4021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 01, 2021, 03:14:56 PM
Manchester City is trying their best to get back on track. They want to be in the top 3 of the points table. Their next match is against Chelsea. If they can beat Chelsea, Manchester City will move to third or fourth place in the points table. Chelsea and Tottenham got off to a great start, but they are now far behind. On the other hand, I think the city of Manchester is in a fairly stable position.
It's true, Manchester City have tried to show us that they are doing their best to win every game. But they struggled so much at first that they had to try hard to stay on the right track. The last 4 matches Manchester City have been pretty good with a positive trend, I hope they can also win the game against Chelsea so that it will make the team more stable. Chelsea need a win after getting poor results in the last 2 matches and Manchester City must be aware of that and be aware of Chelsea's passion to win games.

That draw of Liverpool with Newcastle is going to open up the spot for other teams to climb to. With three points today, Manchester United could equal the points with Liverpool. It should be a easy win for ManU against Aston Villa. For today, the win would be easier for Everton as well for Tottenham, Crystal palace and wolves.
Yes, Manchester United has the opportunity to equal Liverpool's points a few hours from now. The satisfactory results in the previous games will probably make the Manchester United players quite excited today. I like Manchester United winning today's game, 3-1 is a pretty good score in my opinion.
4022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 31, 2020, 07:04:55 PM
Tottenham's situation is not good at the moment. The team has been out of the truck for a long time. They have not won any of the last 4 matches.
But they are better than Manchester City and Arsenal in the standings throughout 2020. LOL
Tottenham's last four games have only managed to get 2 point which should have been able to produce 6 points from two draws. They don't look strong for a big team like Liverpool or Leicester recently, which is not good for them.

You are right. There are many talented players in Tottenham's squad. I think there is a lack of coordination between them. Otherwise, why can't they have the expected results despite having so many talented players? They have a skilled and ex[eroenced coach and have enough talented players. They have everything the balanced team needs. Still, they can't provide the expected result.
Not all teams that have quality players who look good as potential champions will get results according to plan. Some of them have struggled to keep going with positive results in every game. Manchester City and Arsenal are two teams which prove to us that sometimes results don't go according to plan even though on paper they have a strong team at the moment full of star players.

The league is still long with many games to go. The best will be determined at the end of the season. Let's look forward to exciting matches and surprises until the end of the season.
4023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the benefits of buying XRP at present? on: December 31, 2020, 06:41:36 PM
I did not expect anything from XRP and I will not buy it again because of the negative sentiment directed at them. Buying for some time and trading it on a small scale as a day trader activity in my opinion is not a high risk thing as long as there are many traders who do it on the exchange. But it may no longer be suitable for long term investment. Let's think realistically that there are plenty of other altcoin options that have potential advantages at the moment.

I don't want to advise you on how you should use your money and investment, it's entirely your right because profit and loss on this activity is entirely your responsibility. Consider the risks.
4024  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I doing anything wrong by holding bitcoin?⁰ on: December 31, 2020, 06:31:06 PM
Don't get too greedy about the high expectations you might get from investing in bitcoin. Besides you have the potential to make a profit through investing, never ignore the risks. Where you store $12K worth of bitcoins must be absolutely secure and you should take security precautions for that too. In my opinion, this is not a small amount for some novice investors and will be a very large sum for most people.

I believe that in 2021 these held bitcoins of mine will make me much happier. Certainly I'm not doing anything wrong by holding bitcoin.
What if 2021 would be such a bad year for bitcoin that its price would down again ? Are you ready for all the consequences ?
4025  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year | New Resolutions - How you gonna manage your finances - 2021 ? on: December 31, 2020, 06:16:50 PM
Well I guess still the same, just HODL bitcoin next year and see how it goes. Everyone is saying that 2020 is a good year, but 2021 is going to be better as it might be the bubble that we all have been waiting, so the price could go as high as $50k-$100k.
I didn't expect that bitcoin's rise was something contrived to qualify as a bubble. Fluctuation is normal for bitcoin price as the market is generally out of control due to the activity of thousands or hundreds of thousands of traders. As we all know, bitcoin price volatility is normal and not artificial so it should not be considered a bubble and all of it is influenced by the supply and demand of traders.

