4041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Quarter Finals. on: January 30, 2022, 05:18:59 PM
Egypt scores just one goal per game from all their AFCON games so far, will they score another in the Extra time to make a good come back or drag the game to penalties. If it gets to penalties, they are quite a good and they may win, this seems to be their plan B if they cannot penetrate the Moroccan defence to get a goal. Extra time is always very delicate, any team that scores may likely win.
I do not think this is getting to penalty, let us see how it will be, Cameroon first scored, but it was the beginning of the match during the 7th minutes, but Egypt team were able to penetrate further to score their first goal 10 minutes after the second half started. It is possible that Morocco may score back, but the chance is slim, though they have good shots on targets but likely they are out of the tournament. All I can see now is Cameroon versus Egypt in the semi final.

Tunisia near elimination right now but just now at the 83 minute the player that scored the goal for Burkina Faso was sent off with a red card. These last minutes will be crucial for Tunisia to get a draw and to make the game go at additional time and if they can do so then it will be no problem for them to qualify further. However I predict this to be extremely difficult in the last remaining minutes of the game.
Yes, Dango Ouattara scored for Burkina Faso, he got a red card but Burkina Faso still won the match. What was surprising me was that Nigeria lost to Tunisia but Tunisia won by Burkina Faso, though like i posted here in my last or second to the last post, no country can be underestimated for now, this is quarter final, it is not easy for any country to reach up to this level.

I wonder why Nigeria had played almost 18games unbeaten but was eliminated with a single lose by Tunisia, " the lone goal policy"
That is what matches can be, it was a surprise for everyone that Tunisia won Nigeria but anything can happen in a match, even the underdog can win. Tunisia know about Nigeria and how good they are, they have promised to tackle Nigeria very well, they probably had more energy when they are playing with Nigeria which they have in mind.
4043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How bitcoin has employed more African youths. on: January 30, 2022, 08:07:55 AM
it's phenomenal and all people can get bitcoin/free for free just without liking the weather, just following the bounty and forum, hopefully more people will know and want to learn for an income on the forum.
With signature campaign, bounties and many like that, you will be given a task to do before you will be paid, not getting bitcoin or altcoin free, you will have to work, if your work is not complete, no payment.

Of all available opportunities mining is more tudious and very demanding and due to power instability there would be limitations to Africans having a good mining pool. Other options can be easily achieved with a good knowledge about how they all work
This is what I am thinking too, that crypto mining is not Africa thing, only few will be mining in Africa, they will prefer to invest. There are few countries that will prefer to be mining bitcoin, these are countries with cheap electricity which mining will be profitable, countries like United States of America, Kazakhstan and Russia which are not African countries.
4044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Quarter Finals. on: January 29, 2022, 05:17:12 PM
Defense seems to be the game plan for the Gambian side, Cameroon is really playing good football, dominating the play as the host should. Vincent Aboubakar has a really good positioning and awareness, he definitely will be an asset to any EPL team like arsenal that can secure his signature.Gambia already have some yellow cards in this game, they have to be careful not to get a red.
First half ended draw but not long after second half in 50th minutes, K. T. Ekambi scored for Cameroon, assisted by Collins Fai, so Cameroon is now leading by 1 goal to nothing. I am thinking Gambia will soon be out soon, no shot on goal, no shot off goal from Gambia team, Cameroon is also fominating the match and leading.

Edit: Gambia 0 : 2 Cameroon

Quote
7. There's just one secret to trading. Keep clicking. Trade a lot. Risk small. Take a lot of bets and keep doing it. The more you trade, the better you her marinated and ready for the market. This teaches patience, planning and bring skin in the game. Trade a lot.
Uh...OK.  That sounds like a recipe for losing all your money, but hey, maybe this Twitter guy with the sage advice knows what he's talking about.
When I traded a lot, I lost a lot. I do not understand the guy, he said trading a lot and be patient. If trading a lot, a little loss will set poor mindset to lure someone to trade more and lose more.

That is my own opinion

The guy is self centered and saying it the way he is doing it. For example, which I will never follow because I do not have time, the little trades I do always take time than me to watch the screen and see how the market is fluctuating. The guy meant little fund to be used, like 15 minutes trading. But this strategy was a failure for me. I can never do it again.

I prefer to trade ones in a day, I looked for top for short or bottom for long. I trade twice or ones on a day, but I prefer ones, I only enter second if I know profit will be possible.

