Interesting to see OG string a couple of wins,

They've done well but are struggling on both 1st and 2nd maps here.  I took a cheeky live bet on 3.2x while they look badly down on their own map pick, CT side inferno I figured they might come back or at least put in a good effort.    They might just scrape it back and take 3rd map also, they are the higher ranked team but today it might not be enough.
4082  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price last until the end of the year? on: August 23, 2021, 11:58:35 PM
We'll be in this region of pricing, we dont yet know if we can break upwards to greater prices in such a short time frame.  We are going to be less then 3 months away soon and thats not that big a period of change most of the time, we got spoiled this year it moved alot but it doesnt have to always be like that.
Its better to speculate on a range of prices rather then try to say an exact price at an exact time.   We have just passed into the upper range of prices for 2021 and I'm waiting to see if we can hold this highest area.
4083  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Bullish At The Moment on: August 23, 2021, 10:16:33 PM
I think it is due a pullback but until it breaks a weekly trend then its best not to fight the continuation however be aware of the break possibility.    Like right now we are on top of old resistance and staying above that would signal continued appreciation is likely.

I just drew in some support here going on the majority of the highest prices of 2021 and where each week closed.   If we continue above this point we are going to remain in this higher range, the upper edges of prices known so far.   We might even make new highs, be optimistic but if we lose this kind of support then I would hope to become more cautious at that point in my trades and outlook.   I expect us to secure and stabilize at some price but impossible to say while we are rising so strongly still its just idle speculation.   The very simplest estimate in the large 2021 view would be a drop back to 40k, the target upwards would be to challenge the highs and I side with that upwards view using this current pivot I placed in the graph above.  The yellow line is 2 day moving average.
4084  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: August 23, 2021, 10:07:14 PM
You can say its ok over time and give an opinion for the next year.   The problem with most us we only want to buy at the cheapest price and sell at the highest price but the irony is the best gain is by capturing a good average not absolutes.
BTC is very likely to be rising over years, if you are buying during those years you will capture that rise even if you did not get the lowest price you were involved.  The hesitation in trying to get perfect timing ends up being the greater negative then just entering an ongoing market that appreciates.   This is a rule that applies to tons of assets and market sectors, just decide if you want to be involved with crypto and then set a percent you would buy regularly.      Traders are something else, alot of those attempts will fail and trading advice cant really be given its like riding a horse you got to gain experience cant really give it.
4085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 23, 2021, 09:44:51 PM
NFT works in the modern meme culture way I suppose, so long as there is excess liquidity theres people who want to own a unique icon.  It doesn't establish copyright or a claim of ownership exactly so its more then a little confusing.   It seems to be something of a courtesy to usage by the creator not a sale, until there is a legal precedent to establish NFT I assume it will not appreciate over time ie. years.

Standard deviations is used in options trading in relation to volatility and valid future pricing.    Lots of clever people trading that stuff vs events and general market risk aversion.   The recent Dollar rise didnt do much to stop BTC rising anyway, my own take is DXY has to break the July low prices of last year to really create any kind of scare that would show in selling.
DXY is falling now anyway, half a percent is no small move for such a large global entity.  BTC moves 1% all the time, its not significant but I do think we can move back to the weekly average
4086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 23, 2021, 09:16:56 PM
I cant bet Valorent but I will endeavor to watch matches to see if I might in future, depends if I think its enjoyable to watch or not.  I like the game itself in a fun way but not as much as CS.

I should have not rushed my bet on Endpoint, Boros is very new and with inexperience it seems.  Doesnt excuse the other 4 not pulling it together but I already know a new roster in any way can be disruptive to teamwork etc.   I won on the sidebets which doesnt cover my main stake,  Apeks was 3 to 1 to win the 2nd map.  Apeks won on momentum well played I guess, had to leave before it ended.

