4081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot ICO on: December 19, 2020, 04:26:19 PM
Those who bought Polkadot and Dfinity tokens in their ICO sales are the luckiest investors. Both projects seem to be the most important coins for 2020 because they could help crypto-industry a lot. Polkadot aims to interconnect all blockchains together. Dfinity is very similar to Polkadot.  Cool

Yes, because that's how crypto works, it's not an easy and straight line, most of the time you really have to wait before you can make a lot of profits. Looking at the thread, it started on 2017, so it's a 3 year hold before you can finally book and withdraw all your winnings.

So this is a lesson for crypto enthusiast, specially that are still in the beginning of their journey, there is no shortcut, you have to have a lot of patience and mental toughness to succeed in this market.
4082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin This year & Next year. on: December 19, 2020, 04:05:05 PM
This year of the pandemic was not bad for BTC when everything lost their position then only the online stores gain their success. Besides this digital currencies try to pick their target and they gain their level enough. So I think next year will be more favorable. And we want to see the achievement of the target of BTC in the year 2021.

The pandemic really magnify what bitcoin can be in the future, it can be store of value or hedge against hard times, and then eventually being an asset reserved for big companies such as MicroStrategy and then Paypal also enter the picture.

I know it doesn't sounds right, but we have to thank the pandemic, as we achieve astronomical heights and then with the current super rally at the end of the year, there could be no upper limit, we could hit $50k or even $100k.
4083  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touch 22000$. 🤑 what's Next? on: December 19, 2020, 03:37:02 PM
$23,000 was already touched so now we speculate to hit Bitcoin at $25,000 before end of the year. In my opinion there is a chance to hit it, as long there is no bad news about bitcoin and only the good news will be spread.

Even if there is no bad news the market could still go down, the Cryptocurrency market is one of the highly volatile market in the trading business, because people are selling and buying on their own reasons, we can only speculate and right now the best price could go up to $25000 and the correction could go down to $20000, still good price though.

That's what I'm thinking as well, the new support will be the previous all time high.

Currently it touches $23,500 and it could go as high as $24k in the next 4 hours and could close the daily candle again in green. If it did, then it will remain bullish to $25k before the end of the year, so why not go for it if we can enough buyers to push it to that levels.

Of course we should prepare for any correction, we already know how volatile it is so we should have the mentality to face it when the price goes down.
4084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 36th America's Cup 2021 discussion on: December 18, 2020, 10:09:07 PM
No, been following this sports for many years, and as far I know, this sailing yachts race have been here for centuries now.

I haven't bet on it though, So Luna Rosa will be the challenger, this yacht has been sailing since 2000 and obviously, it has been upgraded so that it can compete again.

@mindrust - there's also a Louis Vuitton cup  Grin, this companies sponsored this sporting event.

New Zealand yacht though are so dominant in this race.
4085  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought BTC at 23.5K$ on: December 18, 2020, 09:35:52 PM
By seeing the increasing in price rapidly I invested in bitcoin. Was it the perfect time? What is the prediction of price for now with reason?!

I think for now that will be the top price of bitcoin, because after hitting it, there's no more push to the price. What I'm saying is that we could encounter some resistance and would settle around $22,500, unless there's enough whales again.

There is no perfect time to enter the market as we can't really predict the future. The best thing for you is just HODL on your BTC. Don't do something stupid like selling it right now because obviously, you will lose and not make any profits.
4086  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin All time High $23k : What is secret of this High . on: December 18, 2020, 01:48:52 PM
I am Not Understanding This high

17th December In Morning $22k When I Check in Noon Time $23K It Super High.

There is no secret, then the market is in a super rally, we really don't know when it is going to stop. Currently it went as high as $23,500 and total settles down around $20k. As for the cause of the spike, maybe there are more buyers obviously that push the price in the last 48 hours. It's really hard to comprehend the reason when the market is very bullish.

However, you have to take into consideration that the price will not go on a continuous parabolic rise. So you also have to be prepared to see the price going down after this upside to $23k.
4087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin BREAKS $20,000! - Binance on: December 18, 2020, 01:23:34 PM
Wink 30k till the end of the year that's pretty crazy let's say

Let's not just ahead of ourselves, I don't know but I think that is too much for the market to ask. I think ending the year above $20k is already enough for me. I would rather wait for 2021 to fully see bitcoin peak again, not at the end of the year as this might look for artificial and it could follow by a big pullback which might disappoint us.

So let's wait and see, the trend is very bullish, but I'm not confident of the sudden spike, so to speak. What happened if we suddenly see a 35% retracement? People are going to bitch around and we might see another shake out from the weak hands.
4088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nearly 12% transaction fee on the ERC-20 platform! on: December 16, 2020, 01:57:02 AM
As you have said, it's hype so everyone wanted to join the boat and doesn't care if they are going to pay high transaction fee that is it getting absurd by today's standard. Perhaps they think that they can get more value and making profits 10x or even more that they are willing to take the risk of 12% transaction fees on ERC-20 platform.

