4061  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far below $10k in 2021? on: March 26, 2021, 03:42:13 PM
Even the price will dump someday, I was not thinking that it goes back to the dip low again. As we look at the chart, we can see that there is no such huge change happen. From $50k it dumps to $30k plus, and it has given no chance to drop below $20k, instead, it rises back strong and making all the way to the new ATH.

I realize I haven't been here that long, but this post of yours seems to be a bunch of bullshit. Well, that's the way it looks to me.
Where did you see the dump from $ 50k to $ 30k (not to mention $ 20k)? Are you sure you're talking about the Bitcoin price here?

4062  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.0.9 Receive Address Problems on: March 26, 2021, 03:12:06 PM
I don't know how I missed it, but I have just seen that New Address tab. Must have been there all the time, probably even in the older version. Not used for a long time and getting quite forgetful.
Thanks.

Hello malcolmfoster, welcome to the forum.
Electrum is a powerful Bitcoin wallet and offers many advanced features. The user interface is more utilitarian than aesthetically pleasing. That is the price we must pay for such an extensive feature set. You can tailor the Electrum interface to your needs by choosing View from the menu bar, where you can show/hide additional tabs such as the one that displays your addresses.

Maybe an older version of Electrum app didn't show that tab by default, so you didn't notice it before. Anyway, as others have mentioned before me, all of the addresses listed there are yours, and you can use them to receive coins.
4063  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Avrobit exchange (and all yellow clones) Alert on: March 26, 2021, 12:33:23 PM
Basically hope this helps others not invest here if it is absolutely a scam as it sounds like it. Also I have one question can I get this looked into legally and say I had a good lawyer would they be able to get the BTC/$ value out of the exchange or the people responsible? Since it is still a crime.

I know it’s not likely but I figure I ask here where the best knowledge is at 😚 thanks

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss. The crypto universe is full of such scam attempts, and you must be extra vigilant not to fall for them.
This type of scam has been around for a long time and it is (sometimes) important to use common sense. It defies logic for random internet person to send you a message and offer you a free BTC worth thousands of dollars.

This is well explained in this topic by Royse777: List of (un)known methods scammers user to scam users with honorable mention

Deposit before withdrawing
It mostly happens in gambling section but I have seen people coming up with currency exchange service and try this method.
The trick is very easy. You will see an ANN or service announcement of a new website out of nowhere. You will be given X amount of free BTC to try their website. You will spend those fee BTC and play games in their site. Instantly you will find yourself very lucky. You will make Y times of the X and once you will request a withdrawal they will ask you to deposit Z amount BTC. Once you will contact the support they will give this explanation that the primary deposit is required to verify your account. I have seen people to be trapped and lose their money. Do not send any single satoshi to anyone who will come to you with this method. Stay away, you have been warned.

As for legal actions, I’m not sure what you can do about it.  Scammers have most certainly ensured that they are difficult to identify, making it difficult to determine their location or true identity.
4064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? Why? on: March 26, 2021, 11:50:26 AM
The only people who will be happy If Bitcoin drops for as low as $10,000 is the people who missed buying at the bottom, and those who are hoping to buy again at the bottom.

Yes, they may be happy but I believe they will miss the boat again and will not buy at those levels either. Some people will simply never learn, not even from their own mistakes.
4065  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upcoming Market Prediction (Market heading for a great downfall) on: March 26, 2021, 11:44:40 AM
It's obvious that current market will be bearish after sometimes. It won't be surprising for us if we remain ready for it. But when bears will take over bulls nobody can say that with certanity, it can be month or year.
We are still in bullish trend, of course, the down price will coming, during this bullish season I see we meet lots of down tren but I never see happens for a month, realistic just for a week. So even for a month never, and you say year?? Bullish season still early bro, it makes no sense to say it will be for a year

What I always like to suggest to this kind of nonsense written in OP: "Just zoom out!"  Cheesy
4066  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 reasons why BTC will unlikely trade below $50,000 in the near term on: March 26, 2021, 11:35:52 AM
Whether it won't drop below $50k or it will, we have been on a great deal already since the start of his year and I hope it lasts until next year.

I think the same. It dipped to the $50,000 support area but managed to recover quickly. Overall, BTC remains supported on the downside. Momentum indicators flashed red, signaling a possibility of a corrective rally in the short term, but also indicating potential gains in the long run.
4067  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? Why? on: March 25, 2021, 07:00:41 PM
but the possibilities always there, we witnessed this things happened way back and the bounce take place after that huge fall,
maybe same thing or maybe it won't go that far anymore.

Yes, the price was low. But given a long enough run up in the market, a significant drop is inevitable. The market will test the price again.
The $51k price was just that, a price at which the market would test the price to be down. But that drop is almost guaranteed for it to go up even higher after that.
Buying a coin at the current price of $51k makes a lot of sense at the moment, but just wait for that pump to happen. It might not come tomorrow or even this week, but I do believe it will.
4068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? Why? on: March 25, 2021, 12:46:26 PM
The real question, which category you are now?

