4001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 05, 2020, 10:21:19 AM
So regardless, it is up to casino gamblers, if they wanted to go and take the risk of exposing themselves in the casino, although there are plans to limit the crowd.

Casino gamblers are risk takers, no doubt they are willing to risk themselves just to play in a casino, they have been waiting for this opportunity to go back on their normal routine, so its expected that a lot of casino goers will play once PAGCOR will start to operate. Government own this agency, they know for sure the risk, so I won't question their decision if they re-opens.
4002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin donation vs Bank donations on: June 05, 2020, 06:28:04 AM
Bank does not have a public ledger since they always protect the privacy of their clients depositors, therefore we will not know if the amount was move or not, and even if those people whom we entrust our donation will give us a picture or a copy of the bank statement, it's still not 100% reliable as we can't verify it and nowadays, pictures can easily be fake through photoshop or whatever apps that will be use.

In blockchain, it's a system that no one can tampered, so it's more transparent and I trust bitcoin donation for that.
4003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What type of gambling do you want? on: June 04, 2020, 12:40:18 PM
I actually want a lot of games but if I only have to choose one, I'd choose sports betting.
This kind of game is quite challenging to me as I believe I can develop my skills and be a professional gambler someday, though I am not really convince that I have the skills since it's been years already that I still have no improvement, but what I like is challenge, so I will keep trying.
4004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: June 04, 2020, 11:47:20 AM
I have never recorded, because for me gambling is a pastime and relaxation method, every time I bet within the range that I can bear, so there is no need to record.
Most of the gamblers are treating gambling as their pastime or a way to entertain themselves, and you are right they don't need to record anything as long as they are responsible enough with the amount they gamble, and it should always be not beyond what they can't afford to lose.

But if gambling is regarded as an investment, I think it should be recorded in a table

Sports betting for me could be a form of investing in yourself since it's a game where you can use your skills and when you can use your skills, that means you will not rely on your luck and you can be consistent.
4005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 04, 2020, 11:13:09 AM
I'm glad you guys are talking about Calvin, we really miss him, didn't we?
The long suspension has to be a lesson learned for him, he will have to remain aggressive in the floor but he needs to cool down and play smart every time in the floor, more eyes are looking at him when he comes back as he has a history of fight in the PBA, and being a PBA player, one should be a model to everyone, especially their fans who are always watching them in the court, and even outside the court.
4006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 03, 2020, 10:40:15 PM
I don't know the urge they feel but in this current situation, it is not necessary for PAGCOR to reopen. It will just give unnecessary harm for the people who surrounds and enters in PAGCOR. Afaik, our current status in transmission stats is not yet good. That's why we should not be complacent because wave 2 might come if we will take a wrong move in this pandemic (I hope not so).

Though it is government owned corporation, I think that it is better for them to create an online platform for their customers that risking the lives of people. Besides, there are many online games and there is already transition from reality to virtual. Just like in our education system in this year.

I believe the Philippines need some funds as they have been releasing billions of pesos for the Social Amelioration Program or SAP.

According to the news : DBM releases P199.975-Billion for DSWD Social Amelioration Program

They need to recover that amount.
4007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Choice To Stay Longer Online Or Casinos on: June 03, 2020, 10:21:21 PM
Although it is enticing to play from the comfort of your home, I would rather play in a physical casino solely because of the social interaction that you don't get in an online chat with "avatars".
Plus you get free drinks and a crowd when you're playing big time  Grin

Perhaps social interaction is the only reason people are drawn to offline casinos.
The whole point of getting pleasure from a person is tied to social interaction with others, this brings us more pleasure than simply winning online.
In addition, you are right, when playing with avatars you feel your loneliness, there is no human closeness.

