4061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye, privacy, goodbye, it was nice while it lasted. on: May 21, 2022, 10:12:40 PM
After this horrible thing happened it is great for at least the UK is out of the Eurozone and there are a couple of exchanges there which can offer to withdraw money to your bank account or a crypto wallet that you own,Cex being one of them and I did a transaction as a test compared to other exchanges in the EU,it passed without problems to my bank account the money and also to my crypto wallet.I think we need more countries like this who do not give a damn about what Europe does.
I am not entirely sure, Europe is just way too big to ignore, I get that people could continue to do whatever they want if they are not in Europe, but I doubt governments could get a better economical situation if they just simply get Europe against them.

You have two options, either make the crypto people in your nation happy while facing Europe, or you could act natural to Europe and try to get help from them financially while facing your crypto people. I think most nations will pick Europe over their own crypto people. Doesn't mean that it is the right choice, but it is the known choice and they will go with the devil you know type of deal instead.
It's just a matter of time until every countries in the world have their own strict regulations against crypto. Actually, it was already expected to happen in 2022 since years ago, including in my country, which isn't in Europe. I'm also fearful about the decisions being taken by authorities, because it's certain common users will suffer the most, be it through abusive taxes, excessive bureaucracy or total invasion of privacy.

The only example of country we have which apparently stood against bureaucrats interests was El Salvador and they are in a very delicate situation with IMF. The bureaucrats used El Salvador example to teach a lesson to another countries not follow the same steps of the small central american country. Unfortunatelly they may have success, because what countries would be crazy to exchange the support and loans from IMF for adopting a friendly stance towards a volatile digital currency which can bring losses on short-medium term for investors?
4062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: May 21, 2022, 09:13:07 PM
It's normal the body reacts somehow during moments of decision, high tension and excitation. I've never reached to a point of feeling pain in my stomach, but usually I do feel my heart beating faster, hands become cold and start sweating. It's not possible to control those reactions in my case and they don't cease until the situation is causing them finishes. That is, when the gambling session ends.

Anyway, I guess it's not bad at all. It means we have powerful emotions and that we are living for real. It would be much worse to be a cold as ice individual, immune to every feelings, sensations and emotions life can proportionate us, existing like a robot or a psychopath, LOL!
4063  Economy / Gambling / Re: I want to make a telegram live betting group… on: May 21, 2022, 07:06:26 PM
Sorry but I think this is not needed anymore because within this forum we already have so-called gambling discussion. Not this current one here where you posted your thread but it was located under the child boards. Here's a direct link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=228.0 what is good with it is that you can find specific games.

The group you are creating seem to be a combination of sports and casino but there is no categorization of the games? I think the convo won't flow properly that way. Some gambling sites also have built their own communities aside from this forum bitcointalk. You can just join there if you wanted too. Overall, this was only my opinion. The decision is still on you if you want to continue with your plans. Goodluck.
Yes, all discussions regards sports, casino games, predictions, strategies, advices, news can be done on this forum through public threads where everyone have access to, instead of a telegram group which will be restricted to few individuals. The forum is much more embracing, accessible and organized to discuss gambling matters.

If OP wants to talk about a match, its odds and opinions on who is going to win, he can simply create a thread at the board you linked on your post above. Moreover, I think he has more chances of finding solid arguments and predictions on this forum than at a random telegram group where its members don't have a history like members of bitcointalk forum have in gambling section.
4064  Economy / Economics / Re: The truth about economy and crash on: May 21, 2022, 03:37:24 AM
Of course whales and institutional investors want to see the market in fear and despair, because that is how they acquire cheap coins and make huge profit over others' innocence, ignorance and fragile emotions. That is why investors shouldn't sell their bitcoins during times like this. Just keep holding, because you never know when those whales are going to feed crypto market with their money again to boost prices upside.

On the other hand, bad news regards war, hunger and poverty aren't inventions. It is actually the reality of some places in the world and they shouldn't be neglected or ignored, otherwise they can become a pandemic just like covid did and knocking at our doors at some point...
4065  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Bet: A wider Array of Altcoins are being usef on: May 21, 2022, 12:40:56 AM
Altcoins may be getting a little more popular in comparison to last year's Q1. But it's undeniable bitcoin's dominance is still overwhelming, as we can see on the article provided by OP:

Interesting that eth's usage has increased 3,45%, even though it has the most expensive fees of crypto market for transactions.

