4081  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Yieldly- fake team member photos on: October 11, 2020, 05:53:43 AM
Now this is where it gets interesting you know. The account promoting the ANN has locked it and stopped posting about it, so I guess the topic here can remain. The scammers will just contact a new person to post it and they will gladly do that at the promise of some shitcoins in the "future".

This is the bad effect of the bounty managers who have been accepting jobs without pay first or escrow first from the project because the owners will just move on to someone else to do it.

Sadly we cannot rule this problem out from its root but have to use these methods to flagNtag the accounts. I am sure the tagged user will come back asking for flag removal pretty soon. Lips sealed
4082  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 4 BTC loan secured by Modular Home on: October 10, 2020, 12:16:52 PM
14’x70’ Modular Log Home as collateral
Do you even own it? Even if you did you would have to prove ownership, such things would be better done in the physical methods than online. So it would be better to locate a loan shark nearby than from this forum.

Quote
Need Loan 6 month balloon interest 20%
Pretty high rate, but I doubt you will find anyone. Its better to check the bank nearby of credit groups nearby.
4083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone bet on the sharks yet ? on: October 10, 2020, 06:20:51 AM
That news channels and a few more UK based news channels are well known to make propaganda news which are often directed at emotionally moving topics or just plain propaganda. So take it with a bit of a salt.

I am not completely denying that they are making up BS, but just think about it. How much would it need from the humans to keep track of these sharks movements? A lot of work to tag and mark them and keep them afloat and use that for determining who is winning or so.

TBH, this seems to be a shilling attempt for that specific site mentioned in the article. But I agree that gamblers often get bored to get rid of their boredom do some eerie and weird things to bet on.

Not a fan of such things though. Roll Eyes
4084  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to generate leads on early investors for a gaming/casino blockchain? on: October 10, 2020, 06:07:52 AM
A few software developer and crypto nerds and I have been developing a decentralized online gaming casino.  Our software developer leader designed -snip- Our plan is to have 95% of all profit generated split among stakers  (will be decentralized ran from investors nodes around the world)
Many other casinos have done the same previously. Notable mentions are crypto-games, YoloDice and some Ethereum token based casinos which are still running I think.

Quote
However our biggest hurdle is that none of us are super-rich, we have all spent countless months and our own money working in our free time and a project like this requires a significant more amount of money than we currently have.
Your developers developed those casinos without payment? You must have had good pitch then. Cheesy

Quote
I got a recommendation to come here for ideas, another recommended putting out anonymous wallet for donations,
What I can recommend is that you need private funding. A lot of it. Casinos dont run with 100-200 BTC on hotwallets at the ready by several thousands in order to stop any possible embarrassing situations with customers. Primedice began because their owners were early adopters with huge amounts of bitcoin with them.

Quote
We are still about 10-12 months before we would have a fully functional program (if we get proper investing)  Any help would be great.
Well you wont be finding any private investor here, so to speak. You might only get recommendations. Get in touch with some private capitals, they might be willing to invest. Get an IPO/ICO done if possible, that might generate some revenue too.
4085  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Gaming Drive Cryptocurrency Adoption? on: October 10, 2020, 06:01:39 AM
Talking about the gaming giants like EA, Ubisoft, I would not say things are as silvery as we think it to be. These companies run on the demand for new games and new hardware that pops up from Video card makers and also powerful CPUs, in short is a saturated market similar to the smartphone market.

Now going in with crypto as a new entrant, someone would never be able to compete with them unless they create their own market. But this was not new and was tried by many projects who eventually had to sidetrack and move away from the mainstream competition. I once took part in a bounty for the Appcoins (APPC) project. They are still running but they are for developing apps/games and their payment systems only. I dont expect them to go boom at all.

There were also some scams like any other niche, back in 2017. However I think it is a long way to go before we see real game development and a competition with these companies.

