4061  Other / Politics & Society / Re: In France, the party of Macron won the election in the first round. on: June 15, 2017, 05:58:10 PM
Well, you're one of those people when it comes to issues like this. Ouch, well ugh-- all Russia did (if they did it like you claim) was open the eyes of Americans to the intense corruption that was present within the DNC when it came to nominating a nominee for president from their party. Not only that, they had been funneling questions to Clinton for debates in advance. If we were only able to find one trace of this happening yall have to know theres gotta be more of this.

If Russia is doing a bad deed by opening eyes to corruption on the left, I don't think that's bad in the least. You just have a different definition of 'bad deed' than me.
4062  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS is nothing compared to U.S. cops. on: June 15, 2017, 04:22:02 PM
lol what a thread.
US cops are violent that is true, but i think you cannot say that ISIS is better than them lol
Anyway there are many violent cops but not all of them are like this i think, but it is only my opinion.

At least this guy gets it.

People don't understand that in every profession there's going to be some bad eggs in the batch, you can't expect to have clean cut people in every job. Sadly, you're going to get them as well in the Police Force that are a bit too aggressive, maybe too proactive and so on.

But, making a comparison to the US POLICE and a worldwide terrorist organization that makes it their vow to destroy western civilization? That's unreal and that comparison is wildly dumb.

Gosh dude, get a gripe.
4063  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New sanctions against Russia. on: June 15, 2017, 03:12:26 PM
Don't expect relationship between the two countries to warm up anytime soon. They just have so many conflicting interests, especially with their foreign policies.

Yeah, people thought just because a new administration was trying to warm up relations with Russia it doesn't really mean in the least that they're going to be able to get those relations back on track without an issue. It's going to take a lot of time, with all the current news with Russia-Trump and other things these countries really are going to have a tough time getting back to PRE-COLDWAR relations

I didn't see anything about new sanctions at all, but I wouldn't doubt something like this coming out of the Senate.

RIP relations with Russia.
4064  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will Religions die? on: June 14, 2017, 05:58:59 PM
Religions are things that give people hope that life is going to get better, or if it's not going to get better here it's going to get better in another life. This is something that people love to have, they love to have some sort of answer to the questions that people wouldn't be able to answer within normal science means or anything along those lines. People want to know things such as why we're here, or what we're supposed to do on this earth.

Religion, pretty much any religion provides this to people by giving them a set of rules to follow while you're here and if you follow them you're going to get x,y, and z.

So, in short they're never going to die they're just going to evolve.
4065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 14, 2017, 02:53:11 PM
Oh thanks god! Thanks Jihan! Please mine your own coin, please let go off bitcoin.

Another good reason to mine bip148 for miners!

Pretty much this, Jihan is just throwing some dumb threats around right now when it comes to Bitcoin. You can't even say this is a remotely educated one when it comes to BTC mining. Do they think people are going to follow along with them if they're going to be creating an alt coin and trying to make it compete to BTC?

Though, it will allow for more miners to come in and take the place of Jihans.
Typical Chinese manipulation, this is one major bluff.

At first i was happy as fuck but now i'm thinking the same thing.

He will fight to the end. If he had the balls, he would have created his SHA256 alt with 500mb blocks already. He knows that he won't be able to exist without the bitcoin's user base.

He wants to steal that too. The users.

Not just bitcoin. Nobody sees the reality, even the core devs are blind but we will end up with a PoW change. That's inevitable.

Maybe they just want to scare people into selling off Bitcoin, as the majority / close to majority hasher in the BTC network is going to leave that should scare a good amount of people. Who knows what's going to happen.
4066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: June 13, 2017, 10:56:57 PM
This is something that has come up time and time again, I'm still going to have to say that I think the answer is going to have to be a no on this one. I just personally can't see a time where the government allows a lawless and decentralized coin / cryptocurrency to take control over the currency which they have total control over within their country. Why would they give up the control that they want and they need to be able to fully control everyone within their country?

I'd be dumb for them to do this, and I don't think they'd ever decentralize the currencies globally like this. There's going to be wayyy too much money from people who don't want this to happen going into congress for this to even come out of Congress with a win for the people who support cryptos.
4067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Core devs are invested in success of eth...this is why bitcoin has been stalled. on: June 13, 2017, 05:49:14 PM
See the big issue here is that the only reason ETH is around right now is going to be because of a bunch of traders, that's the only thing people are doing with that coin at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I think the coin is very innovative and such but I don't think it's going to overtake BTC because it's not actually being accepted by many people to be used to facilitate things that a currency must to do, simply be a currency.

