4001  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The future of exchanges in the cryptospace on: December 22, 2020, 06:30:02 AM
I've just posted to a relative topic.

Thread: New rules from FinCEN

For those traders that have been doing and fine with KYC on certain exchanges that requires it to increase their limits, there could no longer be a problem to them and they can easily adopt. Especially if they're from the US.

I am afraid that in the future, the acceptance of the coins withdrawn from each of these exchanges might be different depending where they came from. Grey exchange coins might be considered dirty coins.
And it has to be recorded and needed for the compliance of what FinCen is going to implement.
4002  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New rules from FinCEN on: December 22, 2020, 05:24:43 AM
This could be the counterpart of the adoption of institutions. Bitcoin will no longer be the same where we can transact freely without any regulations that we're going to think of or at least for those countries that are affected by this new rules by FinCen.

If these laws are adopted in the United States, then after a while all major exchanges will use these rules.
And all other countries that are crypto-friendly would might do the same.
4003  Economy / Gambling / Re: Staking at CoinPoker on: December 22, 2020, 03:20:57 AM
I am not so sure if they are willing to be under with you if they are indeed profitable in their own as they will just play with their own not unless you are willing to offer some attractive offers here.

You should also drop your full requirements here and the full details of the reward or payment that you are willing to give to them, in this case maybe their will be someone who will be willing to work with you. Just a little bit reminder, be careful with scammers.
There could be poker players that would check into this. Those players that don't want to spend their very own penny as they play poker and is fine with the percentage and distribution that they'll get with OP as the chosen player wins. Although it would be hard for OP to find the right guy.

Really, i don't expect him to find what he is asking for .
Yes, that's likely. Still, good luck if someone would agree with your terms OP. This is like hiring a good poker player.

why on coinpoker? what about other sites like pokerstars and ggpoker?
Any thoughts too OP, if you could answer this question.
4004  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football fan token impact from $PSG $BAR $ATM $JUV on crypto gambling community on: December 21, 2020, 10:29:16 AM
There was a topic/thread that was made related to this. If you want to get some ideas of what some of the people of forum think, you can have a visit to this thread.

Thread: Usefulness of Football Clubs Fan Token in the Soccer industry
4005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Avoid US Based Exchanges Now? on: December 21, 2020, 09:23:49 AM
There's no need to worry if you're not a US resident then just don't use those exchanges that you're not good with their terms. If they implement KYC because there are news that they're about to become strict with its implementation then use exchanges that are not scope of that rules.

But there would be traders that are good in that terms and wouldn't mind following it. Just as it, we can mind ourselves what we prefer in exchanges. We've got plenty of choice so you stick to what you want and avoid what you want to avoid.
4006  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2021 Bitcoin Cycle(Bullrun) vs 2017 Bitcoin Cycle(Bullrun) on: December 21, 2020, 08:17:28 AM
2017 = bull run made up of Tether minting + tons of ICOs having hundreds of millions of sales. And by this year, we haven't seen it go through a bottom.

2020 = went through a bottom, the bearish trend on March. No more tons of ICOs but there's this defi but it's not that hyped as the ICOs before. For the minting, Tether still printed money. More institutional backups and real investors, no longer built on hype.

2021 = it's first heard that we might see this as the longest bull run in the history and could run up to 2021. But with this comparison, some would expect that a strong bearish trend would come by this year.

You get to see the stock to flow model and many are holding onto it.
4007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: prediction betting platform pros and cons? on: December 21, 2020, 07:04:39 AM
It's like the bitcoin options that you mostly see popping ads on Google and YouTube videos. My take on it is that it's just like the casual guessing of the price for which it enhances your predicting skills because if you're serious with it, you'll use analysis and study on the market that you're about to predict.
That's is your own aspects of predictions that's more preferable to you, there are numerous number of people that are really good into politics and science predictions like that of the presidential assembly and cabinets analysis which sometime they gets it correct, to me this kind of predictions has to do with study of human behavioural patterns and approach to something in other to win, but the disadvantage as others had pointed out is the longevity of the final results taking months, that's why there are sports betting has many gamblers than politics, entertainments, science and others.
I'm talking of the bitcoin price prediction. And the other one that you've described is about the predictions in politics. Although the same game style that you only have to predict which is going to be the outcome of the chosen subject that you're predicting.

