4081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH IS FIAT MONEY; BTC is decentralized hard money on: November 19, 2018, 03:34:14 AM
However, if Colored Coins decided they were going to set up a system with BCH, they could go way beyond the decentralization that they could attain with BTC....

Cool.

Why? BCH has no enhanced privacy features.

I have no opposition of health screening but we aren't doing that anymore.  ....

Standard questions and issues on the immigration forms, dude.

Every applicant....

So you are wrong. Now be honest. You are either for unimpeded illegal entry, which MEANS no health screening, or you are for legal immigration, which means health screening. And we know you are for unimpeded illegal immigration, so stop the lying ("saying things that are false"/"being misinformed" blah-blah-blah) about being for health screening.

....
We are at the bridge, THIS is us getting to it.  Honduras has suffered a historic drought at the same time of this instability.  Same with Syria and the horn of Africa.
No, it's not. Again, you are wrong.

You just can't slap blame on climate change for every stupid political agenda item you are told to believe in over and over.

The Government of Honduras declared State of Emergency in the Dry Corridor from August 15th until December 31st, 2018, to address the lack of water provoking a loss of crops. The drought, triggered by El Niño, affects 145 municipalities from 13 departments.

El Nino is a standard, ordinary and periodic weather event.
https://reliefweb.int/disaster/dr-2018-000106-slv

What are El Niño and La Niña?
El Niño and La Niña are opposite phases of a natural climate pattern across the tropical Pacific Ocean that swings back and forth every 3-7 years on average. Together, they are called ENSO (pronounced “en-so”), which is short for El Niño-Southern Oscillation.

https://www.climate.gov/news-features/understanding-climate/el-niño-and-la-niña-frequently-asked-questions

The ENSO pattern in the tropical Pacific can be in one of three states: El Niño, Neutral, or La Niña. El Niño (the warm phase) and La Niña (the cool phase) lead to significant differences from the average ocean temperatures, winds, surface pressure, and rainfall across parts of the tropical Pacific. Neutral indicates that conditions are near their long-term average.

A suspect can deny gravity if they want, they are free to, that doesn't make gravity go away or change. Also denying charges is not equivalent to rejecting the entire judicial process. Also, weren't you people fond of saying over and over again "this is not a criminal investigation, it is a job interview?" So which is it?

The kettle calling the pot black right there.

Weren't you one of the people the enjoy sucking trump's cock? Cause I'm pretty sure you do that in every thread regardless of the topic.

Avenatti respects the legal system unlike others.

Quoting for posterity, since no one else took a full quote. Wouldn't want it edited out later right?

Blue certainly does have a fixation on sucking trump's cock. I remain puzzled by the use of a homophobic slur by a rabid running dog of the left.

The US already has a border.  People hate Trump's wall for many reasons....

Mainly international interests induce liberals to work against the wall because a porous open border would serious weaken the US. Just like it weakened Europe. That's what those international interests want.

The next "caravan" will be 100,000 or millions of people. They are organized for political purposes by people with motives.

The interest of the US is served by letting those in who we want in, not  hardened criminals and not those with certain infectious diseases.

It's our right to select who comes in, and it's not the right of whomever wants in to get in.

For just one example, a left wing radical communist like yourself. I wouldn't let you in the USA.
.....
Historically, people showed up at Ellis Island and were widely accepted.  Your idea of social engineering and selection of people based on racial quotas and an "ideal immigrant" is very new and reminds me of nazi Germany's desire to create a supreme race of people.  The US was built on multiculturalism and the quote on the statue of liberty should still hold merit.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2018/10/30/solve-migrant-caravan-problem-help-us-economy-work-visas-column/1811074002/

I respect your honesty but the idea that you would discriminate against someone because their political views are different from yours is un-American.  Your desire to create a nation of people who only hold the views you hold is bigoted.  I would never suggest the denial of someone simply because we have difference of political opinion.

A lot of people come to America to avoid that same sort of political persecution you are suggesting.  Have you no respect for diversity? Shame.  Your sense of urgency is alarming.  Why do you feel so threatened in the first place?  If your ideas are correct and righteous, shouldn't you have faith that they will win out and withstand the test of the time?
No, you are definitely one I would not let in, but you have not understood the reasons why.  That's fine with me. I wouldn't let you in because of your constant lying. As an example, your words, totally made up....