Eth doesn't compete with Bitcoin, so who cares?

Truth right here, I'd say ETH is more or less the gold of cryptos right now as it's just being traded back and forth but really does nothing else. Btc is a currency as it's used to buy and sell items, it's also used for services and so on and so forth.

This isn't true OP.
4068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FLIPPENING WATCH on: June 13, 2017, 05:33:58 PM
I feel like even though this site is cool, it's more or less showing a one sided thing here when its showing off ETH attempting to takeover the #1 spot when it comes to being the best Crypto. Even with all the evidence they put out that shows that ETH has a lot of traction, I can't even feel as if all of this traction is going to be turning into people that are going to be using the currency when it comes to normal usage. A lot of the volume for this coin, and the market cap itself is going to be coming from people that are using it to trade on a daily basis and that's going to be all.
that site is missing the most vital criteria of all

"merchants accepting.."

If this was included, BTC would win out by so much.
4069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not in a bubble. people are using it to park their dollars. on: June 13, 2017, 05:11:38 PM
Yet again, I feel all of this news is being manufactured by the whales and the big traders in Bitcoin, no one can even try to fight the claim that we're in a bubble right now. With the price increases per day it's pretty insane to even think of not being in a bubble, let alone writing it in a news site and then sourcing it on here. The price went up like a fucking straight up ladder for BTC and many other coins fells, so simpy this source is just trying to shill more and more people into getting into BTC so the whales can make more and more money.

Shitty source just trying to make more money, sorry OP.
4070  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken stole my life savings on: June 13, 2017, 04:52:28 PM
Well, for one Kraken is probably having a ton of other people come in with request after request so you can't really blame them for the amount of time it took for them to respond to you. I know it may sound shitty, as you seem to have put a lot of money into the company to be able to trade but it's going to happen with security checks and such so yet again I wouldn't really blame them entirely. The timing is simply just pretty bad and that's just what happened here.

Though if you do contact them they should be very keen on getting that money back to you, that is if you're being truthful. A reputable company wouldn't want to lose customers to another exchange over something like this, they wouldn't be selectively scamming in a time where they can make boatloads of cash on fees right now.
4071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: June 13, 2017, 02:07:35 PM
This just isn't true in the least, I've seen topic after topic like this come up with people saying that the reason for this is that a ton of other currencies are more innovative, dont have TX problems like we do, and have a wonderful dev team that's supporting the coin. Well, It's not like these coins are going to have any congestion problems when the only use for them is going to be people who are simply trading it all day for money.

The big difference between BTC and these other coins is going to be that Bitcoin is actually used by people on a daily basis, these other big coins such as XMR, XRP, and so on are coins that are just being used by traders and whales to make money. Sure, these coins are being hyped up all around but it's not because of actual usage -- it's because this is what the whales want to do to be able to get people to keep buying these coins and keep pushing up the price.

BTC will stay at #1
4072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $8 fee? for a $73 transaction? Really what the fuc is going on? on: June 13, 2017, 01:32:34 PM
If you're not in a hurry, you could simply choose a lower fee.

This is something that a ton of people say though it's going to be kind of tough to pay a lower fee when you want something to be going at a semi-normal speed. You'd want to be following a credit card in that sense where the payment goes through instantly and you don't need to wait a disgusting amount of time to be able to pay for it.

But on a TX like this which is $73, you're paying more then 10 percent of it away in fees, this is one of the many reasons that I stopped using BTC and have went back to using my debit card and fiat. I simply take all the BTC I earn and convert it into USD instead of paying high fees and just simply losing money for the sake of losing money. I'm not doing anything shady online so it's not worth it for me to pay these high fees.

Lets hope we fix this congested network #SegWit?
4073  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "All 17 intelligence agencies agree that Russia hacked the US election" on: June 13, 2017, 04:35:30 AM
Honestly, this is just the Mainstream media trying to gain more credibility for a story that doesn't have any credibility to start with. They think by making this horribly irrelevant claim that they'll be able to latch onto people and try to trick them into thinking that all of the intelligence agencies in the US are in agreeance and all the facts are there.

It's wonderful how you put it, most of these agencies are going to irrelevant and not have any data relating to the US election shit and Russia. It's just another talking point for the MSM, Liberals, and Democratic politicians. Irrelevant news is the way to put it.
4074  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people like Trump? on: June 13, 2017, 12:08:56 AM
I'd say one of the main reasons people are going to be liking Trump , or someone that more or less follows him is that people thinks that he tells it how it is. He has little to no filter and really has no care for what others think about what he says, he says the truth day in and day out and normal people are ones to respect people not sugarcoating thinks for them. I'd say this, along with the fact that he isn't a normal politican is going to be some of the biggest factors for people loving him.

