Just take experience from what has been happening in some countries that has placed ban on bitcoin so far in the past. None has succeeded as their has been fights coming from all angle in support of human rights and certain specific right which are been denied due to the government recent ban on cryptocurency investment.
My thoughts exactly. While there are countries like Iraq and China that has banned Bitcoin, India has been placing restrictions on certain bitcoin companies and service providers. What the government has in its agenda is to regulate any business that involves Bitcoin. The latest note from the finance ministry of India states that Bitcoin and its ilk are illegal in India and the government is looking at legal avenues to impose the ban on the use of the cryptocurrency. There is a doubt that the government was a right in their decision to put a ban in some countries, but there are certain loopholes in all banning measures to ensure the rightful citizen has access to financial services. In most cases, investors in countries have gone to places which were not affected by the ban to have the green light to invest, therefore giving rise to third party involvement and corruption.

Balances in mbtc or bits gives me the creeps. I just prefer btc or usd/eur.
With bits I always calculate wring and start betting you big. :-(
I know what you mean. But I think that's the point. This is why some casinos prefer mbtc and bits for the denomination.

<snip>. How to get rid of gambling addiction?
There are no treatment for this illness yet, but the only sure way to make life more simple while you gamble is by having the needed control for these games. If you search through the forum, there will be thousands of threads around the forum that seek for such treatment and replies has it that none is currently available at the moment. Learn how to have total control while gamble and if you can't then quit the gamble world for your good. Whilst gambling addiction may be a purely psychological issue, if it is impacting your life in any way it could be time to seek professional help and support. As with most psychological issues, treatment is likely to involve cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). CBT can help understand why gambling happens, make decisions that prevent it from happening again, and learn how to stop gambling.

I can listen to anything from country to disco! I have recently gotten into metal and listening to bands like Motorhead and Venom. I also love the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon album. I love anything that is really good music.

If they decide to ban the cryptocurrency it'll just come back stronger as the alternatives would be worse. A strong community would come back in its place to support this currency in all circumstances. That's why the probability of legalization is much more likely than ban. Its far better to adopt the future than fearing it.

It' s part of the game. In sports, you never know what is going to happen. And if you're going to place bets, you can bet it'll be a roller-coaster ride. And that's where, for us, we love the game. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) At the end of the day, you would realize that everything involves mostly luck. Even if the team that you are betting are the reigning champion or the dominating team, there will always be that chance that the weakest team may be able to defeat them. I have to agree with this. With so many unknowns in the sport, it's easy to see why you'd want to have a contingency plan at all times. Your full focus should be on the result of your choices, but you should be prepared for all possible outcomes. Whatever you do, make sure you are still up to date with the latest sports news and can make the necessary moves to win.

There is high hope that the market will take its bullish run again, I do not want to fall into fomo but xrp had a long time without a bullish turn, it is likely that the emotions on the part of xrp investors will grow again and continue to drive the price.
Are you certain about that? And what if Ripple loses its case against the SEC? Do you believe institutional investors would disregard this? I don't see how anyone can forecast what will happen to the XRP price in the long run before the current legal matter is settled. I dont think ripple will lose this case againts sec. Why ? Because if ripple charged by sec because it is claimed to be securities token, many ICO will get the same charged especially ethereum. Ethereum was an ICO project and maybe the first Succeeded ICO in crypto history. Since the SEC has already stated that bitcoin and Ethereum are not securities due to their decentralized nature, I would not equate other projects to XRP in this case.

I have opened this topic so that I can explain better and refer to it when I report to the moderator. I guess it helped because his posts were removed shortly thereafter.
In case you have some questions about spammers, not sure what to do or you just wanna report some suspicious behavior, you can also use : [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers constantly. Thread is maybe not as active as it used to be, but plenty of experienced spambusters there that can help you. Thank you so much, Rikafip. I had seen the thread before, but I didn't do a thorough investigation into what it is all about. I thought it was just for club members. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Was for it over a year ago, still think it's a good idea now. There is a large amount of LN discussion elsewhere on the internet, but here it's just in a few threads. With a dedicated sub section I really think that it will have a lot more activity.
-Dave
Getting more activity depends on more people asking questions about it, and so far we are not seeing that. mprep already said he's not going to add another section unless their topics fill most of the page of a board. I can count the number of LN topics on page 1 of Dev&Tech board on one hand. But still, it still surprises me how few people know about LN in general. When I mention it in an unrelated conversation, some ask if it's some kind of alt currency while others think it's an unofficial bitcoin fork. I believe that a dedicated LN subsection would greatly contribute to a better understanding of LN protocol.

It's undenyable that a correction is around the corner. I personally felt the correction would start at the end of March given those who bought in in December wouldn't be seeing the gains they were hoping for and so would start dumping by now. Perhaps those investors are more resilient in which case it may be a slow and steady decline over many months.
Or maybe we'll never see a correction below $50k again? Just look at the chart for the last month; we've already had a few steep drops, but support has always held above the $50k level. The trend, seems to me, is still bullish.

@decodx You don't have to report each and every post/thread of that user. If they all break the same rule, you can just report one, and in the feedback you write something like:
This user has created 16 low-quality threads within 2 hours. All of them are spam promoting his own website. Please check his post history and delete all threads created on (date and time the threads were created here).
From your report admins will be able to see that his only goal is to promote some website and delete all posts were rules were broken.
Thanks Pmalek, that's what I did. I have opened this topic so that I can explain better and refer to it when I report to the moderator. I guess it helped because his posts were removed shortly thereafter.

I am sure if you study, if you practice enough to learn how to read body language, it is probably one of the greatest treasures that you can own. If I get that sort of skill and I also get to understand how it works with players I will be able to have a good edge on my own.
I don't know if that's going to happen, but that's one of the goals I have.
Its attainable! but it would really be requiring lots of time involvement or experiencing it out because reading up body language isnt something that you can master out I agree. Even dogs can learn to read body language to some degree. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) It's amazing the level of connection they can establish with humans! People often think their dog understands English, when in fact he doesn't. He understands their meaning.

Okay, that's a load of crap. I'm not saying that bots can't trade on just about any exchange (via a publicly accessible API), but I don't see what's strange about that? There are many commercial and even some free bots available, so if you know how, you can do it yourself. What's the problem?

But what's good today is this bull run is entirely different and can no longer compare in the past bull.

Is poker a game of skill or chance? Of course, it is both, but the question is whether one is more important than the other. Luck certainly plays an important role, but skill is important too. People who insist that poker is primarily about chance are effectively saying that skill is somehow insignificant in the scheme of things. Although that may be the way some people play poker, the simple truth is that you can always learn to play better. Everyone has the chance to do this, as far as I can tell.
I would lean more on skill because even if you have a really shitty probability landing on you, you can still bluff your way into winning the round. The reason that they think that it is a game of chance is because they only see the shuffle of cards and not how the players try to play mind games with other players, in short the people who say that poker is a game of chance are the mediocre ones. I am sure if you study, if you practice enough to learn how to read body language, it is probably one of the greatest treasures that you can own. If I get that sort of skill and I also get to understand how it works with players I will be able to have a good edge on my own. I don't know if that's going to happen, but that's one of the goals I have.