Anyway, it is expected crypto influence in gambling industry continues rising faster and faster from now on, since the marketing is so strong and the promotions very competitive.
4066  Economy / Economics / Re: Using plants as a savings account on: May 20, 2022, 10:45:08 PM
That is a very good idea. I've already done it once, but sadly, I lacked the investment to purchase bigger pots to replace the small pots from the seedlings. As the plants/trees grow you have to transplant them into bigger pots. That is unfortunate, but each plastic big pot is absurdly expensive here and the only option was to purchase on the internet, which turned into being even more expensive, because the transport fees.

Now I'm thinking about bottles of wine. I've heard it's a very profitable investment on long run. In fact, more profitable than assets. If you have a good taste for wines, know the grapes and the wineries, that might be a good idea for you!
I know people love plants. I did a venture a few years ago too - and I was profitable too. But I feel ill and I didn't have another back support and most of my plants died. This is very good small business idea. If you have a sunny space and a back up support as well. I would love to do it again when I have an investment.
Some plants need more care and are more fragile than others. These are problematic to grow, so I prefer the resistant ones, especially trees. I think fruit trees are a great choice, because even if you fail selling them, you can still gather fruits from them for yourself from times to times and maybe sell the fruits as well. There are some people who grow those fruit trees on the small areas of their apartments, so it's really executable, but as you said, a sunny spot is a must, otherwise they won't develop and will have diseases, especially due to fungus.

4068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a Myth and not Real on: May 20, 2022, 04:53:36 AM
Well, I love dissenting opinions because it shape arguments or opinions. The poster's point of argument is as well as others who are opposing it. Possibly, the op is one who has read extensively in finance and economics and is quite conservative. It doesn't mean he is wrong. I feel that if the op can keep an open mind about Bitcoin and Satoshi for a split second, he or she might get to understand the concept of cryptocurrencies and may even be a proponent of it.
Well, I keep an open mind. That's why I am saying what I am saying. And of course, I cannot be the proponent of something I have never ever saw. I see people showing me their mobile apps, with some numbers on the screen. Sometimes these numbers are zero sometimes greater than zero. They say that they paid money to have the latter. But they have never ever showed me some digital coins in the quantity indicated with these numbers. Then I see people who spend electricity to keep the system running. They say they are paid for their investment of electricity with bitcoins. But again, all they are able to show me are those numbers that change in their mobile apps. No bitcoins, no coins, no assets, nothing digital, nothing tangible or intangible in their possession. So, I see people participating in a scheme where they're paying money or spending electricity to get numbers changed in their mobile apps. A I see people fantasizing about some valuable, precious and scarce coins that no one ever saw.
Drawing an analogy, if people are only paying money to get numbers changed in their digital wallets, I think I could say we work in our daily life to earn paper, when being paid in fiat. And that fiat doesn't exist at all, it's just paper which contains numbers and people are wasting their time working, because you know, it's just paper... Therefore maybe money doesn't exist, all the forms of money are just numbers written in blank notes created by men who didn't know what they were doing and didn't have any knowledge about how an efficient economical system works...

Being so extremist, only a plain and simple barter system would make sense.
4069  Economy / Gambling / Re: I want to change my email address. on: May 20, 2022, 03:25:52 AM
I have an issue for several days already and I've been patiently waiting, but support doesn't reply, neither at forum, neither through email.

I don't know what to do anymore. Those are the contact channels I'm aware of... Support has been always very solicitous, but not this time.

I don't have the ability to work 24/7 and sometimes I even have to take a few days off. I also prioritise serious problems over confusion with offers. ie. In this instance, if hundreds of people report not getting extra RP or whatever was offered in an email then I know something went wrong. If one person reports it I know they just misunderstood it and I really don't have time to make an in-depth investigation.
Does it mean I'm not going to receive a reply from support clarifying the issue?

I think deep investigations aren't needed. The situation in question is clear and quite simple. In case it's a fault from my side, it shouldn't be hard to explain me what I've misunderstood. Some attention and good will are enough. Since you are too busy, maybe is there someone else on support team who could help?
4070  Economy / Economics / Re: Share your Money management strategy on: May 20, 2022, 01:34:37 AM
My strategy is to invest in bitcoin, ignore most altcoins and earn passive income from my assets while waiting for long term returns once the market skyrockets. It takes a long time until seeing the funds growing in value and sometimes during the bearish season it's possible to think you want to give up, but after the winter, there is always the spring waiting for us, so I keep confident on my strategy.