His influential business name is also going to do wonders for him, as people think this wonderful ideas and his business is going to be able to transfer over to helping the United States when it comes to it's economic issues across the states.
4075  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would society be without the internet? on: June 12, 2017, 11:30:53 PM
Well we'd be having a pretty big issue when it comes to people being able to exchange ideas quickly and easily as that's something that the internet has allowed to occur. So one of the biggest things that we'd see change, is there'd be a lot more paper being transferred from person to person when it came to science, proposals, and so on. People wouldn't be able to use things such as Emails, Internet Search Engines, Facebook, and so on.

Society would be in a state where I'd be unable to know what it is, it's something that'd be so different from what the world is today it's insanely tough to imagine how this would all work out. But in this, Bitcoin also wouldn't be a thing either as we're a currency that's based completely off the internet.
4076  Other / Politics & Society / Re: SOCCER: AFRICAN FOOTBALLERS AND HEART ATTACKS IS THERE ANY RELATION on: June 12, 2017, 10:41:35 PM
This happens not only with the African players. Such cases happen in Europe. Probably this is not due to genetics, and with the heavy physical loads experienced by the players. Health benefits brings physical education and sport takes away health.

This is going to be the track that I'm going to be following with my response, you can't just pinpoint an area and say oh look over here they're going to be experiencing this issue when most of the world is having the same problem when it comes to the sports players that are working insane amounts every single day. The people that usually aren't even pros are going to be experiencing the health problems as well due to the fact that they're going to be playing in a lot more games to be able to make some money for their famlies and lifestyle.

Though, this is an issue with all sports and such so not true in the least.
4077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Ecuador on: June 12, 2017, 10:19:55 PM
No they're not going to allow for Bitcoin to be allowed to be used legally within Ecuador for the simple fact that the government is wanting people to use a certain designated cryptocurrency, which is going to be the one that they created. I do think this is a pretty dumb idea in practice due to the fact that their banking systems are going to be losing out on a lot of the transcations relating to BTC

If they want to make some money out of it like they seem to want to do, they should really just tax Bitcoin buying and sell because with the increase in media coverage more and more people may flock to the currency for usage, or for trading, which are two pretty prominent things at the moment. I also don't think people will stop using due to a bank though, pretty dumb all around.
4078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people start moving their savings to Bitcoin in case of a financial crash? on: June 12, 2017, 01:00:05 PM
Don't think something like this is ever going to occur, as people have always thought that during a financial crash the best place for your money is probably going to be sitting in banks (FDIC insured of course) as you're not going to lose out in any situation like that, given that you don't have any money held up in the stock market or anything else along those lines. Though, some people may argue that they'd rather their money be in something that is going to yield you money during a financial meltdown, which could be something along the lines of gold.

I just don't think I can see BTC being used during this in the least, as BTC still needs many banks at the moment and during financial issues such as a crash these banks are usually the ones hit hardest.
4079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: June 12, 2017, 10:35:47 AM
Biggest issue right now is going to have to be the insanely high fluctuations in pricing that occurs pretty much everyday for BTC and the issues that are surrounding the transcation fees which are pretty much a plague on anyone that is attempting to adopt BTC at this point in their lives. Some people still want to get into Bitcoin but once they see that they're going to have to pay $2-3 for a TX on any amount of money they're probably going to run away, and run as far as possible.
The biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin are the transaction fees. Small transactions are not very profitable because of high transaction fees. moreover, Bitcoin is not very popular and many many people are unaware of it.

While this is true, BTC is known by a lot of people though people are kinda scared to get into an entire new currency -- change is something which is hard for people to adopt. Also, with little incentive to change people aren't going to change as well. I doubt BTC is going to give many people incentive to change
4080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep altcoins/crypto alive on: June 12, 2017, 06:07:53 AM
Well, here's the big thing with all of these cryptos at the moment bud. These cryptos are simply being pumped in order to make a select few amount of people very rich. That's the only thing that's happening right now  and these Cryptos aren't being used for anything besides trading and pumping.

That's the main difference which I see between Bitcoin and the Altcoins, BTC actually has a usage and is being used by people everyday-- while people are simply only trading these shitty coins. Some of the coins don't get me wrong have some wonderful technology behind them but that's going to be all they have.

Altcoins are going to die at some point, BTC is always going to stay at #1 so you're not going to have to worry in the least bud.
