I see, but i´m trying to have 1x750w corsair psu running for 1 item

bump all  4  starting volts by 0.002
 bump max volts by 0.002

bump all 4  watts by 5

they are like gpu cards were for btc mining .

the minimum you can do changes a bit the first week
40422  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 39,457,671,307... The bitcoin Fairy on: December 17, 2014, 02:49:58 PM
I am not sure what P=0.075 vs p=0.074 password does?
I thought that they assign payout automatically based on bids.
Do you mean if you set it up as p=0.075 and nobody rents it, it would automatically switch to a second pool?

you can use the auto option

I like to set a price.  so if I list westhash on top and set price at   p= 0.075  if the bottom drops lower it leaves westhash and goes to nicehash  where I may have set the price to p=0.071

I find this is better but to each his own.

If you go to the orders page

https://www.westhash.com/?p=allorders

https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=allorders&a=1

you can estimate.  but I am retired and have some time to fuck around with it.  nothing wrong with auto option if you are busy

every 6 hours or so.  they payout.
That fast? Shocked

that is the fastest.  remember you are renting your rig to them.

I am pointing 8th at them and I am getting .16 to .20 every 6 hours.

If you have less then me you may get skipped and paid every 12 hours.  Of course these numbers are crazy high due to the paycoin 'rush'  once the price goes back to normal  the payout may slow down.

The worst is every 24 hours.
40425  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: a 10% drop in hashes? on: December 17, 2014, 02:17:54 PM
I vote no.  I think people will switch back from paycoin  mining to Bitcoin mining

where went arcade coin from your sig Phil?

times change.

he is no longer a renter from me. i opened the spot yesterday and nice hash made a decent offer to rent it.

All of us miners that used nicehash or westhash since sunday and up to this friday will know they are a good company.

After friday I will still keep a few of the sp20's pointed to them

40427  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Power Hungry ASIC on: December 17, 2014, 11:51:47 AM
I would get s-3's .  a lot of them.

I would set them to freq 175 they will mine at 350 and be quiet.

if you don't mind noise i would set them at freq -225 231 and use 3 per evga 1300 g2 psu

I would go to the marketplace here and write a thread .

I want used S-3's  I would prefer you to be close to my zip code.

here is the board.Also ask for working evga's 1300 g2 psu's

40428  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Why are the prices 10x? on: December 17, 2014, 11:45:48 AM
I was using your nicehash for a few hours, thought I'd get a few paycoins for myself just as a precaution.

Very efficient payout on nicehash I just say.

every 6 hours or so.  they payout.  I like this a lot.
40429  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: interesting question.... on: December 17, 2014, 11:44:46 AM
Would you still mine bitcoin if the price went under $50 and difficulty stayed the same?

No the loss would be too big.

I would mine at a small loss  especially in the winter.
40430  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 39,457,671,307... The bitcoin Fairy on: December 17, 2014, 11:40:38 AM
I love my S4's more and people said they wouldn't ROI!!

I'm making .18 BTC every 6 hours on westhash!  Shocked Shocked

yeah by the way  nicehash is their partner  and if you write your pools like this  screen shot you do quite nicely

In this example I use 0.075 for one then 0.074 for the other    normal rate is 0.012- 0.014

If you can not stay on top of your gear you can do p=0.075  for one and then p= 0.500 for the other

Or variations of that.  If  rollover happens boom the second one is still good.  This is a great Christmas present okay Holiday present for us

40431  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Which pool on: December 17, 2014, 11:30:52 AM
Right now for the next 2 to 3 days nicehash and westhash  will earn a lot. See my sig link

they are a rental service you point say an s-3 at them look at my s-3   my price settings are in the password column p=0.75

then a rollover to the other one  p=0.074

look at rental prices   very inflated as a lot of people are renting to mine paycoin hoping that paycoin will be better then BTC

before this 'rush' started prices were 0.012-  0.014 a th

now prices are 0.0700 to 0.1315   this will last for 2-3 days take it while you can

40432  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: December 17, 2014, 11:22:06 AM
yes another reason to get more.  If this tests out well I can put 2 in my attic for the next 4 months.

40433  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: December 17, 2014, 10:55:13 AM
I got mine. Pics tomorrow or whenever. Have not yet plugged it in.

40434  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies SP20 review - A Green miner with a Loud fan on: December 17, 2014, 09:25:43 AM
Thank you for the review.

Thank you too for letting us review such a great product!

