I am just going to assume it's limited to one ticket per person?

You don't have to assume:

TIX LIMIT: 1 please
4022  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie must wait 6 Min on: November 19, 2017, 09:39:34 AM
Why do you need to post more than once every 6 minutes?

The time limit goes down as soon as you enter your second activity period, by the way.

waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
[other code removed due to irrelevance]
Why would it be changed to, "the last posting from your account"? If anything, it would be IP/account.

False. More fallacies ≠ Worse argument.

Strong argument without fallacies + many fallacies  > Bad argument without fallacies
If I make a strong point to which you are unable to respond but the debate continues and I begin to use ad hominem against you, my argument in summation is still strong.
Whichever side commits more fallacies does determine the strongest argument ≠ Whichever side commits more fallacies is the strongest argument

Nice try though.
Firstly, I did not argue the questionable point, "whichever side commits more fallacies is the strongest argument." Rather, I argued the opposite.

Secondly, the number of fallacies has no bearing on the number of strong arguments. They are independent of one another, for a strong argument relies not on a fallacy. Thus the strongest argument cannot be determined via the number of fallacies.

I do not see how you can state that you can determine the strongest argument purely through the number of fallacies committed by both sides.

Thanks for the calm answers.

@Moderator: When a Newbie writes 'thanks' on this forum she sometimes is sincere about it and does not post it as spam with the aim to increase her posts!  Roll Eyes
Then send it as a PM. If you really are sincere about it, after all, you wouldn't need to post it.
4025  Other / Archival / Re: . on: November 18, 2017, 09:41:22 AM
its confusing, excuse me for not understanding
What's confusing?

If you're referring to this post:

That’s right, 2 coins and one roll  Cheesy
I’d definitely buy some tickets in this one as well if the price was like 0.14 or so per coin
3 rolls looks like a lot of fun  Cheesy

it's regarding a different raffle.

3 winners = 3 rolls.

Fallacies ARE how we determine who wins and loses debate. Whichever side commits more is what determines who has the strongest argument.
False. More fallacies ≠ Worse argument.

OK, lets remove all negative ratings for account selling from back then. You are not objective. Again.
Alright. Let's do it. Remove all negative ratings for account selling by Lauda back in 2013.

Wait, why am I saying 'by Lauda'? Because you're trying to enforce this suggestion of a double standard.

@actmyname you should really pull your head out of lauda's ass.  Grin
But it's nice and cozy in here! Sad
4029  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling REAL UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATERS on: November 16, 2017, 10:35:27 PM
Why are you advertising them as 'ugly'?
You must not be familiar with the "ugly christmas sweater" type of clothing. They're knitted sweaters with some designs/words on them.
4030  Other / Meta / Re: blocked on: November 16, 2017, 05:35:12 PM
-snip-

you can just send btc and ban will be removed ??
Nope. That's the cost to register new accounts (or post on the forum) when your IP has been associated with banned accounts.
4031  Other / Meta / Re: blocked on: November 16, 2017, 03:17:35 PM
forum for him is work, he participates in bounty.
and feeds the family. how do I unblock my account?
Thought it was your husband's.

And the forum shouldn't be his job. As you well know by now, it's a wild 'job' that offers absolutely no security. Find a real job. Roll Eyes

What you mean? I'm bounty-manager. I give the opportunity to the money holders to earn money. I give the opportunity to the money holders to earn money by transferring from our language to them. As an example, you can look at the ODMCoin bounty - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2196019.0
What in the fuck does that have to do with anything I said at all? You're just a cacophony of shit, aren't you?
4035  Other / Meta / Re: Admin or Moderators please help me! Negative trust for nothing! on: November 16, 2017, 12:55:37 PM
My friend wanted to buy an account, at his request, I asked, but how he found out the price, he refused. I mean that - you can not blame a person for what he did not do, without showing evidence. This is called the presumption of innocence
Friend or not, any activity on your account is associated with you and you are thus inherently responsible for it.

We cannot say that you bought accounts but that's not what I said. I stated that you had the intent to buy an account. Which I consider being in the same vein as buying an account. Conspiracy to commit a crime is punishable, just as committing a crime is punishable. As a real-life analogy, conspiracy to murder is an offence in England. You were going to buy the account were it not so expensive. You were going to purchase an account. Thus, you were given the red trust.
You can see my posts anytime. And say me - i spammer or shitposters?
What the fuck kind of English are you working with here? If you weren't posting for the sake of posting then you did have intent to buy the account.
4036  Other / Meta / Re: Admin or Moderators please help me! Negative trust for nothing! on: November 16, 2017, 12:29:22 PM
I'm not spamming. I just wanted to know why I got this fate.
Time zones exist. What if Lauda was sleeping?

