4081  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] Surely it's high-time for UID "Bitcoin SV" to be nuked? on: January 10, 2020, 10:26:49 AM
Surely it's high-time for UID "Bitcoin SV" to be nuked.
Technically, he/she can't be nuked [due to having a "Member" rank] but might have a similar outcome to the following case [with the addition of flags]: Red trust spam from user tharani (48 times today)

A mod removed all red trust spam. Thanks mod.

A question, If an account is nuked, Do the feedback and flags left by the account get wiped out along?
In regards to sent feedback, it will remain [most likely that's also the case with flags]...
- LoyceV's suggestion in regards to that.

Unlike some of his other accounts, he hasn't outright admitted he is Bitcoin SV, and there's no blockchain evidence to link him. Only the fact that all these accounts woke up on the same day to change their password, and his pattern of behavior fits the MO for a korner account (read the linked thread for more details).
That explains perfectly why no action has been taken towards this user.
4082  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Transfer BTC from coinbase wallet to COINSFLOW on: January 09, 2020, 05:14:01 PM
Again, I dont even know what what shilling is. I 100% got scammed. I noted above that I contacted coinsflow support and they directed me to another site profitbitmart.com and had to create a different user and "saw" my deposit there, and immediately tried to withdraw to wallet in coinbase. the support person was SHADY. i got screwed. bottom line.
I feel sorry for you and hope you learned your lesson in regards to such websites [they're designed to scam people]...
- Thank you for listing the other fake/scam website.

However, I take offense with all these people here making assumptions that because i asked a damn question that I am somehow complicit.
I do understand you but we have a valid point [to doubt Newbies with similar signs] as well and you need to have a thicker skin ["especially" in forums]...
- Having said that, not every Newbie is a shill of some sort.

Where else do I go to get help? Or learn?
If you ever need to know more about a certain service/website, you can refer to the following boards [search for their respective names] and website:
- Take note: Not everything is listed in the following places (you still have to do your own research).

Thank you for researching and confirming.
You're very welcome but unfortunately, it won't help you in terms of retrieving your coins.

Side note- what am I supposed to do next time if I have a question about all of this, and dont want to draw the ire and speculation of all the users on here? I have legit questions but wont get far seemingly because I am new? Kind of a rude awakening I got, you know?
I believe "Service Discussion" board is a much better place but when it comes to such services [ponzi schemes], most of the community members will surely give you similar responses [just stay away from such websites]...

Service Discussion
Comments and questions about specific Bitcoin services or about all Bitcoin services.
4083  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Transfer BTC from coinbase wallet to COINSFLOW on: January 09, 2020, 10:54:50 AM
I hope this post is not a form of shilling the site (brand new account, 1st post).
I have a feeling that's the case here and since this thread is on a board with a lot of Newbies, I would like to share a few more information [red flags] in regards to this "scam website"...

4084  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving, who's closest with actual Nrs TAKE A CHANCE on the LIST !!! on: January 07, 2020, 05:10:43 PM
Not sure if this counts as "TA" but I'll be using my own formula [like the one I used on another giveaway] for predicting the price range...

521899 [my UID] /3733 [my post count] x 84 [days left] + 1484 [my activity] = 13,227.77
  • Choosing the nearest/closest available price range = 13,251-13,300
4085  Other / Meta / Re: From reading your old posts how have you changed since arriving here? on: January 07, 2020, 01:36:08 PM
Back in the day, I spent most of my time on "Micro Earnings" board and I was scared to post in the "Meta" board [that's a fact Cheesy] since everything was and still is a bit on the serious side...
- Most of my posts lacked enough quality and I had a lot of spelling & grammar mistakes (still not perfect).

Have you been consistent throughout, become a better person, or become mad and embittered?
From your previous thread [definitely a better person]:

~Snipped~
  • It helped me significantly in improving my English [still not perfect].
  • Changed me into someone that reads way more than I used to be [when I wake up, before I sleep and whenever I have some free time at work/home] and that resulted in me gaining some weight but it's fine Cheesy
  • To summarize the above things: "This forum is responsible for turning me from a boy into a man."

Thanks for making me read my first few posts [on this forum] after a very long time [you've made my day] Smiley
4086  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hotcryptonews.org - crypto news aggregator on: January 07, 2020, 08:43:50 AM
Cointelegraph has been added as source for news.
A few more sources to choose from [I'm not vouching for any of their writers]:

Suggestions:

  • Night mode.
  • Include each of their respective thumbnails.
  • Tag each article/news and implement different filtering options.
4087  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTCsurveys.com — Take Surveys & Earn Bitcoin on: January 06, 2020, 07:51:56 PM
Here's a list of the 53 available countries. If you aren't from one of these countries, you'll see a message on our site that says "Surveys are not available in your location," and since you have the 'no surveys available today" error, you will get more surveys if you check back!
I did some testing to see if I can bypass that error from an unsupported country and I was able to do it successfully/easily with typing a valid postal code of one of the available countries + using a VPN to trick the system that I'm from that country [you might want to implement a system that detects such actions]...
- Take note: I'm not interested in withdrawing the few Satoshis that I've already earned.