Historically, people showed up at Ellis Island and were widely accepted.  Your idea of social engineering and selection of people based on racial quotas and an "ideal immigrant" is very new

You obviously don't know or care about the actual facts about Ellis Island. For example, people with turberculosis were turned back there. Good policy, right? Accept only healthy people? And you don't know about country quotas either, right?

Of course you knew about those things, you're just lying because it suits you.

As for future caravans of climate change, sure...buddy....

We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

4086  Other / Politics & Society / Re: SpaceX and the prospects of Mars colonization. on: November 18, 2018, 07:53:19 PM
There will never be a Mars colonization, you have no idea of how much Mars is distant from planet Earth

That's just gonna make it a distant colony!
4087  Other / Politics & Society / Re: SpaceX and the prospects of Mars colonization. on: November 18, 2018, 05:51:24 PM
I like the idea of colonizing Mars, but, as the OP said, it's a tough job to pull off and I am not that convinced that it's the best idea to colonize Mars first. I think there are more chances to go and colonize Venus, a planet that it's similar to Earth in size (so similar gravity), closer to us than Mars and a bit more protective because, unlike Mars, Venus has a magnetic field to protect inhabitants against radiation.

I don't say that you have to live on the surface, because everyone knows on the surface of Venus is living Hell. But you can build floating cities that live high in the atmosphere, where they don't have to endure high pressure and scorching temperatures. Because the atmosphere on Venus is so heavy, it will be easy to float entire cities in it's upper atmosphere.

Well, you'd need the materials to build those cities with...

How about colonizing Antarctica? It'd be a whole lot easier than another planet, although it would still be very difficult.

Hello friends
Am new to the forum but already am feeling a sense of acceptance from the forum from both gender(although it's hard to decipher sex from some names) Which is in a huge contrast to what I and so many women like be pass through in West Africa.
It's so appalling that the women are limited to domestic work and not giving much chance to achieve there dreams. Women are just seen as a property rather than an existing being, families trade their daughters out to the  highest bidder without even giving her a choice or even wondering what her dreams are.
Women are fast losing the sense of self esteem and inferiority complex is fast creeping and affecting our zeal.  I have always been a knowledge seeker regardless of my background I want to be seen as an example to other women From my region. I  am not so financially buoyant but I have taken it up to myself to spend from my little purse to seek my cryptocurrency knowledge and also raise women in my region and make them independent and not under the shadows of anybody.

I would be seeking your encouragement in achieving this goals. We owe it to humanity

What's wrong in being a woman?

I have seen the treatment of women in Africa and agree.

Your links-links totally don't matter.

4091  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are some people still skeptical about climate change? on: November 18, 2018, 01:57:42 PM
There isn't any evidence that it is more a result of sun cycles though.  The problem is that you are looking for reasons (that have all been dubunked) to deny climate change instead of just looking at all of the evidence.  ...

So now it's clear you don't know what you are talking about. That being the case, please stop trying to push your own ignorance on others. Here is one example of effects of solar and space weather on climate. This is CERN and the CLOUD experiment, pretty darn reputable.

https://home.cern/news/news/experiments/cloud-experiment-sharpens-climate-predictions

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the Earth’s mean temperature is predicted to rise by between 1.5 – 4.5 °C for a doubling of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which is expected by around 2050. One of the main reasons for this large uncertainty, which makes it difficult for society to know how best to act against climate change, is a poor understanding of aerosol particles in the atmosphere and their effects on clouds.

...The results also show that ionisation of the atmosphere by cosmic rays accounts for nearly one-third of all particles ...

So since you know so much, which is it? 1.5C or 4.5C?

Hint: There's only one right answer, anything else is lying.
4092  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gender dysphoria & ''Age dysphoria''? on: November 18, 2018, 05:11:16 AM
Post modernism. The idea is to constantly question everything until the very foundations of what holds our society together are no longer even considered a collective reality. It is right out of Critical Theory & The Frankfort School. The goal is to destroy society as we know it to pave the way for Marxism, Socialism, then Communism.

Although much of post modernism drones autonomously forward, post-collapse of the major Marxism countries and power systems, which have largely morphed into gangster operations today.

But post modernism drones on.

I never said you were white.  I have no idea what anyone's identity is on the internet.

Internalized oppression is a concept in social justice in which an oppressed group comes to use against itself the methods of the oppressor.

Its not surprising that the dominant identity has tendencies that often manifest themselves in minorities.

The problem with you is that you read a bunch of total shit and believed it, and repeat it with minor variations.

That's assuming you are human. The other case is you are a simple rule based algorithm, with three hundred pieces of grammar that can be intermixed and selected based on key words, and auto pasted.