I don't have many coins and don't have much fiat but I'm stil happy.
You Don't Need Money to Be Happy! Cheesy
4069  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far below $10k in 2021? on: March 25, 2021, 12:00:38 AM
If you're familiar with good math and science and have done the work to confirm using good sources, then you know bitcoin will be below $10k sometime in 2021 <---fact.

How is that a fact? According to Wikipedia "A fact is an occurrence in the real world."
At best, this is just a subjective opinion.
4070  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic IV on: March 24, 2021, 11:37:18 PM
So long story short, I think these companies like bitcoin, Elon even said they are not planning on selling the bitcoins they make from the sale of these cars, so I think it is safe to say federal reserve chairman was wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

The main point here is this is new and exciting. Hopefully, consumers will see value in the product and not be put off by government is attempting to regulate or tell them what they can and cannot do. So far, so good.
4071  Economy / Reputation / Re: Alts Adriano2010, dandan1010 & costeljj cheating forum and other givaways on: March 23, 2021, 11:43:09 PM
Anyway looks like you don't understand and if a lawyer will take action we will see after time who was right and who no.

Dude, that evidence against you is overwhelming, so I'm not sure why you're still trying, but best of luck.
It is statistically impossible for 36 of your referred accounts to have the same browser fingerprint as you unless you are using some fingerprint masking technique. Obviously, you have no idea how fingerprinting works and have attempted, but failed, to exploit the system.

I have to agree with TheQuin on this. Even if there is no fingerprinting, other evidence is enough to get you banned at most casinos. This is an obvious multi-accounting and faucet abuse.

4073  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 13-Mar-21] on: March 21, 2021, 12:07:02 PM
I don't think the Coinremitter campaign is CFNP yet. One member has been accepted into another campaign, so the campaign, I believe, still has open spots in the spreadsheet.

Sheet has been added to the OP, check it to see if you made it in. I may have 1-2 more open spots, so everyone apply.
4074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Strategies best used to play plinko game on: March 21, 2021, 11:09:28 AM
agree with that if the plinko game is more about luck, but it's not at all 100% reliable because it could be that the system experiences an error or disturbance so that the ball we drop moves slowly and always leads to the lowest value.

I don't think the speed of the ball (caused by interference from the client side) has anything to do with the outcome. The outcome of each bet is calculated from the server side via a provably fair algorithm and the result is already known at the time you click play. The same is true for all respectable casinos and no interference in the client or network can affect the outcome of the bet.
4075  Other / Off-topic / Re: What time do you go to bed? on: March 21, 2021, 10:54:52 AM
Also I don't think that Elon musk sleeps only 4 hours a day. He has a lot of people who are doing the work for him.

Here, I found that quote for you so that there are no more doubts.  Wink

Elon Musk: "I sleep 'about 6 hours' a night – 'I tried less, but total productivity decreases'"
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/12/elon-musk-ceo-of-tesla-spacex-on-getting-six-hours-of-sleep.html

I am also somewhere in that range. 6-7 hours of sleep a day is more than enough for me.
4076  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you miss those nights ? on: March 21, 2021, 10:48:12 AM
Splitscreen was a major part of my childhood. At the same time, easy to ghost one another since everyone's looking at the same screen Grin

Exactly. That's why I've always preferred classic LAN multiplayer games. Especially for FPS like CoD and CS.
I miss those days (nights). Wink
4077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OSCARS 2021- Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: March 21, 2021, 10:40:52 AM
Like even before, Heath Ledger dies before Dark knight's release, this is the same situation, I guess Chadwick Boseman will be the Best Actor in oscar 2021.

Yeah, I totally forgot that Chadwick Boseman is the first posthumous Oscars acting nominee since Heath Ledger.
He was also an excellent actor who, unfortunately, left us too soon. RIP  Cry

4078  Economy / Reputation / Re: The AdkinsBET Army of Alts on: March 21, 2021, 10:34:32 AM
Still worth reporting.  They'll get a warning, then a temp ban on the bumping account, and then if an alt of that account keeps posting perm ban on all.

I agree. The more reports admins receive, the more attention they will pay to that topic, and hopefully, punish those fake members and spammers.
4079  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin back to $ 10,000? on: March 21, 2021, 10:27:57 AM
I agree, I know that people now want to have the chance to buy once again at that price but they had months or even years to buy for a price that was way below that and they did not took advantage of it, people need to just accept the reality of this, that price is never going to come back and they have to take a difficult decision, they buy bitcoin right now at a very high price or they wait for a correction or a crash to come so they can buy for a cheap price with the disadvantage that the price could skyrocketing while they wait.

No one can say for sure what will happen in the future. The Bitcoin price may seem high at the moment, but it may look like a good price to enter in a few months or a year. Imagine what the current price will look like when Bitcoin is at 100k levels. I'm sure many will regret not buying it before. Just as many regret about past times but it never occurred to them to buy when bitcoin broke 20k earlier this year.

Personally, I love that famous saying: The best time to buy bitcoin was "yesterday" and the second best is "today"! Wink
4080  Other / Off-topic / Re: Alleviating pain from a burn? on: March 20, 2021, 12:20:17 AM
Pain can be relieved by placing a clean wet cloth or compress over the burn area. Take a pain reliever like ibuprofen or naproxen if the pain is severe. Make sure you're getting the right dosage from the instructions.
