Iirc there was no '+merit' option to your own posts/comments before. Is it recently added or was I tripping whole time?

— Go to settings ( Sidebar >> Click on your avatar) >> privacy and safety >> Disable "Allow direct messages from server members"
— It will show you a pop up asking if you want this setting affect your existing servers, it's preference but giving yes is recommended.
— If you are tired of friend requests from people you don't know, there is setting just down below labeled 'Who can add you as friend' - disable each one. They can still send you request with your unique discord tag. Note: This is mobile app settings, there might be some difference on other platforms.

Interviews of veteran members, you know we had one text based interview post, have similar ones but face to face, post frequency should be one week, keeps channel active and content would not deplete either.

A new ethereum sub board would be nice honestly (with nft being sub section). I have some post ideas but since there is no ethereum sub, i would have to post it in altcoin discussion. Very few bother to read there lol

Few years ago, I came across a comment that I still remember, of course not word by word but I hope context is still understandable. Here you go,
"Cryptocurrency is like castle built on the cloud, and the people who live there think they are separate from the earth and the laws of it."
I disagree though, we are all connected still, even if we are in crypto sphere. At some point there will be governments that will put regulations around, hence there will be some sort of control coming from them. Yes, we do enjoy some freedom because we have total control of our crypto and there are not third party, we are our own bank. However, since adoption is not there, we still need to convert it to fiat and that's where the government enters. So we are not separate, all the pieces still ties in. Actually that's the point, crypto space isn't as separate as many pundits make it out to be.

Who is this advice? If this is your advice to bounty hunters, then, believe me, their social networks will overlap with the same hunters. Moreover, if I trust those accounts that I trust, why can't they be wrong? Only your own analyses of the project, your own investigation, will be a positive moment. Do not blindly trust the crowd, rely more on yourself.
That's true, that's why you follow people who you know are legit, it's unlikely for them to follow due to bounty or similar.
I have come across such follow X and Y campaigns on Twitter and Gleam, most of them are just singing the same tune; to the moon, best project, will reach $ in year. Very prevalent with 99% of those "new" projects out there, regardless of legitimacy. Do you expect prominent people/projects to follow random trash?

1. You start following people and projects who you know are legit af, for example, uniswap, vitalik, arbitrum, 0x project - you get the point.
I scanned their folllowers and checked if there are big personalities in twitter have followed CowSwap and verify if any other person you have mentioned follows this project as well. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find one of them. The image and cowswap was an example (but still they are followed by known projects in ethereum - 1inch, balancer, matcha, paraswap, defipulse, gnois,..) . You can check arbitrum they are followed by vitalik, that follow can help you determine the projects legitimacy to some extent. Sometimes, their follower count increases due to some bounties/ advertisement happening on the grey area of cryptospace. And we can't be certain if those numbers alone will have bearing on the legitimacy of the service unless it is proven by time. This applies to all the projects though.. That's true, that's why you follow people who you know are legit, it's unlikely for them to follow due to bounty or similar.

Then you go to Twitter of the project you are interested in and if they are followed by the accounts you are following there is high chance that the project is legit. For example,

What title says really, cowswap is fork of uniswap and allows you to pay fees in token you are trading. https://cowswap.exchange/

I'm here wondering they couldn't come up with better name?

Here in India, exchanges allow you to set nominee so if it were to do with me, I would send from whatever wallet to the exchange and let the next to me deal with it however they like. Requires less technical knowledge too.

I was bit surprised to see that there was no mention of 'community managers', projects keep coming everyday and they all need CMs in their channels.