By doing this, my goal is to avoid risks of trading frequently and risks of dealing with altcoins, what will inevitably lead to losses at some point. It's not the most profitable of the strategies, but it is relatively safe. I have to take some risk by investing in third party services for passive income, though.
4071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am curious about bounties on: May 19, 2022, 11:50:16 PM
Nowadays, I definitely prefer to participate in bounties that pay out rewards in cryptocurrencies available on the market, and preferably in stable coins. I know in advance what conditions I agree to and for how much I am working for. Unfortunately, the golden times of bounties in the ICO era, where it was possible to earn tens of thousands of dollars on one campaign, are gone and will probably never come back.
That is the best to do. So you can calculate for how long you are going to work at same time you know exactly how much you are going to be paid. That is the only way someone can make sure the task worth to be done or not. Even though it's not possible to earn tons of money in the end, at least there aren't surprises and frustrations after all, like working for a campaign to be rewarded in coins you can't even sell later because the token wasn't listed anywhere, or because developers abandoned the project without finishing.
4072  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most trusted casinos on BTalk on: May 19, 2022, 08:59:12 PM
And do not forget to always research before you joined in a new casino by reading a review from other people so you can know if that casino is the casino that you want. People can say that casino is the best for them but not for you because you want to search for other things. People who joined this forum are lucky because they already have so many good casino lists that have reputations and if they have a problem, they can ask directly on their thread.
That is a very good hint for people looking for casinos where they could play, and in special for those who want to deposit larger amounts of cryptocurrency. Besides reviews articles, I think it's a good idea to check the official main thread of each casino on this forum to conclude if the most recent comments about the casino are positive or negative, to check the official casino account's reputation tab and to check if there are solid accusations against the casino at Scam Accusations section. Another good idea is to make sure the website has active and efficient support, because we never know when we are going to need it...
4073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 44 countries will meet in El Salvador to discuss Bitcoin on: May 19, 2022, 08:42:18 PM
Not a good moment for this meeting.

hosting the meeting is not about the rise and fall of bitcoin volatility neither was it base on the fact that some make looses while others profit from it, no, they have to hold a meeting to deliberate solely about what bitcoin is, it role, and how they can maximize the opportunity in it to boost their economy, remember some discussions were better done in person, hosting a global meeting like this will as well encourages for more adoption, no one is looking at the experience that might have occured in the past but the major role bitcoin has come to in the global economy system.
Imagine you are selling a product and need customers, so you gather hundreds of people in a room to show your product with the final goal of convincing those people to buy it. In order to convince people, you need to show statistics, and practical experiences of those who have already used the product and the product being used live, before the eyes of the public.

That is what Bukele attempted to do, not because he is the owner of bitcoin, but because he has invested million of dollars of public funds on the cryptocurrency, and of course he wants positive returns from it for the good of his country's economy and for the good of his political career.

The issue is that right now he doesn't have positive results to show to the audience regards the practical adoption of bitcoin by El Salvador. Most citizens just grabbed 30$ in btc from Chivo wallet and exchanged it to dollar currency, without using bitcoin after that. Public investments in btc are heavily negative and the whole establishment turned against Bukele, what is really painful for a leader. So, how is he going to convince all those foreigners efficiently bitcoin going legal tender is a good idea on the present moment?

the event should count with the participation of more influent and productive countries

bitcoin has gone beyond showcasing, infact it is not to please anyone or entice any country because it is decentralized and it has made justification to what fiat couldn't do, which is privacy, anonymity and decentralization. if the developed countries are not seeing the opportunity then the developing ones could maximize such to help their citizens and boost the run of their economy.
Developing countries are well known for having corrupt leaders. Actually, citizens from these countries are usually in miserable financial and social situations because of the corruption of their leaders. I can't see how bitcoin being adopted by corrupt authorities would help those citizens. I can talk with property regards this matter, because I'm one citizen from a developing country and to say the truth I would feel unconfortable and suspicious if governors here developed interest for bitcoin.

Not that every tier 1 countries should participate the meeting, but the total lack of developed countries is really frustrating... I think balance is needed.

4075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to grow my wallet? on: May 19, 2022, 03:56:45 AM
Assuming I've made up my mind to hold on to a token for many years but after a year this token hit a new ATH what should I do as a newbie? Sell or not sell?
ATH is a good time to sell your coins and cashout profit. And once the price crashes you reinvest for another round or cycle.

On the other hand, what guarantee do we have the ATH we are seeing is really the ATH? Sometimes the investor thinks the crypto is too expensive and the price won't increase anymore, so he just sell all his coins. However, the crypto continues gaining more and more value, but then it's too late, because the investor has already sold all his holdings. It's a delicate matter and always a cryptocurrency hits its ATH I ask myself if the price couldn't continue rising. When the crypto in question is bitcoin, I become even more doubtful and prefer to just hold, as I think it can get better yet.