OP, I think you can do anything with your money and your investments for the future and hope there will be a bright future for that. Bitcoin is not completely predictable with certainty although sometimes the results of analysis can lead to it. You can buy at any time regardless of the price you enter, but I believe that's not good investment advice right now. I will probably do the same thing to buy periodically and keep it for a long time. But I have to wait for the right momentum depending on the current market conditions. I just didn't want to buy at a time when bitcoin was at its peak like it is today. This reminds me of the end of 2018 where bitcoin prices fell after ATH was formed.
4026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: December 31, 2020, 12:34:10 PM
In crypto Industry, we should always learn about the mistakes made us, every beginner will be greedy when they enter into the market and lose a lot of money based on that greedy. Of course, our experience will give confidence and started learning about technology and started controlling his emotions based on the money he has.
The desire to get bigger profits is certainly one of the desires of most traders. I don't think that greed is forbidden for experienced traders, but greed can increase traders to ignore the risks that may occur and therefore greed may be one of the factors that can cause a trader to lose heavily in trading.

Capital management, risk management and emotional management are 3 things that a trader must always apply and must always be controlled properly in my opinion.
4027  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to learn Bitcoin knowledge. on: December 30, 2020, 06:15:05 PM
If you don't know about Bitcoin, I think that the section you chose, Beginners & Help is perfect.
However, I am not completely sure that the OP is a beginner who doesn't know about bitcoin. OP has been registered as a beginner since January 2018 and is now almost 3 years old. Right on December 18th he resumed his first post after a long sleep and started following the bounty campaign on December 20th. Is this something that counts as someone who doesn't know about bitcoin ?
But you've referred him to the perfect place for newbie and I firmly believe the OP will have something good to learn if he really wants to stay here.

OP, welcome back to the forum. I hope you are no longer asleep after this. LOL
4028  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 340k USD Q1 2022 on: December 30, 2020, 05:33:27 PM
The amount you mentioned is not a small amount, but in my opinion it is not an impossible price for bitcoin.
I would really like to know some of the factors that support your current speculation, this will give us some reasonable insight.
I think the most realistic target in 2 years from now is $50-100K, I dare not say more than that and will probably just be a tough target to achieve.
4029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 30, 2020, 05:13:29 PM
Leeds have good attacking players and West Brom are a side with not so good defensive line. We already saw how poor their defenders performed in their match against Leeds United yesterday. But they perform good when it comes to face against big teams like Liverpool, City and so. Well you have to have same momentum going against all the teams if you have to stay in PL.
I have seen that one of the brightest players this season for Leeds United is Patrick Bamford who currently has scored 10 goals. Having productive players in the team will be very beneficial because I think it will help the team have a better fighting spirit to win every game. Leeds United deserve to be reckoned with as a team that can get big teams into trouble when competing. Even though it will be difficult to win the match, their attack line is quite dangerous for the opponent.
4030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Had you sold your Bitcoins ? on: December 30, 2020, 03:57:42 PM
It's entirely your right to sell or not. If you feel like your investment has been profitable, it doesn't hurt to sell. We all can't even predict the market with certainty and it was over 10 years before today. People may advise you to hold bitcoins for some time, but you have the absolute right to decide whether to do so or not. Your Bitcoin is your bank, so always consider everything before you make a decision.
4031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets imagine world without fiat currency on: December 28, 2020, 06:49:39 PM
I can't imagine that in the future. It will be very difficult to eliminate the circulation of fiat in the market because modernization is not fully accepted by all groups. Bitcoin is a form of decentralized cryptocurrency where there is still much to be developed into a global currency to replace fiat. Regulations prevent it and fiat will not be replaced for an inconceivable time. The failure of a currency has become a history to remember, and maybe bitcoin will still be replaced with other currencies in the future with a better upgrade. I'm not sure about that, but nobody knows if bitcoin will last forever. Bitcoin is still an astonishing phenomenon in the last 1 decade.
4032  Other / Meta / Re: 🏆 Bitcointalk Community Awards [Results of the Year + Quiz] on: December 28, 2020, 06:34:51 PM
Congratulations to all of you who won the nomination based on the choice of forum users. You do deserve the award and I hope next year we have the same event too. Thanks also to @icopress for bringing up this great idea.