Being the Devil's Advocate, based on experience what they will do to counter is that they will start accepting crypto themselves if they see crypto-projects becoming popular and again draw the market out towards them.
4086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin and crypto and fiat currency on: October 09, 2020, 06:05:13 AM
you cant fake fiat currency and if you do you got problems with law.
Counterfeit is a crime. Which country do you live in that you say you get in no such problems? I am sure a lot of money launderers are willing to know that. Grin

Quote
how we know the btc and crypto is not faked...it means the creators can create any ammount of crypto as they want as there is no law to legit forces to check over btc and crypto creators
The system by which new coins are minted is mining and to do that they need to do some "work" - that work is equivalent to solving a complex math problem presented to the device which is mining. That determines the difficulty of the blockchain which varies with more devices entering the pool or leaving the pool in order to balance the flow of new coins.

That is the only way a coin can be minted into the supply. Although I am not that tech oriented about this, there might be some verification methods to ensure integrity as well.

but.....is ethereum same fakeproof as bitcoin? Smiley
You might want to leave crypto as it is if you are getting suspicious of everything. Doubt is something that is detrimental in case you want to invest in any of these coins.
4087  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Source or Course to Learn Future Trading? on: October 09, 2020, 05:58:34 AM
I would refrain from suggesting youtube and udemy or any online course system directed towards crypto. Read carefully, you dont want those tutorials of teaching methods that are bound to implant in a seed for altcoin craze or DeFi craze in your brain. That is what majority of the youtubers have done in the past.

Rather I would suggest learning about fundamental and technical first. That too from the stock market trading channels. What I mean to say is that stay away from crypto based trading channels. Once you learn them use the same analysis on crypto and you should be good. For any new entrant to the market, this is what I suggest.

BTW, go for spot trading, futures is way more risky though. Spot take time need patience but is less risky. That too only bitcoin is what you should trade on.
4088  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ScamAlert] UniPromo.org 10,000,000 UNI fake giveaway. on: October 09, 2020, 05:53:56 AM
The way these scams get propagated is that groups in social media get posted with offers to double their money and direct them to the site. Of course it is a trap but the greed kicks into those who are foolish and they get baited. Many groups have vigilant admins but scammers will also target those groups when admins usually sleep.

Just pump any newbie with some bullcrap about UNI going to become the next Bitcoin and they will fall for it. Not everyone entering this sector is as skeptical like us to detect these scams immediately. They just need one victim per day to keep their money going, sadly.
4089  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: October 08, 2020, 05:36:47 AM
One way or another, the cryptocurrency market will be overflowing with junk coins that will not be needed by anyone, and it is also likely that they will generate some excitement around themselves thanks to artificial manipulations in order to attract as much attention as possible.
Is that what we are looking at saturation to be? I dont think so though, I always say saturation is a myth because I have seen it myself.

What you are talking about is junk coins, accepted that they useless and get delisted and are a pain in the rear for bagholders, but you see the stock market also has some shitstocks, though in much lesser proportions. Again they are regulated by a certain body and so something would be done there to protect the rights of the investors. In crypto that is not possible, at least for now.

So I  think making the market saturated with shitcoins is a wrong usage of the terms. What is correct is that only bitcoin is the thing you need to trust for long term profit.
4090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DEX : what features you want in it on: October 08, 2020, 05:33:35 AM
But, as I said at first, that’s because they are decentralized. By being decentralized they can only offer you with basic functions and nothing more, unlike CEXs that will offer margin trading and even allow you to make a deposit of fiat. It’s all with time, things will improve.
I dont think that is possible without converting themselves to a CEX or a semi-DEX/CEX hybrid. If that is even a thing (?)

The CEXs that operate have licenses. I am not sure what DEXs have in its place or have anything at all. Probably giving a middle finger show to the authorities but we also have to observe that DEXs are also getting the scorn of the authorities for such actions. Point is CEXs will survive and less likely to be running a scam in the long run. There are exceptions too but lets focus on what is important. On the other hand DEXs might very well scam its users one fine day and the authorities cant do anything about it. They are anonymous and team being unknown, very less likely that a user would be able to recover their funds lost on a DEX scam.
4091  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Yoju.Finance - Plagiarized Contents on: October 08, 2020, 05:24:39 AM
I think the moment anyone sees anything that comes with a mix of letters from Yearn+finance should immediately stop looking at that and mark it as scam. Cheesy

These guys are getting so helplessly frustrated at their feeble attempts at scamming people that they have make new domains and new ANNs everyday and attempt to get some poor soul into giving them their money.

