4081  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why most terrorist are Muslim? on: June 12, 2017, 04:21:08 AM
It's not that most are Muslim, it's a combination of two things. One is that the majority of the attacks that we hear about are committed by people who are Muslim, and the fact that the stereotype of Muslims being terrorists has already entered the world so people are already thinking they are terrorists before something like this even hits the news.

I also am one to think that people who are terrorists aren't of any religion and manipulate the writings of the one that they say they're in for the betterment of their selves and their horrid cause.

So, moving to the subject at hand. Most terrorists aren't Muslims, there are many terrorists of other things but we may just not label them terrorists.
4082  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Democracy and Voting = a choice? on: June 12, 2017, 04:07:12 AM
There's no real democracy in the states. I mean, democrats or republicans, are you joking? what kind of option to choose is that joke???

In other countries, they at least have smaller parties with seats in congress.

Well, the thing is always going to stay the same when it comes to politics, the people are there in power because of money from huge multinational companies to be able to fund those really big campaigns that they must run to be able to run seats. You may think that the smaller parties are going to make the difference here but in reality, the 'smaller parties' are also going to be present in both the RNC and the DNC as well.

They might not be as prevalent, but different Caucus' such as the Freedom Caucus in the Republican Party make a big difference when it comes to the GOP having enough votes to pass items through Congress. So that argument is pretty invalid but, and it's an overall waste.

Voting is a choice, and if you want to participate in the democracy fully as you should then you'd be voting for people that you think are competent for the position.
4083  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Comey: Trump White House 'lied' about the FBI on: June 12, 2017, 02:02:00 AM
Who really even knows at this point, we're going into the realm of he said he said sort of thing and the only thing that's going to draw the line on the truth is if either one of them had been recording each other. Trump said he had recordings of the conversations with Comey, though who knows if this was just a ploy by him to try to get Comey to be scared and come out with a different side of the story-- who knows.

There are three sides to this story, what Comey Said, what Trump Said, and what the truth heard. Sad, but this is what politics has come to.

Hoping for some real news on this and not the one-sided MSMs side, I would really love to see a time where a new news company rises up due to them staying completely independent.
4084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the safest wallet to use for long term offline storage? on: June 12, 2017, 12:43:07 AM
Paper Wallet or a Desktop wallet that is backed up on something that is paper or something along those lines is going to be your best bet when it comes to longevity. I wouldn't know if I'd trust something that's goibng to be a hardware wallet as who knows what they make those with and in the end if it breaks or something you're going to be left with a paper wallet backup anyway, so you're kinda left in the same case.

Though, if you're going to be using a paper wallet I'd try to have as many backups as you can in multiple SECURE locations. I have this for SOME of the BTC that I have, it Isn't much at this point but I think it's pretty cool IMO.

4085  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think ISIS uses Bitcoin? on: June 12, 2017, 12:23:12 AM
No doubt they do.  Embarrassed
A easy way to hide where the funds come from and anyone can access the funds.
Other than using a bank account and being traced.
What do you think? Roll Eyes

I think so.
After all, we already know that criminals and drug dealers using bitcoin very long time.
ISIS proved already many times that Internet and social medias is their main promotion tool and weapon.
So, no doubt that they know about bitcoin and already using it.
Bitcoin is anonymous and decentralized, no government control.
So, it's perfect tool for them.

Using social media outlets, like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and so on is going to be something that is insanely different for a terror organization. I personally hold the view that their usage of Social Media is being used a scare tactic to hit the people that the West cares most about-- their children and the younger generation.

Plus, if these people are going to attempt to use BTC they're going to need to use BTC in combination with banks to be able to sell this off and get to normal currency. It seems like too much of a hassle for them to go through when they could be using cash which is MUCH BETTER at hiding as their is no paper trail when it comes to money.

So, no, not a perfect tool in the least.
4086  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pop Goes The Car Bubble . . . And It May Not Be a Bad Thing on: June 11, 2017, 11:45:07 PM
I was actually learning about the auto loan bubble in one of the investment courses which I take and it went over how this bubble isn't even going to be as horribly close to the one that was seen in 2008 in regard to the mortgage market. There are a few pretty evident things when you compare the two, as a car is going to be something that's going to be easy to liquidate and sell off to someone else compared to a house-- which is going to take months of inspections, paperwork, and so on to be able to even start the process on selling it.

So, that's something that's going to make this bubble a little easier to be able to get over-- Plus I think something like this MUST happen for anything to be able to really happen when it comes to regulation and such, because without people really getting hurt in their wallet they're not going to be ones to change that quickly.

So, not a bad thing necessarily.
4087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian's own Bitcoin - What will be the impact to the original Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2017, 11:14:15 PM
Yet again, it's going to be one of those shitcoins that nothing is going to happen with. Maybe it'll see a surge in the price due to some news companies covering it from the whales that are inciting this all to happen, but nothing is actually going to happen to it when it comes to the coin being used and accepted in places. It's going to be left with the other million coins that are made for the devs and early early people to make a quick buck and that'll be all.