Everyone can choose what gives them the real entertainment, that's why we have online and physical casinos, and not only that, we also have different kind of games in a casino, which only says this is intended to give everyone a satisfaction when they are gambling. However, since we are facing a pandemic right now, (for 3 months already - more or less), we need to adopt with the new normal and that requires precautions every time we are into a crowded places, ,like a casino of course. As for me, I have no problem with online casinos, I can enjoy it all day but experience wise, physical casinos gives an extraordinary satisfaction.
4008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The new ICOs? on: May 31, 2020, 12:56:01 PM
I thought ICO is already dead, I haven't seen a successful ICO recently and as long as the IEO continues to be popular, I guess people will fully migrate to this way of crowdsale investing. I am not familiar with "BloxRoute ", but what a project usually say and promise is not easily seen in actual practice as most of them failed.

according to this post - https://medium.com/bloxroute/bloxroute-raises-10m-to-date-to-solve-the-blockchain-scalability-bottleneck-eb9ce254dfd2

Quote
bloXroute raises $10M to date to solve the blockchain scalability bottleneck

let see if they'll suceed, a lot of ICO projects that raised even more than that but until now they failed to show some good progress.
4009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble to escape your problem? on: May 31, 2020, 12:32:11 PM
I'm not gambling anymore but I don't think that I will do this kind of thing when I have a problem.

Maybe for some then they see gambling as a way to escape their problem but I know that most of them will end up losing their money as they can't get their focus because they have a problem that they need to face after gambling. For me, this isn't a good idea to do that you will use gambling as a tool to escape your problem because the opposite can happen. Instead of escaping the problem with the help of gambling, gambling will just add up to your problems.

Everyone have different ways of entertaining themselves, me either, I don't gamble when I have a problem but I do drink with my friends of course since it's more fun when you have someone to talk to than drinking alone, and it's opposite when I'm gambling as I like to do it alone, just to make sure I can concentrate and I can make the best decision.
4010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you donate in a casino? on: May 31, 2020, 12:05:32 PM

I think one of the best ways is donating your funds to the people on the poorest of the poor instead of the religion I'm not against on any religion infect there are one of the next highest market earners because the number of their supporters and people believes on them.

That depends on the person donating, people who donated money through religious institution are also donating in other ways or directly to the people they like to help, they just have enough funds so they are looking for difference channels to distribute the donation.

3- Now I think maybe Bucks could win because Lakers is a bit older with Lebron and Danny Green and all, whereas Bucks is younger, they could play a lot better with youth whereas Lakers could have a bit of rust when they come back.

Yeah, probably a bit of rust, but still have the experience here. Maybe around 2-3 games to shake the cob webs and they are going to be back around 80%-90%. And as long as James is playing and leading the way for the Lakers it will be very hard to beat them. They have more depth and experience as pointed out by @Reid. Let's not forgot about Dwight as well, he has been in the finals against the Lakers and Kobe in 2009 in Orlando Magic uniform.

I don't want to make into conclusion easily, Bucks has always been the favorites but there's a lot of teams in the East that could beat them.

Just like the last season, they are very good in the regular season but it will be different in the playoffs.
Also, why do we have to assume that the Lakers will advance, we still have the Clippers, Rockets, and other teams that has a chance of beating the Lakers.
4012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Betting this June? on: May 31, 2020, 07:25:22 AM
more sports events will follow especially those matches that only need 2 persons inside the ring or court. if nothing extraordinary happens after that fight, for sure they will set up more events. but they should avoid large crowds or audience. better be safe than sorry!

I am hoping and confident at the same time that this will be a successful event.
This is not the first fight, in other countries, they manage to host a successful boxing fight with crowd, this fight does not have a crowd.

Anyway, if you have information about Inoue vs Casimero fight, please update in this thread, I hope that fight will be scheduled this next month too.

Hoping for this too, as a Filipino, I would love to see Casimero fight an undefeated boxer, he is coming from an impressive win, so I guess he'll be able to give a good fight to Inoue..I am not sure he will win against Inoue as the monster is also fast and he has the power, in fact he is the favorite but I trust my man.
4013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you donate in a casino? on: May 31, 2020, 06:45:33 AM
Yeah mostly we can assure that the money we give for religious group will go to the right person,
Mostly because we can't trust them all, some people uses the religion to scam people, and in our country religious activities that generate funds are non taxable, so this is being use by people with bad intention.

