4061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO investment criteria and advices on: February 15, 2021, 05:53:53 AM
I think IEO good but many scam IEO before although listed on Binance exchange or bigger exchange, I think worth investing on launchpad only without have any risk with get back our money just depend when price up or not, but allocation for launchpad is not much although you hold and stake much money on Binance exchange market but its not too risk.
The only difference between an ICO and IEO is that the IEO is already listed on the exchange. You have to understand the background of why this move was made and why they thought it would work.

See previously when a ICO was tokensold, the excahnges would ask for huge fees for listing that - as a result the team had to cut down costs, listen to the constant bickering of social media channels on lack of exchanges. They would go for shitty and shady exchanges just to keep the majority happy.

IEO took that away and seemed to be a selling point. But basic problem of ICO is still here. Majority being vaporware and scams.
4062  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Near success syndrome in trading. on: February 15, 2021, 05:49:41 AM
Did you coin this phrase on your own?

Of course it has happened to many people. Getting stuck in the euphoria cycle is common specially the new entrants. The wise people will sell before the highest point is touched because they know that waiting for that top means a hurry in trade and possible exchange lagging, transaction fees being huge and all.

Altcoins specially suffer from these types of pumps followed by dumps.

But you are selling just before the top is reached you are still making a good profit. The important thing is to recycle the money after selling.
4063  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Missed out on bitcoin, please make me a plan now on: February 15, 2021, 05:46:31 AM
20k - 25k is a big sum of money. Of course you are late in the game and you will end up with a loss if you buy bitcoin or any altcoin at this price trend. The market recently pumped and you are not the only one to get attracted to it right at this time. Nobody cares about bitcoin when it dumps and become bearish - do they?

Putting that aside, you have to first learn to see buying points, right now like I said is a bad time to buy bitcoin because the pump is in my opinion an inorganic one and will drop very soon. Either way choosing a buying level right now is a tough thing to do. I would go with the <30k USD price range to buy but even that is pretty high comparing to what we saw in the last 2-3years. The best way to determine this is to wait for the bull market to reverse.

Important thing is patience. Newbie traders get burnt out because of their enthusiasm, hence dont get too cocky on things.
4064  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: www.defigroups.com ??????? on: February 15, 2021, 05:40:44 AM
Do the math, if the scheme offers 10% per month then in 1year the person investing there has doubled their money. This is theoretically not possible comparing to what the banks deposits interest can offer. Hence the more likely possibility here is that the site is being used for a scam.

The pictures used in the EthereumWhite project were stock images and therefore a scam itself. This should be clear to you already. Hence my suggestion would be to advice any known contact of yours to not invest in the above site or its schemes.

Whoever they are targeting, does not matter. Fact is that they are scamming others. Fake images, fake addresses - only a scam runs like that.
4065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins/BTC pairs? If yes, under which conditions? on: February 14, 2021, 06:33:07 AM
Currently I have sold DOGE due to the bullrun but I did that against USDT - the reason being very simple: If I were to sell DOGE for BTC, the amount of BTC I would get back would be much less compared to what can get if I use the same USDT to buy BTC when BTC drops. This recycling is important and since I am bullish on BTC, it makes sense to me to accumulate more BTC.

USDT is only an intermediary here, no hopes of holding on to it.

Now coming to your queries, I personally feel using the stablecoin intermediary is a good option to maximize the possible profit. It does include the risk of losing out in case Tether breaks down which many people ponder on. That is one risk that you have to take.

This liquidity issue with Altcoin<>BTC takes place during a bull/bear run only.
4066  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cheapest on: February 14, 2021, 06:23:04 AM
What is the website where we can buy bitcoins and cryptocurrencies at the LOWEST PRICES using credit/debit cards?
I would suggest you to not make such generic topics and do some ground work and basic research when these questions usually come to the mind.

The above posts have highlighted some good ones among them. Make sure to use the one that allows citizens from the country where you reside or talk to the local community users first.

Now coming back to "price" - are you referring to transaction fees taken by the credit card company or the price of the cryptocurrency? Every exchange out there has some pros and cons. Now exchanges that accept credit/debit cards are going to have a significant fee for the payment processing. Also crypto price changes with time and therefore buying bitcoin would mean first you would to choose a price that you wish to buy because the fiat spent is fixed but the amount of bitcoin bought varies.
4067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: account connection by eth transaction. on: February 14, 2021, 06:16:32 AM
My 80% friend are bounty Hunters. If i take all friend tokens to my eth address, Then if I swap all the tokens. Is it prohibited? At Last it’s help us to pay same swap fee all together.
Your basic understanding of the system is wrong. There is not prohibition of such acts. But the bitcointalk community will frown upon your actions here. This has nothing to do with the ETH blockchain, you are free to do whatever you wish to with your money.

