4041  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion of nyktalgia's purchased account on: March 09, 2015, 08:45:21 AM
Trust is all subjective anyway so it doesn't matter. There is a basic divide in this discussion, those that believe an account sold gets a fresh slate, and those that don't. If all of the people who don't believe they get a fresh slate leave negative feedback, only those that believe that will care about their feedback.

I will not remove the negative trust, the new owner knew what he bought. As a lot of you said : it can be impossible to determine if the new owner is not associated with the old, in this case we cannot remove the negative trusts.

redsn0w, if I may use your comment to elaborate. Lets say that redsn0w believes what they do, they bought what they bought, no clean slate for them. I on the other hand, believe that after the account was sold, the new owner no longer deserves the negative feedback. If I was to buy a pizza from nyktalgia, I'd look at their feedback to determine the best course of action. I see redsn0w's feedback, but I disagree. We don't need to hold a petition to set trust rules or get redsn0w to change their feedback, I will just personally ignore redsn0w's note, because I don't agree with them on the matter. And we proceed with the deal.

We change the senario, and I'm hilariousandco (no I'm not really, because someone will misquote this if I dont mention that we are not the same person (or are we?)) I agree with redsn0w that the negative trust is deserved. I value their opinion, and before I buy that pizza from them, I take what I consider appropriate measures. My point being, feedback is relative, as long as people explain why they are leaving the feedback they are, others can judge it's validity based on their own concerns. Thats the reason the feedback system doesn't need rules, because each person will use it differently based on the situation and what they personally believe. Numbers and red letters don't mean anything, what matters is the content of the feedback itself. The source it comes from, the reason, and the backing.

Yes, no problem.

Both your cases are correct, a negative trust should not stop someone to buy/sell here in the forum. Everyone should trade with his own diligence and the use/not-use of escrow.
4042  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion of nyktalgia's purchased account on: March 09, 2015, 08:38:30 AM
If you buy an account, you buy everything. This includes debts and trust ratings. These shouldn't be removed just because it's now someone else's property. You wouldn't ask the person who broke a toy you bought from someone else to repair it.

Exactly, I am agree with you. Maybe after some months and trades he can gain a couple of positive trusts.
4043  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion of nyktalgia's purchased account on: March 09, 2015, 08:30:44 AM
-snip-
It can be another guy, who the seller has employed to do this. There is really no proof either way.

Sure, proving a negative is not possible, but I am convinced the two in question are two different people. There also is a way out of the negative trust for the new owner. I have no feedback from redsn0w regarding this, but Im with Quickseller here. If the new owner uses the account in a positive way I see no reason why the account should be tained for eternity.

They can redeem themselves with many months of good behavior. For the newbie loan scammers I would remove  negative trust after 30 days of active participation in the forum. For other members, I would say a more appropriate timeframe would be at least 3-4 months, with a more appropriate time frame being somewhere closer to 6 months. If they are involved in any scam attempts or scammy behavior then I would outright decline to remove negative trust. I would consider them actually posting to be considered "good behavior" and not just abandoning their account for the required time period.

If they scammed for smaller amounts then they can repay their victims to get negative trust removed, for larger amounts then their dox gets removed (if they were doxed) but not the negative trust upon repayment.

This is my policy at least. Either of you are free to adopt it or adopt a variation of it, and I am interested/willing to hear what policy you think is best.

I will not remove the negative trust, the new owner knew what he bought. As a lot of you said : it can be impossible to determine if the new owner is not associated with the old, in this case we cannot remove the negative trusts.
4044  Other / New forum software / Re: New forum? on: March 09, 2015, 05:29:50 AM
I wanna change or delete my current avatar, since I wasn't involved in feathercoin for a long time(1 and half year) I hope the new forum will be coming asap.

Anyone knows when will be possible to change or delete the avatar? I know it doesn't work because some hackers found the exploit.

You can contact theymos and ask him to delete your avatar, this is the unique possibility. I'm also waiting the new forum software (but I think we should wait another couple of months).

He cant post any photos because he will send u stolen items bought with fraudulent funds !
Thats why he accepts escrow, he will send items, but stolen.
U will get in trouble buying from this dude, i seen this scheme on other thieves on this forum.

Thanks for the "report" I  have thought at the same thing but I had not the proofs to say this. However I suggest to don't trade with him (in this case as rammy2k2 said "U will get in trouble buying from this dude").
4046  Other / Archival / Re: Can we "Rate" a topic ? on: March 08, 2015, 04:21:08 PM
How about option to "rate" a topic ?
So, we can know if a topic is good / not Smiley

But, only Jr. Member or better only allowed to rate to prevent abuse

We are discussing here for a similar system of "likes/thanks" : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622992.0  If you want to reply with your opinion, it would be very appreciated.

Thanks for the attention.
4047  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling iPhone 6 + Plus, Macbook Air, PS4, Xbox on: March 08, 2015, 12:56:33 PM
U are indeed a dumbass. I just created an account there and it has 0 feedback because i haven't got a sale. U can choose any escrow here. Just stop talking and place an order if u have money. Im tired with stupid noobs who dont have money and ruining people business

Do you want to use an internal escrow user or not? This is what I am asking you, why are you avoiding to reply? Maybe you are only try to attempt a scam, however good luck with your business ( I have already warned the users, now if someone wants to buy from you with an external escrow , then it is his choice).
4048  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: proposta moderatore addizionale sezione italiana on: March 08, 2015, 12:47:17 PM

4049  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling iPhone 6 + Plus, Macbook Air, PS4, Xbox on: March 08, 2015, 12:42:12 PM
i sell at cryptothrift, they have escrow there.

https://cryptothrift.com/advanced-search/?username=kymason

You forgot to mentioned profile link of that user.