You waited 4 hours to send another message. That's a little jittery there, wouldn't you think?
I'm not sell or buy any accounts! if I asked this does not mean that I bought something or sold it! And you indiscriminately chop at the root, you can not! For you, this is a common tick, but for me, the account is a job!
1) This is a terrible job to have. It's not secure in the least.
2) If you asked, you're doing it with either the intent to purchase an account or with the intent to just shitpost and drive up your post count. Either is bad.

p.s.: if you have Legendary rang - it does not mean that you are always right
Did anybody at all say this? Trust is given at a user's discretion.
4037  Other / Meta / kentcrypto's topic spam on: November 16, 2017, 09:02:36 AM
User in question: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1249368

In the Goods section:
Bitcoin Beanies - Bitcoin Cash Accepted!
BITCOIN BEANIES - BITCOIN CASH ACCEPTED HERE!
Bitcoin Beanies - Bitcoin Cash Accepted Here
PAY WITH FIAT!!! Bitcoin Beanies - Fiat Accepted!

In the Collectibles section (shouldn't even be here):
Bitcoin "B" Knit Beanies - **FREE SHIPPING** - Accepting BITCOIN CASH !!!
Bitcoin Beanies (HOT!!!) - BITCOIN CASH ACCEPTED!!!!
Bitcoin Beanies (HOT!!!) - BITCOIN CASH ACCEPTED!!!! *FREE SHIPPING!*

These three threads should be (at the very least) jammed into a singular one.
Can we get some repercussions here? This is essentially duplicating threads, which is against forum policy.

He has 11 total threads on his Bitcoin Beanie store.

I mean... come on.
4038  Economy / Reputation / Re: [User Generated] - Known alts of anyone on: November 16, 2017, 08:17:28 AM
Heck, Lauda was banned several times for spamming, too. Yet adds people to SMAS w/o informing them then neg trusts them just for applying to a sig campaign
I don't see your point here. If I was a reformed thief, am I now disallowed from performing a citizen's arrest upon other thieves?

You think those people get a second chance??
Yes I do.

If this standard applies to Lauda, it should apply to everyone. Everyone should get the benefit of the doubt. Because Lauda does.
I've talked previously about how times have changed and that negative ratings in those days were not usually the norm unless the accounts were hacked.
4039  Economy / Reputation / Re: [User Generated] - Known alts of anyone on: November 16, 2017, 08:04:54 AM
People have voiced their disapproval of Lauda's actions. The problem is in the demographic of most of them being a bunch of kakapos.
You think any Hero or Legendary member will risk having their account permanently ruined by saying anything against Lauda??
What did I say? I said people have voiced their disapproval of Lauda's actions.

Even great timelord is silent about this one.
Indeed, how interesting! Smiley
Timelord was last active a day after the linkage was posted. Not sure if he even saw it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Especially when the references show they aren't lies........

Lauda admits Xanis is his alt (although clearly trying to dance around the subject) but denies that anything Xanis did can be associated with him. Haha!
How's this for showing you up?

I agree that given the evidence, it shows a linkage between Lauda and Xanis. One can assume that at some point, Lauda had control of the Xanis account before it was nuked due to the address linkage.
We can assume that the bids on the Xanis account were for the sake of buying accounts... or we can take the other perspective and imagine it being a shitpost.

Given that I had been relatively active during the height of the account sale/shitpost days, I absolutely KNOW that people used to post bids and useless questions on account sale threads. This was to boost their post count so they could farm their peanuts. The very same thing happened in the Lending section and probably still happens now. "collateral?" "read the sticky u need collateral" "lol u won't get a loan without collateral" "haha these newbies" etc.

The chance of Xanis doing this is non-zero. You could say it is more likely that Xanis was actually bidding, but it's uncertain. I admit that I had also occasionally posted on the auction threads about asking for more information about the account sale (just for the sake of posting).
Note how I agree with you but have my own opinion on the matter.
4040  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda, Sold bitcointalk accounts, Giving neg for others for same reason. on: November 16, 2017, 05:15:34 AM
The point is he/she engaged with account selling here, the time is not matter here since we all know many people tag by him for that doings.
Let's go ahead and start punishing everyone involved in account trades back then, in that case.

Oh wait... how many DT members are there?!

A lot. A lot HAVE sold/bought/escrowed accounts. And now they don't.