In predicting bitcoin's price, it's much quicker than politics. You're right with predicting election results such as presidential race, you really had to know background and certain factors if the candidate that you're about to bet is strong in many places of the country.

Btw, we can have it both, we predict bitcoin's price just like the options and we can also play the predictions through election results.
4008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn’t the correction happened yet? Or has it? on: December 21, 2020, 05:58:15 AM
I’m perplexed, the price keeps going up and no correction. Can someone explain or is it boiled down to no one knows when and anything can happen?
No one does really know when the bigger correction might occur. We've seen it hovering from $23,200 - $24,000. Just take it as the typical market that it's volatile and no can have the right pattern if it will correct the soonest or it will remain stable from where it is right now.

I'm starting to see predictions that we'll go through the same bear market as 2018. But that's them and even though fundamentals have been changed and it's different this time, they're thinking that the same correction would come again. There's always the both sides and opposition for predictions. The important part is you take profit if you need it and stay hodling.
4009  Economy / Economics / Re: David Rosenber: Bitcoin is in a 'massive bubble' on: December 20, 2020, 08:53:47 AM
2017 is a bubble, we've heard it. 2020 is also a bubble and other future rise of bitcoin in the next years is also a bubble. That's what we'll hear from these "experts and economists".

He's doubting the supply limit of bitcoin @ 21 million. We would even see it hit the limit and whatever will happen next to it. Probably, he haven't read what satoshi read about reaching the supply limit. He don't know that transactions will continue and miners will still earn through confirming transactions.

And if bitcoin hits another all-time high just next year, he'd probably say the same thing about it being a bubble and so on. These people can always change their statements and say that they're liking the trend and it's the new modern asset that everyone should get into.

For pros and cons, I don't have any of them until I've used them and sees some issues that I don't agree and agree with. But for now, the most important part of this is that you're on the right prediction platform and they have enough reputation to take care of their bettors/predictors.
4011  Economy / Economics / Re: Cboe Plans to Launch Cryptocurrency Indexes! on: December 20, 2020, 06:09:01 AM
It's true that this will not bring liquidity. But it will bring more institutions players and this could bring a longer bullish trend.

The other positivity is the attention from more conservative players and media.
It could bring bullish trend in the sense that the "institutions" are in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies but with the actual trading, that doesn't really contribute to the whole market. I agree that it will bring positivity and there's one the same that I can compare to this;

And that's the news about PayPal allowing their users to buy bitcoin on their platform but you don't actually buy it. Although it's like that, the news brought positivity to the whole crypto market and added help to the bullish trend that we've got.
4012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not everyone will agree with Bitcoin, you should know this! on: December 19, 2020, 09:54:42 AM
You shouldn't mind people like him and Warren Buffett has the same thought about bitcoin and it's much more than that. It doesn't matter if these well known people have their common about disliking bitcoin. They're not the only influential people that we can count on. We had the institutions and they're not ignoring it anymore.

What really matters is that we have our own stash. We're piling and getting ready if a bigger uptrend comes. Just don't mind those people and only mind yourself and keep stacking while you can, mind your business and let the HODL principle continues!
4013  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏈 NITROGEN SPORTS | NFL Survivor Pools with over 30 BTC* in GTD prizes! 🏈 on: December 19, 2020, 06:50:40 AM
I think you should really try to build your reputation before advertising. There are always problems between bookmakers and customers, it is precisely how you deal with them.
They are aware of those issues and I agree to you that they should build themselves again. Those trust rating feed backs, they need to reassess it and at least give the best to the customers that are dealing issues within their sports book and clear themselves with it.

It's a long time since they've been operating and once before, they're one of the most common bookie. But with those problems that has been experienced by their customers affected their reputation very bad.
4014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Like OKEx And Huobi, Another Chinese Exchange Has Been Suspended on: December 19, 2020, 05:45:23 AM
Whats the wrong with these chinese exchanges? Sad Kiss
It should not be the Chinese exchange site but the correct question should be redirected to china's government. The government was not giving a clear answer about how they are doing it.
So many times china's government was always interrogating the exchange site's founder. This looks very suspicious IMO.

