From the looks of the chart we seem like we’re pressing up against the final resistance level before a break to $30K. It will be interesting to see if we reject here and retest support or if we shoot straight to $30K. This rally seems like it has a lot of strength but it’s also run quite a bit in a short period of time so neither would surprise me. At some point FOMO might start kicking in when people realize BTC has doubled in a month.

It seems Pelicans ran out of fuel lately as they have 5 defeats in a row. They also don't have enough points to have playoffs locked in so they should make a mega effort next game against Bucks and try to win that game because defeats bring more defeats and they don't need a spiral of defeats.
This losing streak makes them vulnerable to being dropped off in the NBA playoffs and they really need to take some adjustments seriously because they are one of the teams to be expected to make the western conference a hard battle to get to the NBA finals but it seems they need to make things right first before dreaming to get their revenge against the Phoenix Suns in the playoffs. If they don't improve their ranks these upcoming days, then that's all for them and they're just one of those teams who cannot hold their spots despite how they win every single game in the past months. Well, their two best players have been injured. I think it was amazing they were winning games at all without them. Once Zion and Ingram are back healthy and get some time on the floor together I’m sure they’ll bounce back. Hopefully in time to save them for the playoffs. How about that foul on LeBron last night that cost the Lakers the game because of a no call? Crazy…

Over the last 12 years I think Bitcoin has shown itself to be one of the most predictable assets there is. The 4-year cycle has repeated itself in a near perfect fractal pattern with the FTX scam acting like the only divergence. That doesn’t mean the next four years will be just like the last 4-year cycles, but it does give a good chance that it will be similar.

LeBron put up 41 points tonight against the Celtics as he gets closer and closer to breaking the all time scoring record. He’s been scoring ahead of his average lately so he could break the record in the first week of February. We’ll see. In spite of that performance though the lakers lost to the Celtics by 4 points as Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook didn’t have very good games.

The point is that the Christian religion is about free peace. The Islamic religion is about forced peace. Nowhere in the Bible New Testament is there a call for Christians to do violence. The Koran calls for a lot of violence - https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/violence.aspx.Which kind of freedom do you want for your society? Free peace or forced peace? Or do you like war? ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) C’mon man. You can’t make this argument based on the New Testament and completely ignore the Old Testament which was full of violence as well. The bottom line is that the people who follow these religions are responsible for the good or evil they do. There are good and bad apples in every bunch but the idea that an entire religion’s followers could be classified as missing love is to me a very old way of thinking.

Seems like a good deal for that car. Hard to beat a Bentley in Vegas... ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) What's the mileage of the vehicle? I didn't see it listed anywhere. I also see that it's in "near perfect condition" which has me wondering what isn't in perfect condition about it. Still, regardless of the slight defects or possibly high mileage, this is still a great deal for a Bentley. For $75,000 I could see a collector picking this up just to sit in their garage and look pretty. Any insight on why you are selling the vehicle? Just to move the funds into a better investment or did you replace this with something even more eye catching?

At this point, it feels like he won't go to jail. Feels like everyone is covering for him. I think he might manage to pay some users back before the trial so they will go easy on him. But I want to see this dude in jail cos if he will be out, he will make FTX 2.0 in no time.
I agree that it is feeling more and more like he won't be going to jail. Now his cohorts aren't cooperating with the investigation and SBF is being accused of communicating with them via encrypted messages, likely influencing their decision. While this is probably another offense that should land him in jail, he made the right friends and bought his freedom while times were still going well, so I wouldn't be surprised if his "jail" ends up being a plush condo on a beach somewhere. I had hope that Caroline was going to spill the beans and throw SBF under the bus for her own freedom, but now it seems like he's convinced her they can escape this if they work together, which is what appears to now be happening.

I would agree that the market seems to have a trajectory that will land it above $30,000 in the first half of the year. $50,000 in the second half is a little taller order. Sure, it's possible, but there's quite a bit of resistance to break through in order to achieve it. Personally, I think it will be slow going getting through the $40,000's and if it does break $50,000 this year, I think a retest of the $40,000 level after the halving would be imminent. After that correction in 2024 though, it will be off to the races and I think a price target for 2025 between $200,000 and $450,000 isn't as far fetched as it probably sounds to people unfamiliar with this market.

A triple-header today on ABC. I know what I'll have going on in the background today... First up is the Nuggets vs 76ers here in less than 2 hours, which will be a great game as both teams are on a tear this year. Then you have the Knicks and Nets, battle of NY thing going on. With KD out and the Knicks playing well, I think that the Knicks have a good chance of winning this one. Then finally you have the Lakers vs the Celtics. The Lakers have been playing great this month, so this game might be closer than you'd think, but the Celtics have one of the best records in the NBA this year, so it will be a challenge for LeBron. I think a betting man would probably take Boston.

