4041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remember when ETH was $1400 a few years ago then crashed to $70 as BTC crashed? on: January 07, 2021, 05:03:06 PM
Keep in mind that there is always a risk if you decide to invest in crypto. Today bitcoin continues to grow and maybe tomorrow the price will go down, and this is the very nature of cryptocurrency. Price fluctuations are one of the things you need to pay attention to and you need to set the right strategy so you don't experience losses. The market can change from time to time and that's normal. So what needs to be considered is the risk that may arise such as a price dump suddenly.

I can say that today my successful investment in ethereum has been 100% successful. I got a 100% return on my investment value in less than 30 days. I will probably have some time ahead to think about whether I will sell it 50% and secure the capital or I will continue to hold it until ATH is reached.
4042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was not wrong to bought bitcoin. on: January 07, 2021, 04:43:17 PM
Whenever you buy bitcoin, you are never guilty of doing it because you have purchased one of the most decentralized investment asset in the world. But I think your point is the success you get on the investment you made at a time when bitcoin price seemed high. You dare to take the risk of buying bitcoin when there are many doubts that the price has the potential to dump, but in fact your hope is reached that the price continues to increase and you are making a profit today.

I guess your current expression is completely normal when the results are as expected. But would you feel guilty if only after buying bitcoin were they dump and hard to recover ?

That's why I suggested paying someone to create some content to divert more traffic to Bitcointalk.
At the moment I think people have no trouble getting basic information and knowledge about bitcoin even though they don't come to the forum. There are so many articles available on Google about bitcoin that these people will gain some understanding.

Wikipedia is one of the sites that in my opinion provides sufficient information related to bitcoin and so far Wikipedia also refers many Begginers to the forum who want to discuss more things about bitcoin. So in my opinion there is no need to pay people just to increase visitor traffic to the forum. Some people don't want to talk about bitcoin but they just want to know a lot about bitcoin by reading articles. Bitcoin.org also stores a lot of information about bitcoin which is also a great place for someone to gain knowledge.

OP, I think you've done a good job of keeping the forum clean by simply asking users to write quality posts. But we will still see dozens of spam posts all the time flooding into forum by bounty hunters and signature campaign participants. Only some of us really care about the quality of our shipment and some may not. See how crowded the altcoin discussion board is with repetitive, low-quality, spammy posts. Will they listen to this good advice ? And I know they're too comfortable with the habit because there's not a lot of mod action in that section. If the mod acts decisively, then hundreds or even thousands of posts will have to be deleted every day.
4044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Low, Sell High on: January 05, 2021, 03:27:55 PM
It is only natural that in March 2020 people would not be interested in buying Bitcoin when it was priced at $ 3800. Since the situation at that time the pandemic had begun to spread, then there is a lot of bad news circulating and it causes people to be more careful when making decisions.
I don't need to say nonsense here by saying I feel very disappointed with what I did by not buying bitcoin when the price was still low in March. Almost all of us at that time were afraid to buy bitcoin because of the devastating pandemic that swept the world. People around the world are preoccupied with the pandemic and most of us think only about our health and are too afraid to leave our homes.

How do we buy bitcoin when we have to use spare money at that time to meet our daily needs because most of us do not work because of lockdown. But who knew that the price of bitcoin has continued to go up since then and we missed the train due to excessive fear of the pandemic.

Make the events of 2020 a lesson, if the price of Bitcoin
dumps don't ever hesitate to buy it. Because Bitcoin is proven to recover several times quickly.
This is the most likely way to do it. But everything needs consideration and proper decision making. We don't need to sell anything just to buy bitcoin when the price drops, there's always a risk to consider.
4045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there real initiatives to fight scam in crypto?? on: January 01, 2021, 07:40:13 PM
To hell with all the scams that have plagued crypto users so far. They have to accept heavy curses and never be forgiven. When we are among the scammers vigilance is something that should always be improved. Fraud will continue and we all need to be careful.

