4021  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: September 01, 2017, 04:50:07 PM
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card.

Xapo, Coinbase and Circle, they are all "bitcoin banks", if someone doesn't like them, they don't have to use them...

I tend to think of Coinbase more as an exchange than as anything else.  I do have a Shift card (Visa debit) tied to it that can draw from the balance, but my balance at Coinbase is currently zero.  Most of my holdings are in a Trezor, with only a pocket-change equivalent spendable from Mycelium without the Trezor.
From what I know they are not "banks" but they are "wallets" in which we can store our Bitcoin. Yes they do both have the function of storing your money but the difference is a bank is a business in which it loans out your money and pays you interest in return which Bitcoin wallets don't do it as they only store Bitcoin and they can also exchange with their in-app functions but they don't give any interest whatsoever.
4022  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: September 01, 2017, 05:41:23 AM
The main problem of accepting Bitcoin as a payment is firstly governments should be given green signals to the retailers in order to accept bitcoins. There are some countries who have given permissions to retailers to accept Bitcoin as payments method.
It's not necessary for countries that does not have any legal issue about Bitcoin. The only thing that retailers will be facing is that they have to be honest when it comes to their Bitcoin earnings as they are aslo taxable in terms of income tax. Yes I know the payment you get is in Bitcoin but it is also counted as your income there is no escape in that, and if you ever tried to evade it is only a matter of time before you get caught and face legal charges.
4023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: September 01, 2017, 03:20:47 AM
The Timberwolves have signed another player in Amile Jefferson and it looks like he will just be another player playing for the G-League Team which is the Iowa Wolves. With this seeing we can say that the Timberwolves are out of money as they can't sign any good players anymore to the team. I just wish all the undrafted players they signed are hidden gems for the Team.

4025  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: August 31, 2017, 04:48:01 PM
I think it can't but using bitcoin is still convenient. It is hard to encourage people to use bitcoin since they are used to fiat, especially old people. Yes, we could say bitcoin has higher value than any fiat money but the idea of bitcoin is nothing if there is no fiat money. Also, the demand of bitcoin is still low that it can't still replace fiat. Maybe someday if RFIDs are implemented around the globe there could be a possibility that it could replace fiat but it takes a long period of time.
I don't think that demand is the right criteria in which we can identify if Bitcoin can replace Fiat Currency. Because if we are basing it on demand only then Bitcoin has already took over Fiat Currency because it is the highest price currency currently in the market. And I think the right way to identify the one who is in control of the market is the usage of the currency right now Fiat currency is the most used currency out their also counting what is under it which is Credit Cards and Debit Cards.
4026  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: August 31, 2017, 03:42:58 PM
Would banks and governments actively work and implement countermeasures to undermine this process? Are the underestimating the potential of cryptocurrencies by investing in some of them?
Do you think there is a possibility of cryptocurrencies being banned in the future for the reason of being a threat to "normal" currencies?

Crptocurrency can surely become more accepted for transactions than fiat or credit card, but no matter what happens people would still prefer to carry out physical cash transactions.
It's actually true because right now even if we have a lot of payment methods from credit cards to cryptocurrency, fiat currency is still the king of all payment methods or at least every one of them will end up having a fiat currency value. It is the physical evidence of someone who paid you this kind or amount of money no change in face value whatsoever. I guess the most realistic goal for a cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin is to be accepted in all countries as one of the payment options in there.
4027  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: August 31, 2017, 03:49:50 AM
Checking out my trades in poloniex, I'm really glad that btc price is now rising - but still I'm waiting for my trade to hit the roof ~
I hope that btc continue to rise in the succeeding months and more people will start investing.
Well that is a bad way or trade plan you got there because there is no assurance if Bitcoin's price will go "through the roof" we don't even know what price will that be. As a trader you must know what is your target price and you must know what is your buying proce therefore you are not expecting something that there is no assurance that it will happen. As a trader you are not blonded by fake assumptions your mind is making up as it will only mess up your plans.
4028  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: August 30, 2017, 01:40:26 PM
Request / Suggestion

Good Day to both the management of Coins and to Fellow Users. I think it is time for Coins.Ph to increase there Cash-Out limits with the lower levels namely Level 1 and 2 for reasons such as.

1. The price of Bitcoin before is 2000$ and the daily Cash out limit for Level 2 users are 50,000 PHP
2. The price of Bitcoin right now is above 4100$ which is more than double, but still the Cash Out Limit is 50,000 PHP and an Annual Limit of 400,000 PHP

I think it is more than just to change or increase the limits because of the price of Bitcoin has now. It also helps people who is having a hard time getting that Level 3 verification process you have in your wallet. I hope that you listen to our request as it is just a simple one on making our lives better.

I hope that other users agree with me. God Bless.

Hi, it's Pem from Coins.ph!