I don’t think that Bitcoin falling to 0 is a realistic possibility. There are plenty of nerds who got rich from BTC and would buy them all long before it got to a dollar just for nostalgia reasons at this point. I’d honestly be surprised if Bitcoin ever fell below $10 in my lifetime for any reason. The market has just gotten too big. The idea it could ever be worth what it was when I first heard about it ever again seems far fetched.

Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana pacers went off huge tonight. Between the 2 teams there was 272 points scored. That's pretty high IMO. Bucks got the win 141-131 and Giannis was the top scorer with 41. We see a lot of scores in the NBA in the 100s-120s range but 140 points in a game is just amazing.
Ya, that was a crazy high scoring game. We’re seeing more and more of those this season as the pace in the NBA continues to quicken. I’m sure we’re only a few years away from seeing a 200 point score in a game. The Splash Brothers also went off tonight in a pretty high scoring game. Steph Curry especially had a great shooting night and nearly a triple double. Safe to say he’s feeling healthy.

I can’t believe this is a real thing. It seems brutal with opponents unable to defend themselves. Every time I see it I wonder how these competitors wound up in that position in the first place. Especially when I see women competing. Like, how do you wake up one day and decide that you want to get slapped repeatedly and violently in the face for a couple grand? I guess maybe they enjoy it? Seems hard to believe.

In contrast to this list of scammers and their scams, perhaps it might be useful or at least the yin to this yang to make a list of coin makers that haven’t scammed. Maybe rank them by date and suspected liabilities so people can see who has respected the trust that this community has given them the longest. I think it would be great to display that not everyone in this community is trying to make a quick buck and some are worthy of the trust they’ve received over what spans more than a decade now for some.
I think that is a very good idea! We can start with Bitbills and work are way from there. I wish I had the time and energy to do that. Perhaps someone out there can and will do so soon. Like you said showing people still have loaded items from 2011 will have a VERY GOOD IMPACT on our hobby. Sometimes you have to plant your own flowers I guess. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Do people really not realize this is how casinos work? Did you believe they paid out 100%? Obviously they make money or they wouldn’t be in business. Beating the odds is the dream of every gambler and why casinos are always so busy. Don’t kid yourself though, all the costs of running a casino and profits to their owners are paid from gambling losses. If you play long enough, you will lose. It’s the way casinos work…

My take: BTC will be somewhere between $500 and $1,000,000 at the end of the year.
Source: trust me bro
It would be great if you were wrong. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I don’t think we’ll see new lows this cycle. There’s too much momentum now. It’s pretty clear the bottom is in and the money has piled in for the next ride up. I still think people would be wise to dollar cost average their way through the next two years and cash out what they need in 2025. While the halvings will effect the market less and less going forward, I still think they dominate the price cycle.

Crazy footage online posted by Conor McGregor showing the aftermath of him being hit by a car while on a bike ride. Pretty scary. He seemed in good spirits and forgiving of the guy who hit him, who then gave him a ride and appeared on camera driving him. Athletes really shouldn’t be training outside on bikes like this because things like this can happen. As sad as it is to say, you can’t trust people to not do stupid things like hit a bicyclist when they aren’t paying attention. Luckily it seems no major harm was done and McGregor kept his cool.

People always overreact about the debt ceiling. They’re obviously going to raise it or play some games to be able to spend more. Nothing will change. This happens all the time and nothing ever comes of it. The only thing you really need to know is that an unfathomable amount of money has been added to the money supply over the last 3 years and will impact prices for a decade or more.

Ouch, some of us had Boston on the handicap, unfortunately they lost the game. They forced the OT against the Knicks but New York stay focus even if Boston took the lead in the OT.
Detroit Piston as well pull an upset win against the Nets, Kyrie had another big game with 40 points, Ben Simmons though, 0 points in this game. It was Nic again who help Kyrie was not enough, while Pistons has like 8 players scoring double digits. So it's 0/2 for me tonight.
That Pistons win really destroyed my parlay for the night. I didn’t think they’d be able to take the Nets even without Durant. I was wrong. Looks like the Mavericks are about to beat the Suns. Luka only played a couple of minutes before leaving the game. I hope his ankle isn’t bothering him too bad. The all star break is coming soon though and I think all NBA players could use the break. Their schedule is brutal.

The aviation ransomware theory has been floating around for a few days now. Personally, I don’t think that’s it. I would hope the FAA is a little better at securing their networks, although that hope may not be justified. Anyway, I don’t think there needs to be some crazy conspiracy behind the price increase or an event to explain it. I think people just believed we’d hit the bottom of the 4-year cycle and piled in.
