4061  Economy / Goods / Anyone looking for any giftcards? on: May 22, 2012, 01:35:02 AM
Hello, I'm looking to buy some bitcoins, and am planning to go out and buy some giftcards I can sell tomorrow. So I figured before I go out and buy amazon codes, Id ask if there are any that people are looking for. If so, pm me or leave a reply, we can work something out, and then I'll get them tomorrow.

Ah, very cool, now I have another card to look for... Dammit.
4063  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB Old Pokemon Cards on: May 22, 2012, 12:48:47 AM
I had the 2nd rarest card in the game - a Ninetales error card (no attack value 80 printed on it).  Recently sold it for $250... not bad!  Everything else of my collection I sold when I was 14 or 15, but I kept that one card hoping it'd be worth a lot someday.

Nice, when did you sell it? I see the only one on Ebay right now is $150. My new goal is to own every single card, of every edition and variety.
4064  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: So hot! Gah! on: May 22, 2012, 12:25:37 AM
Anybody else shut down because of the heat wave?
Yeah, it hit 70'F this weekend outside, and my room was getting to be 75. So I had to open the windows. Problem fixed.

Living in Maine is awesome.

What area are you from? Most of my family is from Maine.

Its been about 80 degrees in my area, I have A.C, but I don't turn it on until June, when it starts hitting 100.
4065  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Electricity! How its killing me? What to do for power!? on: May 21, 2012, 11:50:33 PM
You could always create a small nuclear powerplant in your yard.

But Solar is an incredibly cheap method in California. I live in Maryland, and was looking at Solar Panels to power my entire house, and for $40,000 I could set everything up. Plus there is a quite high tax rebate if you buy solar panels. My calculations showed the Solar Panels would pay themselves off in 4-6 years, and thats with some of the cheapest electricity in the country at $.07/KWH.
4066  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] "Up to par" Laptop on: May 21, 2012, 08:35:00 PM
The hard drive may or may not come with it

Does that depend on whether you can find your CP eraser?
4067  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB Old Pokemon Cards on: May 21, 2012, 07:41:27 PM
Uhmm, about 10 BTC so far, with a few other 10 BTC deals in the works. Iv got a decent amount of very nice cards, and I thank all of the sellers who want to see me act like a 8 year old when I open up my packages, and see all of the old pokemon cards.

If I didn't mention it in this thread, I may have in another related thread, but Mushroomized is my neighbor, and he said If I don't start playing pokemon with him, he would beat me, so for the sake of my body, sell me those cards!
4068  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB Old Pokemon Cards on: May 21, 2012, 07:35:41 PM
I have to say, I didn't quite expect so many PMs so quickly, I'm definitely not complaining, as I'm loving all of these old cards popping up. I'm still pretty much buying any of the old cards so if you have any for sale, feel free to pm me. I'll start being selective once I have all of the cards Iv ordered in hand, so hurry up if you have them and want to sell them all.
4069  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan for Pre ordered parts on: May 21, 2012, 04:27:39 PM
I would now say with 95% confidence that you are a scammer.
4070  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan for Pre ordered parts on: May 21, 2012, 01:02:08 PM
I'm willing to give personal info if need be as I don't have a passport or ID on me (lost it) like name, dob, how to repay. I plan to repay by getting down payments from my customers as well as mining it off once I have the bitforce singles.

You lost your ID and passport? That's probably not a good thing to say... And I don't really believe that anyone could lose their ID and Passport, and still have time to request a loan for an online business. You would spend a lot more time talking with local police, and freezing your credit before something went horribly.

I can give all of the things you listed even without ever planning on building computers

Name : Tom Jones (not really)
DOB : 4/20/2018 (yes I was born in the future)
I plan on repaying your loan by selling computers, if this doesn't work, I'll just start selling drugs to repay the investors.

The information that you are willing to give doesn't really help investors at all.

ANDDDD

Hello,
I'm looking for a loan to start my business of selling premade computers that people can mine with. It's a very recent business (so there is no web page up yet). I've got a few orders of computers that have the bitforce singes featured in them.I'd like a loan that can cover an order of 5 bitforce singles (5 customer pre orders)

I'm willing to give personal info if need be as I don't have a passport or ID on me (lost it) like name, dob, how to repay. I plan to repay by getting down payments from my customers as well as mining it off once I have the bitforce singles.

You said the loan was to buy the Bitforce Singles for your customers, but you say you plan to repay the investors by mining with the Bitforce Singles.