When investing in altcoins I'm not too confident about their long term potential, though, so it worths to get rid of them as soon as they hit their ATH.
4076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AN INTERESTING WAY TO INTRODUCE BITCOIN LEARNING TO OUR FUTURE GENERATION on: May 19, 2022, 02:09:03 AM
Once they understand, they can start collecting Bitcoin all by themselves at the permissible age by doing tasks or work they would realize its potential.

This would be a start to teaching kids the power of decentralization and accumulation which will increase its value over the time and will also help parents in inculcating the habit of managing good financial behavior and being financially independent at an early age.
This will be possible futurely when decent crypto online games to earn money becomes a reality. I'm sure kids will love playing, while the smartest ones will save the rewards they receive for the adulthood, with the assistance and guidance of their parents, teachers and masters. I see no problem on this concept, because kids will be learning since an early age how to manage their finances, to be responsible and aware about the reality that can be really harsh if you don't manage every aspects of your life, especially the economical one, properly.

In the past there were nice games for kids, where they could have earned satoshis of bitcoin and have some fun at same time, however, with google adsense ban on crypto sites, these games didn't have how to continue alive, because they have lost the source of income (ads).
4077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: He Lost His Investment. See what Happened! on: May 19, 2022, 12:32:40 AM
When things are just becoming too good to be true, then we should always be alert with that. All those telegrams are just scammers playground and that they will never stop from deceving people especially if they can see that you are just very easy to be manipulated. Learn on your own and gain all the experience, be it losses or gains. You will gain self- advantage in the end.
I've seen so many attempts of this kind in my country since the last bull run. 99% of people claiming to be professional traders, coaches and leaders are scammers. Probably these guys don't even trade anything. It's likely they just run ponzi schemes, using the funds of new investors to pay the oldest ones until the pyramid collapses, once new investments slow down.
It's funny how so called experts lure newbies to invest: they show themselves making hundreds of thousands of dollars daily at platforms like binary options, exhibit luxurious cars, apartments, clothes, accessories, lifestyles... Then they offer e-books for free that will make you rich, but you need to join their telegram group before and bring your friends as well. Sadly, these guys still have fan clubs. Tongue
4078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 18, 2022, 11:09:57 PM
Was the man playing online or at land based casino? If he was going at a physical casino, does it make sense he had to have an account in order to be able to play?

How was the approach of Boyle Sports when offering and tempting him with 50$ free bet promotions? Was it done presentially, through phone calls or email messages? Well, he could have recorded the casino employee tempting him and denounce the gambling house to the responsible authority or just block the email of the casino to stop receiving messages from them. It's shocking it happened during 2 whole years and this gambler didn't have any conscious moment to take action against the issue and to stop abusing the victim.

I think the article lacks further evidences and details needed to help us reach a more accurate conclusion regards this case. Anyway, I don't see this gambler with good eyes, because he caused prejudice to his acquaintance, what means he has no consideration for other people besides himself. For me he looks like a dangerous person for this reason. Moreover, once he got caught he just tried to get rid of the consequences by blaming someone else for his actions (the casino in this case).
I think the man is playing in an online casino because from the article the casino sent him an email with a promotional offer and the man option to go back into gambling, of course, everyone wants free $50 to bet but then one needs self-control. But the act to avoid gambling addiction should be the responsibility of the player, and if the user has an option for self withdrawal and the casino still send him a promotional offer it means the casino is at fault.
I failed to spot the mention to emails on the article. It just says the casino "has sent him him a €50 free bet", so I got confused. Moreover, Boyle Sports is a popular brand in Ireland (where the story happened) and United Kingdom with more than 320 franchises total. It made me thought the man could be betting presentially at one of the houses of the brand. That is why I think the casino's approach to this man should be made more clear by the media covering the case.

"There are reports of rug pull in this project in mainstream media. Please proceed with caution".

CoinGecko is just an informative site. They are right in detailing every cryptocurrencies of the market indiscriminately. There are no issues by doing this, especially because they display a warning message on the top of the screen. We could argue the message should be more highlighted or the text more emphatic, but scams are also part of the history and shouldn't be forgotten or ignored. Instead, we should learn and keep them alive in our memories to not fall for similar offers in the future.
4080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 44 countries will meet in El Salvador to discuss Bitcoin on: May 18, 2022, 08:13:26 PM
Not a good moment for this meeting. The timing is wrong and it can give the impression El Salvador is despaired after the last bitcoin crash which lead the country investment in btc's losses to tens of millions of dollars. How can this fact look persuasive in a meeting that is supposed to push adoption upside in emerging countries? The reality is showing exactly the opposite.

And frankly, the event should count with the participation of more influent and productive countries to give credibility to itself and especially to bitcoin...