But there is a trend right now in my country where streamers conduct a charity streams so that they can donate to a less fortunate and all things are well documented together with a video with the donations given to the people so I think this is one of the innovative way for people to donate since this is quite convenience to the people who doesn't want to go out and want to help.

I've known one streamer which has million of followers gained in a very short period of time which I  believe is not really helping the people.
Just found recently that youtube superchat can be use to ask for donation and mostly OFW are the victims as they don't really see what is happening in the country, sometimes video can be deceiving, you see they are distributing the donation but it could be just a stage one.
4014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 30, 2020, 11:54:39 PM
I don't know about Dennis Espino, maybe those who are watching PBA a long time ago have seen him played, I just started to watch consistently like 5 years ago I guess.

Me either, but I agree with Asi that Fajardo is not hard to guard if you know how to do it, Fajardo is very predictable, I saw in some of his games where he was guarded by Greg Slaughter, his production was reduce, he just need to be guarded with a tall center, unfortunately, most of the PBA centers now are not as tall as him, so they need to double him and that opens up the good outside shooters of the PBA.

The strategy of the with Fajardo as the center can easily be predictable too, but no team has stop their system yet.
4015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is getting rich quickly! on: May 30, 2020, 12:49:35 PM
Obviously you make profit in just a very short term
I see short term - need high capital and it's more safe
long term  - any capital     + Not investing in
                                                   BTCBitcoin
another coin like Pi that have good future

I don't believe in safe investment because everything in crypto when we are talking about investing is risky. So regardless of the strategy you have, either short term or long term, you can't guarantee that you'll make profit easily, if I may ask, have you made a profit already investing in a certain coin?
4016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 30, 2020, 12:15:50 PM

In addition, we can also make Mark Caguioa as a good example, he was once a star player of his team, but now he only played limited minutes but he can still make a difference in his team, that's why they call him, "mark the spark".

Absolutely, he is a great example, at 40 years old he can still play and deliver, I noticed that if the starters of the Ginebra Gins are lacking energy, coach Tim Cone will try to experiment by putting him in the line up, and he never fail Tim Cone as he can be productive with his limited minutes.
4017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you donate in a casino? on: May 29, 2020, 11:16:34 PM
If you could put a poll for us to vote, that would be more visible to know the voice of the majority.

Personally I have not donated in a casino yet since the casinos that I have been playing with does not have that kind of feature, and I also think that it's wise if I would personally donate the money to people that are in need. I am no rich, so what I can help is just a small amount but to ensure that the recipient will receive the donation, that's my goal.

As of this late, I was able to provide some help or donation as a lot of people are affected in our areas, especially my relatives, so they get the help from me.
I think a casino with an allocation for charity program from their income would be nice, but don't expect gamblers will really donate, just get the donation out from the amount they lose.
4018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 29, 2020, 10:49:00 PM
Age doesn't matter,  Smiley

actually we have to see if a player can still perform based on what is expected on him, if Fajardo can still deliver his MVP performance, then let's forget about how hold he is, a lot of players that is older than him, maybe not in PBA but they can still play with their full potential.

once again I like to repeat, its not about the age but the overall performance within the game.
4019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is getting rich quickly! on: May 29, 2020, 10:30:00 PM
Obviously you make profit in just a very short term, that's less than a minute in the example you given, however, you are only looking at one side of the coin here, investors will not find a risk in investing here if they don't believe they could also suffer a lose.

SMB goal: 8 PH Cup titles, 8 MVP for June Mar

Quote
SAN Miguel is now the owner of five straight PBA Philippine Cup championships.

So 3 more wins, do you think SMB can do this? And it seems like they really like Fajardo to lead the Filipino cup as the 8 wins will also be equivalent to 8 MVP of Fajardo if they will make it.

If PBA resumes now, and No Fajardo, so probably they are not expecting their team would win.  Roll Eyes