FlagNTag is the way to go boys and girls! I left some red paint on the account, hoping other members will do the same too. Cool
4092  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Photography Story in London/ UK on: October 07, 2020, 05:44:06 AM
Building a community on the internet is one thing but here when the common interest is a cyberpunk currency where anonymity is one of the keywords, I dont think many users would be enthusiastic to show their real faces on the internet.

Now you might argue that crypto-meetups often get videotaped, but the counter-argument is that projects mainly promote there for seeking a pitch and private investments. There they need to show that they are legit (before they scam, that is Grin).

The developers of bitcoin and core are here in this forum, but most of them are very careful to not give out much information about their real identities. Are you not aware of the biggest mystery regarding Satoshi itself? The Decentralized Anonymous Organisation (DAO)?? Come on now, if you are learning about bitcoin, first do these ground work.
4093  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone inside this paid trading group ? on: October 07, 2020, 05:36:05 AM
Just have your time to read those words.
No use telling that.

I am certain of my suspicions that the OP is a shill account.

Like many other shill accounts they first ask about PnD groups like an innocent newbie while many of us attempt to explain why it is wrong to join them hoping that we can save a newbie from getting scammed and the few days later we find the same noob coming here and posting about some PnD groups which they like.

Utter nonsense and annoying methods of shilling these people have though. if they really want to promote their groups, this is not the right place for it. But it shows how helpless they are in their attempts at scamming people. Making new accounts everyday on so many forums to get more people in and then probably sell away the forum account to another scumbag.
4094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alternative of trading//newbie here on: October 07, 2020, 05:29:56 AM
Well I didnt expect a newbie to be buying UNI and then getting stuck but let me put your mind at ease by saying that many other users have also fallen prey of such coins and ended up in a stalemate like this.

Did you get these UNI on the airdrop? I expect not, so did you buy them yourself? If yes, what made you buy them?

Coming back to topic, I would suggest you to hold it because you have nothing else to do with them. Sell them if the price increases and then dont ever look back to these altcoins. What you need to put your money in is bitcoin. Any other altcoin is going to be a short term game and before you know it whales will dump on you and make you lose the money you put in. Still bitcoin has shown better performance than any altcoin out there.

Make up your mind about what you want to do too. Trading altcoins does not mean you have to day trade, you can hodl too, you might get profit too. But the mental stress and trauma might be bigger to handle. Buying bitcoin at low and you see prices like today above 10k USD surely gives you much less stress.
4095  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is the reason to give me the red trust??? on: October 06, 2020, 08:59:40 AM
Just my opinion,

Previously theymos has told that DT users who use the trust system to negative tag a person for their posting habits will not longer remain a DT member.

So Jolly should take better steps in controlling his red paint gun if they wishes to keep their status intact and also because we need them to tag scammers and continue what Jolly does good.

Reporting to the moderator is what should have been done in the first place instead of giving a negative trust. This is the job of the mods to do so let them do it. Division of duties is important here. Embarrassed

In any case, this one is over now, but have any of you informed irfan_pak about it? I found the OP's name still in the campaign list. If not, I will do it.
4096  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MTF / Multiple Trading Finance - Forex Bitcoin Related Scam on: October 06, 2020, 05:35:20 AM
I get Instagram messages fairly often like this, and at times will play along just to see what the scam is exactly, how they are trying to approach things vs other scammers etc.
I wish there was something more I could do than post about these types of scams here.  I can't believe they actually work but obviously they do.
There is sadly nothing you can do except post it on different forums at your own cost and hope that someone actually reads it and saves their own money from being lost.

