With knc shipping in volumes, i'm not sure that this is correct. KNC is just about done shipping Sept/Oct batch. About a week ago they indicated they were 500 of 1500 units complete. Figure 100 units per day they are probably >1000 units shipped and 400 to go. They could be done by the end of the week. Regardless of if it takes them a day or week to wrap up at most KNC is "only" adding another 150 to 200 TH/s from batch 1 (probably less). KNC has stated Nov batch will not ship before 15 Nov and they also promised to the Batch 1 customers that Batch 2 would be 30 days after last batch 1. I doubt it will be the full 30 days but I can't see them spitting on their batch 1 customers by shipping batch 2 (which could be up to 2 PH/s) earlier than 15 Nov. We should remember that while KNC may not ship Batch 2 faster than 30 days, they can assemble the units and have them all shipped in 2-3 days. OT: DeathAndTaxes have you invested in HF ?

Question for the group..... This is my friend's Jupiter... It came from factory using 0.95 The circled area is where we attempted to load 0.96... tried opencores, yes... We since flashed back to 0.95, and you see that it's ok again... So, the Q is: Should we try 0.97? I know it will stop the "Flushwork" issue but we are hesitant to load 0.97 since what 0.96 did...? The downward spikes were internet connection problems he had... (Evidently, his Son downloading videos & stuff unbeknownst to him...).... cgminer had values listed on the RF field every round. upgrading the connection to a bit faster dsl... Definitely try 0.97. Best one till now.

Firmware 0.97 is better than 0.96 which is better than 0.95 and so on. Good job KnC!

Any news regarding... Maybe he will not be the only reseller after mid October: [...] Regarding bitfury: I have an exclusive agreement with cryptx until mid October. [...]
Unfortunately i won't pay more than 5$/GH given the difficulty increase and i don't think we will see boards for 200$.

News? Any mod to put SCAM in title or at least a warning? I think it's already clear that this was a very big fail.

I have some noob and semi offtopic questions: 1) how do i check a transaction by the txid?; 2) how do i send a transaction with a message in it?
uuuh, copy & paste worked great for me....? just kidding... copy the message they give you.. open your wallet click on recieve tab highlight your wallet at bottom choose sign message paste message into big box click sign message copy the signature over to the signature field in eligius do not hit save for at least 1/2 hour, as the blockchain will need to send out the signature... it will tell you if signature failed or succeeded then I already knew how to sign messages. I'm interested in sending a message visible in blockchain. you are signing the wallet with a message.."signature"...do it same way problem is..it's encrypted... so dunno https://blockchain.info/address/1487ThaKjezGA6SiE8fvGcxbgJJu6XWtZp scroll way to the bottom and you will see some messages like: "Public Note: Thank you for the work you do for the community! Get a drink (or two) on me" Found the way to search for a transaction by txid thx to blockchain. http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/18/how-can-one-embed-custom-data-in-block-headersAnd any other solutions for noobs like me? Because i have no idea how to do that...

You can always use the listaccounts command. Ofcourse you'll need to add each address to one account. And you'll need to use the command line or the console. The following may also work. listreceivedbyaddress 0 true Thank you, but i find this feature useful in the main client or any other client. Why is it so hard to implement it? What is the actual process for this?

it's too early to tell who's more "lucky". don't forget KNC had a head start so it's expected you're mining right now. yes, it appears HF will be late. don't know how late but i still prefer the apparent high quality parts they are using along with the cutting edge 28 nm tech. you're right though; it could be useless if they're too late. yes, i still maintain that the HR will stabilize or even drop at some point; probably sometime early next year after Cointerra ships (if they do at all). i've actually had good luck with my Batch 2 Avalons as well. Pure gold!

I still haven't heard back from Samantha about employment... I'll probably forward my resume to Amy later today and try and figure out what's going on and if they still want me for support.
They must be busy taking picture of PCBs.

Well i am talking about bitcoin-qt. I thought this sub forum is only for that client.
@Rluner I am talking about ten other addresses that are mine. If i receive money on 3 addresses i would like to keep track of them individually from the client.

I have no idea if this was proposed before. Let's say you have 10 addresses in a wallet.dat file. Is there a way to see the balance for each address? How hard is it to implement this?

Okay, I gave up on Raspberry for now, trying to get it run on windows. This is a nightmare..
Edit: Oh boy, I got the driver and cgminer recognizes the bitburner now. It's just it does not start hashing. What am I doing wrong? Edit2: got them working at stock speed.
When I use --avalon-options 115200:6:10:35:360 --bitburner-voltage 1270 --avalon-temp 60 it is slower (around 26gh instead of 28-29). Am i doing it wrong?
btw, we should not update the firmware, right?
Regarding the firmware you should have BB_Firmware_1.0.2.hex from burnin's website. And last version of cgminer. Regarding the settings. Too much voltage imo. For 380 i use 1170mV, 390 - 1200mV and 400 - 1230mV. I didn't go higher because i have the boards in a warm room.
|
|
|
You should try running them at 265 with 980-1050mV because you should get the same results with less heat and consumption. Nup, tried to lower mV in combination with freq, what ever i lower, lowers the GHs. btw, did do you mean 256? not 265. My optimal setting I found for my boards are: --avalon-options 115200:32:10:45:282 --bitburner-fury-voltage 1100 and i get a constant avg. 96GHs for a pair of boards. Why is everyone pumping insane amounts of voltage to these chips? They won't hash faster(actually they will but not by much). I'm running at 270 and 970mV and i get 46.4Gh/s per board. Why should i stress the chip by pumping max supported voltage for 1.6GH/s? Lower voltage means less power consumption and less heat so for me it's a win win.

shep80, I'd f-ing love to do that *BUT* I've been afflicted with the "my mini-USB connector tore off under only the weight of the USB cable" thing on that second board ..... H@shKraker What firmware do you use? Original? Edit: Found a better setting. Higher speed, lower voltage, ~good WU. 270 with 970mV.
|
|
|
What settings do you use to get a board to 50GH/s?
|
|
|
Adjusting the voltage to 950 has yielded roughly 52Ghash for the pair (26Ghash each). The settings I'm using now are ->
--avalon-options 115200:32:10:d:256 --avalon-fan 100 --bitburner-fury-voltage 950
Insofar as are both boards hashing I believe they are. The board that is USB attached has all LEDs feverishly blinking and the second board that is CAN-BUS attached has the green led blinking regularly, then the yellow led blink, blink, blink and then a bit after that the red led blinks feverishly and then back to the green led blinking by itself (lather, rinse, repeat). I think I got boards with chips from the "special needs" bin.
H@shKraker
Try hashing only with one board and see results. If you have one board that is flashing only the green led then that board isn't hashing.
