4021  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockstream's new Aqua Wallet on: September 29, 2020, 02:09:10 PM
Damn,,, not available for me because I cannot Apple:( My question is why are they building something like this for Apple when they know most of us only use cheaper Android? I get it, but why not two versions. Looks cool and Blockstream is cool but I did not expect they would just leave out their biggest customer base by doing iOS.
4022  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: September 29, 2020, 12:28:01 PM
I saw the option earlier this evening when I was about to place a bet for Liverpool's game. After building up my bet with different props but couldn't get it through as it kept toggling between the single and multi bet tabs. So I ended up not placing the bet.  Despite not placing my bet with the builder (already had a running acca). I like the feature and would love to see it on more events.

Anybody know if we can put more than one betbuilder bets into an acca/multibet slip or mix it up with other selections in a multibet?

Never tried this option. I know I have tried sometimes to place specials together with normal bets and the betslip works out,,, it only gives you error if you try to play bets from the same game (including if special is from the same game).
4023  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market Price on: September 29, 2020, 10:43:04 AM
He simply wants to buy Altcoins, not implement comprehensive trading strategies. So don't think that he has to prepare himself with simulators and co. Roll Eyes

The fact alone that this question has to be asked shows for me that the exchanges are still far away from being able to be used by people who are not so technically versed. In my opinion, Bitpanda is going a very good way here. There is exactly one button in the app with "Buy" or "Sell". There are no overloaded UIs, no additional settings etc. and can therefore be used by all user groups:

100% true my friend. We are all so used to exchanges that when companies build solutions,,, they think this is "easy" and "seamless". It is not for a lot of people,,, what more to say for those totally new to crypto.

Never use this app you mention but I agree. Keep it to Buy and Sell. Everybody understands this.
4024  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: September 29, 2020, 10:03:28 AM
If FortuneJack is a good and reputable site, why did they choose to moderate the topic themselves on this forum? This usually only happens for 1 reason, to remove comments from people here. Isn't it much better to open a regular topic that is not itself moderable? I think this raises a lot of suspicion (rightly so?)

I've seen a lot of negative comments (even ones based on nothing real) and they don't remove those posts. I don't mind a self-moderated topic as they can remove senseless spam in this thread as that sometimes happen.

perla. Almost ALL the threads here are self-moderated. FJ and others allow comments and keep them, but only if they are constructive. Self moderation is to clean the thread and make it useful for the people ACTUALLY using them,,, just go back and see this thread and see many negative comments left there for all to see.
4025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are DeFi projects trustless? on: September 29, 2020, 08:09:19 AM
DeFi is a tryst less community. What were you thinking think when members locked 11 billions usd worth of token on DeFi, it's an autonomous trust less ecosystem. No one can temper with the funds. Only user who met the conditions can interact with this funds when they interact with the smart contract.
The only challenge here is, computer rarely make errors as humans, sometimes Hackers temper with smart contract when they see a bug and they tend to used that as an advantage to launder funds locked on these smart contracts. Some of these contracts are well audit but still, human makes mistakes. As in the case of Yam, kimchi etc.

Not true. Look at all the most popular so called DeFi systems like Uniswap, Sushiswap and Trustswap. All of them users base their trust on the owners of those systems. And Sushi Chef showed he can scam, just as Jeff of Trustswap showed his projects also scammed people.

Stop trusting people.

Looks like aralmuus won the yellow hat this Week 3 and I think he already won it before right? So well done to you mate!

So hard to climb back up,,, I really messed up with a lot of missed exact scores, did not ever think we would see 1-0 and 1-1 when the past two weeks were full of goals! Jota also messed up by 2-1 prediction:)
4027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: impact of added new token in defi market? on: September 29, 2020, 04:57:23 AM
still can't affect my estimate for the latest system defi, because every update will always attract more attention but the results that look new are a little very vulnerable to behavior that looks for opportunities in situations like this, it's good to see developments first and can't decide in fast tempo. so as not to be affected by things that might be detrimental.

Same here,,, every project now in the space is also coming out with Defi. And you know, even the ones who are promising safety say,,, no more rug pulls etc etc are now facilitating rug pulls themselves. So utterly and ultimately disgusting I cannot even begin to say how angry it is making me like in ICO days!
4028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: English Premier League Season: 2020/2021 on: September 28, 2020, 01:07:15 PM
It's like your seeing the Leeds team through my eyes. There style or tactics of play is just amazing for a team that just came off the championship. They come out to play football and not being scared to hold their defence line.