But the truth is, your efforts are good but the ones who are going to get scammed are going to lose their money some way or another, because the ability to detect the scam comes from that user itself, it does not come from advice.

You can turn off your Instagram DMs - is that even possible? I dont use these social media which is full of "influencer BS" anyway so I dont know, check the settings yourself.

I do use Telegram, where similar PMs are received at times. I just block them immediately when I know they are not common with me on any group or a known contact.
4097  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Deficoin Fake Team member & Plagiarized Whitepaper on: October 06, 2020, 05:30:55 AM
OP should open a Type 1 flag and use the topic as reference. I will gladly support it and so will the rest of the members who follow this section.

Do this on the account who posted the bounty. That "bounty manager" needs to learn how to be a manager first. This shows the dire levels of unprofessionalism among some of the bounty managers who plague the forum with such projects promotions unlike well known ones who are more diligent.

Such a manager is answerable for their actions, so make sure you PM them about it as well and to respond here with full details as to how the scam project owners contacted them and what else they know about the project's modus.
4098  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: October 06, 2020, 05:25:31 AM
Price drop is not an indicator of the trend being over or not. Some bad news may have come into view and crashed the market. You need to think from a neutral point of view when talking about these things.

I also dont like the hype that DeFi created and put that one scummy lending pools and stablecoin pools than actualy DeFi projects which did something for a service. However that does not mean that I would agree to your post. Maybe it is declining, but it is too early considering the average duration for which the previous bubbles remained active.
4099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new investment on: October 05, 2020, 06:36:14 AM
Bitcoin is one of the strong cryptocurrency and it is the most stable digital coin nowadays.
Strong in terms of price and resilience to bear markets, agreed. But stable? Stability comes in question to volatility. Now the last few months bitcoin has been stable over the 10k USD mark. But if you see the last 11years of bitcoin, it has not been so stable in price. Time becomes a factor here.

Quote
Also, bitcoin is one of the promising investment in digital world.
Promising yes, but people need to be less stubborn about investments. They need to focus on all types of investments. In crypto though only bitcoin is enough. But other than crypto there are other sectors too. It is a battle between sectors as to what is bullish today and what becomes bearish tomorrow. Hence you need to keep assets in all classes. Going all in on one is a wrong move.

Quote
Since, peoples economy nowadays are unstable due to the pandimic situation in the world.
Dude, come on now, dont make spelling mistakes like these. Anyway, economics of the middle class working people are going to vary in this time but things have become normal in many countries and people have started to accept the new.

Quote
Peoples are looking for new source of income to improve their economy.
However, majority of people in your or any other country dont even know about crypto. How do you expect them to proceed from that?

Quote
Do you think bitcoin is the best investment choice nowadays to earn money?
No. There is nothing in the world called "best". Every asset class has is pros and cons. Like I said above, you need to distribute your capital in different asset classes and give weightage as per your own choice.
4100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS: THE CARRIER OF ALL BLAMES IN NEW CRYPTO PROJECTS' PRICE DUMP on: October 05, 2020, 06:28:07 AM
Its the most realistic thing to do but there are people who do really like to gamble out their time and effort for bounty hunting and hoping that they would earn thousands of bucks from it this is why we do continue to see projects that do float around every now and then which do make some bounty task for people to spread out their existence.
This I agree with but I cant say that they really like to gamble. Maybe it is a one-off type of thing. A new user coming to this sector of making money might think of trying out bounties. They get some shitload of tokens but after 5months find out that the tokens have become worthless because someone dumped every last token. But this flow of new users keep on coming.

Quote
There are a few which are legit but majority of them are just shit projects which isnt really worth to advertise on but well this cycle would continue as long there are people who do advertise them just for them to get those valueless or useless tokens in the end of the day.
Majority, more like all of them. The days when bounties were worth doing were back in 2016-17 and after that or towards the end of 2017 each of them turned to be either an abandoned project, power struggles in management or just scams.

Quote
Signature campaign paid in bitcoin is much worth of the time and effort than on bounty hunting.
I think we can both agree to that point. Grin