And that is what hype really is, investors decision become irrational all they see in front of them if $$$. But for average joe like us, we will think twice and maybe just wait further when the transaction fees goes down because our capital money is tied. And we want to squeeze very penny and profit.
4089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRANGE RISE PATTERN on: December 15, 2020, 10:25:54 PM
As we have seen in the past, the rise in the price of Bitcoin usually results in the rise in the prices of other major cryptos like ethereum, ripple, litecoin, Bitcoin cash and so on, but the recent rise in the price of Bitcoin turns the other way for Ripple (XRP) as the latest rise in the price of Bitcoin in the last 24 hours has seen the XRP's falling like no prise rise season is on.
What could XRP be doing wrong to make its price suffer the falls while it should be rising?

Perhaps the hype has died down on XRP after the fork and the free airdrop, so investors are dumping XRP and then move to BTC that's why we have seen some spike recently, currently getting in the resistance level of $19,500.

Technically, XRP is doing nothing wrong, but this is how the market behaves, people immediately take profits and move their funds around to safety or to make more money again, in this case BTC.
4090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Constantly burning out my trades. What do I do to avoid this? on: December 15, 2020, 09:51:33 PM
It's better to reset and not chase that losses of yours. Just sit down and analyse your trading activity and see where you made your mistakes. Trading is already a journey and you need to re-learn things, you are doing TA, maybe something is not right with your analysis that's why you keep on losing.

I know, it is depressing if you lost around £10,000, but you need to stop at this point to stop the bleeding. Otherwise, your losses will keep piling up and then you will loss control of everything if you keep on trying to recover all your money. Take it step by step again and see how it goes.
4091  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why christmas? on: December 15, 2020, 09:31:21 PM
And again it is the run up to christmas.  You telling me it is just a coincidence?

Well I have my own theory as to why, first perhaps people how still have their jobs as of today will have their bonuses check obviously and might be putting aside a portion as an investment in BTC. Second, whales just pumping it up, and playing the market every season to make more money in this holiday.

But I would say though that it could be coincidence as well, we've been saying this as well every year, that the Chinese Lunar Year will also bring more money, but I have seen that it is not the case during 2018-19, maybe it was just we went on a bear market.
4092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing : Reymart Gaballo vs Emmanuel Rodriguez on December 19th on: December 15, 2020, 01:33:31 PM
More information about the fight.

Rodriguez vs Gaballo Menu

Just click the picture so it will zoom out the data written. As you can see in the picture, Gaballo's picture was not attach, this means he is not a known boxer, and there's only one meaning of this, he will be the underdog of this fight.

If that is the case then it really makes Gaballo very dangerous to Rodriguez because he is unknown. There could be video of him around, but still not enough for Rodriguez and his team to scout and prepare.

Remember Any Ruiz, I would say that he is no name that time but was given the opportunity and he grab it to upset Anthony Joshua. So we might see something similar here and it's possible to score an upset. And if you look at his record, he is a knock out artist as well.
4093  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Oyster Pearl “Bruno Block” Charged With Multimillion-Dollar Tax Evasion by DOJ on: December 15, 2020, 12:27:13 PM
The whole part of the forum that deals with altcoins/tokens is in a gray zone, and I have to admit that I don't feel very well when I know that this forum is used for almost criminal activities without any sanctions.

And still is up to this day, but the heyday that was 2017 was a very different back then and I would say that the community was really immature that time and that's why this scammers ran rampant here, and I'm not really sure if we have statistics today to see how many have used this forum to promote this scams (ICO, IEO and this whole Defi that we have today).

Yeah, I'm also not comfortable seeing this community being taken advantage by this criminals and they can get away with it. (I myself was a victim of 2 ICO's back then in 2018).
4094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin II on Jan 30, 2021 on: December 14, 2020, 11:45:44 PM

https://www.boxingscene.com/povetkin-still-recovering-from-covid-not-face-whyte-january--154044

Sad news for people who anticipated this fight to happen in January as what the title of the article says that Povetkin could not face Whyte on January as the former is still recovering from COVID-19. His case must be severe as it takes a long time for him to recover and the virus could have damaged some of his organs.

I think it is better for this fight to be postpone to the middle next year to give time to Povetkin to fully recover as to not give doubts if Whyte will win. Coivd-19 is a serious disease that damages our lungs that might affect the performance of an athlete like Povetkin.