Still trading is very risky.
4046  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there still opportunity here for lower rank? on: January 29, 2022, 07:34:06 AM
I'm into this forum since 2017, not that active but today I came back since this pandemic force me to continue my journey in crypto market.
That is good that you come back, but if you want to rank up on this forum, you will have to be active this time, activeness is the key to rank up, including meritable posts.

I've been part of many bounty before and participate on bounties last year and guess what, some of them didn't pay at all.
You can be active and do bounties, it is possible, but if you are only focusing on bounties, you can not have meritable posts.

Any tips on how to look for a better project and what can I do to increase my rank?
About better project, I don't know. To rank up, post good.
4047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: little knowledge about gambling - before I knowing bitcointalk.org forum on: January 29, 2022, 07:24:18 AM
Personally, gambling is something that I cannot tolerate with. I tried gambling but most of the results were not in my favor. That is why, I really see it as a form of entertainment where it is relatively difficult to win money (at least in my case).
I was like this before, I lose than often and the net gain are losses.

What may likely be causing this is because you see gambling as a way of making money or making profit, but it should not be seen that way, the reason some people later got addicted or lost a lot of money to gambling.

Try not to play often, do not see it as a way of profit, take it completely as fun, use the money you can afford to lose. Like me I use less than 5% of my income and I play once or twice a week, but barely twice a week.
4048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Quarter Finals. on: January 29, 2022, 07:15:39 AM
AFCON quarter final fixture:

Today: Gambia vs Cameroon
Today: Burkina Faso vs Tunisia

Jan 30: Egypt vs Morocco
Jan 30: Senegal vs Equatorial Guinea

These are now unpredictable matches but if I will have to choose teams that would win, I will choose Cameroon, Tunisia, Egypt and Senegal. But this is quarter final, anything can happen, we can't say there is any underdog in the tournament again, they are all good.
4049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trezor implements Address Ownership Proof Protocol, more regulation less privacy on: January 29, 2022, 07:00:32 AM
I don't know any CEX exchange not requiring KYC process of verification before you can withdraw anything (or maybe small amours below 50$) so privacy and CEX cannot go together.
There are still CEX that will only require username and email from you and 2fa but optional. Example is Kucoin. But just that CEX can request for verification at any time and customers accounts can be freeze at the time.

Paper wallets and offline cold wallets are the way.
These wallets will make your coins to be safer, online wallets can still be used with small funds, control and privacy can still be if the person is careful enough. They are all different from custodial exchanges wallets.
4050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trezor implements Address Ownership Proof Protocol, more regulation less privacy on: January 28, 2022, 08:35:50 AM
I am surprised that wallet want to involve in address ownership proof protocol, is it hard than individual to give their address to the exchange they are using? Noncustodial wallet should remain noncustodial wallet. What I see about this is a marketing strategy for trezor for people in the country to buy their hardware wallet, or may be trends or what is currently going on in the country but trezor should not have done anything.
4051  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SCAM ALERT? Exodus.com or Exodus.io? on: January 28, 2022, 07:13:21 AM
If I am not wrong Exodus is not completely open sourced so its not really 100% secure for long term holding. If you are using this wallet for storage of Bitcoin then better go for Electrum which is available for desktop as well and light weight so you can feel safe.
Electrum is the best bitcoin wallet desktop users can use, it is open source which is better than close source wallets.

To be fair, quite a bad move for Exodus to be using the .com domain as their main domain, but use the io on their social media usernames. Can't blame you that you got confused.
Exodus should make it clear to people, it is not bad to include both the .com and .io any time they are including the link to their website. It will be good to always notify people in the mail they send to them that only those two are correct while others belongs to scammers.