Just a little surprised to learn that @DdmrDdmr didn't win any nomination at this event, but I firmly believe he's one of the gems on the forum right now. His knowledge and almost all the posts he wrote are very easy to read. Personally I like him holding one of those nominations.

Lauda won two nomination, by the way. Indeed she is one of the most famous users on the forum like the artist who is currently named Miss Bitcointalk.  Wink
4033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of bounty hunters on: December 25, 2020, 05:40:39 PM
I have been participating in the bounty program for a long time, there are many joys and sorrows,
and of course everything just passes, and pain can indeed make an impression, but if the pain lingers,
then you will stop in the bounty program or bounty hunter, pain is a risk so you have to be brave.
Due to the risks and uncertainties about success and the payment to be paid for promotion participants as well as most bounties that end in scams or fail, it is this reason that some users are looking for other alternatives to get something that can also be profitable while increasing their ability to know more about trading and investment and also bitcoin paid signature campaigns. I have been disappointed with some gifts that just waste my time and yield nothing at all. This makes my assumptions more difficult on bounties and leaves me uninterested for now.

I may no longer want to waste time on useless things like most gifts today. Although there are some who actually produce, they are very few. All bounty participants must be aware that there are several things that must be considered and the risk is the main one. Remember, time is money, so use it to produce something that may benefit both ourselves and others.
4034  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounties are profitable or not ? on: December 25, 2020, 04:09:13 PM
I don't have much experience with bounties, so I'm not really interested in knowing a lot of things that can benefit bounty hunters especially how they can find profitable bounties. But I hope this article has helped you evaluate which bounties will benefit you as a bounty hunter. This article discusses how to find a good ICO to invest in, but I think some of the points outlined can also be considered for sorting out which bounty campaign is worth promoting and getting a few dollar out of it. Of course those points aren't just for ICO, but I think they're great for IEO, DeFi or any other fundraiser too. So read on.

4035  Other / Meta / Re: Remove Signatures from Altcoin-sections on: December 25, 2020, 03:27:34 PM
I don't think that advice will solve the problem because perhaps you would also suggest that the gambling discussion board should also be removed for signature campaign. Some things that might be improved is the awareness of users to continue reporting every spam post to the moderator by pressing the report to moderator button in the right corner of each post. This will have a huge impact on the forum as most contributors have been doing it for a long time. The rules can still be tightened and that may be the solution for now.

If the spam posts that are there are deleted in an extreme way every day or week then I believe the activity of the spammers will be narrower and they will find a solution not to be deleted. I hope this way many of them will change their minds because without quality post they will not complete their weekly qouta. I've seen the effectiveness of the idea having a positive effect on local board, and it has decreased the number of spam posts there. So just report it to the moderators and it will be a good thing.
4036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 25, 2020, 03:02:17 PM
Agree, hard to predict. The odds favor Manchester United, but both teams have had a good run over the last weeks so it is pretty balanced in my opinion.
Both team are in their best form after winning their respective matches a few days ago. But the history of the meeting of these two teams has been won by Manchester United and this will be a consideration for gamblers. Based on the livescore site, out of 13001 voters, 55% chose Manchester United to win including me. So even though it is not certain, the chances of Manchester United to win the match in my opinion are very large. This will be the match that will bring Manchester United to beat Leicester City in the standings.

Arsenal - chelsea

is there any chance of chelsea losing in this game?  Grin
Yes, maybe but the chance is 10%. 90% for Chelsea win in my oppinion. Cheesy
4037  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: December 25, 2020, 02:41:40 PM
Yes and no. If you can't afford to lose money, then it is not recommend taking loans for investments of course. But if you have money, but this is currently tied up in another safe investment (e.g. fixed deposit contract), then it can make sense to invest in an asset that has lost a lot of value (through exaggeration) and has a future.
It doesn't make sense for me to loan some money for the purpose of investing in bitcoin. I have never had any doubts that bitcoin is the right and profitable investment choice so far. But I have never dared to use loan money to invest in it because the risks involved are greater than we can imagine.

