use each strategy with low profits as possible, meaning, high red streaks possibility and low profit overall. Everything above by counting on using a strategy not MORE then 20 minutes or a certain specific roll count. I haven’t thought about it to input my strategies in an excel file and I guess it would really be helpful especially the statistics on how much you have to gamble, how much to win and using the strategy and other stuff because with that data, you could improve the gameplay and that’s awesome. The time constraint is very critical in my opinion. Yes and that's how i profit way more now then before. These data provide me a better / reliable strategies for the future. |

I saw some bought dogecoin before new year, thinking that Chinese will buy it because 2018 - year of a dog. In my opinion, the odds of winning on horse racing is possibly quite low because one has to have a substantial knowledge about the game, horse and rider altogether.

Prediction of anything is not easy, for that you have to have good experience, hard work and to study a lot. I think that horse racing is difficult to predict not impossible. Of course it is not easy but if you work on it very well, you can make correct predictions. Horse racing isn’t much harmful as other games like dice and poker and many more. But there are risks too. Now don’t just say here risks are always around you. I agree with it as well, but we must be dealing with risks that leads us to better ending. Not like gambling where we know it very well to be a loser in coming few hours. Better to choose a good way of risks. You are right. It has some risks but you can reduce the risk that exist in horse racing because it is possible to bet according to your knowledge. There's always risks in terms of the Object that is being bet on. Came in this thread expecting to hear horror stories of how much money people have lost. I am surprised that most people have only lost less than $500, which in the grand scheme of things really isn't that much. Remember to know when to stop, sometimes you have to accept a loss rather than risk putting yourself further into the red. It's definitely a hard skill to learn, but it will save you big time on the long run.