I don't think any organization is contributing to tracking the ongoing scams in the crypto world. The government won't be held responsible for any harm anyone here can get. In the forums we have several people who are continuously contributing to exposing scams and they do their best for the community. People must recognize that it is our responsibility to stay safe.
4046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 01, 2021, 07:23:40 PM
Sorry, I can't agree with you. I don't think Barcelona is in a good position now. I'm not happy if they will finished the season in the top 4 position. We want to see Barcelona and Real Madrid in the top 3. Real Madrid is playing very well. But to get into the top 3 of Barcelona, they have to play better and win a lot of matches.
Of course you are not wrong with your opinion about Barcelona's current situation. They haven't been in a favorable situation since the start of the season. The arrival of a new coach for them has had little effect on the team's achievements so far and they seem inconsistent. A series of poor results have put them below Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid so far. I hope the new presidential election will help them gain a lot of motivation to finish the season perfectly.

What do you think about this news? Messi available to speak to Premier League clubs with Barcelona contract situation still undecided

Maybe couple of more wins can change my mind.  Grin
LOL, but chances are that your thinking will change as soon as you realize that the odds of winning on the bet never had much effect on your last season's flop because of them. Manchester United's winning streak seems to have taken many by surprise as they looked weak at the start of the season and limped off to win games. But now the fact is they are unbeaten in 9 matches and have the potential to take first place in the standings.

There is a chance this match will end in a draw, but it would be difficult to see Everton just give up goalless.

4048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of so many cryptocurrencies? on: January 01, 2021, 06:40:35 PM
The fact that there are so many cryptocurrencies on the market means that technologies are actively developing. The danger is that more than 80% of all these projects now have no future. Beginners should be very careful as new projects can also turn out to be cheaters.
Why are you afraid to say 90% of altcoins will end up badly for a long term investment ? LOL

On the one hand, more and more altcoins will indeed help trader choose potentially profitable asset other than bitcoin. Most of the altcoin will probably never be suitable for long term investment and few of them lead us to believe that they will last much longer. But on the other hand, altcoins have broken the focus of bitcoiners and made a lot of people lose out because of it. Profitable, but also detrimental. I'm even too confused about which altcoin is the best other than ETH at the moment for a long term investment.

It doesn't hurt to keep reminding beginners to be careful with altcoin on the market. They should not invest in altcoins carelessly, they should at least read and understand the white paper contents of each altcoin they choose for investment assets.
4049  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: January 01, 2021, 05:50:49 PM
I have received a text message from a government agency stating that I am a potential vaccine recipient. But to be honest, I'm not really sure about taking it because basically I'm still wondering whether a vaccine is needed to prevent Covid or not. The lockdown in my place was carried out at the beginning of the widespread spread of Covid and this is the government's effort to prevent people from being infected and I think this effort has had a positive impact on the many cases found in my area. To this day I have not detected that a second lockdown is urgently needed and it is very clear that most of the people in my place no longer believe that Covid is real as they fear it.

The rule now is to take care of yourself and maintain a healthy body by leading a healthy life and adhering to health protocols. The existing vaccines may be distributed soon.
4050  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be hitting to $35000 soon - Buy it today!! on: January 01, 2021, 05:33:03 PM
It is difficult to continue to hold an asset after a big growth, but it is quite realistic and pleasant.
This is a reasonable statement. I agree with you on this.

Another question is that those who see the rally and think to enter have a more difficult choice: the risk of correction is great, but greed gives additional incentives for investment. I am also interested in how the investors who took bitcoin for 20k behaved - went to breakeven or waited for profit or kept holding it.
I want to know what you think of this. The company has bought quite a lot of bitcoin for under $ 20K, they have made a lot of money at this point because the price of bitcoin continues to move up if only they are willing to sell all their assets in the market.

On December 4, 2020, MicroStrategy Incorporated (the “Company”) announced that it had purchased approximately 2,574 bitcoins for $50.0 million in cash in accordance with its Treasury Reserve Policy, at an average price of approximately $19,427 per bitcoin. As of December 4, 2020, the Company holds approximately 40,824 bitcoins that were acquired at an aggregate purchase price of $475.0 million, inclusive of fees and expenses.
4051  Other / Meta / Re: Wish the forum a safe and a prosperous 2021. on: January 01, 2021, 05:05:37 PM
Happy New Year to all the forum members. 2020 set the bar really low. Hopefully it gets only better from now on.
Pretty awful news from the Balkans this morning Undecided. 8 young people were found dead this morning after a New Years Eve party in a small town called Posusje in Bosnia. Unofficial reports claim that a gas leak is the cause of death. First the earthquake, now this crap.