It looks like the government wanna try to get something from the exchange site. Maybe china seeks for the personal data from the exchange sites.
The Chinese government has always been too strict for protocols regarding businesses like this. There's no exact reason why they're detaining people like the CEO of that exchange unless there's a connection to illegal matters that guy has been part of. Coordination and cooperation is also one reason why they want to put him in arrest to ask him what the government wants from him directly.

There is censorship in China and most businesses should cooperate with the Chinese government. I think that's one reason why they're arresting and investigating CEOs, businesses and people that are not willing to cooperate with what their law says.
4015  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [ALEART] Scam Aave Wallet asking for private key on: December 19, 2020, 04:24:38 AM
Erase google playstore from your mind, do not use this platform for downloading any apps that have something to do with money and assets because they can be fake, google team aren't doing anything about it, even few fake apps are been reported but google never took them down
Yup. It is advisable that don't ever download any unknown source of crypto related app on Google Playstore. You're likely to download the false and fake one without knowing that it's not supported officially. What OP did is correct, for newbies who have such the same curiosity and directly downloading apps on Google Playstore, if that app like for Aave has an official telegram channel or a social media account that you can ask, don't hesitate to ask them.

Be also aware that even the social media accounts and telegram channels, scammers are also there. Visit the official website first to see what are their official accounts. Any wallet, any exchange app, defi app and others, be mindful before downloading any of them.
4016  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cionbase IPO going publick any buyers? on: December 18, 2020, 07:02:34 AM
There's also another thread that's made for this news: Coinbase Files For IPO, Hits $12 Billion Valuation.

The bull run of bitcoin will make this IPO make noise for them easily. Did they have planned this launching date long time ago? or it just happened by surprise because of the bull run. Whatever it is, they're doing it at the right time and there will be a lot of investors would be quickly joining the IPO.
4017  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The pain of trading in popular exchanges. Binance frooze during the BTC spike on: December 18, 2020, 05:53:39 AM
It was the same exchange that had from problem for withdrawal through this thread, 2 days ago: Impossible to withdraw from Binance. The overwhelming demand can't be catered by their server and they really have to improve their facility in case another spike comes.

They should have thought of this even before a bull run comes and they should learn from other exchanges that have faced problems during times like this. No matter what issue we experience with them, they know that we're going back to them again once they've fixed the issues. I know that they can do better this time and won't allow these issues to happen again.
4018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Please let me know about any online casinos or sportsbooks on: December 18, 2020, 04:45:15 AM
You are in the right section to know more about those casinos and sportsbook that you want to take a review. And you only need to go through each of the threads here in Gambling. That's generous of you if you're making a review for free and the review must be made honestly because you didn't do it with pay.

And of course in which sport event do you like to bet on more?
I'm mostly following the e-sports and to be specific with Dota 2. There are a lot of sportsbook that have this game on their list and although most of them isn't like with football, basketball and boxing. Yet, it's one of my favorite event to follow and bet on.

4019  Other / Archival / Re: ... on: December 18, 2020, 03:32:25 AM
No. It just can't replace what we use but it will be the other option that we have. Government won't trust bitcoin as what we're advocating. But who knows if there will be one world government and one world currency implementation and that currency would be bitcoin. IMO, it is just a dream.

And what everyone is adopting for bitcoin is its nature as a volatile investment and store of value. It is a speculative asset and others only see it as it is and can't accept the fact that it is becoming a store of value.
4020  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockchain.com 502 Error? on: December 18, 2020, 12:44:01 AM
It is also working fine on my end. If it happens that there is a slow down on their end, it should be fixed by now. When bitcoin surges, most bitcoin wallet services and exchanges are getting tremendous traffic.

The market has been calmed for a while now and this error shouldn't appear anymore to anyone unless it is a personal problem on your end as stated above through your browser or isp.