I will ask a Polish friend about Boars vs Wisła playing tomorrow, at the moment I would just guess ENCE goes through

The main thing to emphasize with FUN I reckon is the long term gain aspect of BTC, it wont always be rising and it can pull back but overall between years we're in a bullish period hence you want FUN to lock in benefits long term.   If the trend is good long term and you dont want to be constantly flipping from crypto back to FIAT then the idea of FUN token with long term deposits, interest on that, betting and keeping earnings within crypto and so on is more valid.     Years ago I would always aim to convert back to FIAT, now I think I was mostly wrong to ever bother and that idea is likely to be more common.
I still think we can trade down some day but not so much we are that far from here; being at such elevated prices for so long this year in contrast to last year should put a line under the old days of 10k action we had BTC orbiting since 2017
4088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 23, 2021, 11:41:51 AM
Just spotted Apeks vs Endpoint which has the underdog in an early lead despite 50 ranks between the two teams.    Neither is perfect, Boros just making a mistake of inexperience of overcooking guarding the bomb when all he has to do is wait for defuse 1 v 1.  Sometimes less is more, he is only 17 so I guess this figures.   Overall Endpoint should take this and I put small bet on 2 maps.
I might have overbet considering I just randomly saw the match available to bet but Endpoint took sinners and spirit to 3 maps, beating Sinners and I've watched them many times before they should pull through unless they flounder into a fast 2 map failure somehow.
4089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know is time to walk? on: August 23, 2021, 11:36:05 AM
Split your money up at least 7 ways for a daily spend, its harder to do over a month or longer but never gamble just one instance if you have any kind of ambition to win games.  Dont rush, have a budget for the day and if you are not winning you will get the simplest signal in the world to leave which is your balance wont be there to continue.  I'd say its far harder to decide when you do well when to bank some of the gains and walk away then also, probably just when you are tired and feel yourself slipping at all.   Stick to your system Smiley
4090  Economy / Economics / Re: Philanthropy as a paradox for the uber-rich on: August 23, 2021, 11:22:22 AM
One of the main aims of that particular fund is population reduction of countries where large families are traditional.  Its a form of politics rather then just being generous and the fund brings with it influence and kudos that is not taxable like any normal use of the money.   True charity is a hard business because there is always fraud and if not that then costs sometimes large to distribute the money properly, its harder to do right then most realize.

The billionaires mostly earn money from some kind of efficiency gain and also benefitting from large gains via government bias towards the largest entities over the smallest unlike capitalism we have a system which favors the richest where plain capitalism favors the strongest growth from the smallest companies.  I dont blame the rich people themselves, in time they will pass away but the system is far larger then that.
4091  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC approaches resistance on: August 23, 2021, 09:38:15 AM
There is volume in this area but I wonder if this trend we've followed is much restraint to BTC progress, seems to be mostly a rough guide and I will be negative if we lose it.
We had a downtrend in play around the 17th but that has resolved in favor of the weekly trend which has been pretty aggressively rising.   We remain above 12hr and 2 day fast averages.

4092  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's not the end, $60k again on: August 22, 2021, 11:30:38 PM
I know we're within trend and even above 2 day average so with momentum but I still wait for a pullback near term or a proof of achieving a higher mark then recent range

So 49788 is recent high, a close above that on a 4hr bar will do alot to convince me otherwise but I think we need some measure of a pullback though its hard to say the magnitude of how that will occur.   We're into the Japan open or Asia trading hours open I guess more widely which allows larger main market trades from all over the world, plenty of opportunity for bearish bets and its not registering down yet so I can easily be wrong yet I think best caution advised.
4093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: August 22, 2021, 10:48:58 PM
Why call it addiction if it was 20k in one night, that sounds like someone who just had a compulsion where as addiction is returning many times to something no longer even enjoyed especially.    I'm not sure the company is especially wrong for allowing someone to gamble, its not like its impossible to spend 20k in one night if you like.   People always state these cases in exclusion but I presume its a pattern of behavior that would exist even without gambling, maybe Im assuming too much but I dont think this is the one vulnerability they have in life and somehow a particular company found how to target it.
The only thing I can think of is new customers could be restricted in spending perhaps but some new people are also millionaires and 20k is nothing to them, its harder to categorize exactly.   I've known people who could lose 20k and be in a bad mood for about a day and then its whatever because they also spend 20k on a watch or a car.    There is a demo mode on slots that I know of, they let you gamble win or lose and its not altering a real balance.   Its a learner mode, people choose to spend so do we let people have free will or not.