Chelsea didn't impress me much today, though they managed to bag home a point with a 3-3 come back. The game was supposed to be a win for Chelsea.

Let us not forget however that there have been really exciting teams to watch that came up from Championship. Norwich was very attractive too you remember and when they beat City last season there was hope that Teemu Pukki would be among those fighting for Golden Boot,,, and the same with Bournemouth who had amazing matches with physical ability and attacks. But you have to be practical in EPL and know your depth and play to your strength not over expose yourself all the time.
4029  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: defi exch trading vs normal exch trading on: September 28, 2020, 11:46:55 AM
Good point here to say is that many people forget that these so called Defi exchanges are actually DEXs,,, no different. And many Defi are actually centralized companies whose smart contracts are not even truly open source. Many people are investing without not knowing what is going on and trusting companies.

No different from exchange trading except the promise of self custody.
4030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: September 28, 2020, 11:11:17 AM
It's up to you. But in my opinion, it's a good idea to bet higher on those matches that you are more confident with.
If you are already very familiar to the both of the team, then that should somehow means that you can place better predictions to the result of their match.
If so, I suggest placing higher bets. Smiley

But just like I said, it will depend on your senses that time.

Confidence is a funny thing in sports though,,, I am always confident of Spurs in the same level at many games, but always end up disappointed. I personally think you have to see it from a value perspective. Bet a lot if you get a good boost and good value, bet normally if there is no real value in the odds. Spurs vs Man Utd and 4/1 for example? GOOD value!
4031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: September 28, 2020, 09:08:02 AM
Oh Yeah I think it does.  Some names just sound more appealing then others.
A good name versus a bad name can be the difference if people want to invest in your project or not to.

Sometimes, but not all the times. Definitely in Asia we like names and my Chinese friends even prefer names that mean something in terms of luck so which explains why 888bet or 168 and all those funny names that mean nothing to us are so popular in China. But in general for me,,, I do not value the name as well as the actual service. Of course, some names I will stay away from completely (like numbers that attract China!).
4032  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: September 28, 2020, 07:31:30 AM
Watford is doing amazing right now but they haven't utilized the transfer window just yet, if they sell too many good players (specially sarr for example) that means they will drop to championship level anyway, right now they are playing like a relegation level premier league team which is better than championship teams (at least most of them) so at the end of the day they need to keep as many players as possible.

And in case they sell one player because that player wants to and can't keep him, they need to find someone at least as good or even better because new player would have to get used to the team and also the strategy along with his teammates, so it would be difficult to replace a player with same level. It is a very tricky situation and I hope they get out of it easily.

I think the problem with all teams who are relegated is that the money flow becomes worse because salaries are to the EPL standard, and TV payments will no longer come,,, in essense, it is a net total of $100M loss when you do not play in Premier League.

So it is about letting go of people whose salaries cost the most,,, I do not think they have a choice. Leeds learnt that lesson in a very expensive way, and so did many others who got relegated. So Watford will need to be careful here but I think they want to first secure a place for playoff at minimum which is what they are doing. No League Cup distraction now!
4033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2.0 DeFi - HBTC on: September 28, 2020, 07:00:58 AM
any ideas on how DeFi 2.0 will progress?

BTC has been wrapped into ETH and into smart contracts what is the next steps?

Huobi just posted they will be launching Defi 2.0:

What exactly is the 2.0 change from 1.0? That it will become even more centralized? So what Bitcoin wrapped in ETH? You can wrap BTC in anything if you want how does this make it special? I think people need to stop going along with the industry and start waking up,,, I am not saying all Defi is bad but come on guys. All the scandals coming up. And all the private chats being leaked. Does it not tell you people are scamming?
4034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 28, 2020, 05:59:28 AM
I am now on 15th place drop from top 10 last week so it seems my slide will continue a lot Wink Anyway, Spurs are so frustrating on the paper but if you watched the match I think I say we should have won so at least the performance was good for us. I agree with you guys about VAR And I am glad that even Newcastle manager said something about VAR even though it benefited his team. This season is still new and SO many VAR decisions that causes even a penalty after full time. Football is becoming like laughing stock with referees,,, and I think we need to protect referees positions too. Football has always been about flow and referees keep that flow.
4035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LINK - CHAINLINK in the moon on: September 28, 2020, 05:28:19 AM
I also believe LINK is going to the moon again, but not anytime soon. Because LINK will at least correct up to $ 3. After that,
the pump will reach an all time high price of $ 19, in fact I believe LINK's price will be able to go up to $ 30 by the end of this year.
But this target can be achieved provided there is no bad news about LINK and the Bitcoin price does not dump below $ 10,000.

