4001  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 1.37 BTC for 180GH/s on: February 28, 2014, 10:56:07 PM
Quote
The price of AntMiners is falling faster than one could mine with them.  I bought four yesterday at 1.4, today they are 1.37.  At current difficulty one could only mine 0.0237 per day, so it's more profitable to wait until the prices stop dropping than to buy.

Yep, difficulty rises and Bitmain react ... knowing how hard it is to mine these days (does any other vendor do that?).

There HAS to become a point when the old trusty Antminer S1 isn't profitable to buy and mine with.

SO ... Bitmain are a business, and a clever bunch of chaps ... would it not be unreasonable to think they might have a surprise for us all at some stage ... and release a more powerful S2?

It will still be an S1 but from the future....

Dear, friends!
I paid "AntMiner Hosting 2-month" february 21, 2014.
I send message with url, worker and password, but hosting not work!!!
What to do? Huh

Did you actually buy the miners before buying the hosting plan?

They will only host miners you have purchased as far as I know and from what I have heard only sushi does this.

I buy only hosting! (sorry for my english Wink)

Yeah, I don't think you understood correctly.

From what I know (I could be wrong) hosting is only offered for miners that you have bought from them.

4009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Identity Of Satoshi Nakamoto REVEALED! on: February 28, 2014, 01:41:37 PM
To claim that Mark is Satoshi is insane.

There is no way Satoshi would try and hurt his own creation by shutting down the biggest exchange and of course as we can see bringing it's value down.

Besides, Mark is a greedy pig.
If he was Satoshi, wouldn't he wanna claim his throne?

Also, I definitely doubt he has the wits to be the Bitcoin creator.

I DOUBT MARK purposely intended to hurt bitcoin....

So he didn't purposely rip people off their coins?

He knew very well what the reaction to his actions would be.

Guys I am sure that Bitmain didn't do this intentionally.

Are your Ants delivered by DHL btw?

DHL is a b*tch when it comes to customs & tax.

Anyways, I am sure Bitmain will look into your matter and probably compensate.
They might give you coupons to make up.
Maybe not.

Who knows?

4012  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer does not power on on: February 28, 2014, 10:15:19 AM
Your title is a bit misleading.

Your problem has nothing to do with power.

Your problem is your network settings.

Make sure that you have the right settings and then connect to your Ant.

Remember most Ants delivered lately come with an IP: 192.168.2.xx

4013  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: February 28, 2014, 08:34:55 AM

4014  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: February 27, 2014, 02:26:33 PM

4015  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Is there a way to test chips before placing on board? on: February 27, 2014, 10:37:07 AM
So yeah, is there a way to test ASIC chips before their placed on the board?

And if there is, what kind of tests are performed on it?

PS: As you can tell I am not a techie, so take it easy Smiley

4016  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Wasp Project Collective Information thread. on: February 27, 2014, 08:41:42 AM
megabigpower.com just added chips for $15 each,    2700 available....   still refuse to price 25ghs hashing boads according to difficulty and other miners on the market.....     just ordered 2 more antminers with the money i had ear marked for bitfury expansion....

 Cool

Ya 15$ is too high really. Was hoping to see a proper discount. We don't need to order chips we have enough to prototype a Wasp after we are done with the A1. If more chips are still available in March we will probably have a BitFury Wasp available but not sure how many people will be interested in building those. Antminer is certainly cleaning up. Shipping as soon as you pay the way it has to be.

Have you guys tried getting your hands on Bitmain Antminer chips?Huh
It would be nice if you could use them in your project as well Smiley
4017  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: February 26, 2014, 09:56:56 PM
Please Bitmain!

If your deafult shipping is Ups don't ship with this fuc...ing Dhl.

Ups is fine here but Dhl suxx...

Same here.
They refuse to deliver to my house while it's only 2Km away from their "coverage".

4019  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / [QUESTION] Building a miner - What kind of knowledge is required? on: February 26, 2014, 03:34:18 PM
Hi guys,

I am looking to find out what kind of knowledge is required to build a miner from scratch.

What is a manufacturer team composed of?

Can someone please provide me with a full breakdown of what is required to manufacture ASIC miners?

I am not looking to start manufacturing my own miners, I wouldn't wanna go there even if I could afford to.

This is for a small research I am doing.

Thank you Wink

So, still no news about my 16th February order...

Pay Details
Pay    2.9 BTC
Pay Confirm    2.9 BTC
Date    2014-02-16 16:06:29

No shipping update today, not like the last 3 deliveries and now the price is lower. So what was the advantage of paying on the 16th?? Ugh I think they skipped over the 16th orders. Waiting till end of week before head explodes.

What is the deal BITMAIN??

Be patient.

I ordered on the 16th as well.
Got an email today from them stating that DHL wouldn't recognize my post code so my package was rejected, which is normal because DHL does not deliver to my house, I have to pick it up from their offices.

Anyways, the point is, they started shipping 16th Feb orders.