My interpretation of this loan request is, you are under 18 and want some BFLs to mine. I'm not necessarily calling you a scammer, as you very well could intend to pay back the loans with the BTC mined, but I believe you are not being honest in your loan request.
4071  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling Wurm Online silver (currency). on: May 21, 2012, 12:23:45 PM
Oh god Wurm... I thought it would be cool, so I started playing. After the 2 hour tutorial, I was pretty excited, the game looked incredibly fun, very realistic, interesting features, etc. I go into one of the worlds, and there are bodies lying everywhere, I find an abandoned town, start looking around, and there are 20 or so bodies scattered on the ground, and lots of dead giant spiders and some wolves inside of a fence. So I start asking the 4 people online how to get to New Brotopia, and start messing around, asking a lot of questions, and then everyone gets mad just because I want to make my own town named Nazi Germany. I thought it would be cool, and it was even cooler than I thought Cheesy my crappy laptop didn't run it very well though.
4072  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB Old Pokemon Cards on: May 21, 2012, 12:12:57 PM
I have at least 200 cards. Are you interested?

Yes, yes I am, PM sent.

Damn, I used to have the first edition holo-foil Blastoise. It's probably worth a lot of money nowadays but it is gone forever Sad

Why Blastoise? WHYYY!!!??

Cry I would have bought that up in a second, I decided I'm going to complete my childhood dream of having a complete collection (Of the old cards) including one of each card, and one of each 1st edition card, one of each holofoil, and one of all of those types from the original sets. I have a feeling this won't be pleasant.
4073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CommyCoins! on: May 21, 2012, 11:25:21 AM
With 1 coin being the max that can be produced, difficulty factors, and block rates, I can see the one CommyCoin being worth billions. That's what I call strong. Bitcoins are $5, but a lot of people think they will reach $10-20. Well, doesn't the CommyCoin seem to be a much better investment? Possibly $20 vs Possibly $1,000,000,000? It's a no brainer!

Seems legit. But I question the name - commy coins? When you retain 75% of the coins? This is completely against the ideas espoused in the Communist Manifesto. A better name would be Fascist coins, or Republicoins.

HTH

I'm quite sure CommyCoins is an accurate name. You all work for a single (government owned, *cough cough* owned by me) pool where all of your wages and earnings are controlled by a central overseer (me) and I have a small advisory board (my foreman) to help weigh in on decisions, even though I make the final ultimate decisions. In an attempt to not take away from the main meaning and proposal of the project, I will allow you to call the coins whatever you like, as long as I approve, else you will be executed for conspiracy.
4074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CommyCoins! on: May 21, 2012, 10:58:21 AM
sub

Feature Request:
- First 16 Million coins PreMined to increase Network Strength! All coins go to the sole owner.

There will only be 1 coin, so I guess I could premise like .5, And the vodka is Popov.

When I say 75% goes to a node only I have acess too, I mean those are my personal coins, and the other 25% can be used on vodka or hookers.
4075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / CommyCoin! on: May 21, 2012, 02:49:05 AM
Alright, so I just had a great idea. My vision is to create a type of coin, somewhat like solidcoins, but even more radical! I will name them CommyCoin. Here's how they work, it will be the basic mine the block, get coins structure, BUT! The max amount of coins ever to enter production? 1. Yes you heard it, there will only ever be one coin! The difficulty will be aproximately 1,000,000x higher than Bitcoin, and each block will contain .00000001 CommyCoins per block. There will only be one pool, and I will be the sole owner. 75% of the coins will go to a node account that only I have access to, and the other 25% will go to another of my accounts. But you may ask, how will I buy goods and services with my CommyCoins? Well first off, the only good offered will be cheap Vodka, and the only service, a cheap prostitution service. Much like the pimp hoe relationship, I will have the miner with the highest hash be my "Foreman" shall we say, and they will be in charge of hearing requests of the other miners. My foreman will then tell me, "so and so has been mining for you for 10 years, at 50GHash, and would like to request a bottle of Vodka". I will then take into consideration the amount of work they have done, and whether they deserve the reward. If they ask prematurely, your progress in my books will be reset, and you can try again in 12 years. If I feel you deserve the reward, you shall get your vodka or cheap hooker, and again, your slate will be wiped until you can again claim your prize. How is this better than the other coins? There will be no transaction fees, all of the fees will be covered by me. And unlike any other coin, it is scam proof and you never have to worry about losing your coins, as I will be holding them. If anyone is interested in partaking, sub your interest and I will begin right away on the best investment in crypto currency ever!!!

Can I get the eyelashes for myself, and tape them to my eyebrows, and make people go, "What the Hell?"
4078  Economy / Auctions / Re: trolledhard.com, twitter, etc [1 week] on: May 21, 2012, 12:26:16 AM
I think the problem is

With memecenter, 9gag and cheezburger being huge these days

I don't know what any of those things are, mostly because I blocked them from my mind, but they sound horrific.