Thank you for the feedback! We really appreciate that you took the time to share your ideas on how we can improve our account verification. The different levels try to balance ease of use for customers and security/compliance provisions. We'd be happy to review this, and if there would be any changes in our policies, we'll definitely update our users. Also, feel free to reach out to our team at help@coins.ph. We'd be happy to guide you through the level 3 verification process.
Thank You Ms. Pem for noticing my requeast and I do hope that the Coins.Ph management take action on my request as the limits for level 2 and below are not reasonable anymore duue to the high price of Bitcoin, I hope you understand on the part of the user of your wallet service. As it can both help us in many ways. Thank You Again. God Bless.
4029  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: August 30, 2017, 12:41:21 PM
It is impossible, not every individual have their own smartphones or computers and not all places in this world has internet they would rather buy foods to live than to buy those things.
Additionally if they even if they do have gadgets and access to the internet it is up to the person's will to earn money that will get him out of poverty. Even before there is Bitcoin there are many ways to earn money from other kinds of investment from putting your money in stocks and mutual funds you can save up and build a capital for you to create your own business but do all people take advantage of it? And the answer is a big no because only a few people get to go out of being poor.
4030  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: August 30, 2017, 12:09:24 PM
Have you ever wondered how would the world's economy be like in the future as a cashless society?

Perhaps, with the increased traction of blockchain acceptance nowadays, could lead to the creation of digital fiat currencies powered by blockchains that are managed by governments themselves. With this in mind, there would be no need for physical cash, as digital fiat currencies would provide many advantages such as quick settlement, global payments, full transparency, implants use on citizens to make payments, and more.

If this becomes a reality, which I'm sure that it will, it would radically transform our lives for the better and reduce criminal activity as a result of the full transparency and auditability that a digital fiat currency would have thanks to the power of the blockchain technology.

Also, it makes me wonder if cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin would exist by that time, or will they co-exist with digital fiat currencies.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this.  Wink

Cashless society is the future but not going to happen anytime soon. The society will have to go through a long reform process and the main bottleneck to that process is the politicians. They would not want anything that will make their property and cash visible to the public. They will prefer cash hordes instead of depositing it in to their bank account.

However, if the blockchain technology gets adopted by the government and creates a public ledger, it will go against the corrupt groups and have their black money reveled. It's easier said than done.
I think we already are. When we hear the word "Cashless" I assume that we are thinking about Bitcoin payments only. But credit cards, debit cards, and Paypal are all considered cashless payments in our day long before Bitcoin was even created. I really think that we are living in a cashless society right now but not all of us prefer to use cards and internet due to many reasons.

Hey guys are you not worried that the post count did not reset for this week? Because it would be a lot of trouble for the campaign manager if he forgot to reset it back to zero. I just hope it won't be be bad on our side.
4032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: August 30, 2017, 08:54:52 AM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?

Same. I am planning to invest bitcoin and get some of it to buy things I want to buy for me to enjoy the money I have earn sometimes.
Then your investment will be worthless. Your hard earned money from your investments will be worthless if you will only buy things to entertain you. The point of investing is not for you to buy things at the end, the point of investment is for you to have a good future, it is giving you the money needed to fund your future. So if you don't want to waste your time you must look at your investment in a long term perspective.
4033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: August 29, 2017, 11:20:23 PM
Can't wait for the start of the next season. This should be another exciting one as more players are showcasing their talents for different teams. I would love to see Kristaps Porzingis takeover the New York Knicks and unleash the full potential and hopefully become an All-Star. The West is still pretty predictable with the Warriors looking stronger than ever, while the East could be anybody's ballgame, given how the Bucks, the Wizards, and of course the Celtics have gained confidence in the last playoffs, but the Cavs could prove to still be the best in the East after all that's been said and done.

I've been excited to see the start of this season to see on how everyone is doing with their practice, adjustments with the new rosters and teammates. I'll keeping an eye all the time with Bucks, I just want to see this NBA league not to be dominated by the same team each season, give some doors to the new outstanding teams but they need to work harder.
I think Kristaps Porzingis will be playing not to win but to increase his market/trade value, remember New York Knicks did not intend to keep him this off season as they are willing to trade for him even for a higher pick. Right now Porzingis is showing that he is one of the best players in New York but if he wants that max contracts he needs to show more this upcoming season and before the trade deadline.

Thanks for the payment , Received my desired payment!

Hope that this campaign will last long and I hope that we can promote WeiMixer.com well in this forum.
Wow.The rate of hero member is 1 point per post, 1 point is 3 USD and the maximum post you can make per week is 60 so if you posted 60 during this week you will be payed 180 USD. That's a lot of money  Shocked .

If you look at it carefully, not only the Heros got that type of payment. Sr. Members like me also share that kind of payment weekly. I think they are not giving it for free but they are just that desperate to pay people so they can advertise their services and I think they are serious about how they want people to use their site.
I wish i was a Hero member or at least Sr. member so i could earn that huge.