So, no impact bud -- but nice way of sharing it to get attention for the people that are bound to make a lot of money from it.
4088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: June 11, 2017, 10:48:41 PM
I can't believe anyone still tries to rationalize and defend these high fees. Do we have to wait until it gets to $100 per transaction before people say enough is enough?

Bitcoin should be accessible to everyone but with the current fees its already becoming less and less the case.

Going to be the standing with you bud, I don't even know how people can come out and say stuff like "Oh well look at all the security we get, YOU SHOULD be forced to pay that anyway" Like don't get me wrong I get it, I understand that the miners are going to want more money due to the block reward going down and that's only fair. But at the rate it's been going up now, I think that's a bit insane and is unreal.

These miners don't need that much money to do something that they'd be doing at a fourth of the current TX fee that they're getting now. I still remember the times that TX's were confirmed faster and I had to pay a low rate of $.15 cents per tx.

It is ridiculous and I miss the old days.
4089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you own your private keys with Desktop Wallets? on: June 11, 2017, 10:21:42 PM
Yes, you do own the private keys which is a key difference between Desktop Wallets (DW) and Web Wallets (WW) which is the main reason that people are saying the good quote which is "If you don't own the keys, you don't own the coins" this is due to the amount of "hacks" that have occurred within the entire BTC community.

Personally, I think the perfect mix between something that is  WW and  DW is something like BitGo which is giving you access to half of your keys so you're going to be the one in control though you still get the efficiency of using something that is a web wallet.
4090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the Bitcoin fork, why August 1st ? on: June 11, 2017, 09:26:49 PM
Well, the date itself isn't something that truly matters it's really just simply the actual date in which the miners banded together to be able to get this fork done that day-- that's what they agreed on and I don't think the ACTUAL date itself has any significance in the least. Though, I must admit I do have some of the same concerns as you there bud what if some of the people that agreed to get this done back out last minute-- and these are the people that are really going to be pulling some real weight when it comes to pulling the trigger on this getting done.

I think time is going to be the only thing that's going to be able to tell on this one man, time is going to be key. I do really hope that BTC does better with this all occuring and we can once and foreall fix the issues that we currently have with the bloated system.
4091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I am happy seeing some coins advancig to BTC size. on: June 05, 2017, 06:49:48 PM
This is the normal thing that I see a ton of people on this forum say " One of these altcoins is going to take over Bitcoin because (x) or (Y)" I am one to think this is something that just isn't going to happen, I think the rise of the altcoins is something that is being fully orchestrated by the whales and the devs of the coins to be able to make a shit ton of money for themselves, little do the people know that are buying into these coins the fate that is going to hit them very soon.

Just because a coin is gaining a high market cap doesn't mean it's being used in any way, I think most coins beside BTC are just simply being traded and traded all day long with no real usage in the coin itself. They may flaunt all these wonderful features but they're not going to be anything without them being used by people for normal transcations like BTC is used.

So, these coins are nothing bud - not until they're used by people like BTC is they're going to stick as nothing but a trading coin.
4092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [SHOCK] Core dev and Blockstream employee tells bitcoin users to use fiat! on: June 05, 2017, 04:06:59 AM
Some altcoin will take the throne if bitcoin doesn't change. Things change... deal with it or be pushed out of the way.  Pigs get slaughtered.

Highly doubt this is going to be the thing that happens, but I think the community is going to get the miners to do something if the core team won't be the people to step up and try to unify the community. BTC isn't going to lose it's real share (which is people using BTC for usage, not for trading) to a coin that is only used for traders (like most altcoins)

Bitcoin will change, only time will tell though if it's going to be a fast or a very slow change. At this rate, and with all the current news I'm personally expecting it to be one of those changes that is really slow.

4093  Economy / Speculation / Re: IS BITCOIN GOING BACK DOWN? on: June 05, 2017, 12:43:22 AM
Writing with capslock on is considered shouting in internet space. Don't do it.
It will go down, no question about it. Noone knows when and how much tho.
The ignore button is also your friend--and mine, too, and OP is prompting me to hit it.

I don't think bitcoin will dip back down to $1500, but it sure as hell could.  There's no guarantees in crypto, and volatility is the norm.  We shot up to $2500 within a couple months (I think), and we could easily drop back down just as fast.  Why don't you give us your opinion, OP?  Of course I won't see it after I hit that ignore button.

Yeah simply following what this guy said is something that I said for a good amount of time. The price in Bitcoin (and really the entire rest of crypto) shot up WAYYY too fast, to the point of making me and many others think that their is some sort of bubble present.

Every so often a correction comes, this could be one of those small corrections or it could be the big one which launches Bitcoin back to a normal price.