But when you are pooling your money on another address because it is your "friend" whom you trust so much that you hand over all your money and they exchange it back for you - you will be marked as an alt account of that address or vice versa.

These are only excuses that bounty hunters who have alt accounts use. You might be a legitimate person who has a legit owernship of an ETH address but no one in the crypto sphere sends their coins to be entrusted to another user unless the gim reality that the other address is also owned by them.

Moreover you cannot prove the opposite, hence you will one day be caught and marked with a red trust rating for being an alt account cheater.
4068  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much would you say one could realistically make a month trading? on: February 13, 2021, 07:43:56 AM
If doing it full time, starting from let's say $10,000 to play with, and btc being in between the same volatility now and how it was about a year ago when it was at around 6k..what could you net a month, realistically?
Realistically you can make anything from zero to 10x of the capital.

Newbies traders who enter the market without proper groundwork on trading and how these market operate are more eligible to go with the zero profit scheme. Cheesy

I appreciate your enthusiasm but that is what is going to drag you down as well. Full-time trading? Not for the average user who has entered the crypto sphere recently and got pumped up seeing some shill youtube videos about trading.

One of the biggest things that can help you is patience for watching the market and knowing when to buy and when to sell. Currently the price is high and Elon-musked high. Grin Hence this is the time to sell NOT buy. In other words, wrong time to enter the market.

Read past charts and observe the support levels. Dont just buy thinking this is going up and this is not. Indicators and all are only markers, not absolute of the trend.
4069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC were to permanently freeze at one price , would you buy ? on: February 13, 2021, 07:34:45 AM
So let's say BTC was to be absolutely frozen from here on at todays price ,would you still buy?
No, that would be a highly suspicious thing to happen. With so many exchanges running a sudden freeze of market price is clearly a remote possibility and a panic producing one.

Quote
I don't think BTC was intended as the speculation tool it has turned into .
Does it really matter what people use it for? Fiat is only used for transaction but you get into FOREX too. Similarly bitcoin can be used to buy/sell altcoins or fiat. The more uses an asset gains the better for the asset only.

Being a deflationary currency and a censorship-resistant one, it is bound to have leaps in price and therefore chances of speculation.

Quote
Who on here regularly makes purchases using BTC ?
If you buy everyday, you will eventually run out of liquid cash at hand which is needed for everyday purchases. This is less if your country has merchants accepting bitcoin so buying it would be practical.

You should buy at prices that you know are support levels or if the market crashes. Not everyday because the price on those days is never predetermined. That is a foolish thing to do.
4070  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 13, 2021, 07:27:54 AM
The bull that we are experiencing right now is not a fake one, it's a true bull and the one that we are waiting for a long time since the Bitcoin crash, you cannot fake a bull run for a long time, and besides many big institutions and big names in investing and corporation are coming in and even promoting like Elon Musk, we'll have a correction from time to time but as long as adoption is progressive the bull run stays and hopefully it will stay long.
I think you are being misled. Celebs care about their money and their company. They know that if they become bullish for a time that product will gain a lot of FOMO. Now since nobody actually controls bitcoin, it becomes their target. I somewhat like and dislike this at the same time because although this brings more attention to bitcoin, the price growth is an inorganic one.

Watch my words carefully, I dont use the term "fake" but "Inorganic". This type of growth does not feature any support/resistance levels and therefore bound to drop or rise unexpectedly. That is why drawing a conclusion based on this growth is dangerous.

Of course you can make money off the market movement. But dont expect to watch Musk be bullish when the market starts crashing. They will all go back to their hole for the rest of the year. I am saying this out of observation not being spiteful.
4071  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any idea about this telegram trading bot? on: February 12, 2021, 08:06:11 AM
I have found a trading bot in telegram where various crypto assets can be exchanged. This got my attention because I saw it allows deposit and withdrawal of Indian currency. The name of that telegram bot: @Chatex_bot. Can anyone verify that the trading bot is safe to us and anyone withdraws INR from that trading bot before?
You can be very much assured that any such "Bot" on telegram is a risky thing to deal with. If you want to buy sell coins, go to an exchange not some random username on the internet who promises you to sell those coins. These things always end up with a scam and you will be sorry for being so stupid when you could have prevented it.