Be active on this forum and contribute to the community, one day you will also become a Senior/Hero Member Smiley
It is not too late bro. Back before I was in your rank I was in your position in which the high paying campaigns are only for the higher rank members or even signature campaigns have a major difference in terms of pay for the high rank members. Only a a few more months and you will achieve the Sr. Member position. But do not forget, the rank of your account is not the only thing they are looking for but also the way you post and how good you are at making a quality post.
4035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a problem gambler? on: August 29, 2017, 02:15:19 PM
It is a good thing that there are surveys that are trying to identify if you are a problematic gambler or not. But I think there are better steps than answering this questions. A person who has a problem gambling needs a lot of social time especially from his own family in which he or she can interact and share his addiction. Sharing a problem makes it less powerful, the addiction will loosen its grasps from you as there are other people who can help comfort you and fix your problem.
4036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find assets before they are popular? on: August 29, 2017, 12:19:28 PM
I think you got you got your question wrong is it really before they are popular or before they skyrocket in terms of price? Well if it is the latter then just by looking how people support their ICO and how the investors are actually trusting that Altcoin in their project. If it is really about being popular then you can't because you won't know if its popular or not when it just launch with no basis, what you can do is you can be the one promoting it to make it popular in the first place.
4037  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: August 29, 2017, 11:11:56 AM
Its hard to hold onto a coin with this volatile market.
Had everyone know that it would grow like this we would have all hold onto a few coins.
Luckily back in 2015 i purchased 5 btc but now i have only a 1 btc but its great that i hold onto 1 rather than selling all off.
Hope the price increase again, in the meantime i am trying to get more by trading my 1 btc.
Well to tell you honestly I think only a few people have even hold all there Bitcoins without selling up to know. It is people seeing that Bitcoin for them is the right time to cash out as they see Bitcoin profitable during that time. Also if you have hold all your 5 Bitcoin you will have a portfolio worth 21500 U.S. Dollars by now which is a really big amount considering that you bought Bitcoin back 2015. Patience and a lot of willpower is needed in order for people to hold their asset as they they need to believe in their investment.
4038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: August 29, 2017, 04:49:54 AM

What is certain when all is not willing to talk, search and trade bitcoin, but is it possible that it happened? It seems impossible, because every day many need bitcoin for any purposes and needs.
So when will it happen? Still a dream only.

It will happen only if there is totally internet shutdown all over the world or there is another world war!! but for now it just lucky guest! now one know if that possible to happen but before that to happen be sure to save or transfer that bitcoin to real fiat.
How can a world war eradicate bitcoins from the face of the Earth? First of all, no such thing like world war would happen. I would suggest you reading about UNO and all that stuff. Secondly, even if war breaks out, officials are not gonna post letter to our homes before the war so there will be no time for collecting money. However, Internet would not die in any case, not even in the war so bitcoins will survive.

world war is not match answer regarding questions above, because world war is would not disturbs  accessibility of bitcoin. maybe when world war breaks out there is possible to block access Internet of foe country's but it just regionally whole world else still can access Internet
Technically what he said about thw world war is probable. Because when there is a world war the most important asset is not money  but food and water anything without value to them such as Bitcoin (which wi be useless in war) will not have any value when you want to purchase food and water, thats if you can even use your Bitcoin when it is time for War. I don't think internet will be accessible to the product for the national security.
4039  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: August 29, 2017, 02:48:56 AM
A currency is always backed up by something, be it the economy of the country that issues it or the trust of the people that it has value. Now if a government were to adopt cryptocurrencies and forfeit fiat, it is paramount to a guy selling his house to some shady guy in a dark alley whom you've known nothing about - the country is basically doomed.
Well even if the cryptocurrency is controlled by the government it cannot make it stable as their Fiat currency as they are not the only ones who can influence the price, demand, and supply. Other people can control cryptocurrencies people such as big players can greatly influence the price. Also with this power it can be abused by the rich people making there Bitcoin have a higher purchasing power is on their will and power.
4040  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: August 28, 2017, 10:53:34 PM
I don't think that Bitcoin is going to die anytime soon personally because it's already spreading and spreading and we see a lot of companies (big ones) like Namecheap , Microsoft etc ... starting to accepting it as Payement method which is pretty good . for what comes to the price I'd say it will be around 600$ on the Next halving block reward which should me on the end of 2016 .
I cant predict what going on after so many years in bitcoin. It is unpredictable since bitcoin value is not stable. Its value is sometimes rising and sometimes falling. But i hope bitcoin will reach $5000 before this year end so that my earning is becoming higher too. I wish that bitcoin will not die.
10,000 $ is a pretty big leap there in which I think if it would happen, I don't think is a good idea for Bitcoin's growth. Reaching over 4200$ is already fast what more is 10,000$? With that kind of growth I think that the investor's confidence will get weaker and will start to sell all of their position thinking that they have reached the peaked of Bitcoin. Sometimes the slow and stable growth is better than the fast and rapid growth because it shows progress and it won't show any price corrections.