Code:
https://cryptothrift.com/user/kymason/

Person who registered last month and has never received any feedback. You want us to trust him for escrow?  Shocked

Sorry mate but this seems really fishy.

Pay attention guys, he is proposing a *fake* escrow. I suggest to use one of the internal escrow (like devthede, monbux, tomatocage, blazr, etc...). Don't trust the external escrow users/site.

PS: (in this case, quickseller or another users would have already left him a negative trust).

Are u dumb? Cryptothrift is a bitcoin marketplace with escrow. I just sell my stuff there and I don't control the escrow. Don't u see there are other users who post stuff they sell. Like I said, place an order and u will see. Your money is safe in cryptothrift escrow.

@runkas do i have a +1 or +0 like u

Roll Eyes  https://cryptothrift.com/user/kymason/   *your* escrow has zero feedback. So I do not think it is a valid escrow, it is better to use one of the internal escrow users.

Maybe you don't want to use one of them? Am I right?

I will post after i am home tonight

Remember to post the photos .

4051  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Announcing iOS block chain explorer app on: March 08, 2015, 12:14:15 PM
Version 1.1 is with Apple and fixes most of the big bugs.  However it is being reviewed by an idiot so there is a bit of discussion going on.

Fantastic, when it will be approved I will test is for sure. You have made a good work it the first version (only those few bugs, but nothing of important).
4052  Local / Gambling (Italiano) / Re: [ITA] BikiniDice - Cerchiamo investitori per Gambling avviato on: March 08, 2015, 12:10:57 PM

4054  Other / Meta / Re: Several Accounts banned... but i don't know why!!! on: March 08, 2015, 11:48:41 AM
Almost every day people got banned, maybe the moderators should open a thread to explain the rule in detail.

BadBear must be delighted that PD campaign didn't start.

I'm sure it will burn the forum if PD joined the competition.

The rules are clear :

- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177133.msg5106206#msg5106206

- NO SPAM
- NO BEGGING (AKA ASKING FOR BITCOINS)
- NO REFERRAL LINKS

I think the rules are easy , isn't it ?
4055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best USB drive to store your Bitcoins on: March 08, 2015, 11:07:21 AM
Personally I use sandisk and have been for years and never had a single one die on me. I wouldn't recommend keeping your bitcoins solely on one drive, though. Back your wallets up on at least two drives and maybe some cd-r/dvd-rs or even write your private keys down or wallet seed. That way you're very protected in several ways so you should be safe.

dont buy a fake usb stick just because its cheap  Roll Eyes - you will store alot money on this stick!

just go to amazon and buy a solid usb stick with from a good brand. use more than one.

Agreed. Genuine USB sticks are already very cheap so just make sure you buy one from a reputable seller of them. Fake ones are usually easy to tell and they never have the correct stated size.

I'm agree with you, for example this article is interesting : http://www.brighthub.com/computing/hardware/articles/33110.aspx

"In 2008, a number of companies released 64GB USB flash drives. In 2009, there started to be claims that there are also 128GB USB flash dives available. While there are reliable 64 GB USB thumb drives available from well known online and off line suppliers, there were no actual 128GB capacity drives on the market until June 2009. There is a supply of counterfeit goods from China, made of hacked 512mb, 2GB and, 4GB flash drives formatted to appear as 16GB, 3GB, 64GBGB and 128GB flash drives."
4056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin, ripple and etherum on: March 08, 2015, 10:51:32 AM
Bitcoin is the first peer-to-peer cryptocurrency largely accepted, and most important it is decentralized. Ripple instead is only an alternativa coins and it is not decentralized. If you ask me what do you choose between bitcoin , ripple and ethereum(?) ? I will choose (for sure) bitcoin. Because it has a lot of good aspects.
4057  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling iPhone 6 + Plus, Macbook Air, PS4, Xbox on: March 08, 2015, 10:31:35 AM
just order if u want, i already said escrow is a must

Again , as hedgy73 you should post some photos (remember to include your username and the date on a paper). It will impossible for us  to think that you are selling these stuff without some proofs.

Thanks for the attention.
4058  Other / Meta / Re: Several Accounts banned... but i don't know why!!! on: March 08, 2015, 10:18:51 AM
The latest post of bloodDiamond, you were commenting to your own post.

Nice catch.  Smiley
And the OP still doesn't know the reason for his ban?

Everyone banned pretends to not know the reason of his ban, it is normal. I these days the ban increased  exponentially.
4059  Other / Meta / Re: Several Accounts banned... but i don't know why!!! on: March 08, 2015, 10:15:00 AM
hilariousandco answered perfectly.

Those signature campaigns are out of control and it's not surprising that bitcointalk is acting to migrate this spam like abuse.

I do not think it is the signature campaigns fault but user's fault. It is the user's style of post, they will always post in this way with or without a sig. ad.
However we all know that someone with a sig ad will post more much then one without (only because he want to boost his post count).

As a fraud-prevention measure, however, Blur users outside the U.S. cannot currently create Masked Cards. We’d like to make Masked Cards available to our international users and are working with WEX to figure out how we can do so.