I can understand why they are targeting Indian users, since the current RBI news about banning crypto is creating undue panic among Indian bitcoin users to sell their assets and exit the markets. If this is the case do not worry, our Indian startups are very much active on social media and they are working to counter this type of bills. But such scam bots will be there to scam people who are not careful.

In case you need to trade, head over to out Indian section in this forum. Several users are there and trusted with previous deals. There are p2p and CEXes for Indian users, you just need to look in the right place.
4072  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 12, 2021, 08:01:27 AM
to be honest , i just invested all of my money into crypto on the middle of november , as we see now , everything go green , i even got 12 X ROI just for hold crypto like EGLD,INJ,CAKE,XVS, the question , where the correction ,
Correction may take time to occur. But that would mean a loss for your since you are already in gains?

Quote
it is the party will be over soon ? or it will be bigger since as we know recently big company like TESLA even accepted bitcoin , or its just fake bull ? if yes , i cant imagine how big the correction will happen.
Just keep one thing in mind. If it goes up it has to come down. It is only a question of when not how.

Since currently big companies have invested or shown interest in crypto, bull run is happening. But ask me, this is a inorganic bullish trend. I suspect the market to crash very soon and that would be the time when the FOMO will stop.

If you are in gains, sell those coins and book the profit in a stablecoin only to buy back BTC when the BTC price goes down or sell for BTC directly. Either way, this is the time to sell coins and not buy into the FOMO.
4073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about new projects on: February 12, 2021, 07:19:37 AM
But having their own tokens is also better, for example like Trustwallet and Binance, because no one says that both are bad, even very much is interested in them, meaning that implementation will feel very complete if a system also has the same thing in crypto.
There have been projects related to crypto but not using an altcoin. They may provide a service like a wallet or an exchange but no token as of now. These projects are less popular than the ones that have actually raised through an ICO/Token sale.

Point is that hype is what runs this market. You cannot attempt to make a name for your project unless you are launching your own token. Everyone wants to invest in tokens but few actually look at the legitimacy.

We can have an exchange or a project in general that raises capital by equity listed on a stock exchange and dealing with giving services about crypto. But will these be popularly known to the crypto public? I doubt that but I am also hopeful about the same.
4074  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take caution to unstable market on: February 11, 2021, 07:56:46 AM
Just a reminder. Take caution to unstable market.
The unstable market is the place to actually make money. But if you are going FOMO then you will lose money and that truth is most people get into FOMO. For example, buying bitcoin now because Elon Musk bought some is being FOMO. But selling now is the wise choice.

Quote
If you see that the crypto market is too volatile to predict, then you should immediately stop trading.
I would like to question how long you have been trading?

Quote
I lost a hefty share of my precious cryptos in the past few days as the market was very irregular and I couldn't give my undivided attention to the market trends constantly. So, if you are like me, unable to commit each and every second, I'd advice you to wait for the market to reach its normalcy. And then, you can start trading.
Seems too much of a workload the way you put in. That is not trading per se, that is analyzing the market without knowing what to do. You dont need to see trends every second - that is needed for day traders and for leverage trading, both of which are doing to increase your mental pressure and should be avoided to keep money safe.

Either way if you think its too much for you, you should stop trading. Still buying low and selling high, holding during the middle is a profitable process if you know how to enter and exit.

PS. Thread should be moved to the proper section.
4075  Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutions hedging? on: February 11, 2021, 07:24:49 AM
Celebs doing their thing. Grin

They dont care about the problems faced by the economy after a pandemic, but their own profits and using the market's situation to bullrun their own assets. There is a lot of FOMO, I agree. This is the time to sell bitcoin and Dogecoin if you own any and hold USD - the intelligent move. Wrongly though some newbies will rush in the FOMO and I am expecting a drop in price after this trend ends at which point the actual buying should be done.

Now institutions may be hedging funds or not, cannot be said right away. They are trying to move a stagnant market of bitcoin to a moving one is my assumption. They may be trying to use this opportunity to make a profit off what they had bought. It might vary from person to person.

Again the rich people will always become rich, so no crisis for them but more chances of profits. The middle and poor classes will suffer.
4076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What does the token value in metamask depend on? (Value in USD) on: February 11, 2021, 07:19:29 AM
If the tokens are no longer on the exchange or the volume is practically zero why is their value displayed? This should be fixed
A token cannot be removed completely from existence. There will be some wallets holding it and still not been delisted from exchanges which is the most extreme step that can be taken. It is not the job of the  price/market cap aggregators to do this segregation, they make a list of what is there in the market because someone who needs the info can get it using their service.