Those who know Croatian, can read more about it here:
https://www.24sata.hr/news/tragedija-kod-posusja-nasli-vise-mrtvih-ugusili-se-plinom-737297
It was an unexpected but unavoidable tragedy. Really this is their last party at the end of 2020. Also concerned about the incident.

2020 has ended and now we have started the first day of 2021 with better hopes. The pandemic has become a major problem in 2020 and has caused huge losses to many people around the world. Losing jobs, losing family members and many others happened because of the pandemic. I just hope that by 2021 everything will be under control and the world will return to normal without a pandemic. The rise in bitcoin prices in 2020 has certainly healed the economic wounds of traders and investors which had a direct impact on the pandemic. I hope all is well now.
4052  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are people buying BTC @ $27000+ idiots? on: January 01, 2021, 04:38:59 PM
I can buy bitcoins whenever I want and at any price and it's entirely my right. I don't have to listen to what other people have to say about how I use my money, but one thing I should always pay attention to is the risks. Regardless of the price we buy bitcoin for, we can be sure that it will be potentially profitable as well as the risk of harm. We all know that whoever invested in March 2020 and kept it until now, they have made a pretty big profit. But I believe some of them had sold their bitcoins when the profits were visible. When the investment has made 50% of the return, I believe people will consider the asset to sell it, especially one full of speculation and high volatility like bitcoin.

MicroStrategy has purchased approximately 2,574 bitcoins for $50.0 million in cash in accordance with its Treasury Reserve Policy, at an average price of approximately $19,427 per bitcoin.

The more capital you have, the more profit you can get. The greater the targeted profit, the greater the risk to be faced. This is normal in the investment world. Only experienced people might be willing to stake large sums of money on bitcoin at the right time. According to calculations, they have made a large profit and the investment was not more than 1 month successful.
4053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 01, 2021, 03:14:56 PM
Manchester City is trying their best to get back on track. They want to be in the top 3 of the points table. Their next match is against Chelsea. If they can beat Chelsea, Manchester City will move to third or fourth place in the points table. Chelsea and Tottenham got off to a great start, but they are now far behind. On the other hand, I think the city of Manchester is in a fairly stable position.
It's true, Manchester City have tried to show us that they are doing their best to win every game. But they struggled so much at first that they had to try hard to stay on the right track. The last 4 matches Manchester City have been pretty good with a positive trend, I hope they can also win the game against Chelsea so that it will make the team more stable. Chelsea need a win after getting poor results in the last 2 matches and Manchester City must be aware of that and be aware of Chelsea's passion to win games.

That draw of Liverpool with Newcastle is going to open up the spot for other teams to climb to. With three points today, Manchester United could equal the points with Liverpool. It should be a easy win for ManU against Aston Villa. For today, the win would be easier for Everton as well for Tottenham, Crystal palace and wolves.
Yes, Manchester United has the opportunity to equal Liverpool's points a few hours from now. The satisfactory results in the previous games will probably make the Manchester United players quite excited today. I like Manchester United winning today's game, 3-1 is a pretty good score in my opinion.
4054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 31, 2020, 07:04:55 PM
Tottenham's situation is not good at the moment. The team has been out of the truck for a long time. They have not won any of the last 4 matches.
But they are better than Manchester City and Arsenal in the standings throughout 2020. LOL
Tottenham's last four games have only managed to get 2 point which should have been able to produce 6 points from two draws. They don't look strong for a big team like Liverpool or Leicester recently, which is not good for them.

You are right. There are many talented players in Tottenham's squad. I think there is a lack of coordination between them. Otherwise, why can't they have the expected results despite having so many talented players? They have a skilled and ex[eroenced coach and have enough talented players. They have everything the balanced team needs. Still, they can't provide the expected result.
Not all teams that have quality players who look good as potential champions will get results according to plan. Some of them have struggled to keep going with positive results in every game. Manchester City and Arsenal are two teams which prove to us that sometimes results don't go according to plan even though on paper they have a strong team at the moment full of star players.