BTC might be able to rise above $50k
I agree its unlikely to stay still but I was reasoning its easier to fall right now then find additional movement upwards after doing so consistently in so many consecutive weekly bars.  It'll go up but seems like it has to pullback in order to do that.    Can it be as simple now as 45k which would be the 200 day average, probably not but dont think I have a high confidence guess elsewhere.    The 50 day is 40k and odds are too low for me especially
If BTC just adheres to the trend or what I've extrapolated as the pattern then base price is 52 to 55k on month end, I know people want those prices but I'd guess its not yet here also Dollar is rising some, but odds are decent still.
4095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 21, 2021, 05:21:16 PM
Sinners beating G2 is kinda bonkers, Im sure the odds were good for that for anyone who knew.   Sinners is all czech where G2 is mixed nations, really basic take that it can mean slightly less teamwork.   Oscar's team basically though he is not IGL nor even the best player in this match which should mean they have potential to keep doing good work I guess.   Never heard of them before tbh.

VP vs 0G I put as 3 maps but think OG takes it.   Right now seems like it'll be 2 maps, fail by me.   Maybe I should have guessed it'd go that way with Dust2 the 2nd map
4096  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin at new heights on: August 20, 2021, 11:58:48 PM
Right this moment there is a speed bump that says we can be waiting some more time, so its just something to note mostly.   Greatest interest to traders, hard to call in a larger way.

This is just 4hr bars, short term trade and if price action can confirm above resistance I've speculated is there on weekly bars for 2021 then its stronger then many might have expected and will likely accelerate from this point further.   Most likely we pullback at least some, that might not happen till Monday or next week but I imagine this area is of some significance.
4097  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you bullish or bearish this year? on: August 20, 2021, 11:56:54 PM
Hard not to be bullish for this whole year, it doesnt have to keep doubling but just staying in the region of these highs is really positive overall in my reckoning.  Continuing to navigate this range increases volume done and ultimately its a positive that very likely builds if not this year then later on.   For the moment I still dont think its about to move higher but just the idea it might is whats so bullish after it has already gained so much.

I think that the economic costs of gambling at country or state level are not really a problem.

We're talking about the circulation of money here really, the wins and losses are balanced against each other in the large majority.  The house has some cost but its pretty minor as a cost, the real negative to consider is the time taken playing the game but consider every other waste of time people could have.   To consider gambling the only negative and its all about the money is missing the point I think, if people handle their money so badly they will go broke and it might not even involve any type of gambling.  A person can even go broke doing as something as normal and routine as buying a house because houses can be a gamble also, we cannot rule out human judgement and freedom to make mistakes; I never quite get people argue freedom is the negative.
4099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 20, 2021, 09:54:32 PM
I saw gambling on a big Twitch stream just today, I barely noticed any difference from this rule really.   People still know where to go to gamble if they want to or just watch, thats the freedom that should be afforded anyone in a normal democracy.
The idea of censorship removing all harm in the world is such nonsense on every subject in every sector of the economy it doesnt help to treat people like they have no ability to discern a reasonable direction without government.    Just crossing the road is the bigger risk vs almost any other problem people over think, instead of banning find a better way to help people with good advice is a way smarter idea.
4100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does it keep falling ? on: August 20, 2021, 08:39:04 PM
Momentum is quite a large part of a move, I need to weigh this better myself but imagine if stumbling down a hill its harder to get a foothold again while already moving with speed.   Similar I think we have momentum when rising that should be referenced as to the continuation in price rises.   All today we've been trading above the 12hr average and also regained the 2 day average, while we keep hold all of these we should assume price remains with pressure upwards despite possible resistance to overcome.
