OH WOW!  Grin awesome guys

the upside on this pool is huge.   I got 20x what I would have earned mining at btcguild or cex.io for the last 17 hours.

I use 7x sp20's here or btcguild or cex.io  and I mine 1 sp20 at ck's solo pool

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.0

7x 1.2th = 8.4th  this earns about .1 btc a day

only 17 hours to earn 1.95 coins I should only earn about 0.1 in that time.

Who cares for the noise Tongue
what is the hash rate?

I maxed at 1290-1305 at freq 412 with a second fan for cooling it used 675 watts.
40866  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Dec 29 to Approx Jan 12th diff thread (4%) to (7%) on: January 03, 2015, 04:26:04 PM
why ? you actually want it to go bad for everyone ?

no of course not.  but at 200 usd I would hope the big guys fold up shop.

I have more then 10k on the table. I am not looking for a total meltdown.

I have 8 sp20's say 4000 to 5000

I have 15 coins say 4500

I have 7 quality psu's say 1000

so I am at a 10k point.

I can deal with price drop to 200 if it stops the difficulty in its tracks.

that pool does not work I signed up and tried to run an sp20 on it.  do a different pool

put in this for a pool

stratum+tcp://mmpool.org:3333 ---------  pool name

philipma1957.1       --------                      user name

d=400      ---------                                   password

run it 5 minutes   note it is hashing for me for the 5 minutes if it works

please  post another screenshot so I can see what it shows.

Quote

its same after 5 mins also..after some time its restarts..but the values is never shown greater then 0.

if anyone want this miner and also want  away from the noise at the same time
you can go for me

i provide host service for s5 and charge host fee according 0.1$ per kw'h
which means if the power consumption of s5 is about 600w, the host fee for one s5 is 0.6*0.1*24*30=43.2$ per month

i am not scamer, i have provided host service on this forum for more than 6 month, even philipma host one a1 miner in my data center for three month

I did business with pcfli  and he was okay.

He may be good for you if your power is too costly.

I am not sure how he is setting up hosting of this gear.

lee put up  a link to your thread  if you want to.

To anyone  that uses pcfli I get no money from lee.  And while the deal i did with him was okay I do not know the future .  His place is in China.

I do not know any details and I do not know if it will work out for you.  Lee  sold me and hosted a dragon miner for me for 120days and then purchased it back. His service was good not perfect. Say April 2014 to August 2014.

I  broke even on this more because of good btc price sales on my part.
For the 120 days of hosting I was up and hashing around 118 days. Which was more then 98% up time.

everything is great for bitcoin miners !
difficulty skyrocketing and price going to the ground!
what could be better ? Cool

yep I am hoping for 200 usd coin price  and a diff of 50xxxxxxx by the end of Jan 2015.

40870  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin mining is doomed ! on: January 03, 2015, 04:03:37 PM
1.The difficulty is starting to have huge increases again while the price is going DOWN, it already is below 300 !
2.My estimate is that next difficulty is going to be above 15 % and the others following will be somewhere around same level !
3.Soon NEXT GENERATION ASICS will be launched and the difficulty will start raising even more, we might see 30-40 % + increases in difficulty,
and the miners we bought now will be absolute, with no chance to EVER ROI.

With all these, let's just ask ourselves:
Is it still worth mining bitcoin right now ?

absolutely.

I am  Looking forward to  a 200 dollar coin price and 50xxxxxxx diff by my birthday the end of January.

Ask me why?

in fact.. it's not mining.  Cry

you had this and a s-5 on the same psu?
your evga 1600 g2?

did you run 4 cables to the s-5 and 4 cables to the sp20.  that psu has 9 separate cables.

please pull all the cables and examine them

Will the New Year's GB still be going on Monday?
We didn't decide yet.
RoadStress decided, we'll extend to Monday midnight.

Sounds good.  My OCD kicked in and I went ahead and ordered 4 more through the GB.  Support and a solid metal unit wins out. Thanks!

yeah I sold the s-5 demo since the unit 's sound and lack of stacking do not work well for me.  I have 8 running sp20's and although I know I should not buy any more I want another 2. Must resist.
So, can we declare a winner here?

 for me the sp20

as  the noise levels on the s-5  and lack of stacking rule it out in my home.  but that is my house.  other homes the s-5 will be the better choice.

I have to post a photo of my final sp20 six pack stack in my garage.

i have s3 miner which is connected to internet and i am able to access through default IP 192.168.1.99 but its not hashing..i have correct pool and the pool is connected..but in miner status page its not hashing its shows as zero...

i have tried to reset the machine but its same .Attached is the screenshot.
<snip> img </snip>

Go to Network tab then click edit on your connection then switch the protocol to DHCP and Save & Apply.
You'll get a new IP address, so it will not be on 192.168.1.99 anymore, but will begin hashing straight away.

yes i tried that but even then its not hashing..now the network have assigned it a value 192.168.1.100...

12 seconds into startup wait for 5 minutes.  if it still shows 0 post a screen shot
40875  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: January 03, 2015, 02:37:52 PM
Fellas you might want to look at bitcoin prices today before you start another group buy.

299 great  I am hoping for a drop to 200 .

Why so?

I am all sp20 a drop to 200 usd will force out a lot of miners that are using any power hungry gear.

all the  s-3's turn into money losers at about 200 usd.

@ raskul try shutting it off for an hour  then power it up again.

I'll be ordering two of these when my last miner is gone. Noise doesn't concern me, the Bitmine unit I have here is noisy as all hell and is unbearably hot to run.

if noise is not an issue they are pretty good.  I sold mine and he has an added pull fan.  it clocks to 412 and temps are about 58c.

Is this the correct link to order S5's from Amazon via Bitmain ?

http://www.amazon.com/AntMiner-S5-~1155Gh-0-51W-Bitcoin/dp/B00RBV2OE6

Notice there is a $100 premium purchasing via Amazon ? Looking to acquire another unit to test extreme underclocking and getting an S5 running quiet enough to run in a bedroom.

he is not bitmaintech he is a reseller.

how about here via paypal

40880  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Dec 29 to Approx Jan 12th diff thread (4%) to (7%) on: January 03, 2015, 01:51:57 PM
Estimated Next Difficulty:    46,109,824,103 (+13.46%)

How you like me now?

The dent in diff by paycoin was only 2%. And the hash rate reported for paycoin was like ~30ph
The missing part of 2% and 30hp we are going to see it now!

Let me put it another way because i know i got diff in expressing myself:
If the network has lost only 2%(see diff) but the reported speed on the other side was ~30hp this means that those (30hp minus 2%btc diff) were up and running in ~december!

Until most of the miners are on an technological process at the same level with most of the it industry, we are going to still have serious bumps in hash rate!

Negative diff will be only in unexpected cases!

knew it would jump but 13% surprised me.