The league is still long with many games to go. The best will be determined at the end of the season. Let's look forward to exciting matches and surprises until the end of the season.
4055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the benefits of buying XRP at present? on: December 31, 2020, 06:41:36 PM
I did not expect anything from XRP and I will not buy it again because of the negative sentiment directed at them. Buying for some time and trading it on a small scale as a day trader activity in my opinion is not a high risk thing as long as there are many traders who do it on the exchange. But it may no longer be suitable for long term investment. Let's think realistically that there are plenty of other altcoin options that have potential advantages at the moment.

I don't want to advise you on how you should use your money and investment, it's entirely your right because profit and loss on this activity is entirely your responsibility. Consider the risks.
4056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I doing anything wrong by holding bitcoin?⁰ on: December 31, 2020, 06:31:06 PM
Don't get too greedy about the high expectations you might get from investing in bitcoin. Besides you have the potential to make a profit through investing, never ignore the risks. Where you store $12K worth of bitcoins must be absolutely secure and you should take security precautions for that too. In my opinion, this is not a small amount for some novice investors and will be a very large sum for most people.

I believe that in 2021 these held bitcoins of mine will make me much happier. Certainly I'm not doing anything wrong by holding bitcoin.
What if 2021 would be such a bad year for bitcoin that its price would down again ? Are you ready for all the consequences ?
4057  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year | New Resolutions - How you gonna manage your finances - 2021 ? on: December 31, 2020, 06:16:50 PM
Well I guess still the same, just HODL bitcoin next year and see how it goes. Everyone is saying that 2020 is a good year, but 2021 is going to be better as it might be the bubble that we all have been waiting, so the price could go as high as $50k-$100k.
I didn't expect that bitcoin's rise was something contrived to qualify as a bubble. Fluctuation is normal for bitcoin price as the market is generally out of control due to the activity of thousands or hundreds of thousands of traders. As we all know, bitcoin price volatility is normal and not artificial so it should not be considered a bubble and all of it is influenced by the supply and demand of traders.

OP, I think you can do anything with your money and your investments for the future and hope there will be a bright future for that. Bitcoin is not completely predictable with certainty although sometimes the results of analysis can lead to it. You can buy at any time regardless of the price you enter, but I believe that's not good investment advice right now. I will probably do the same thing to buy periodically and keep it for a long time. But I have to wait for the right momentum depending on the current market conditions. I just didn't want to buy at a time when bitcoin was at its peak like it is today. This reminds me of the end of 2018 where bitcoin prices fell after ATH was formed.
4058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: December 31, 2020, 12:34:10 PM
In crypto Industry, we should always learn about the mistakes made us, every beginner will be greedy when they enter into the market and lose a lot of money based on that greedy. Of course, our experience will give confidence and started learning about technology and started controlling his emotions based on the money he has.
The desire to get bigger profits is certainly one of the desires of most traders. I don't think that greed is forbidden for experienced traders, but greed can increase traders to ignore the risks that may occur and therefore greed may be one of the factors that can cause a trader to lose heavily in trading.

Capital management, risk management and emotional management are 3 things that a trader must always apply and must always be controlled properly in my opinion.

If you don't know about Bitcoin, I think that the section you chose, Beginners & Help is perfect.
However, I am not completely sure that the OP is a beginner who doesn't know about bitcoin. OP has been registered as a beginner since January 2018 and is now almost 3 years old. Right on December 18th he resumed his first post after a long sleep and started following the bounty campaign on December 20th. Is this something that counts as someone who doesn't know about bitcoin ?
But you've referred him to the perfect place for newbie and I firmly believe the OP will have something good to learn if he really wants to stay here.

OP, welcome back to the forum. I hope you are no longer asleep after this. LOL
4060  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 340k USD Q1 2022 on: December 30, 2020, 05:33:27 PM
The amount you mentioned is not a small amount, but in my opinion it is not an impossible price for bitcoin.
I would really like to know some of the factors that support your current speculation, this will give us some reasonable insight.
I think the most realistic target in 2 years from now is $50-100K, I dare not say more than that and will probably just be a tough target to achieve.