Other notes:
  • Some of the surveys automatically rewarded me without me taking the surveys [perhaps it's a back-end error].
  • Few surveys showed an error [mid-way] that the survey is no longer available after taking them.
4088  Other / Meta / Re: Mobile Friendly Bitcointalk on: January 06, 2020, 07:32:36 AM
My only problem so far is that it is formatting on my phone like a webpage and I need to enlarge and slide left and right to read the posts.  It's somewhat annoying.
If you "view the forum in landscape mode [horizontally]", you no longer need to zoom in for reading the content.

Is there a mobile format for this page , or a mobile app for Android that is used?
Since you mentioned Android, you can "turn on" the "magnification feature" while still viewing the forum on Portrait/Landscape modes...
Settings > Accessibility > Visibility enhancement > Magnification > 2 options (triple tap or tapping a button).
4089  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: January 04, 2020, 05:40:22 AM
I agree with your thoughts, but obviously no manager rejects another campaign, even if they are managing multiple campaigns at the same time, if someone needs them, they still accept a new campaign. This is also an aspect to assess a manager's ability.
I've declined management job offers in the past simply because of the fact that I couldn't find enough quality from users that were applying on another campaign [with decent pay rate] that I was managing at the time...
  • Having said that, each manager identifies quality/spam in a slightly different way [own standards] so it's better to give other managers the opportunity instead of accepting a job offer and rejecting the applicants [as hilariousetc mentioned, quality over quantity].
4090  Other / New forum software / Re: A feature to fastly switch orders & contents of columns in table (Suggestion) on: January 03, 2020, 04:20:39 PM
Maybe I described it incorrectly, due to my English words, but that's what I meant.
Your explanation was perfectly fine Smiley

Found a quick solution [for now]:
  • Use the following code in-between [instead of using spaces] each word...
Code:
[color=transparent].[/color]

I don't know how it works, but from your explanations, I guess the table will look better if I move the second row to the first one. I guess the default width of the column is be identified by the first row of each column, isn't it?
~Snipped~
Now, my guess is your format takes the longest width (among words, not phrases) and use the longest one as the default width.
With that table, the longest width (in word) is "VodandBPIPteamcolleaguesetc", so it helps the table looks better.
It's quite strange that other columns aren't affected [only the first one].
- Perhaps it has something to do with forum back-end changes...

Update:
I much appreciated your help, SFR10.  Cheesy
You're very welcome Cheesy
- I'll update you if I end up finding an easier fix...
4091  Other / New forum software / Re: A feature to fastly switch orders & contents of columns in table (Suggestion) on: January 03, 2020, 03:58:26 PM
Could you spend some time to take a look at it, please.
Sure.

I meant if my table only contains the first and two rows: "Forum", and "Vod and BPIP team", the width identifies by the format will be the first row "Forum" that result in a 'broken'-table.
I tried to replicate your issue by removing the third row but couldn't find the broken table that you were referring to (the first column has its width fixed with the second row [the longer one, "Vod and BPIP team"])...
- Can you upload a screenshot of the broken table?
- Anyone else seeing the broken table mentioned by tranthidung?

Update:
After posting it, now I'm seeing the broken table [not visible on preview mode].
- Will try to find a solution...
4092  Economy / Reputation / Re: bmy.guide's Postcard Campaign *User that use plagiarize pictures* on: January 03, 2020, 06:26:35 AM
But, if you're talking about having them banned or tagged, for me, I guess that's too much.
~Snipped~
Even sent an additional instructions on how to edit their wrong posts or delete the bad ones from the platform. But even with all that, those who got disqualified never listened. Is it as if they are thinking that they could get away with submitting a plagiarized photo and get paid without me noticing it. That right there to me was a clear intention of cheating on the campaign. So no. No second chances.
Anyone that intends to cheat such a campaign, deserves to be painted [tagged] in red [IMHO] and neutral feedback for those that listened afterward.
- By not tagging such participants, you're indirectly giving them the freedom to do the same thing on other similar campaigns...
4093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A fun little Christmas themed brain teaser on: January 02, 2020, 03:03:07 PM
what two mysteries are hidden in this.
Just to be clear, we should look for hidden mysteries from the signed message "only" [excluding other parts of the thread], am I right?

