I want to put some picture about the miner in this topic, anybody can teach me how to add picture to the topic?
You can build a 1 TH ASIC miner but can't figure out pictures on the Internet.  /sigh

OK, let's say I am a car engineer...
Do I know how to repair or service EVERY car?

Just to be fair here  Wink

Mining! Ahhh,

I don't have a plan as of yet but I'll need to figure something out because I have 5 rigs heating up a 1500sq ft office with the windows open, AC on and its winter.

 Huh

Its heating up because you have the AC on but the windows open.

4083  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: February 19, 2014, 08:21:46 AM
Hi guys I need help this issue.

I have some concerns. I sent an email to bitmaintech and I have no answer.

I bought an antminer Feb 16th 11:00pm Beijing Time and I don't have  a shipping update yet. It was supposed to be shipping in 48 hours according with bitmaintech.com , now it is pulling that they are beginning the shipping Feb 28th. Please, if you are going to shipping my order in Feb 28th I prefer that you refund me the payment back.

order# 00120140216155717946uUcFFBpq06DA

Thank you so much.

If it was in the Feb 18 batch you will get it.
All others got it and nobody (I think) got a shipping update or email.

For Bitmain, I need info from you.
Is 112bit.com authorized distributor for USA by Bitmain Tech Ltd  ? caused at this site, wrote "authorized distributor for USA by Bitmain Tech Ltd ".
waiting your info

Bitmain has been absent for a couple of days, but 112bit is an authorized reseller for Bitmain from what I know.

Actually look around the forums you will find him here Wink

So been away for a few days and need an update on Bitmain any news been posted about next batch or new hardware ? What is currently the best buy from hardware now  ?

Cheers

no new news. You are either in the current Feb 28th shipping batch or you are left out to deal with the resellers if you have your heart set on one.

Cheers for the update, I have these coupons to use bit now they will expire as Bitmain has failed to keep putting the stock up :/

At a loss

You have 2 more days until the coupons expire, right?

Keep checking the site, who knows maybe more stock will appear!
4086  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is mining for a day at Full speed the same as mining for 2 days at half speed? on: February 18, 2014, 05:12:22 PM
I just found out that if I lower my GPu speed by 20%, I can save like 35% of electricity.

Interesting!

It sounds like a horrible karaoke performance.

The lyrics ain't bad, but the singing.....

Don't get me wrong just being honest here....

I am faltered papamoi Grin I am wandering when the turn of your ass will come? Oh yeah i forgot your ass is too busy to hash with such many chips inside, and me licking your ass can cause surge in fart pressure which will prevent chips from hashing. papamoi:some told me they have remove the stratum+tcp
What makes your idiot are your own actions and you have to take the consequences of them
What makes a BRAINLESS idiot is that you do not even think what someone told you as we can see
What if the same guy told you that you are brainless idiot? Grin i am sure that he will be quite right about it Grin
papamoj:Beside this gay loashia who keep on licking everybody ass
You know papamoi that everybody as you say are CONSTANTLY telling you that you are COMPLETE BRAINLESS IDIOT, but they use more soft words to explain what they think. More over i am damn sure that no matter how deeply i wish to lick their ass they will not allow me to do it Cry Cry Cry Cry

4095  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 28nm ** 1T ** 900W【jingtian mining rig】 in production !!! on: February 18, 2014, 12:00:16 PM
Just talked with the chip maker and they confirmed that they don't know that UK company.

If they bought the chips from bitmine, then price will NOT make this price work.

Also this chip by design is perfect for 1T system. It is NOT to be smart to make 1.5T system, and it impossible to make 3T system.

Asking them to show a REAL system that is running.
You've still to actually verify your products as well, or respond to my PM or email. Giving you support is a lot different from giving you buckets of our money. We want to give you our buckets of money, but you need to meet up half way and make us feel comfortable enough for us to give you our buckets of money.

Buckets of money.

Lots of buckets of money.
But no safety, no money!
4096  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 28nm 1T ASIC new system is good for market? on: February 18, 2014, 09:46:34 AM
I believe this is the 1TH pre-order mentioned a couple of times on alibaba.com - price seems to match. 6000$

... but I still don't see how this would ever break even. @ 25% diff increments and free electricity I see a loss of 2BTC after two years...

How long do you think the diff will keep its current increment pace? How long do you think the bitcoin will stay in its current price level?

If you do not see the future value of bitcoin, bitcoin mining is always a game of losing money even when the bitcoin reach $10,000, because if you jumped in when it is at $10,000, the diff is not the current level, your calculation still show a loss. If you jumped in now, you will gain profit with the increasing of the bitcoin value in the near future. What if the bitcoin price goes up to $2000, $5000, $10000, $100,000? if you doubt it, check back how much the bitocoin price is 6 months ago, 12 months ago,24 months ago.

The point right now is to find a reliable miner as soon as possible, which is what I am looking for. My research show me that this is the first real 28nm 1T miner which is currently running in a mining pool and very stable from their running status shown in the past two weeks. It is claimed as 3rd generation of 28nm miners, and from the power consumption level (900W) and running stability of the first 60T miner, I think it is very promising. Until I see other companies could put their 28nm miners running and show me reliability, I would put my trust in this one.

If the miners can get US by the end of March, it will be a sweet deal for the price. Let's see when this company will setup their website for ordering from USA.

+1.   Guy probably used mining genesis with default values.

Well, even if you type in fantasy numbers you end up on the losing end. I am curious though since there is a lot of old members that are throwing themselves at the new miners that seems to come out soon around 1 TH/s. They either know something I don't, use a different calculator or are just too rich to care.

They buy, use it for about a month and sell it.
This is the ONLY way you can make money in mining.
Constant upgrades and sales.
Just my 0.02BTC

4098  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is mining for a day at Full speed the same as mining for 2 days at half speed? on: February 18, 2014, 09:40:46 AM
As noted above the difficulty change would be the biggest factor.

I can only assume the reason to mine at 1/2 speed would be because of varying electric rates based on time.

Something like that, yeah Wink

Hehe you trying to be sneaky and stealth mine on somebody else's property?  Be warned that is considered theft in most countries unless you have consent.

If you're not stealing, an easier option would be to undervolt the card (if possible) and it should put out a lot less heat since power is determined by the sqaure of the voltage as opposed to linearly with the clock speed.  A drop of 0.1v or 0.2v on the core will put out a lot less heat and then u don't need to spin the fan hard, you just mine about 80-85% of max speed.

Hehe, no I am not trying to be sneaky.
Where I live we have options for electricity tariffs so from around 10 in the evening till 7 in the morning is dirt cheap.
From 7 in the morning till 10 in the evening though is expensive.
So I was kind of looking into that option but not sure yet.

Yeah you can go ahead and turn on/off the machine during the best mining times.  If you stick to a large pool like WemineLTC and mine Litecoin you should have minimal variability - the only difference would be trying to mine during lower difficulty swings.  Bust out the calculator after every difficulty change to make sure mining is cheaper than outright buying coins.

I wasn't planning on turning them off Wink

A lot of people are saying is better to just buy coins.
I can understand that given the constant difficulty changes.

To be honest though I kind of enjoy mining Smiley

It is nice to watch your coins grow little by little Smiley

I did not mean to disclude labour from my numbers, but I was partially writing some of it into the different fab steps (ie: the pcb fab estimate includes the labor/time of production). Bitmain simply assembles and tests the miners prior to shipping (2hours per unit would be generous i think)

65% of that 2hours has got to be them trying to get the units into the anti-static bags  Cheesy

I doubt it  Grin