Though, if anyone could fully anwer your question OP with something that'd be 100 percent right, I'd doubt they'd be letting people know on a public internet forum. So, your guess is as good as mine when it comes to what happens next with BTC.
4094  Economy / Economics / Re: The fluctuation in pricing.. on: May 31, 2017, 05:55:35 PM
Fluctuation in pricing is good for the people that simply want to use Bitcoin as another sort of investment/day trading option, but it is horrid for people who actually want to use it as a currency and see it survive and thrive. Simply because with more and more people using Bitcoin as a way to day trade, it's going to lose it's normal base of users as they're scared of losing a ton of money and will just go back to traditional mediums such as Cash, Credit Card, Debit, etc.

So, Bitcoin is going to need a scaling solution and the fluctuating / volatility in pricing to stop for it to really come to a time where it has a high amount of adoption by people.
4095  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: May 31, 2017, 12:26:30 PM
I don't really have an issue with it in the least, I would allow people to try drugs that are regulated and worked within certain guidelines such as Marijuana at certain dosages to be able to fight the epidemic with other narcotics such as Heroin, Prescription Pills, and so on and so forth.

The government should be using this to be able to help regulation and to be able to make sure people aren't taking in other drugs and being addicted to something else when smoking / doing another drug (when drug dealers don't give pure substances to be able to make more money) And they should use this as a way to tax it and to educate people on the effects of drugs with this tax money, or a portion of it at least.

So, I support it to an extent.
4096  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Manchester Explosion on: May 31, 2017, 10:39:39 AM
This day is a terror day.  In philippines there is maute group who terrorize the southern philippines.  In UK there is a blast in arianne grande concert.  Something is wrong in this world people nowadays get crazy.

This is something that I've said for awhile, the worlds a changing and there is nothing we can do but try to stop these deadly attacks from happening again. You must change the world, but we shouldn't allow the number of attacks to somehow normalize it in the least and we should always take these attacks with the highest degree of sadness and hope to be able to change something in the world to stop this from occurring again.

Who knows how to stop it though, it's one of those things that's tough if the people are homegrown - the only thing you can do is surrender some of your freedoms to the government for them to watch over and ATTEMPT to find a terrorist that is homegrown, though even then that may not work.
4097  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Open His Wallet - Melania Wear 51 500 USD Jacket In G7 Summit on: May 31, 2017, 05:23:52 AM
Donald Trump can be happy, not every president wife at G7 summit in Italy can wear Dolce & Gabbana jacket at 51 500 USD price. Look at details here - http://edition.cnn.com/2017/05/26/politics/melania-trump-dolce-gabbana-jacket-sicily/.
Such ostentation obscene for meetings of this level. Trump still did not understand that politics is not a trendy hangout and there are limits of decency. Any dictator who robs his country to wear so that compared to him the Trump family will look poor. Trump is just a silly narcissist.

Well, that's the problem with your argument here bud. He isn't stealing money from the American people to buy this clothing - this is something that he can afford to buy for his wife/something his wife can afford to buy with family money and she bought it. It's not like they don't have the money and connections to pay for this lavish lifestyle.

So, you'd probably be doing this same sort of thing if you had the money that the Trump family had but you, and I, and tons of other people can't do this - but would love to.
Let them do what ever they want,Trump being a billionaire it is not a big deal because money is not a concern for them and they can wear any expensive stuff and with the power of money if he could be the president of America then anything is possible. Cheesy

Here.
4098  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The next step to impeach Trump. on: May 31, 2017, 04:01:47 AM
Gosh, is this the argument that the Liberals and all of the old Clinton lovers are going to go on now? We're going to impeach a sitting President for no reason (well, maybe because you don't like him but that isn't a REAL reason)

Now let's just say that he did do something for a second, just to entertain the idea a little bit I highly doubt the current makeup of the Senate would even think about impeaching him because of the Republicans ruling the Senate.

Plus if you impeached him you'd have Mike Pence as President and THAT IS a liberals worst nightmare. So pick your poison fuckers Smiley

With love!
4099  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Did I just lose $2000 wiring money trying to buy BTC today? on: May 31, 2017, 03:16:55 AM
Yeah, Gemini or your bank should be able to reverse the transaction with EASE that's the thing about using normal currencies which is a blessing and a demonic thing at certain points as people can reverse transactions when it comes to normal currency but if a simple mistake is made you're not losing tons of money over it.

So, don't fear dude you'll get your money back but just make sure to contact Gemini and you'll be on your way soon. If they don't answer or are ignoring you, just go to the Bitcoin section of reddit (NOT BTC) and simply complain until one of the people on their support team just succumbs.
4100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Long Does Physical BTC Wallets last? on: May 31, 2017, 03:14:42 AM
I'd say THEY have to last a pretty long time and probably as long as any of these online wallets as normally one of them a year gets "hacked" and runs away with all the customer funds. So, I'd be expecting them to last for a pretty long time and they probably have some sort of backup / Warranty of the product that they have or they would just lose the respect that they've gained over this time.

I think you're supposed to have a paper wallet backup just incase if something goes south here's the link if anyone has a trezor and wants to go ahead and drink it - https://doc.satoshilabs.com/trezor-faq/warranty.html

So, probably pretty long if you don't be dumb with it and throw it around and such.