I'm not a puzzle person but here are my guesses:

  • By "Santa" you mean "Satoshi Nakamoto".
  • You used 20 letters on the message field [representing year 2020].
  • Base58 (P2PKH) format.
  • New address for the new year.
4094  Other / Meta / Re: Trust Feature idea: give DT1 the ability to remove specific feedbacks from DT on: December 31, 2019, 07:56:45 PM
So here's a new suggestion: would it be possible to give DT1 the power to "downvote" certain (negative) feedbacks so they are no longer shown by default? That could potentially solve many of the current disputes that have been fought through negative feedback for many months.
I'm not sure if this "voting" should be anonymous or public, unlimited or very strictly reserved for very rare occations, and needs just one or a majority vote, but all that can be figured out later if Admin things my idea has any merit.
I like your idea as well but at the same time can argue for both sides...
- IMO, it should be anonymous, unlimited and require for the majority of the votes to alter a feedback.

Perhaps requiring maybe 5 DT members to agree with a down vote before confirming it would be a good idea.

5 DT’s agree & click down vote ensures potentially harsh or unfair neg is not shown by default.
I mean you might get one or two DT’s PM’ing each other to try & organise a down vote agreement but I can’t see 5 being involved in something like that.
I agree with your suggestion as well but would like to polish it a bit further...

Step 1: A DT1 member reports feedback for review.
Step 2: For each feedback, 5 DT1 members [or more] are chosen "at random" to vote.
Step 3: Chosen DT1 members can pass the opportunity to other DT1 members [at random] by clicking "pass" on certain feedbacks [with a limited amount of pass].
Step 4: After 5 votes:
  • 3 or more votes for removal = Removal of feedback from DT

I might be wrong, but I think that it would create even more drama than we have right now or under old version of trust system. Probably it's impossible to make perfect trust system here which would be good for everyone...
Based on my experience, the so-called drama never leaves this forum [regardless of the trust system in place].
4095  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any anonymous Crypto re-loadable prepaid card ? on: December 31, 2019, 12:12:50 PM
I was looking for a physical card that i could use in emergencies for small withdrawals in ATM's and for small purchases online.
In addition to the above comments, there are a few more on the following link: Plastic Bitcoin Debit Cards

If any of you have been using a service that is great and requires minimal or no KYC and is available for Asians, please post here, the information will be of great help to me.
Here you can find which provider offers services for your country: Supported Countries

Take note:

  • I'm not vouching for any of the above providers [always check "Scam Accusations" board].
  • Owner of that website uses referral links.
4096  Other / Meta / Re: What effect would this forum vanishing have on your life? on: December 30, 2019, 08:17:02 AM
In regards to the subject field of this thread, it would significantly affect my life in both ways [good and bad]...
- This forum has been more than a family to me:
  • I never thought I'll learn more lessons on this forum alone than in my real life.
  • I bumped into both great people [valuable assets] and some not so great ones [scammers, spammers and etc...].
  • It allowed me to save enough money to buy my first car 2 years ago[100% of the funds were taken from my earnings on this forum] and a few other things...
  • It helped me significantly in improving my English [still not perfect].
  • Changed me into someone that reads way more than I used to be [when I wake up, before I sleep and whenever I have some free time at work/home] and that resulted in me gaining some weight but it's fine Cheesy
  • To summarize the above things: "This forum is responsible for turning me from a boy into a man."

would you simply sigh and keep on trucking elsewhere unimpeded?
I wouldn't.
4097  Other / Meta / Re: Bug??? Trust Feedback (Comment Section) on: December 29, 2019, 09:01:22 AM
Does anyone of you have experienced this?
I was able to reproduce it [after typing something on the comment field] while I was viewing the forum on "Portrait" mode [on Andriod, Chrome browser]...

Solution:
Enable "Auto-rotate" > Tilt your phone [submit button reappears] > Tilt back [vertically] > Submit button remains.
4098  Economy / Reputation / Re: Listing of DT Ranking Pipeline / Signature Campaigns on: December 27, 2019, 05:27:46 PM
I’m pretty sure this is related to the signature design they are using. For example, ChipMixer has a signature code for Sr. Members and one for Hero/Legendary.

DarkStar has the normal one (Sr.) which has no dark background, so he is ChipMixer2. While Loyce has the one with the dark background, thus ChipMixer1.
That was also my initial thought but it appears it's only relevant for ChipMixer signatures [other campaigns have inaccurate numbers]:
- Same signatures but different numbers...

Not sure if I'm missing something here or not but why some of the campaign participants have their signatures identified as 1 or 2?

  • CHIPMIXER1 & CHIPMIXER2
  • BITCASINO.IO-1 & BITCASINO.IO-2
  • SMARTMIXER.IO & SMARTMIXER.IO-2
