4021  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 06, 2023, 07:33:15 PM
Just a thought...  Could you imagine if he took the other side of that bet by accident?  Imagine the pain as he pressed the button only to realize he'd made a mistake and bet against impossible odds...  The horror and rush of emotions...  Then to find out you just won hundreds of millions of dollars through the mistake.  That would have been absolutely epic.  Probably enough to give the guy a heart attack.  Still, a click of a button only an inch the other way and it could have been life changing for the good instead of the bad.  What a story that would have been.
4022  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Verify your funded items*Cant HoDL if you ain’t GoTL* on: February 06, 2023, 07:15:22 PM
I don’t think verifying funding is really the issue to be honest. Are you peeling the collectibles you get to make sure that the private key underneath matches the public key with the funds? If not, you’re still trusting the maker and even if it did, you’re trusting that someone won’t pull a Yogg and empty everything. The bottom line is that no matter how cautious you are, if you buy a loaded collectible from someone, they can rug you. All you can do is try to base your trust decisions on the best available information and in the case of Yogg, people need to have higher standards for who they trust.

Well that's probably why you load your coins with fake 'seats' from your own ponzi scam, right? This post is so fuckin ironic, I get a belly laugh...

As for yogg - what 'higher standards' do you mean/imply? His rep was still better than yours, and his project was way better than yours too (So both were/are ponzis either way). Roll Eyes

Now go shitpost for stake elsewhere, nobody here values your opinion anymore, they are just too pussy unlike me to say so... Grin

I've never rugged anyone (I have an offer to buy every NastyFans seat issued), nor do I run a ponzi (I donate all profits from coins and revenue from mining to a community organization and am currently the 3rd most trusted user on this site), and the seats that nonnakip issued for NastyFans are very much real (they will likely outlive you, like they already have a majority of those who have called it a scam over the last decade+).  Maybe this poor ability to judge makers is why you just lost your BTC savings to Yogg's scam that you were promoting to others here?  Do you take any responsibility for your role in that scam or even feel bad for the role you played?  Of course not, you want other people to donate to help you recover some money for your poor personal decisions.  This pattern of you blaming others for your decisions and expecting others to compensate you for them is concerning.

I don't think people here are pussies.  I think they have respect for those that came before them and did great work to innovate and grow this community.  You on the other hand promote scams, spread FUD about honest projects that existed before you knew what Bitcoin was, and continue to try to damage the reputations of honest people who work hard to help users here.

If people choose to ignore my opinion, that's their loss.  Not everyone has access to someone with my level of experience in this field.

^ I wouldn’t get too comfortable with Durant on the Nets… Stephen A Smith is reporting that he’s heard rumors of negotiations between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets involving a trade of Kevin Durant for Jaylen Brown. It’s definitely possible for all sorts of reasons. KD wants to be in Boston, Jaylen wants to be the star of his team, KD wants out of Brooklyn, trade deadline approaching… We could have another big Nets trade today!
4024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 06, 2023, 02:11:17 PM
Reports are saying that the Cavaliers have removed Kevin Love from their rotation. Speculation is that he may be on the trading block. He’s been playing great this year but he is getting older… I’m not sure where would be a good landing spot for him, but the Cavs have been playing so well maybe they’re trying to make a run this year and think they could do better than Love. They are pretty stacked with big guys already.
4025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 05, 2023, 08:37:57 PM
That would be a great deal for the Lakers if that happens but usually, we get to see these trades that are favoring the team that will be left or traded for.
This is an exciting developing story and if the rumors are true then there's an increased chance for the Lakers to be seen continuing to play together with Lebron but, it's on them to do the deal.

What might be the offer that will earn the interest of Nets management, aside from they will release Kyrie and his drama I'm not sure if they will take WB alone, like what you mentioned.

The team will ask for something that will benefit them in order to release their assets,
unless that is okay with the trade offer, then maybe it will happen. Kyrie is asking for it
and the management will take a look at all the offers that they might get to every interested
teams.
Well, look at the surprising news that we have. We thought that Iriving will be going with the Lakers but no, he'll go with the Dallas Mavericks helping Luka. The other details about the trade are on the article.