If it is not done like this, Exodus users should mail Exodus about this suggestion.
4052  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be wiser than the market on: January 28, 2022, 06:57:17 AM
Yea, I have to agree that we usually predict where we want to see the price. But it doesn't happen most of the time and regrets it eventually.
That is true that most traders predict and the market go the other way which causes liquidation especially for future traders, I mean traders that are engaging themselves in future trading. But what js causing most liquidation is greed and inexperience, some traders will go for 100x leverage or more which is highly risky, I remember when I went for 10x it is also very risky. 5x is even very risky in volatile market. If the market is also against someone's direction, 3x can be very risky during extreme volatile market. The leverage someone is using is many times the cause of liquidation but trends can really help but some traders are day traders and trends can not work for them but only in few times during the hype.
4053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to return polygon erc20 usdt, if u sent it to eth erc20? on: January 28, 2022, 06:46:46 AM
No, he is not the owner of the wallet. Please, read his latest reply, he said he sent the coins to an exchange. So, only the exchange's support team can help him recover his coins.
And if am reading it right, he sent 2.100 usdt which is not a small amount and he should definitely re-contact them and try to explain what happened in details. Because judging by their reply (to contact polygon support!), they are either trying to fool him or the support agent has no clue on how ethereum and polygon networks work.
With 2100 USDT, the exchange should help, I explained that too in the first post I dropped on this thread. But if we should speak of the true here, this is a scam happening amount exchanges, there are many people that sending to another network on an exchange in a way the coin sent will be lost forever which is accessible to the exchange. I hope if he contact the exchange customer, they will be able to recover the money for him. It would have been easier and better if the private key is his.
4054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to return polygon erc20 usdt, if u sent it to eth erc20? on: January 27, 2022, 07:05:09 PM
So the thing with private key is gonna work even if i sent it to polygon instead of their ethereum? Cause i dont think they got it on their ethereum address, cause they're not using polygon. Or i understood something wrong?
If you are the owner of the wallet, I mean if you have the private key, you will see the amount on your wallet balance, or if your wallet is not supporting polygon, you will not see the coin until you import the private key on a wallet that support polygon. You can import the private key into a wallet that support polygon for you to be able to spend your coin.
4055  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be wiser than the market on: January 27, 2022, 06:54:00 PM
Experience is all that matters most while trading, it is true to not trade more than the amount that can be affordable to be lost, because trading can be other way around many times which will not favor the trader at all. Experience matters, someone that have the experience already would have known the do and don't of trading but new traders should be very careful they should not be wiser because it is clear how they can trade and lose significantly.
4056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to return polygon erc20 usdt, if u sent it to eth erc20? on: January 27, 2022, 09:52:06 AM
If you have the private key of the address of the wallet you sent it to, you will be able to get your coin and spend them. If you send it to an exchange, you will not be able to recover it because it is the exchange private key and you do not have it, you will have to contact the exchange customer care to help you. They may have terms and conditions about it, if the amount sent is not up to required amount before they can help you, your coins is lost, the exchange stole it by not giving you. Not you key not your coin.
4057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 27, 2022, 09:20:37 AM
Man United always had the same reasoning, they were not strong in certain lines, and after buying players on a line that is considered weak, man united doesn't seem to be making much progress, and signing CR7, which is considered the best transfer to date, did not have much effect, even on certain occasions he was substituted. they need a winning mentality and a great coach, because their whole squad is already good. that's my reason why bring new players will be not a solution.
Manchester United need good manager, what they are suffering from is to get the right manager like Alex Ferguson. Sometimes it is not about buying big players, it is about seeing the potential and skills in a player that will later become a big player and also the type of formation and strategy the manager will use to set up his squads. We can all see C. Ronaldo in Manchester United now but nothing good about the club. Manchester United need to change their manager again. When I know C. Ronaldo did nothing good to Juventus than leaving the club, I know he will not also perform better in any other clubs. Juventus is a very good club before C. Ronaldo got there, no changes.
4058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: little knowledge about gambling - before I knowing bitcointalk.org forum on: January 27, 2022, 09:12:34 AM
2. Set limits and monitor your money.
This is the most important thing about gambling, gamblers should set a limit which should not be more than 5% of their income. Like me I use less than 5% of my income, it is 2% or 3% most of the time. Ever since I have this kind of strategy and a sense of thinking that I cannot make money from gambling, it pays me than before and yet gambling is not a means someone should look for money for gambling addiction not to set.

Coming from my experience, you will never realize that you need total control unless you lose a huge amount of money and you are on a brink of bankruptcy
That is true but not true in few cases. I have friends that do not gamble at all, I have some friends that only gamble with just little amount of money like $0.2 daily and not frequent but when looking for small change to spend. They lost at times but sometimes they are lucky. I believe when this type of people are rich, that will be the end of gambling for them.

Some many people can become addicted and some would have experienced this before they are making moves to prevent further lossee to happen again.

4060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tether (USDT) supported gambling platform? on: January 27, 2022, 08:58:42 AM
I never seen Tether on gambling sites. Actually I've seen it only at Poloniex and Bittrex )))
So it almost 99% that usdt not available at gambling. I think it USA company, so it will be never in gambling.
Which gambling sites have you used before, tether is one of the most popular cryptocurrencies that many gambling sites are supporting, but this can be tricky, using ERC20 USDT is very expensive and people should not use it if they want low fee transaction. But many gambling sites are now also supporting TRC20 USDT, it will only require low amount of fee for the transaction. I have not know any that support BEP20, but it has low amount of fee too.