I don't think people need to be too greedy to expect to profit from the volatility of the bitcoin price, using the personal money you can afford to lose, I think you can still earn. So I think a loan to invest in bitcoin will only increase the risk, we are still too dark to guess and hope for a possible return on this investment.
4038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin This year & Next year. on: December 25, 2020, 02:20:54 PM
The bitcoin ATH was formed in late 2020 and is still continuing. The highest price in the last 24 hours almost broke $25K or more precisely $24,681 as I saw on binance.

My question....!
1. Could it be that after this Bitcoin fell even lower, as was the case in 2017 and 2018 ago.
Rose to the highest price at the end of 2017 and fell back to the low of 2018.
2. Or is it possible that Bitcoin will stay at the lowest $20k level and will continue to $.....!

Well, I want to answer these two questions with some facts.
1. Bitcoin is a very risky asset because of its volatility. We can't predict where future price will go. The past history may still happen and often repeat itself and this will be a difficult job and should receive more attention. If your question is "maybe" then the answer is still possible for me. But support has been formed today and it will be something that can hold the price decline deeper in the short term. I hope you also need to be aware of the price dump.
2. The logic is that bitcoin price won't fall below the $20K level any time soon as the price continues to look for a high and will probably break the $25K level. So I'm sure the bitcoin price will last between $20K through January. After that I don't know what will happen and the volatility will still occur and as I said it will be a tough job and it is still possible to hold on, go up or down.

I hope that your two questions above don't make us guess in the dark because in fact the price of bitcoin will continue to fluctuate and will never stop until tomorrow.

OP, can you consider moving this thread to the speculation board. I think most of the answers in the thread are more about speculation.
4039  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Adding bitcoin as payment gateway on: December 24, 2020, 05:33:17 PM
Although we normally turn a deliberate blind eye on cases like the OP, and assume a good will in the petition, quite a few of these posts are created to promote a given site (which is not even up and running to see now), wrapping it with some crypto content that seems fitting, and never intending to really pursue the issue.

Of course, the (probably) right attitude is to try to provide some contextual based answers that meet the OPs information request. If the answers posted here do not meet with real demands from the OP, at least they can serve as a basis for others to read through in a hypothetical real case scenario.

Anyhow, these threads seem interesting to read through on the topic at hand (broader scope than just WP):

[ list ] Bitcoin Payment Processors
How to add bitcoin as payment method in website

And I have to first check the url it shares on Hyperlink to prevent a click error that could lead to me opening an unsafe site.
Maybe your assumptions are justified because some of them don't really serve the purpose of the confusion in question. Some of them may just want to promote their site so that their site traffic increases. This will be a general hidden goal and I think it is possible.

But in the end we all have to be positive and do our best for whoever is in need. If it is not necessary, then I believe ignoring it is not difficult.

Good to see you are going to accept bitcoin for your website.
If that's really done then I believe the OP is one of the many people who are willing to adopt bitcoin as a means of payment. This will help bitcoin to continue to get the attention of people on various site.
4040  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: UFC Pick your Champions for 2021 on: December 24, 2020, 05:03:29 PM
Im sorry if this is somehow off to what the OP was requested. I'm a little confused with the topic that says "Champions FOR 2021" yet the predictions would be based on fights of various fighters in the year 2020, shouldn't it be "Champions for 2020"? I'm more confused as Khabib ends his career in his last match with Justin Gaethje yet he is still on the list. Just a little clarity, thank you!
You're right, Khabib has announced to the world that he is retiring from the UFC after the fight is over. It should be that in 2021 Khabib is no longer on the list and I think the list of fighters in the OP is the winner for 2020. I think the OP should further clarify the list of fighters the predictor will choose in this thread for each class. This will make it easier for predictors to choose potential champions in 2021.
