If you created your plots with a small stagger size, processing them takes a long time. You might miss your deadline if its found too late! The utility optimizes your already created files making them a lot faster to read.

Is there any difference  with 3072 stagger size and 100000 stagger size? How much time will it take to read 3 Tb with 3072 stagger size and 100000 stagger size?

There is a huge difference! 100k stagger with 3TB is ~1s for seeking, 3072 is >30s.

Thats cool

i think it is really hard to plot with 100000satgger size!
how many RAM do you need to do that?

come sta succedendo a burst!

C++ clone?

could be better yes

Its crazy.  Remember the virus clone?  People jumped on it without a second thought.  I guarantee you many will jump on next clone.  Shit or not.

Yea, without even checking the source even once. Its that "ooh, something new, lets make quick money"-people. Let them go  Wink

Yep, let the dummies walk off the cliff.

It would take something very worthwhile to get everyone to replot their drives.

with gpu is easy to replot, not for me because i've sold them all lol, but the point stand

same here!!!

just one 280x survived :-)
hope some new maxwell wid high perfo and low consumption will come on market!

The price of burstcoin is collapsing, and with it also the bitcoin.

So you should still invest by buying hdd or not?

I calculated that with 10 TH/S gain more in btc than burst! Cheesy

don't buy HDD, buy BURST.

at this difficulty buy HDD it was a waste of money...
i'm buying burst on lower price...

i'm waiting new features with this fantastic coin.

hope can arrive soon!

Is anyone else experiencing low payouts today?
I got 5 Tb ploted and another hard filling up, but only 1000 coins to show up for 12 hours of mining today

I have over 30 TB and jumped from http://burst-pool2.cryptoport.io/ to solo mining because of low payment value (about 8000 per last 24h).

WOWO !!! REALLY LOW!!! with 30TB i think you can goo a good job in solo too!
4109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 16, 2014, 01:46:04 PM
seems that we will have lots of new features
thanks dev's hardworking

Basic pool support (done)
Improved pool support (done)
Advanced transactions(escrow, subscription, reserve funds then transfer not yet known portion later)
BurstId authentication system
Allow linking BurstId to burst account for transfers with spending limits.
DHT for off-chain services
Off-chain encrypted messaging and voip between burstid accounts
File storage(disclaimer: still figuring out a good way to do this. this will take a while.)

Wow it's true ?
So I think if the community could help the dev with different things (roadmap, design, website, marketing) while he's focusing at development, BURST could easily reach 1mil market cap.

i think, red things above, are indispensable to let Burst grow!

Ok, Windows wallet and miner are working just fine on the testnet.

What Kh/s do you guys get ? I get 3.5 Kh/s on each thread with 8 threads on an Intel Core i7

same here...
can you try with wallet plz?
4114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XMG] Magi | 1st POS-II | Fair Distr | Tor | M7M CPU only on: September 15, 2014, 08:42:54 PM
i am minig faster from wallet then from miner

oh yea me too.. now im using 99% cpu
not finding any blocks tho
i found 2 in 2 minutes. with miner 1 block in 5 minutes. I have this one with 100 value. so its working.
miner (v3) says 8.5kH/s and wallet says 19kH/s https://i.imgur.com/744oWza.png

ok but 8.5 * 8 thread = 68khash?
and wallet just 19Khash?

guys, you're just fine with the new miners, every one does have less hash now. Please let me know if you find blocks, just to be sure working fine. (I do see mining in my computer)

but are you telling about testnet?
4116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XMG] Magi | 1st POS-II | Fair Distr | Tor | M7M CPU only on: September 15, 2014, 06:22:24 PM
make sure you create the magi.conf file in your appdata\roaming\magi folder with at least

testnet=1

in the file

thakns!!!
now work well on testnet!!!

when we start it will be released a new wallet or we need just to setup a new magi.conf?

thanks

The dev did say that it can be mined with a gpu. Its just a lot less efficient.
