Hey CrazyGuy how is it going on that image for the RPI? I know you said you were working on it the other day just curious as to how you're making out on it. Also Philipma1957 just wondering if you made that new wire yet and if you did, do you have any new numbers yet? I am just waiting for your numbers before I buy the 12/3 or the 10/3. Would you also happen to know where I could pick up more wires for the evga 1300G2 I got from you? I found them but they are crazy expensive. Im sure someone on this forum makes them, I have just yet to find anyone making/selling them. Thanks

just a little bit more time.

the post office is dropping them off today.

I think the 12 gauge will be good enough.

it does much better then the stock 14 ga.

the 14 ga rates for

the 12 ga rates for 1875 watts and the evga 1300 pulls 1250   so it runs cool.

I will post more info on this tonight.  I will have 2 new cords built and test them.

I found a great way to get a true number on the k-watt meters  and will post.

40943  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty slowdown: Is this turning into a long-term trend? [Discussion Thread] on: October 30, 2014, 02:17:39 PM
So price needs to get near $200/BTC in a few months for things to even out?
(ignoring any unforeseen external factors for the sake of the argument)

those charts say that.  right now coins are 331 and growth for this jump is about 4.5%.  I for one think 200 is too low.  I think 300 is the cutoff as I think the big guys want a better margin of error.

What charts? My charts? They dont say anything of the kind. They cant predict BTC exchange rate at all, they can only predict network hashrate given assumptions like the BTC exchange rate.

Relax internet sucks for a detailed discussion we all write in a shorthand of sorts.   We are voicing an interpolation of your charts as to how growth will be.

fairglu sees flat diff  increase at  a price  of 200 usd by looking at your charts.

I see flat diff increase at 300  since I think your charts shows a flat diff at 200 and I think the big builders want a safety margin  of sorts.

I see the big builders being able to move the network 100% bigger in under 60 days.  I see them not doing it since they think it is a losing move. Due to the fact they are mining more then half the coins as I type.

BTW coins are 336 right now .  I just purchased 1 from coinbase.  As I am still bullish on them.

I'm mining away, and viewing stats over TOR Browser, but wanted to know if there are any issues with trying to process a withdrawal now?

Thanks, sorry this creeper is wasting everyone's time. And for nothing...

withdraws are working fine.

they also worked for me.

a newer set of pool numbers.  I will try to post this 1 time each morning. I did the first 80 or so miners. we do have around 480 but the first 80 or so all have over 0.01 btc which is around 35 bucks.

Please forgive the noob questions bu the answers may help someone else decide to pull the trigger.

How difficult is setting one of these up?

What purpose does the Block Eruptor serve?

The Prisma can not stand-alone like the Antminer S3?  -----correct it does not have a built in controller

Sounds like it will run cgminer on a RaspPi but takes some set-up? ---- correct it needs an adapter wire which is provided and the rasp pi needs an sd with the correct image on it.

Will Minera support the Prisma?

I put an s-3 here and an s-3 on cksolo.  getting 2 more s-3's on weds will add 1 here and one on  cksolo.

I am also running and on tor stats are saying we are up to 50.3th

I will post tor stats in the morning about 8 hours from now.  We can make do.  I can go deeper on the list tomorrow.

I have a proxy in place now so that stratum mining to mmpool.org:3333 should be working. Let me know if there are issues.

checking it now

don't know enough to do it. I setup tor and found the website  that is about it.
Under the 'Network' tab of that Miner configuration, is there a setting for SOCKS proxy?

okay clicked network tab

you  get an interface option with wan and lan I use lan   I am allowed to add an interface  can we do something here?

you get a wifi tab -----I don't do wifi

you get dhcp and dns

you get hostnames  --------- it is blank none added

static routes -----------------blank

firewall

diagnostics

still skips over your pool what is wrong?
Have you set tor up so that onion addresses resolve? If you're unable to do this I'll try and set up a proxy you can go through.

I've restored access to the pool via Tor. The Tor hidden service is phkttm64gbquasaq.onion. The pool website is available via this address and you can mine using stratum over Tor. To mine using stratum you can run cgminer using 'torify' or 'usewithtor':

Quote
usewithtor ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://phkttm64gbquasaq.onion:3333 -u myuserid -p d=32
torify ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://phkttm64gbquasaq.onion:3333 -u myuserid -p d=32

I hope to restore non-tor access at some point but this should provide a way to access your accounts and continue mining if you choose to do so.

still skips over your pool what is wrong?

might I also suggest that you contact the cybercrime dept of your local police.
Extortion is actually - highly illegal - even when it's 'just' bitcoin.

We should all report our governments to the police then - cos they're constantly at it  Wink

Well they have the most lawyers the most guns and the most money.

@ op

let me know if I can help in anyway.

Depends on country the pool owner lives in.  but in general it is a criminal activity.  What kills me is the amount someone is doing this for. 2 coins.

So for about 700 usd someone is willing to risk a lot. I know they think they are smart enough to not be caught , but  a lot of effort for a small amount.  Our pool earns a block a month if it is lucky and remember we have gone 1400 hours mining and not made a block. At our worst.  So paying this prick 2 coins and then we mine say 850 hours for the next block.  F him or her.

I wish he would bother someone else and get caught.

I've changed DNS to another server to put a temporary landing page in place. I'll update here and on that page periodically but I hope to have something in place in a few hours. At the least I will be able to re-enable Tor access until I resolve things.

good fight them.  what nasty people .

i will keep looking at site.

Well I am the top earner  around 3.33 btc if we make a block.  I would rather lose the entire 3.33 btc then have you pay this filth off.

Just do me 1 favor I switched all my s-3's to ck's solo pool.  Could you pop me a pm when this clears. thanks.  philipma1957
40960  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin and free testnet mining! on: October 28, 2014, 07:34:13 PM
just moved 3 s-3's here .  will move 2 on weds.  bringing me 6 or 3th .

I  will run them until new years day.

if diff jumps stay at 5% I will have a 1 in 10 shot at a block.

my earnings in a shared pool  would be about 2.45 coins so 10 to one is about right.