Volume is not exactly zero for any shitcoin. However this is one of the bad effects of having an unregulated marketplace and shitcoins being created out of the blue.

If you are having such a coin, then your are out of luck and probably looking at a loss unless it goes up in price.
4077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Future? on: February 10, 2021, 07:04:35 AM
when i look at the current rising conditions of the bitcoin market i see that we have come a long way and most of the world is accepting the cryptocurrency payments and some lager brands are also connected to the BTC world.
You mean Elon Musk buying bitcoin and allowing Tesla Cars to be bought using bitcoin to be the reason of "coming a long way"? Think again my friend. You are seeing a inorganic growth of this sector. I am sure bullish waves are huge right now and seem to be going even higher but the crash can happen and then even Musk will not be there to save your money. This is rather the time to sell bitcoin and book the profit before you buy again when the crash happens.

Quote
but sometimes a thought crosses my mind that will these conditions last longer and better in the future?
This question in your mind means you are not understanding the advantages of bitcoin over fiat. There are disadvantages too but the pros are enough to give it a position close to global fiat currencies.

Censorship resistant, deflationary, decentralized currency is something for the future.

Quote
what do you guys have to say about it?
Stop following charts without analyzing them. A noob looking at charts right now will think about going FOMO - but that is the wrong move. You dont buy at the top, you sell.
4078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What does the token value in metamask depend on? (Value in USD) on: February 10, 2021, 06:57:06 AM
How is this calculated?
Data comes from aggregators like Coinmarketcap or Coingecko. But it is best to run them on another tab and check the price there first.

Quote
Can it be displayed incorrectly ?
Possible, if the data is coming incorrectly from the source. Also liquidity of a single token varies with exchanges. On some exchanges there might be a marginal difference than another well liquidated exchange. This depends on an individual token.

Quote
I ask because I have tokens that have a value but swap does not work. So I am wondering if I can quality check this value and know how I can swap it ?
Swap may not work for a lot of different reasons. But your question is vague and you havent replied to any of the posts in this thread either. If you come online and this problem still exists, reply here so that people might be able to help you out.

Taking the fact that majority of tokens are nowadays exchanged via DEXes like Uniswap and Sushi, if you havent done anything wrong in that procedure, the process should be smooth.
4079  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 60+ Billion Bets | 113+ BTC Jackpot! on: February 10, 2021, 06:50:33 AM
It was your luck that you got the hit within two rolls after a close miss. People always say something if anyone post his bets in chat. I no longer post my bets at chat. Though occasionally I tell my current session stats at chat. And the reply I get is “Good luck for recovery/more, sorry for your loss”. Their comments inspire a bit but it doesn't effect in our game.
I am sure people in the chat rarely post everything in context of the conversation. Random good luck and hello messages often happen and some users might be busy with their own bets enough to not check what others are actually posting.

Of course it is a casino, so their wishing you good luck would not change the outcome of the next roll. It is done mostly to ease the pain and get over the loss and move on. Many players lose a lot and then become heartbroken at their gambling habits and that you surely dont want to be in future.

Quote
By the way, yesterday I got 9th position in daily race at PD.
Good luck, gamble responsibly and keep winning more prizes. Wink
4080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Path to the bitcoin going global on: February 09, 2021, 07:19:07 AM
More and more bitcoins are beginning to be held by ideological holders who won't sell until the day it becomes the prevailing global monetary supply.
Since the time bitcoin's price started to grow by exponential values, this trend has set in. It does not mean they are not going to sell - an investor has a lifetime and idea of what they are going to do with their investments in case of their demise; their next generation may or may not be so diligent.

If they dont sell, the market becomes dry and less liquid, until someone sees the profit in rising prices and sells - this will happen due to supply and demand but will gradually make the coins increase in value.

Not that this is a bad thing, because till date I havent seen anything bad about it from being a holder though I cant say the same for a no-coiner - they might be feeling jealous of hodlers assets.

Quote
This is the path of Hypberbitcoinization.
Brainfart much? Cheesy

Quote
Do you think this is the only way? or will we need to governments aid to make it global?
Government aid is needed in future for merchants to accept and use bitcoin in a quick and easy way without having crypto bans happening.