I favor the latter option, but welcome you to prove you are human.
4094  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are some people still skeptical about climate change? on: November 18, 2018, 04:58:20 AM
I dont understand getting caught up on how temperature data has been presented.  Do you disagree that higher concentration of CO2 leads to increased temperatures?  We know pretty precisely how much CO2 we are releasing because its basic chemistry from the mass of carbon fuel we burn.

In the presentation of temperature data, and in the near term likely effects of global warming, there has been massive lying. That's the only way to put it.

There has been some reasonable statements and cautions about possible dangers, that is mostly seen from scientists and engineers. From lay people and environmentalists, there has been massive exaggerations and outright lying.

Including on this forum. Who is "caught up in how temperature data is presented" is those doing the lying, not I. For example, people that try to cry hysterically that Greenland and Antarctica will melt, blah-blah-blah.

That is a very good point. Looking at this from an insurance perspective, I wouldn't touch it with a 100ft pole. Liquid fuel cars at least are pretty much only a danger to the driver and at most someone they impact. Pressurized gas fuel tanks are also a danger to however many bystanders and first responders that may be even great distances away. That is a liability nightmare.
Wow, a thought just occurred to me. Think of those cars with h2 popping off in the middle of one of those California fires. That'd be like a damn war zone.

Yes, there are other issues. Traffic jams in tunnels / accidents in tunnels. Parking garages. For that matter, any garage including home garages.

There was a family that I helped out some time back, that had stored a BBQ propane bottle in their garage. It leaked, and their house blew up. That house was nothing but a scatter of 2x4s about 300 feet. Nothing else but the concrete slab. H2 would certainly be more dangerous than propane.

I am very disappointed in you because I typed up all of those real-world examples and clarifications only for you to disregard all of them and resort to name-calling.  You didn't even communicate what you had a problem with other than semantics.  You're really going to call someone names over a semantic disagreement?

Why would any of this fit my bias? I grew up in the most capitalist country with capitalist parents and have inherited rental property.  I am an academic, a scientist who seeks to find examples of solutions to the world's social, economic and environmental problems.   I've noticed patterns in my studies and formed my opinions from those.

Because you don't offer reality. All you offer is theories and desires, yet you offer ZERO information regarding HOW you claim we can get there. Also all of your arguments require we just simply ignore the endless history of failures of your ideology and the millions of lives it costs to try it over and over and over again. Socialism INEVITABLY results in a totalitarian state. How am I supposed to argue against a fantasy?

But there are is so much power and wealth to be gotten on the way to the utopian fantasy state. And if you have the right psychology, you too could have a piece of it.

If you read a little about the reasons for the dismissal of the founder of WhatsApp, you will understand that your personal data doesn't mean a thing for Facebook.
So I think we will hear such stories again and again....

And thus arose Telegram...
Nah, not even close pal. But I know you don't care.
Until a certain time, everything looked like Durov was ready to sacrifice large markets for his convictions. Now it looks like the situation has changed, but Telegram isn't tipping off user data here and there.

Sweet... sweet summer child... You don't get it. The instant you put your information in the hands of a 3rd party it is not yours or private any more. End of story.

It's much more instructive to ask "what does the large clump of data want to do" than to discuss individual humans or silly issues such as their "convictions."

The large clump of data always wants to gain power.
4099  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Society's misguided fear of hydrogen; a result of oil corporation? on: November 18, 2018, 01:06:47 AM
I like how all of a sudden, idiots think nitrogen is the exact same chemical as hydrogen....

Nitrogen is not nitrous oxide.

An oxidizer tank does not explode.

There is no difference in which pressurized gas is contained, when the containment breaks open. Then the tank disassembles rapidly. The speed of escaping gas may be calculated from its pressure; the force and speed that it accelerates shrapnel may be similarly calculated.

You know nothing about these subjects.

4100  Other / Politics & Society / Re: GAI (General Artificial Intelligence) will it include Emotional Intelligence? on: November 18, 2018, 01:03:35 AM
I've often wondered about this.

I suspect that with powerful intelligence then perhaps empathy ( the ability to reverse the situation or place ones perceived self in others position) and perhaps other emotions will naturally develop.

This low level pure logic/math intelligence maybe just the initial stages of AI before it becomes automatically corrupted/enhanced by emotion and self awareness ..ego etc.../.

Then again it could be just the emergent stages of cold, calculating psychopathic entity.