Yes, this should be postpone on a later date as it seems that Povetkin will not fully recover and meet the Jan 30 fight as he has to train hard again. But if his body is not willing to response because of the ill effects of covid-19 then obviously his performance will be affected and he will not be 100%

We even don't know if Povetkin is really 100% recovered even if he is cleared to fight as there are other effects that we might not notice or even he himself will not feel it until after the fight when his body and mind are sort of not cooperating.

This supposedly trading platform from coingecko has everything a fake site it. First there is no coingecko trading or exchanges that I'm aware of. Second, it was just created 24 days ago and obviously, using the logo of coingecko as well.

So please be careful not to be fooled by this website, just because it has the coingecko logo and name does it mean it is trusted.
4096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing Bitcoin Ads : Mass adoption ongoing on: December 14, 2020, 10:51:29 PM
There's also this ad in Hongkong:

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-tram-ad-campaign-billboards-hong-kong/

Quote
The Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong announced Friday the start of a massive bitcoin awareness initiative called the Bitcoin Tram campaign. Various ads are scheduled to run between Sept. 11 and Oct. 8. During that time, three doubledecker bitcoin trams of various lines will cruise the east and west tracks on Hong Kong Island, each plastered with the Bitcoin logo.

So we have seen this ads across the globe and bring people's awareness about bitcoin.

And mainstream  media is already covering bitcoin as well like Al-Jazeera: https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2020/11/17/bb-bitcoin-is-back-and-it-just-soared-past-17000

As far as breaking $20k though, it's imminent, just a matter of time, but we might see it happening next year though, unless there is a big push at the end of the year to close it to a new all time high.
4097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Campaign With Coolest ETH Rewards in 2020 on: December 14, 2020, 10:24:10 PM
Yeah, the problem is that he/she didn't link the bounty project here. So I have my doubts here, specially giving out 71 ETH? You just show us the wallet address here, you can just get any wallet address out there and claim that it came from a certain project.

So just to be clear here, I have my skeptics until this is proven. You'll just putting some hype here, specially those newbies who join bounties after bounties. Maybe you are giving them false hope, just saying.
4098  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price increasing slowly. on: December 14, 2020, 01:07:02 PM
Yeah, mostly weekends where traders have all their free time to exchange.
Since yesterday night until now, it had been calm at $19k - $19.3k.
I'm kind of feeling pessimistic with $20k this year then another fall in January just like what happened last week.
No buyers in holidays. Most people will be spending more and might even exchange BTC for fiat to add to the shopping spree that will happen.  Grin
The market won't react that fast so it will reflect 2021.

I believed otherwise though, in the last 3 years, there are buyers in December, maybe those who received their Christmas bonus are putting side money to invest in crypto. Although for average joe, the price is very expensive compare to the last 3 years. But still if they are going to look for the long term then it is a good investment for them in Christmas.

And another thing is that maybe bitcoin could be consider as give today, so we might see a new set of buyers and getting into bitcoin as a gift or presents to families and friends this holiday.
4099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is my Bank on: December 13, 2020, 02:43:35 PM
On the contrary, there are people in 2017, who quit their day job to focus solely on bitcoin and crypto trading. Unfortunately, we entered a bearish market in 2018-2019 so I really don't know what happen to those individual if they were able to survived the bear market and make money to bring food to the today.

Perhaps you and the rest of newbies you enter the market wherein we are in the bullish trend and you make some decent money even after you lost your job. But let me remind you that there could be worst cases, like I mentioned so you have to take that into consideration. You might want to save for the future if you can.

As the saying goes though, "Be your own Bank" (BYOB) and that's what you are getting into right now. Best of luck in your journey.
4100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev - JOSHUA WINS IN ROUND 9 on: December 13, 2020, 01:09:24 PM
Let us not forget it took Joshua 9 rounds to defeat Pulev and he managed to knock him out in the final few seconds of that round. If Pulev managed to stand up the referee would have allowed the fight to continue which means at very earliest Joshua could have won was the 10th.

On current form he would struggle against Wilder and have no chance against Fury.

We see it the same way, Joshua seems soft compared to the two boxers, a Joshua vs Wilder would be very exciting, but of course since he is a champion, he needs to fight a champion as well and that is Fury, now, if these two will fight soon, it would be interesting to know the betting odds as I'll certainly bet on Fury early.

I will reckon that Fury might have a @1.40 odds in the beginning if ever a Fury vs Joshua will happen in the future.

Does anyone really think that Pulev has a chance against Joshua here? It's good that there some trash talking during the weigh in, but if you look at the odds, Joshua is clearly the favourite and he did what he needed to do by knocking out Pulev with good uppercut and finished him with the right hand.

Now that Joshua wins, Fury and Joshua needs to settle things as to who is the best Heavyweight right now.
