Well I've just put you on ignore for making that stupid great post. We aren't kids here, and we don't need kindergarten pictures to be added to posts.
Also, just imagine the state of this forum if every member posted a thank you for getting a merit.

Radical Islam is destroying the acceptance and credibility of Islam in the world. The muslim communities need to try to control radical Islam before it destroys the religion.

Our preparations should be focused on protecting ourselves from the damaging high frequency microwaves that 5g demands. The other problems derive from the loss of privacy.

He probably had airdropped merits, but there are others who have bought accounts, and then deleted posts which may have received merits through merit abuse. Deleting a post doesn't remove the associated merits, and I think that is one of the minor failings in the merit system.

Can I log in my bitcointalk account in many PC and IP address ? I have to travel a lot so my IP and log in device is not fixed. Will I get red trust account for this ? I have a very mobile lifestyle, and use a wide variety of connections, including public WiFi. library ethernet, and mobile tethering. Also I use a variety of computers and smartphones. I have never had any problems with my BT account as a result of this. Of course I have had some difficulties with connecting via a few ISPs, and I understand that other members can have problems if they are using privacy services.

I have a question about posting. Can you tell me where to post the right topic? My post is usually deleted but I don't know why
That's a dificult one to answer without seeing some samples of deleted posts. You need to look through the rules, and you should be able to get an ideas of the reasons - for example - off topic, incorrect information, self-moderated thread, etc, One example of incorrect information is this post of yours Just my opinion, I think that is because Bitcoin is used for criminal and money laundering Due to the traceability of Bitcoin transactions, criminal use has reduced recently, and fiat banking, cash, gold and other methods are more common in association with illegal activities.

I'm not suggesting removing the history.I'm a great supporter of the preservation of history and culture. I'm really talking about the 100,000 or so immigrants who are arriving here every month.

I did give you a couple of merits, but I think there is one important factor that you didn't cover, and that is the discovery of good posts. There are quite a few members who are quietly contributing to the forum, and adding good comments to threads. Unfortunately, many of them are posting on the "wrong" boards, or in the "wrong" threads, and often they are being swamped by the "wrong" posters spraying graffiti. As well as encouraging good posting, I think it would be beneficial if we could take some action to reduce the three wrongs mentioned.

Without using any of the tools to obscure internet activity, how are you going to track me in the following situation.
Set up a node using public WiFi, and a copy of the blockchain I've already downloaded. Receive Bitcoin into that wallet. Use the Bitcoin to purchase gold coins. Wipe the hard drive on the computer with the core node.

Well many good members start by being readers, and only become posters when they feel comfortble about their knowledge of the forum, and I think that is something that should be encouraged. There have been 386,998 new members between the time the 2 millionth registrant joined and the registration of jetaid - that's about 6 months. So the membership list has already been pruned by over 400,000 names so far.
The comment really is about blocking the dormant bots from being activated to spam the boards, and I'm not sure how easy it would be to detect them. If I remember correctly, email activation is not required on joining the forum, and it would seem that that could be a way to reduce the number of bot applications.

I can't stay in the Newbie, I am getting out already
I guess the merit system is working then. It isn't too difficult to make a few decent posts so that you can be a part of the community.

Why do you guys have to keep quoting the opening post? It is really annoying, and it stopped me reading the actual posts. You don't need to keep repeating other people comments in a discussion. You wouldn't do it in a "real life" conversation, so why do you do it here?

We want (I believe we all do) our forum to have quality interactions in all boards. And I think rewarding the little quality in those boards in the sea of spam would encourage that.
I agree with the basic philosophy, but merit awarders should focus on boards that they want to promote and improve in my opinion.

I use a wide variety of public and private WiFi service in a variety of geographic locations, and I also tether with a couple of phones. There must be a long list of IPs associated with my account(s), and I never have any problems as a result of this.
You won't get banned as a result of your IP, but you may have to pay a small charge if you are registering from an IP ( or block ) that has a history of problems.

I feel so inadequate and undeserving of being a legendary. I haven't created one statistical analysis project. It's starting to look as if that is a basic requirement for legendary status.

Nah, few board/section such as Development & Technical Discussion (along with all child-boards), Bitcoin Technical Support and Serious discussion are fine without any spam megathread.
I agree with that, and I would add Ivory Tower. I was thinking of Beginners', Bitcon Discussion, Political, Off topic, and maybe Meta, etc. It would be nice to maintain some interesting flows into some of the threads there.
|
|

Yep - stay on your local board until you have mastered English well enough to read and understand posts, and to reply with reasonably fluid English.
|
|
|
I believe that every board should have a spam megathread. I'd rather the spambies posted in that, rather than pollute all the decent threads. I ignore most threads that have more than 40 or 50 replies, unless they are an interesting tech discussion of course. It would be great if the mods moved the spam they don't want to delete into that thread as well. Who cares if it becomes a garbled string of non sequiturs, I won't be reading it anyway.

Saying that you will only sell an account to a member without any red trust is meaningless. There are so many alts here, that a scammer is bound to have a few without red tags.
I can't think of a reason for anyone other than a bounty spammer or a scammer to buy an account anyway.

I gave few merits away and I never even opened someones history.
You need to look at some posters' history to see if the post is out of character. If it is, then it could indicate a purchased or stolen accout, or possible plagiarism.