Props to Mark Cuban for making this happen. You can always count on him to do something crazy. I look forward to reading more about the details of this deal and more so to the drama that come from it and how Mark Cuban chooses to handle it. I get the feeling he won’t put up with Kyrie’s nonsense and will be airing out their dirty laundry in public. If so, this could be news gold for a long time to come.
4026  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: February 05, 2023, 07:45:05 PM
A new video going around on twitter shows the beta production model of the cybertruck turning using its 4-wheel steering capabilities. Pretty cool. Elon even responded to the video that the Cybertruck is a difficult truck to build, but that production will in fact start this year. Very cool to think about. While I still don’t believe I’ll own one this year, I do have some hope for the summer of 2024, maybe more likely Christmas of 2024.
4027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 05, 2023, 05:22:14 PM
The Kyrie situation seemed like it was nearly a done deal between the Nets and Lakers but as usual Kyrie has figured out a way to make everything harder for everyone. Reports are that the Lakers and Nets nearly had a deal done but Kyrie is demanding a 4-year contract and the Lakers were only willing to offer him a 2-year deal. I think with how toxic Kyrie has been on his last 3 teams, he should take the shorter deal and prove himself…
4028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On Ordinals: Where do you stand? on: February 05, 2023, 02:01:12 AM
My take on Ordinals is that it’s awesome a new project on the Bitcoin blockchain is getting so much notice. As far as my opinion on whether it should be happening or not, I would say this… Bitcoin doesn’t care. Developers can say whatever they want and urge blockchain censorship or going away from a permissionless leger but Bitcoin just doesn’t care. This is the attitude we’ve had and will keep. Those trying to censor transactions or want to give their permission for you to make transactions are showing their true colors.

27 more points for LeBron in the Lakers loss tonight against the Pelicans. This puts him on pace to easily break the scoring record on Thursday against the Bucks on TNT. It seemed a little obvious that this was what was going to happen and at this point he would need a monster game against the Thunder or probably an injury to keep it from happening. Keep your Thursday night free. It will most likely be LeBron’s historic evening.

Sometimes I forget that of all my achievements with crypto over the years, people still think of me as a collector in spite of me collecting nothing but Casascius coins as a form of cold storage.  A vast majority of my time has been spent on development that nobody here ever sees or is aware of apparently, and keeping funds safe for users here.  Sure, I've been involved in selling precious metals longer than I've been in Bitcoin and I did make a few coins as a fundraiser for a project I help work on.  I don't think of myself as a collector though.  Project manager, sure.  Developer, a bad one maybe but on par with the likes of most active here.  Collector?  Not something I do.  All in good fun though.  I know how much people here love to group themselves to attack others.  I'm just not one of them.
4031  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 04, 2023, 07:11:26 PM
Fear is good.  It means you're aware of the risks in this market.  However, don't shy away from an investment just because of fear.  Use your brain and figure out if it's going to be a good investment or a bad investment.  Listen to both sides of the argument and weigh the pros and cons.  Also, remember Warren Buffett who famously said to, "be greedy when others are fearful."  Another gem is to buy when there's blood in the streets, even if the blood is your own...

In the case of Bitcoin though it doesn't have to be overcomplicated.  Look at the 4 year cycle.  Determine where we are in the cycle.  Buy during the lows.  Sell during the highs.  Profit.

If this trade will happen, Westbrook will surely be one of the players who will be traded since Irving-Westbrook trade might not be acceptable for the Nets. The fact that Irving had already stated his decision to leave the team, then makes the waiting time before the trade deadline more exciting.

I'm more inclined to think Irving will stay with the Nets for the rest of this season and become a free agent in the offseason. However, there have already been rumors of a potential deal between the Lakers and the Nets. As far as I know, the Lakers could include Westbrook, two first-round picks, and another role player in the deal. Anyway, if that happens or not, we'll know very soon because the trade deadline is February 9.