Hate link and all these coins but I will not lie that if it actually does correct to $3 I will be very tempted to get in in a small way,,, I mean $7 seems to be the safe support, but I think half of that is very possible even during 2020. A lot of people are gong to be shocked. Like you said though,,, all on Bitcoin.
4036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone know a dice game that is actually fair? on: September 25, 2020, 12:37:42 PM
I will not talk about yolodice since it is obvious I am a supporter and investor there of course I will be biased about it. I also will not talk about any other site where I have investment but my experience has actually been,,, if the site has a provably fair algorithm and it does check out, I have never had problems.

I overall lost money of course, but at some sites overall I am in profit, so obviously in long term I know I must lose to house edge. Which is also why overall I see profit in investments.

Many dice sites here on this forum are fair. Everyone of them has people complaining but you cannot challenge mathematics.

On the other hand, and I've said this before, it does make it rather difficult to chat, you can say one thing and it just gets lost in 2 seconds buried under a lot of other chatter posts. So it's very tough to have a proper conversation, but I guess you can't have it all;)

Yes,,, I hardly ever chat in there because of this but that is perfectly fine for me. I invest,,, so it is in my interest that the site is as popular as possible and has as many active users who also gamble. As an investor at BV also my funds go towards all these promos, so I am happy not to be in the chat and see everyone there talking,,, and hopefully also gambling!
4038  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't trade if you're inexperience rather stake your coins. on: September 25, 2020, 10:06:39 AM

Does it mean inexperience traders aren't born to trade?.
Ofcourse, not. Tell you what, no one became that good in trading without making a mistake. Besides, trading isn't a risk free venture though, it was and would always been entagled with risk, even those experienced individuals tend to commit such mistake  Tongue. So, don't expect that you'll be to avoid one. And who knows? You might achieve amazing feat here, if you'll just set your mind into it.

No one is born to trade. Only sociopaths who have no emotions would be the ones able to trade,,, in fact I think it is a good business idea to hire sociopaths only but the problem is they are also not motivated by gains so will not be enthused to trade for profit;)

Even so, without emotions, you still can get caught out.
4039  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 Dice on BTC in Telegram on: September 25, 2020, 08:09:03 AM
Random values do not guarantee fairness (given that it is proved to be totally random), you can not just use a random value generator on internet and just assume they are 100% or even 80% fair and that is because you don't know how they come up with the values and there's nothing transparent like blockchain to back it up, that's the whole idea behind gambling websites that use provably fair system and seed numbers that are being hashed and sent out to the players and even if players want they can add their own seed number to make sure that the gambling website is not tampering with the results, that way there is significantly less chance(still not zero) of any wrongdoing on the website part.

And worse, it is almost impossible to prove that these rngs are working as they should at most casinos and certainly for sure on Telegram. At least with provably fair dice most places show the code and it is clear how it works but for rngs,,, you can only trust audits you cannot see the code on your own with it all being closed source.
4040  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible Patterns of Recovery on: September 25, 2020, 06:56:17 AM
There are places that do show wrong numbers as well on the pandemic death. I saw a paper with proof online that some person put his grandpa into ICU because his grandpa had corona and he waited for 3 days for him to recover, on third day morning his grandpas results came back negative and he no longer had corona which made him happy but then they told him his grandpa passed away and on official paper it looks like he died from pneumonia so they basically faked his death as something other than corona.

If the dude didn't proved this with papers and results and dates I wouldn't believe him but it really happened. So, that means pandemic is not going away, it is still here and that means recovery may not be as quick as people imagined it would be, we could still be going down once again.

I think the problem is many fold to be fair. A lot of governments have already a huge massive debt problem and poor economy even before the pandemic, and not they are fearing people on the ground are going to get even angrier. We already read many stories now of people going for Bitcoin and throwing away their country's fiat.

And also people are tired of living in fear when others their neighbors and friends do not care and go out and enjoy. It is all human nature being out here to show us how bad we are at doing things together:(