Before I started to operate SP20, I thought this kind of products are just like many other miners on the market: You stack them up in a mining farm and pay lots of electricity and cooling cost, and sell the coins to cover these cost, and bring down the bitcoin exchange rate during the process. I even planned to give it to friends who are interested in bitcoin after this review

But after seeing the stunning efficiency of this miner, I'm very impressed. I had a feeling that the old good mining time is back: With this unit running at 500W, the electricity cost is neglectable, so anyone can just hold on to all the mined coins without selling a bit

Now I'm very interested to run it for an extensive period of time with a modified cooling solution

so far no  one has found a better fan solution.  I do think if you fully tear the machine down it could be cooled quieter.

  Right now I have six.
  I wish I ordered more.
I would try lower downclock then my 1350gh and 750 watts.
  your review means my 6 x 750 watt = 4.5kwatts and 6 x 1350 = 8100gh  could read
  6 x 440 watts = 2.6 kwatts and 6 x 940 = 5640gh

I can do more then the 6.  I will look forward to any idea you have to manage  noise.

This may a question that has been answered but what is the price to ship an sp20 to the midwest usa (more or less)

trying to figure out if I want to dive in and get an sp20 ..running the mining operation I have as biz so can get
equip depreciation (IRS considers them computers) 5yrs 100% deductible off gross income thus a real (eventually)
25% off towards $$$ paid in real taxes (20% equip depreciation a year off gross income) after my 5 year plan on the biz.

anyway with that in consideration and likely no more home miners out of spondoolies in the future
figure I may just jump in..but need an idea more/less of what the shipping would be to get the real
price with the $50 coupon.

my zip is 56003 in case spindoolies on here is reading this and have access to such data

thanks

$119 to TX (77005)

thanks just needed a ball park figure

if you buy one net is 728 after the coupon of 50 bucks.

if you buy 2 net is 714 after the coupon of 50 bucks. the coupon is 50 bucks either way but shipping for 2 is only 160

I self moderate.  As I really almost never need to  but just in case some one curses or insults too much.

please do not reply until I really start it.  Thanks

look like new diff is 39.4  with 1 block to go.  Unless we get a hour long block

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

okay bitcoincharts has it at about -0.12%

bitcoinwisdom has it at about -0.32%

So with wed thur and fri to go with the paycoin rush .  rates will stay low.  I really want to see what happens say

sat 21  do we jump 5% in a day?
40438  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Dec 2 to Dec 16th diff thread. ( +0.15%) to (+0.92%) on: December 17, 2014, 04:28:43 AM
1 block to go and (-1.36%)

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

new diff will be 39.4  or less depends on how long the last block takes.

and done http://www.bitcoincharts.com/  new diff is 39,457,671,307 a drop of (-1.38%)

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty   (-0.32%)  new prediction

thread is locked here is the new one

40439  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: December 17, 2014, 04:19:50 AM
My two SP20's are in a my small warehouse with people and phones in it.  They pleasantly run all day with a fan speed of 30 with similar under-clock settings to what you have shared, Philip (and thank you for that!).  I haven't tried 20 because I've been content with 30.  They purr along at 1330 and 1375, the 1375 on less power too - just a more efficient machine.  The past few days I have cranked the power and fans up when we leave for the day, and back down to the above when we return in the morning.  The over-clock versus under-clock is moot in the recent hashing economy.

However, speaking of over versus under clocking, I did some maths the weekend before last, when BTC was at $375 USD.  I figured then, that from a profit standpoint, if your power costs were below $0.135 kw/h over-clocking made more money.  At $0.14 kw/h, and above, under-clocking was more profitable.  If I recall, I used 936 kw per month for OC, and 518 kw per month for UC.

The SP20's dropped in price today because I bought three more yesterday.  You're welcome.  Wink

I have had this happen more then once to me.   Ice fury usb sticks killed me and gridseed blades were bad.

But in the case of sp20's  My timing was good.  all six are mining now during the paycoin rush.  Oh I tried 1 firmware update and set the fans to 20.  pretty nice
40440  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: December 17, 2014, 02:00:55 AM
I've experimented with hacking the sp20 to fan speeds below those supported. When the device isn't overclocked (0.66v max) it seems to run fine at 20% fanspeed without overheating despite ambient temps today being in the high 20s. Noise is always an issue and this helps a little.

could you pm instructions or a guideline for this?

@ spondoolies-tech

a 20%  and a 30% option are really good for this gear if you can put these in  a new firmware please do so.

I have 6 units now  all with low clocks.  I would go for as many as eight if I could do lower fan's via your settings page.

My lower clocked machine are around 620 watts
 1189 gh

this runs on a seasonic 760 watt plat psu and it is pleading with you for a 20 or 30 % fan firmware upgrade

I second this request. Fan setting of 20 and 30 would be great.

Fan speeds of 20 and 30 are available now.  Firmware version 2.5.33

  solid  really nice.

I will wait just a bit to do them.  Sat the 21st comes to mind.
