Transparency doesn't end corruption or waste of money.
In my country there's a public database with every deal maybe by the government, it doesn't change anything.
Who maintains the database? If it is government you have found the problem all ready. On the block chain there would be no room for "cooking the books" and other government shenanigans. It doesn't need to be cooked because the shenanigans are not illegal.

Well, I actually was born before the Internet was invented, I never feared progress, I think these are amazing times to be alive and experience this transition in global communications and economy, plus free unlimited porn. how about all the people staring at their phones 24 hours a day? I don't have teenage friends... hmm, neither do i. but... pretty much everyone i know and see out in the world -- on the train everyday, in the workplace, on the street -- they are all constantly looking at their phones. this is not the case for you? Yes, more or less.

As I live in the EU I think deleting that search result can be really effective.
The forum I'm talking about is completely dead since many years now, but it still shows up at Google. Probably because people click on it while searching my name (because it's on top of the search results) and, by that, it still gets clicks.
Oh, I had the impression it was this forum... Don't you just have to contact Google somehow and request the entry to be removed?

It only affects EU countries, google.com is not censored, and there's a message some results were omitted in the country specific search, so removing that entry might not solve your problem...