I'm not sure the Nets want Irving to stick around after all the problems he's caused there from the beginning.  At this point, they probably want to wash their hands with him.  He also told them he won't resign, so it's a matter of if they want to get anything in return for him at all, or let him go for nothing.  I'm sure they'd probably appreciate having Russ around as he's a hard worker and good employee.  The opposite of Kyrie.  In my opinion, if they do decide to keep him, it's out of spite in order to make the rest of this season hell for him.  I could also see them shipping him to Toronto or some other far off land.  I tend to think they would appreciate being rid of the distraction though, so at this point a trade of Kyrie to the Rockets for a bag of skittles wouldn't surprise me.
4033  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 04, 2023, 02:22:39 PM
I voted no. Not because I’m not currently bullish, but because we moved up a lot very quickly and I think we need time to correct or accumulate before another move up. I’ve been surprised by the market strength during this rally so a sustained move up wouldn’t shock me, but if I were a gambling man I’d be looking for a month of sideways action or maybe even a retest of $20K before we head up to the next stop at $30K.
4034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 04, 2023, 02:20:15 PM
^ I find it a little bit unlikely that Westbrook and Durant would have a reunion in Brooklyn, but you never know. The NBA is crazy…

We do get to see LeBron go for the record again today on ESPN2 against the Pelicans. Doubtful he breaks it today but possible. I still think against the Bucks is most likely and a 25 point performance from LeBron would seemingly seal that fate.
4035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 04, 2023, 02:18:01 PM
In YouTuber boxing news it appears that Jake Paul is already looking passed Tommy Fury and negotiating a fight with KSI. It appears KSI sent over a contract to fight at 175 but Jake Paul wants to fight at 185. I’m sure they’ll meet somewhere in the middle or work out a rehydration clause that everyone is happy with. Interesting that this fight is being negotiated before the Tommy Fury fight even happens.
4036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: February 04, 2023, 03:21:23 AM
What this shows to me is that the US is extremely divided.

It's almost like there are two countries inside one, and getting more extreme views every year.

This wasn't like this 10 or 20 years ago.

Anyway, it's really tight, so good luck to whoever wins!

Yes, it’s pretty crazy. I feel like there’s the party of reality and the party of crazies being manipulated for votes to enslave us all on behalf of the government. The idea that people pick their own genders was cute at first, but it’s turned into widespread mental illness where crazy people are giving little kids sex changes and begging for the government to save them from the flu while trying to demonize people who won’t participate in their fantasies. The American dream now is to get away from the government and mentally ill leftists.
4037  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Heading Back To $23,000? on: February 04, 2023, 01:03:16 AM
It basically moved from $16,000 to $23,000 and has been sitting here for a bit now. I’m surprised it’s been able to hold this level and not retrace after the $40%+ move it made. The longer it consolidates here the more likely I feel it is that we head to $30,000 with a quick move upward. The market keeps pressing up against resistance and I think it is only a matter of time until we take the next leg up.
4038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 03, 2023, 09:05:13 PM
Hello Guys,

My picks for tonight.

Minnesota Timberwolves (-4.5) vs Orlando Magic = Minnesota Timberwolves Win 1,86 Odds.

Utah Jazz vs Atlanta Hawks = Utah Jazz Win 1,80 Odds.

Houston Rockets vs Toronto Raptors (-6.5) = Toronto Raptors Win 1,71 Odds.

Good luck guys.

I like those picks. None of them seem like they’d be a surprise and I’m surprised the odds are so high for a couple of them. This would probably make a good parlay bet and if you hit all three with those odds it would probably pay off nicely. I might have to toss a couple bucks at it myself. Smiley Good luck!
4039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 03, 2023, 08:43:26 PM
^ Ya, that is crazy news that Kyrie has formally requested a trade with only a short time before the trade deadline. It isn’t totally unexpected though. KD hasn’t been healthy, Ben Simmons is a mess, and Kyrie wants to win championships. I think he needs LeBron. We’ll see what happens but I’m sure Lakers fans everywhere are hoping that a Kyrie for Westbrook trade happens. I can’t imagine it does for many reasons, but I’m not sure who is in a position to trade for Kyrie.
4040  Economy / Services / Re: OGNASTY’S LEGENDARY BITCOIN ESCROW SERVICE (More than 19K BTC transferred!) on: February 03, 2023, 06:15:01 PM
Please make sure to be safe, even when using escrow.  There is a very common scam going around where users contact escrow agents and set up a deal, then contact the user to be scammed via Telegram with an account impersonating the escrow agent.  Once the funds are sent to escrow by the user being scammed, the scammer requests a refund and the user's funds are stolen.  There is a simple way to not get caught up in this scam.  Communicate directly with the escrow agent on this forum.  I can't say this enough.  If you use Telegram to make deals with BTC, you will be scammed.  Let me repeat it larger for the people in the back...

If you use Telegram to make deals with BTC, you will be scammed.
